The Kitchen and Hufflepuff Common Room are accessed via the staircase to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall. You follow along a bright corridor adorned with paintings, the most notable of which is the still life of a bowl of fruit (with a particularly ticklish pear). Kte

Legend licked his lips, staring at the younger boy with no expression. Really, was this boy honestly trying to start a fight. “First of all, if you knew anything at all, you would know that the kitchen is down here. Therefore I can get food down here, when meals are not being served.” Get it? Right. Legend thought it was simple enough to understand. “Second of all, I am not a child and you are.” Well technically he wasn’t an adult either. But child? No, that he was not. His younger brother was a child, his younger sister was a child, Legend was basically a man.
“Thirdly...what?” Legend blinked, surprised at the boys next words. “I actually was not pushing her around? I was speaking to both of them. Talking calmly.” Well maybe not so calm but he wasn’t really being mean to them? "And well..fourthly...I’m not 17.” Was fourthly a word? Ah, he’d use it anyways. "You should just calm down kid."

"Well I don't know if I'm 5 years older than you. I don't even know your age. I don't even know who you are." It was an estimate. It seemed pretty close since Legend had just guessed based on the boys height and facial features. "Yeah, I don't know where the Hufflepuff Common Room is. Neither do I know where the Slytherin one or Ravenclaw one is. It's common sense that if you are only really suppose to know where your house is located." Legend guessed it was that way so that they could limit intruders. Not knowing where the Common Rooms were plus not knowing that certain Common Room's password protected the students.
"I didn't call you any names?" What was this dude's point. "I'm not a Prefect, nor am I trying to act like one." Did the Huffie just insult him even futher. Legend rolled his eyes. "Really? Someone to tuck me in then? OHOH! Can you get Professor Tate? I'd love if the Headmaster tucked me into bed." His voice dripped with sarcasm. "Nice meeting you dude. Hopefully we'll see each other on a better basis next time." Legend turned his back, his eyes focusing on the taller Hufflepuff-Alex. So were they really related to Anna?

There was no real reason why the two kids weren't allowed to be be in this corridor, but for some reason these too seemed like the suspicious type. Or maybe that was just in his mind? Legend didn't doubt it. The blond's eyes grew a little as the young looking tall guy spoke. "Really? The Huffie Common Room is down there? Wicked." He hadn't actually seen the location of the Common Room. Legend had really thought that the Puff's were somewhere on the fourth floor or something. Maybe he could even trick the boy into telling him their password? "Your sister? You guys look...like nothing alike." Nothing at all.
He slowly turned his head in the girl's direction. She looked familiar! Maybe....eh, first years weren't important. "I'm a Sixth Year. I'm allowed to go where ever I want, without answering your questions." Legend said with a smirk. Maybe one day little firstie you'd have the privilege. "And a Slytherin. So..you're like the evil twin and this one here-" He jabbed his thumb in the boys direction. "Is the good one." It made sense right? All twins had to have the good and the bad one. "Hallways are not a place for play. That's what the grounds are for. What are your names?" Mwaha. He would make a wicked evil professor.

*Walking down to the common room Matty yawned ready for a nap, or maybe bedtime... Looking down the hall he saw a taller kid and three short ones. Walking over to them he saw the he knew one of them. "Woah power puff... and others. What's going on here?"
She smiled back at him. "So there is no convincing you to wear gold and black, huh? Actually, I don't have anything in either of those house colors. I might have a green shirt, but I'm not sure." She out her arms around him and gave him a hug. As she leaned her head against his chest she said, "Is your house going to be ok with a Hufflepuff sitting with you?" She was worried a bit, but only a bit because she knew Benjamin would keep her safe. She looked up at him and smiled at the thought of learning the game. "And you promise to teach me about the game, right? Like what a beating is and a sighter?"
"Yeah, I will. They won't know you're a Huffie if you wear green. But if you do get spotted from another snake, just say you like our house better." He grinned as he said this and gave her kiss in each cheek and said, "It's just about curfew. So you better get your common room at least and I'll do the same. Ok?"

Jaina smiled. She knew she'd be safe with him. "I'll be sure to wear it, then, but only for you." She blushed when he kissed her cheeks, her hair going slightly pink. "You know, the more I get to know you, the more I really hate curfew," she smirked. "I'll go, but it's under protest," she frowned. "Am I meeting you down by the pitches? I have something for you." She leaned up and gave him a soft kiss his cheek.

"Ummm, no, you'll meet me in front of the Great Hall, wearing a green sweater and black pants. What'd ya get me? I'l still act surprised when you give it to me. I promise." All of a sudden, he was getting all excited and didn't want to go down to the dungeons. but just then, the clock struck 10, and he kissed her one last time on the cheek and said, "I'll see you tomorrow, babe." and he headed down to the dungeons.

Sierra glared at the Puffer Boy. Simply glared at him. She was not amused by his flower bed comments--at all. She just wouldn't pick an argument with him right now either. Not over flower beds. She had bigger and better things to think about right now--like the fact that the Puffer and the Lion were about to have a row right here in the corridor. So the glare would have to do for now.

Sierra and Alex- wait....Greingoth. Legend tapped his finger agaisnt his chin. That wasn't really a common last name now was it? He had only known one person with that last name. "Are you guys by any chance related to Anna Greingoth? Former Head Girl?" Where they!?! Legend had obviously been Anna's favourite first year. She even seemed so happy to see him when she had come during the job fair.
He snorted. "I'm not here to play. I'm here to make sure you children and others like you don't get into anything they shouldn't. And...to get some food." He nudged his head to the direction of the fruit painting.
Before he could say anything else, another kid made his way over. The Hufflepuff began to tell a story about a sixth year Gryffindor getting lost down here and starving to death.
...Honestly? Legend rolled his eyes. "Nice story. Maybe you can sell it and it could end up as one of the new stories in Beedle the Bard." Yeah kid you didn't scare him. He was not about to fight with some little kid either. "Or maybe you wouldn't mind going upstairs with me and telling my friends about it too? I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it." Legend's green eyes sparkled with amusement. Now that would be interesting. "Either way, I think it would be in your best interest to not mouth off about someone who is like 5 years older than you, and at least 5 inches taller."
"She's our older sister," Sierra answered, turning her attention back to the Gryffindor who apparently knew Anna. She rolled her eyes in annoyance when he mentioned that he was here to make sure children didn't get into anything they shouldn't. Really now. Seriously? "...and what do you plan to do if someone does get into something they shouldn't?" she asked. Hmm, Lion Boy? What would you be able to do?

Why was this guy still talking? Legend was trying to be good and ignore him but of course the Puff kept shooting back. "Actually, no not like a Prefect. Like an elder, who knows that playing in the halls is frowned upon by Professors." If anything he was saving them the trouble of losing House points if any Professor caught them. Legend would brush it off though. This boy did not seem to understand. "If you are not a teenager. And you are not an adult. You are a child." There. THHERE. It was logic. But...meh. "But whatever, fine, calm down. I get your point. Starting fights isn't the right way to get your point across though."

Older sister? Legend knew, the last name was too strange to be common. "Really? Wicked. My name's Legend Chosen, I was Anna's like favourite firstie when she was head girl." Mwaha good times. Anna's annoyed reactions were always the best. "Or least favourite. I never did ask her what she thought about me..." Legend stroked his chin as he though. Probably a whole bunch of bad things.
"Well....I would just stand here and watch. It would be bound to be interesting." Watching first years getting into things they shouldn't, that was enough entertainment for a week. "And probably stop it if someone was about to get hurt." Or attacked by a House Elf. You know, the usual.

Alex had simply been watching the developments in the kitchen corridor quietly, looking from the Gryffindor to the Hufflepuff to the other Hufflepuff who showed up...WHY couldn't he just have a private conversation with his sister! That was one of the only things he wasn't really a fan of at Hogwarts...there was no privacy. Anywhere.
"Erm, thanks for trying to stand up for us, dude," he said--if the Hufflepuff had a name, he hadn't caught it yet, although he clearly knew Sierra and seemed to know of him? "I appreciate it but, if you all don't mind..." he said, looking at the Hufflepuff to the grumpy Gryffindor with a polite smile. "I think my sister and I are going to take our conversation elsewhere. Nothing personal, we just need a moment alone," he explained.
He mainly just wanted to get out of there in case any punches started getting thrown. Plus he could see Sierra was getting a bit of an attitude, which was never a good thing, and it was his duty as older brother to stop her from saying something she'd regret.
Yup. What were twin brothers for, right?

Sierra eyed this Legend Chosen boy. The way he talked about his friendship--or whatever it was--with Anna, made Sierra think that Anna probably really hadn't liked this boy after all. To be honest, Sierra wouldn't have blamed her either. Legend Chosen seemed to be annoying, but what did she know? She'd only known the boy for about ten minutes.
"Right. Well, I'll have to tell her you mentioned her," she said, curious as to what Anna's reaction would be. She just rolled her eyes at his other comment, the one about what he'd do if someone ended up getting into trouble down here on the kitchen level corridor. Actually, she couldn't really blame him, though. "Yeah, well, I'm with you on that one. It is pretty entertaining watching trouble in the making," she agreed. After all, Legend and Michael's argument had just made her day.

Well, that was that then, she guessed. Big brother had spoken, and apparently they were taking their leave now. Of course they were twins and neither of them was really the "big" or "little" sibling, but they'd always just referred to Alex as the big brother, since he was born four minutes earlier than she was.
"Alright, well, I guess we'll see you two later then," she said, giving both Legend and Michael a parting glance. She hoped they didn't tear each other to shreds once left alone.

Darlin'--she'd get him later for that one. Not now, though, because mentioning it would probably just start yet another argument. "Have a good day," she said to him, which was her way of saying thank you for taking up for her, even if she didn't need anyone to do that.
With all that done, she turned on her heels and headed off down the corridor.

When Evelyn didn't come back down the steps, Destiny decided she should go up them. So, with the package under her arm, because she watched muggle movies and she knew once she let go of it, it would explode, she made her way up the steps. She was taking her time as well. One wrong movement could set the thing off, too.
She almost made it to the top of the landing when she heard what her friend said. Stopping in her tracks, she looked at Evelyn and blinked quite a few times. Don't get it near her!?
"BUT!! We have to disentangle it. I mean dismember it..I mean DISMANTLE! That's the right word."I think."We have to cut the red wire! Or the blue one..or was it yellow?"
Sweet Merlin, she is going to DIE!

Disentangle it? No, dismember it? Did it have arms?
Or not.
Lowering her wand and letting her arm hang by her side for the moment, the Slytherin blinked at the girl before frowning in confusion. "Red, blue, and yellow wires? What are you talking about?" she asked, her eyes flickering from the box, to back to Destiny a few times. "Just put a freezing charm on it." That's…what you were supposed to do right? Freeze the bomb? She saw those things on the tellimission. Well...the end parts anyhow. It could blow up this whole school!
…"How do you even know it's a bomb?" It just looked like a gift to her, but then again, Destiny could be right. Constant Vigilance!

What was she talking about? WHAT WAS SHE TALKING ABOUT!?
"I'm talking about the bomb!" Destiny would have taken the package from under her arm and gave it a good ole' shaking, but she knew that would just make the thing explode faster. "How do you think they make bombs, huh? They connect all these wires and then there is only one that you can cut to stop it from exploding."
And unfortunately, for the WHOLE castle, Destiny Shepard forgot which wire that was.
Huffing and rolling her eyes at Evelyn and her OBVIOUS lack of muggle knowledge, she continued up the steps, closer to her friend and despite the fact that she could blow up at any moment, she wanted her horn back. "You can't freeze muggle bombs, Evelyn."
How did she know it was a bomb? HOW DID SHE KNOW IT WAS A BOMB!?
"It's wrapped in brown paper."
Duh.

Fallon raised an eyebrow. She'd never heard of anyone having a raccoon as a pet. It was a really interesting idea though. "That's so cool. What's it like having a raccoon for a pet?" She'd never even been that close to one. She didn't know how it would act or anything like that.
Fallon frowned. Snuggles had disappeared on her once or twice before. It sucked when she couldn't find him right away. He usually turned up though. "I'm sorry. I'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later. And until he does I'll keep my eyes out for him." It couldn't be that incredibly hard to miss a raccoon when you were looking for one.
Preston gave a sigh and then a chuckle. "W-well. R-Ring-Ringo is-isn't a-a norm-normal ra-raccoon." Preston told her as he rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet. "H-he's m-more l-l-like a c-c-cat." He told her with a signature Turner kid goofy smile. It was hard to explain to someone unless they saw the raccoon for themselves. And Preston was willing to let Fallon see him, just he had to find the pet animal first.
"I-I h-hope h-he is-isn't up in th-the owl-owlery." Preston muttered, his eyes suddenly got wide. The last time that happened, Ringo nearly toppled out of the window trying to paw at an owl that was flying out with mail. If it hadn't been for Preston catching him at the last moment, the raccoon would be no more.

Lifting her head up to looking at Lexi, the Slytherin took in one more giant breath and let it out to try and ease the coughing before standing up straight, and placing her hands on her hips while looking around the corridor. It almost seemed as if…the smoke was creeping its way into here as well. Heck, she couldn't really tell. Her eyes as it was had had too much smoke, ash, dirt, and tears in them.
Who know who? Like…omg, Lexi was totally right. She didn’t want you know who to catch them when she JUST was starting to get back on the woman’s good side. "You're right." She said breathlessly with a nod. Ground floor? She would probably die from no air entering her lungs by then but…it was for their own safety.
"This…this never happened." She nodded, just before Lexi started to tug her along. Covering her mouth as a few coughs escaped her, hazel eyes glanced back to where they came before looking towards the way they were going. Right, that wasn’t them that did that. Merlin, she was so in shock, she was letting the Gryffindork touch her arm!
…Right, never happened.
Smoke was DEFINITELY billowing out of the passage as they made their escape. Lexi still clung to Evelyn's arm as she wheezed and coughed and all that junk. "DEFINITELY never happened, dude," she said between BIG gasps of air.
She ran as fast as she could and clung to the girl tugging her along... they were almost to the ground floor which meant the entrance hall which meant FRESH AIR! Thank MERLIN!
"Come... on.... almost tthere..." she wheezed as they went along.

Okay, it definitely wasn’t her eye sight that was messed up. Once they made it to the next corridor and floor, the air began clearing up which meant…the dungeons were going to be pretty much filled with smoke. Wha? "Dude…" she started, her voice shaking from both taking short breaths and running, turning her head to take a quick peak back to the smoky area behind them before turning back to Lexi with a scowl. "Stop…calling me…dude."
Dude. Pfft.
As the girl sprinted faster, Evelyn managed to keep up, though the smoke had made all of this more difficult. She couldn't BREATHE! Almost there? Where were they going again? Ground…floor…right. Just another floor up. Crud….this was hard.
Jaina walked down the corridor holding onto Benjamin's hand. "Well, I'm going to say something Beatrice would never say to Benedict. Thank you, my lord, for a most wonderous evening." She said with a curtsey. "I just wish it didn't have to end," she frowned. "I'm sorry I keep saying that, but I feel like if I keep wishing it'll happen." She watched her shoes for a bit. "Oh well."
