Fallon looked up from her skates as Simon joined her. "Of course you can!" She figured that she might want to warn him about her clumsiness when it comes to skating though. As soon as he had his on, she turned to him. "I'm just warning you now, you may see me fall every now and then." More like a lot...

Fallon smiled at little Simon again. This was the most fun she was forcing herself to have in a while. But she wasn't going to think about her social problems. Today was all about learning to ice skate.

Alex walked slowly towards the ice skating rink. Very, very slowly. In fact, he took one step every five minutes and never lost eyecontact with the frozen water. He had never done anything like that before. He didn't even see the happy students skating around or hear their laughter all he heard was the warning alarm that started off in his mind.

Yeah, that was what he should have been doing if his best friends hadn't used their puppy eyes on him. So now, there he was. All dressed out in his Slytherin winter robes and cluthing a pair of skates that would probably be the death of him.

Finally he broke the glare at the rink and managed to look around him, where was Fee and Emma anyway? He hugged his skates closer to his body and glanced around like the professional ninja that he was. Man, this was not Alex style getting all nervous. 'It's just like walking' End of quotation, yeah right Emma. It's on frozen water, how in Merlin's stinking socks would he be able to walk on frozen water? He was a wizard but no way was that possible without dying in the process.

People, let's watch Slytherin's beater fall and break all his bones shall we?

Simon was sure there was something wrong with Fallon, he had no idea what was wrong but he decided that he wouldn't ask her anything, if she wanted to speak he would listen to her. "I've missed you Fallon." Simon sighed, he hadn't seen her for ages.

Simon suddenly realised something, why was he allowing himself to have fun when he was upset about something. "Well at least I won't be the only one to fall over." Simon laughed. "Last time I tried to use roller skates I fell over so I doubt, I'll be very good at Ice skating." Simon looked at the ice rink and sighed.

ICE SKATING!!! EMMA LOVED ICE SKATING! Almost as much as Quidditch. The blonde was humming a song as she came to the Lake. Emma saw Alex and ran over to him, with her skates in her hand. OOh.. He didn't look to happy..."Hey Alex! Are you ready? Just like walking." she exclaimed happily, winking at him, whilst putting her skates down. The blonde gave her partner in crime a hug. She put her ice skates on quickly, don't waste anytime. Now, she had to wait for Alexbear to get his skates on and Fee. She looked around for Fee. Hmm.. Maybe she was already out there?

"Close your eyes!" she exclaimed at Alex. She turned away quickly, got her wand out and tapped her bag. The bag opened and she reached in. A few minutes later she had a huge present in her hands. It was wrapped in green paper and now all that was left was for Alex to open it. "You can open your eyes!" she said.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"

Fallon smiled at the younger boy. "I've missed you too. Haven't seen you since the train." And that really was a long time ago. She couldn't believe that she hadn't seen him in that long. She was going to make more of an effort to see all of her friends that were still left in school from now on.

Fallon chuckled. "Yep. That's my problem too. But I'm not one to give up easily." She was stubborn in that way. But she didn't like to be wrong, or to lose. And not being able to do something she wanted to just made her a little bit angry.

Isobel watched people as they came down to the lake. She caught sight of one boy who looked...nervous. "Hello," she said with a hint of uncertainty in her voice. "A...are you alright?" She asked curiously.

Dallin, trying to look cool, spun quickly in a circle. The problem was that while turning, he caught sight of a whole bunch of purple, and lost his balance (Yes, he was choosing to blame Satine for making him lose his balance. It's how he worked). So, he ended up landing on his butt about three feet in front of Satine, facing her.

He blinked a few times to fight back the embarrassment that was threatening to redden his face, and instead tried to make it look like he had meant to fall. He ran a hand through his hair and smirked at Satine when she called him 'cutie patootie.'

"Hey, gorgeous," he retorted, rolling onto his knees. He glanced over at her, then looked away when he realized he had just called a sixth year gorgeous. Then he realized that he was fifteen now, and she wasn't much older than him anyway. "Fine day for skating, don'tcha think?" He flashed a smile at her before pushing himself onto his feet. He wobbled a few times, then caught his balance, his arms straight out to his side, probably looking like he wanted to fly.

Mmm, ice skating sounded challenging, yet utterly FUN. And Anakin was quite excited to give it a go. Strapping on a pair of skates obtained from the room of requirement, lovely place, he tentavily stepped out, giving a small push away from the edge and gliding out towards the middle.

Heh. This wasn't THAT hard. In fact it was kind of easy. ^___^

Well, at least he THOUGHT it would be until, BAM. Down went Ani.

"I can teach you," she offered, shuffling in place on her skates. Standing still suddenly seemed difficult. "I taught Ivory and Treyen to rollerblade, I'm sure teaching you to ice skate won't be too hard."

Yes, there was a big difference that she was aware of, but there was also many similarities that she thought would make teaching Ellie easy.

Ruby skated around the edge of the ice rink, she looked at the other people as they skated happily. Her dark eyes were drawn to a boy who stepped onto the ice, she held back a laugh as the boy fell on his face. She smiled a small smile and skated gracefully over to him. "Do you need some help," she asked looking down at him and offering her hand.

She greatly resisted the urge to laugh out loud, but the little voice inside of her head was hysterically laughing. HAHAHHAHAHA!

Meh. That's what he got for being cocky. A mouth full of ice. Yum yum. Not. Flipping himself over onto his back, Anakin tried to contemplate the best possible way for him to be able to stand, without falling back down again right after. Meh. This would be difficult.

And then a hand was in front of him, and Anakin followed it to the face in which it belonged, grasping it and pulling himself up with a thankful smile. "Thanks Miss. Much appreciated." Or else he'd probably still be laying in the snow like a loooosaaah.

Ruby smiled as she helped the boy up, "You are very welcome," she said cheerfully as the boy stood up and balanced himself. "I am Ruby Ciao," she said with a grin, "you okay, you took a nasty fall." A nasty fall that was utterly hilarious from someone else's point of view.

Satine couldn't help but laugh at Dallin as he fell. She hoped she hadn't made him loose his balance but then it did make her feel better that he was on his butt now just as she was.

She smiled at Dallin as he said 'Hey gorgeous'...she knew that if it wasn't so cold and her cheeks weren't already red from it that he would be able to see her blushing. There was something about this little fourthie that always made her smile and get...well like this...

She rolled onto her knees following his lead and then stepped up on her right foot slowly trying hard to keep her balance. She took another step with her left foot and she was standing again. She gave Dallin a thumbs up.

"Well, the only thing that would make it better would be no coldness..." she paused looking around, "I love the snow and the natural sparkle of it and I love the ice on the lake, but I wish the temperature was like 70 and that the ice and snow would still stay..." yes that would be just perfect.

"So how's Hogwarts treating you?" she said with a smile and a wink as she turned in a little circle on her skates with her hair flipping behind her.

The curly blonde headed girl made her way down to the very muchly talked about ice-skating rink thing that was set up on the lake. So yeahhh she had never really ice-skated before. Only a few times at the indoor rink that was downtown close to where she lived in South Carolina. She wasn't sure if she had lost the ice-skating touch that was once there. It wasn't as if she was totally suck-ish at balancing, but she certainly wasn't an expert either. Ehh she would vote for somewhere in between.

The young lady arrived down at the lake and took off her purple Uggs and replaced them with the white pair of skates she had got off one of her fellow roomies who shared the same shoe size. Sadie was hesitant to leave her precious shoes all by themselves considering how expensive they were. If someone really wanted them though, she did have a pink pair in her dorm. The tall blonde fixed the glittery silver headband and then carefully stood up and made her way to the ice.

She slowly set a foot on the ice and then the other, doing her best to stay upright and not topple over like she just witnessed so many kids do. One foot in front of the other, baby steps, she thought to herself. She put her arms out for balance and slowly picked up speed. Her eyes were on her feet because she was afraid she was going trip over them. What if this ice broke?! Meeeep! There were a lot of kids and who knew how much weight it could hold. Or what if the giant squi----

BAM!

She squealed and realized she had just run into another kid. The girl fell down on the cold ice and looked over to see who she had just hit....

Heh… heheh! Braeden had made it a whole two minutes on the ice without falling. He deserved a gold medal. He was so proud of himelf, he would've patted himself on the back but he was too scared of losing the bit of balance he had worked so hard to gather. Slowly, he began to move away from the boards around the edges of the ice. It was time for the next level - he needed to skate over to the middle of the rink, where everyone else was and where there was nothing to hold onto (except fellow students, but Braeden was hoping dearly he wouldn't need to hold on to someone's hair or something to keep himself from falling).

He was doing it! Sure, he was going a bit slow (actually, turtle-like slow), but he was doing it! The longer he spent on the ice, the more the boy seemed to remember how to skate, how to move smoothly over the ice and pick up speed. He remembered the on-ice races he'd hold with his little sister and wondered where all that skill had gone. Perhaps it had disappeared in the last year that he hadn't done any ice skating. But he was getting it back now, and that was all that-- CRASH!

And now Braeden lay face-down on the ice.
Oh. Yeah. That… yeah, that hadn't been a nice fall. He wasn't sure what exactly had happened, but all of a sudden he felt himself being pushed forward and his forehead hitting the ice. Owww… Oddly enough, though, the cold of the ice seemed to numb out the pain. Along with the rest of his face.

With difficulty, the Gryffindor boy turned and sat up on the ice, rubbing his forehead with a gloved hand before opening his brown eyes. ALRIGHT. Who thought it would be funny to push him onto the ice like that?! He looked around for the culprit but instead found a pretty blonde girl down on the ice looking as puzzled as he did. Oh Merlin. Girl down! Oh no. Braeden to the rescue! Quickly, the clumsy Gryffindor boy managed to get back up to his feet, wobbling for a second before gaining balance and approaching the girl he could only assume had been the one to crash into him a second ago.

"Are you alright?" asked the boy, his breath leaving traces of warmth in the cold air as he held out a gloved hand to the blonde girl. Eep. Hopefully he hadn't killed her (yeah 'cause this was totally his fault... guilty conscience attacks again).

With her skates in hand, the Hufflepuff quietly made her way down to the lake. It had been weeks since she had gotten to skate, that day at Room of Requirement hardly counted as anything except for the reason it had been so long since she last put her skates on. What with the tantrum that had caused her to fall awkwardly on her ankle. But never mind that, Katie wasn't going to allow her thoughts to drift in that direction. She was going to skate, no serious practicing, and just have fun.

Or that was the plan at least. Arriving at the partially frozen lake, Katie took her time to pull on her skates and lace them up, making sure they were good and tight, her shoes being shoved into her backpack that she left out of the way, off to one side before stepping out onto the slick ice surface.

Carter hurried to the lake as soon as he heard the news. That's right. The lake was frozen enough to skate on! He strapped on his skates and stepped on the edge of the frozen lake. It had been years since he had done this last. He took a few glides then his feet slipped out from under him.

He wasn't very good at skating the last time he tried too.

Staking on the Frozen Lake' had ripped through the school like wildfire, and there was noway Patroclus going to miss out on it.

Having run from the Great Hall, to the Seventh Floor to grab his skates, back down and across the grounds, it was little wonder that the Prefect arrived by the lake side, panting for breathe. But even that was not going to stop him, infact it had been a warm up.

Flopping himself down on the ground, Patroclus ripped on his boots, and shoved his feet into his stakes. Jumping to his feet, he bunny ran to the lake's edge and placed his skates on the ice, one at a time. However he hadn't tied the left boot all that tight, and the next thing he knew, his arms were waving in the air like windmills, trying to balance himself.

Seconds from falling, he reached out and grabbed the closest thing he could.....let did he know it was the arm of a Hufflepuff student.

It didn't take Destiny very long to find out about the lake being frozen. And even though she had no idea how to skate, she decided to go and see. Ice and people meant lots of falling down and that was something she enjoyed watching. Like on the muggle box. Those moving pictures were people get hurt.

So funny.

Arriving at the lake, she picked a spot to stand, far enough away so any out of control skaters couldn't run into her and where she could look at everyone. Sweet Merlin there was a lot of people! There was Raccoon Girl, Perfect Prefect Patroclus and..Carter! Carter who fell.

Laughing hysterically, she pointed a finger towards him. "HAHAHA CARTER!" It was even more funny because she knew him.

Caroline continued to the rink after that strange incounter with the young girl who was her long lost cousin? She shrugged but went on her way to the rink. She stepped onto the rink. She balaced herself out and began to push her feet to move around the rink. It had been a while since she had skated. She wasn't nervious about skating again. She skated around the rink a few times.

For now." Or for the rest of the day. She wasn't about to make a fool of herself infront of the school. Ahem.

"I presume you are a good skater, then?" She smiled back, looking at his skates. If he was to help the other kiddos, then probably. Hm.

Chad chuckled. "I do not mean to toot my own horn...but...yeah." He laughed and shrugged gently. "Come on. I promise not to let you fall." He smiled at her, hoping she would change her mind. Skating with a buddy was always fun.

Which gave him an idea. "I'd like to see you try." he said with a grin as he carefully(ish) skated over toward her.

Just as soon as her feet hit the ice and one foot went to glide foward, someone had grabbed her arm, startling the Hufflepuff just a little bit but not enough to stop her from turning slightly, instinct causing her to gently but firmly grab the boy's arm and try to help him stay upright.

That was quick. Barely out on the ice and already, there was flailing and falling. Of course, she refrained from saying anything like that, more concerned that the boy she recognized as a Gryffindor kept his balance. She really didn't want to fall with him. "Are you alright?" Katie asked after a second, leaning the toepick of her right skate into the ice to keep balanced herself.

Sucking in a few deep breathes, Destiny finally stopped laughing when Carter skated over to her. She was hoping he would fall again because he was getting awfully close and seeing it that close up? It would be twenty times funnier.

Shaking her head when he spoke about seeing her skate, she pointed to her feet. "Well, you won't be seeing me out there. I don't have any skates. Besides, I like watching people fall from over here."

She gave him a little shoo with her hand.

Go on. Go fall again so we can laugh.

Starring at his savior, whilst bending almost completely in a back-arch, Patroclus smiled, and pushed himself up, "Hey, thanks!"

Getting right on his feet, Patroclus quickly bend down and retied his shoelass on his left boot, "I am now!" He grinned, "Sorry about that, my boot wasn't on right, but it's all good now. Thanks for catching me!"

Looking at the older girl, the Lion was sure he had seen her around, but he had never meet, nor spoken to her, "I am Patroclus by the way!" he introduced himself, holding out a hand,"The boy that almost pulled you down with him."

The boy was a klutz today.
