Helena just stood there on the ice, starting to feel cold. She was about to get up but... Viola fell too, in her attempt of saving her. "Are you alright?" She asked pretty concerned, but half smiling. They had SO much to learn. They barely touched the ice and already fell. Hehe.

She managed to get up and sloooowly slided towards Viola, holding out a hand to help her up. "We have so much work to do to improve our skating," she said, giggling.

"Hmm, sounds good to me." He wouldn't dream about changing anything of what they shared together.

Grinning, he followed Arya's eyes to the ice and then back to her. "Well, I think that is up to you, Miss Skating Instructor."

"You really have better blance than you think you do" Rex told Helena. ' All you have to do is be sure of yoruself and you will not fall down" Rex said to Helena." Try again, you will get it" Rex smiled.

" Let a fellow Gryffindor help you up" Rex told the fallen girl. He streched out his hand to help the girl. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to her. "Is this yoru first time ice-skating?' Rex asked her.

" I see this is your only winter sport here, that is unusual" Rex told Kyle. " Yes, I heard the game was dangerous" Rex said to Kyle. "Wedding plans are on hiatus now ril Rene feels better" Rex sxplained to Kyle. " Good for you" Rex clapped his hands about Kyle's house points.

"Well," she drawled playfully. "If you can handle skating together without falling then I saw we go for that." Could he handle it? She wasn't all to sure, but she sure had a way of finding out.

Glancing up at him, she started to slowly shuffle her skates, letting that along with the look she was giving him be a warning for her starting to slowly skate backwards while still keeping her arms around his waist.

Kyle nodded, "sorry about that, hope Rene feels better soon for your sakes." She smiled, Kyle laughed as Rex clapped, "Anyways thanks Rex, I'm going to go off skate a bit, just need to be physical?" She smiled, as she skated off slipping as she did and tumbling into a hopeless bystander.

"Sorry" she called out standing up, and helping the other people back up as well. One looked vaguely familiar...

The redhead fell to the ground as the older student fell into her. She tried to regain her composure on the already tough terrain for her, Selina was a Quidditch player not an ice skater. She grabbed the outstretched hand that helped pull her to her feet. Once she was up she smiled at the other two girls who were with her and said goodbye to them.

She turned back around to see Kyle apologizing, "No need to say your sorry. Not exactly the best on the ice... I'm assuming the both of us?" Selina fixed her jacket and smiled.

"Normally i'm better than this, it was the only sport I'd actually not managed to nearly kill someone in..." she joked, "anyways, I'm Kyle, its a pleasure to meet you." She smiled, "even if it is on well...unsteady circumstances!" She smiled.

Selina smiled at the older student, "We've met before. Of course then I was a tad bit a shorter... by a lot. At the Prefect Party. And I'm Selina by the way."

Just as she went to shake her hand Selina could feel her feet slipping out from underneath her, "Bugger. I hate the ice. I am so terrible at it."

"Aw, I thought you looked familiar to a point in the blur of falling!" Kyle smiled, "Oh, and I think we also talked during the charms class, the chocolate frog-war thingy..." However you would describe that, it was a fun day. "If you want to go sit on the edge of the lake away from the ice, we can just talk and drink hot cocoa!"

Selina nodded, "Yeah that was a fun class. Of course we were enemies in the fight to bring home the frogs!"

At the suggestion Selina nodded quickly, "Yes please. I do not have my land legs. I fly so this only makes it worse."

She looked up and her face turned pink. Feeling a little bit embarrassed, she held out her hand and grabbed his hand, accepted his offer. "Ahh thank you!" She smiled slightly at him as she was trying her best to steady her feet. "I'm Ally. Alicia Weasley. First year." She introduced herself quite confidently. "Uhh.. actually, no. I've skated before. But it's been a while." She explained. "Oh, nice to meet you by the way.. Rex. I am sure you're not a first year, right?" She asked nicely as her smile still appeared on her face.

" Rene will get better" Rex told Kyle." You go off and dakte" Rex said to Kyle. "Enjoy yourself" Rex smiled.

" Hello Alicia Weasley and you are very welcome." Rex told her."Well, it is just like riding a bike, once you know, you never forget" Rex said to Alicia." I am a seventh year" Rex smiled. "Are you related to my friend Jason Potter Weasley?' Rex asked Alicia.

Viola sat on the ice, shivering and wondered if she would be able to skate at all. She giggled when she noticed how both of them fell down, even before they started skating. "I think I am. You?" asked Viola with a hint of a smile on her face, hoping that Helena was alright as well.

"Thank you." Viola said, somehow managing to get up with Helena's help. They seriously needed to learn to skate. "I agree. We are terrible!" said Viola, with a laugh.

Helena smiled back, showing Viola that she was alright. Or at least going to be in a few moments, most probably. "I'm... good." Her... back hurt a bit, but she'll be juuust fine.

She grinned. "You're so right." About the 'terrible' thing.

"Okay, we can finally stay on the ice," she said, laughing. "I'm... afraid to do anything else." Her cheeks were turning red... again. Ice skating looked so simple. But it really wasn't.

"Ha! Who said I'd wear tights? And you should give up. Before I accidentally hurt you. It would happen. I cant throw or anything." she said. She couldn't be taught. Being taught lead to eventually hurting people.

Viola concentrated on moving forward slowly. She stretched her hands on both the sides to balance herself. Her knee was hurting a bit but apart from that she was alright.

"Yeah. We really should be careful now." said Viola, carefully making her way to the centre of the lake.

Somehow, they managed to skate slowly, without falling down. "Let's not try anything else." said Viola, with a smile. Better not to take any chances.

Helena smiled, then tried to skate a bit. She... kind of slided for a little bit, until she almost fell again. But she didn't this time. HA! The girl looked around for Viola, who was clearly doing better than she was. "You're getting better already."

"That's a great idea," she said, nodding in agreement. They shouldn't try something else, unless they wanted to fall again. "Do you want to try to get back?" Not that she wanted to. They could stay there on the ice. That way, they wouldn't fall on their way back. But of course, they couldn't just stay there until the ice melted. Helena didn't even know how to swim.

Viola skated slowly, carefully trying to avoid the other skaters. At one point, she almost fell again but she regained balance at the last minute. "Thanks. You are not doing too bad either." she replied with a smile. She liked this skating thing, kind of.

Viola replied with a "Yeah", as she continued to move forward. "Well, lets just skate around for a little bit and then get back. If you don't mind, that is." Viola said, turning to look at Helena. They'll have to go back soon, though.

Apparently he wasn't given much say in the matter, given she was already skating backwards with him before he could even say boo. As he saw it there were two ways he could proceed; let her guide him and keep his legs stationary, or take up some of the responsibility and move as well. The only problem with the second option was that he was more likely to drop them both to the ice.

Still, making her carry his weight seemed like the less respectable option, and so with his eyes on his skates, he shuffled them slowly and carefully, focusing on keeping his balance and keeping them upright.

Helena grinned. Even if Viola said that just to make her feel better or not, she wanted to believe she was actually doing better. That would help her... psychically.

"Sure, I don't mind" she smiled, following Viola as if she was on slow motion. That way she wouldn't fall too soon. But there was that excitement, that she could finally skate... looking funny or not, so she kind of sped up a bit. When she was finally getting closer to Viola, she wanted to stop, but...

She fell.

"Hmph," she mumbled, still sitting on the ice. Yes, she was pouting. And yes, her feet hurt a bit, but Helena was sooo mad! She kind of forgot to complain about the pain. She wanted to complain about her feet, refusing to cooperate and skate properly.

Adelyn had just laced up her skates, and stood at the edge of the frozen pond, looking out at it nervously. She had only ever ice skated a few times in her life, so she was a little worried about how this was going to turn out. She tucked a loose curl behind her ear, before stepping out onto the ice.

One foot in front of the other...then the other... It couldn't be that hard. Actually, it was relatively easy! She glanced around for someone she knew, and spotted Maddie. "Hey, Maddie!"

Arya hadn't expected him to join in on the skating with her, but it was easier to pull him when he was skating as well. After watching their feet for a long moment to make sure that they wouldn't collide, and loosening her grip so that her hands were on his sides, she glanced up at him with a soft smile.

This was fun. And if she wasn't worried about falling, then she would pull him in for snuggles and maybe do some spins as well. Spins on skates was fun. Instead she just settled for watching him watch their feet.

Christopher was skating around the rink, flowing along perfectly. His younger sister had helped him learn a while back and now he was a pro. But he was starting to get seriously frustrated. Not about skating, but the fact the he didn't have any friends. He litterally had three friends, and all three were eleven year old girls. One of those girls was his sister. He felt himself begin to move faster and faster, but he didn't really mind it. Christopher was just so shy. He wondered how other people made friends so easily. It was just driving him crazy! He stopped near the edge of the ice to grab some hot cocoa. Maybe a friend would come along! But it was more likely that he would have to get up the nerve to just talk to people.

" Ok, you would see in my tights" Rex laughed. " You will not hurt me, I tust you" Rex told Anna." I beleive you would be good at soccer and football" Rex said to Anna. " You can really ice skate and I beleive you can do aln=most any sport" Rex explained to Anna.

Viola smiled as she started skating around the lake slowly. Her knees stopped trembling, at last.

"Okay." Viola said, slowly coming to a stop near the centre the lake and carefully turning around to face Helena. Ouch! Helena fell again. That really must have hurt. "Are you alright?", Viola asked, concerned and also trying not to smile. She started skating towards the fallen Helena. Helena seemed mad. Well, who wouldn't be? Especially, after falling down twice.

Viola noticed a boy, who didn't look much older than her, skating around the lake. He really did skate well. In fact, he seemed like a pro. "You skate very well." Viola said or nearly shouted, since he was standing now, near the edge of the ice, a long way away from them. Helena and herself, that is.
