A great number of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the library, creating rows and aisles of books available for students to read and check out. When returning books to the higher shelves, just hold up the tome and the shelves will take care of the rest; there's a spell on the shelves which summons the returned book to the correct place. Of course, when retrieving a book, they don't 'know' what you're looking for, so those who aren't yet accomplished in the use of the Summoning Charm may use one of the sliding ladders that move around from bookcase to bookcase.
In front of each set of shelves is a small desk with a jar of billywig stingers on it. Students can sit at these desks to complete homework or copy down notes and book references. Be aware that other students may need to access books above you… so mind your head.
You can find any book here that's appropriate for all school years, so browse to your heart's content.

Jake sat astounded for a moment. Well that was a TURN. He was a little baffled for a moment and stood up again, going from pouty to almost serious.
"Neptune..." he said, looking straight at her face. He could deal with a surprise... whatevs. "What ever is the matter?" Jake spoke with a voice hinting that he wanted an answer, very much so. None of this HMPHness.
Without anything else, he kind of very carefully moved forwards and hugggggged Neptune. Gently, like. "I'm sorry."
In his head he was wondering how the heck he'd manage all of this costume lark in such a short space of time. Well... he had the books.

He hadn't, but still.... he did.... FINALLY .... kiss her. Eventually.
How long had it taken?

Yup. When Jake got himself into a relationship, it was only if he really felt he wanted one... and if he cared for the person. That was what this was and he knew it. He cared for Neptune; felt real affection towards her.
He completely forgot where he was... dragon lady? HA. Who cared? He and Neptune were together... time could stand still.
Jake only rested his hands on Neptune's waist and smiled as she squished closer.
It was good to care about someone.
And it was good to be cared about.

Freddie frowned, looking away from Cass as really uncomfortable silence fell upon then. It seemed all the worse in the silence of the library. Freds had never been a good talker and always relied on others to fill in the gaps.. but Cass was obviously feeling uneasy. What happened to the fun loving, bright eyed girl he used to know? It made him SO sad. How could someone make such a U-turn in their behaviour towards you? He just didn't know who the real Cassandra Storm was anymore.
She just seemed so superficial to the lad now. A friendship ruined. Just like that. And all because of stupid jealously.
Dancing and studying. He nodded, eyes moving back to meet hers. "Pretty much the same." He replied in a mumble. "...Not the dancing part.. but studying. I can't really afford to take any time off." He shrugged.. but chewed at his cheek nervously.

Rowan entered the library looking for a book about morphing. Panda was right behind her, as usual. She really wasn't certain whether or not the cat was welcome here but there was no point in trying to make her stay out any way. She had no idea where to begin her search so she simply started walking up and down the aisles, reading titles, and occasionally pulling a book off the shelf to quickly thumb through.

As they entered the muggle studies section, Viola looked at each and every book, trying to see if it will help them with their report on muggle ailments. History of Muggles. Sorry, not interested. Hmm..what's this? Dancing the Muggle Way. Seriously? Is someone ever going to read it? Curing Muggle ailments. Bingo! "Yeah, who knows? We might find something that may be related to the reports we are working on. Lets have a look. By the way, I've found a book as well." " I think yours is going to be... more useful." She looked one last time at Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles, then put it back. " And I think mine is not going to help at all," she said, grinning.
She looked around for more books, but there seemed to be nothing useful. There was a book about muggle law. " Why would we want to know about the muggle law?" Helena, at least, didn't want to live around muggles. She surely needed magic.

Levi strode past numerous shelves, trying to find a book that would hold his interest. He wasn't big on reading--probably because he learned it a bit later than most kids did in life. He wasn't entirely brainless, just a little slow and he always dreaded doing essays and reports. It seemed like he could only make it through a few chapters while other students had already finished the book a month before. Reading just wasn't his thing.
He was in search of a book, no matter what genre it was, with interesting pictures. He had been browsing for something he could use for reference when he was drawing. | |

Cody had been in the Library a lot recently to finish off homework and study. He hardly every talked to anyone in the Library. It was usually a quiet area but this part of the Library, was where everyone went to talk and have fun. Cody needed some of it, which he hadn't had if for a very long time.
