Helena looked around for a log or something to sit down, but couldn't find anything. Instead, she propped herself to the nearest tree and put on the skates. Buuut she was not exactly sure if she was going to use them. She sighed. A scared Slytherin. That's something you don't see every day.

Making a few steps further, going back to Rex, she noticed a familiar face this time. "Hey, Kyle," she smiled. "It's a long time since I last saw you."

He could feel the heat rise on his face as the distinctive click of the camera sounded rather close by. Focusing on tying the knots was a little difficult with the distraction, but after a few minutes he managed to complete the last one. And in all his wiseness, he hopped up and attempted to dart forward to catch her in some semblance of a hug.

Apparently the ice wanted first dibs on contact and after the second push of his skates, he was sprawled out like a beached starfish, the wind completely knocked out of him. Amazingly, there was a moment of clarity with the fall; it had been several years since he last skated.

All his blushing was cute, and had her wondering how the pictures would turn out when developed. Probably even more blushing. Well, she couldn't say that she was surprised that he'd ended up sprawled on the ice so quickly. But she was worried as to how this skating endeavor would go. Was it too late to simply take a walk?

Tucking her camera away, she knelt down beside him with a worried expression, head tilting down to peer at his face. "Sabel...are you okay?" He didn't break anything did he??

As the air came back into his lungs, laughter pressed it out again. Rolling onto his back, he let his arms flop to either side of himself, one managing to pat the toe of Arya's skate.

It took a good minute before the laughter subsided enough that he had enough breath to talk with, and he rolled his head to grin at Arya. "I think we missed each other. The ice and I."

A grin slowly creeped onto her expression though the worry never went away, when he started to laugh. She briefly considered that he was laughing because his head hit the ice too hard, even stroked his forehead gently to check. But no bump or blood was too be found, lessening her worry a bit.

She shook her head slowly. "If you keep this up, you'll be one with the ice." Maybe she should cast a cushioning charm like she'd done with Ellie? It seemed more necessary with him than it had with her. "So your okay?"

Grinning, Sabel craned his neck up and kissed the palm of the hand that had set to stroking his forehead. "I'm fine." Another chuckle left him as he pushed himself up onto his elbows, tilting his head playfully at Arya. "I think...I've learned how to properly take a fall."

All her worry dissipated at his kiss, and her grin widened. "Good." It would really ruin the day if he was hurt. She rested her forearms on her knees when he shifted his position. "Thought you would have learned that long ago," she teased. "Guess that Griffindor stubbornness kept you from doing so."

"Something like that." A bit of weight shifting here and there had him back on his feet, offering a hand down to Arya. "Or I just didn't want to forget how to fall, so I could fall for you."

Cheeks flushed and grinning from ear to ear, she accepted his hand and rose to her full height. "I don't think you could ever forget that." She intertwined their fingers. "Even if you did forgot how to fall."

"Hmm, not with you around." Inching a little closer, he wrapped his free arm around her waist, resting his forehead against hers. "I'm falling more each day."

She was vaguely aware that they could fall if one of them made a sudden movement, but the awareness was quickly pushed to the back of his mind when he rested his forehead against hers. Rubbing her nose with his, her grin softened. "I'm starting to realize that I'm becoming a safety hazard for you."

Chuckling, Sabel returned the nose rub, keeping his arm around her in the hopes that it would stabilize them both. "A very pleasant one I see no need to avoid."

"Nor do I," she agreed. "And I don't see how we can keep you from constantly falling without getting rid of the distraction, so I guess you'll just have to live with your new hazard." She certainly had no plans of being away from him anytime soon.

One of her arms going around his waist she stole a glance at the ice. "Think we can skate this close or should we settle with holding hands?" It certainly was warmer skating this way, though they were bound to fall.

" You will do good, trust me" Rex told Helena. " Nice to meet you Helena. " Rex smiled. " Lucikily I did not fall down or it would have been funny' Rex said to Helena.

" Hi Kyle" Rex told her. "So have you skated long?" Rex asked Kyle.

This might be a horrible idea, thought Viola as ske walked towards the lake. She couldn't skate. At all. She wondered whether she should turn around and walk back to school. She wrapped her cloak tightly around her and sat on a nearby rock, hesitating to put on her skates.

"I surely hope you're right," Helena giggled.

And about the falling... "I tried once, but I didn't have skates then. I fell twice, I think. That's why I'm not so excited to try again."

Helena glanced around. Her mouth twitched into a smile as she saw Viola, sitting alone on a rock. She approached the girl, hoping she wouldn't scare her. Viola didn't look too happy. She was probably just as good at skating as Helena was. Hehe.

"Hey," Helena smiled, then tried to make her way towards Viola. It was kind of hard to walk on the snow covered ground with her skates on. "Are you here to skate?"

Viola wondered whether she really should do this. She'll probably fall a hundred times. She smiled when she saw Helena walk towards her, struggling to walk with her skates on. It was nice to see her again.

Viola stood up. "Hi." she said. "Yeah, although I'm not sure I will. It seems a bit..scary." Viola bit her lip and looked at the frozen lake.

Helena turned her head to take another glimpse at the frozen part of the lake, then smiled again at Viola. "Let's try together," she said, now grinning, probably looking like a fool. "I'm pretty scared as well, but I guess it's going to be fun if we're both going to fall down." Better than making a fool of yourself alone, right?

Viola grinned. Yeah, it would be better of they did this together. And much more fun. "Yeah, lets. It will be much more fun to do it together." she said, as she sat back down on the rock again and removed her skates out of the bag. She started putting them on.

Helena waited for Viola to put on her skates, then made her way through the snow to the ice. "Here we are," she said, suddenly feeling her knees tremble a bit. But hopefully no one would notice. "Ready?" She looked at Viola, her smile slowly fading.

She was definitely not ready.

Alicia grinned. She had never liked the cold weather in the winter, but she loved it when everything became frozen and of course, the white snow. She loved snow for sure. She wandered around the school grounds. "Hmm what should I do now?" She stopped for a while to think. She looked further and found the water in the lake had completely turned into ice. "wow!" She gasped in surprise. She walked closer to the lake and jumped around on it like a mad person. Feeling too excited, she continued jumping around and she slipped on the ice eventually and fell flat on her back. "Ouchh.." She couldn't be bothered to stand up no more.

Viola got up after putting on her skates and she nearly fell. Her knees trembled a lot but she somehow managed to reach the ice. Gosh, she was scared! "Hmm?" She mainly focused on staying her on skates. "Not really but let's go."

"Not really, its just fun, and its the only real winter sport we can do here...besides freezing in quidditch." She sighed, "and we all need a good cheering up after yesterday's game...it was, dangerous to was the least." She smiled over to Rex, "So, how are things going with you and the wedding plans?" She asked, honestly wondering how he was doing.

Randomly, happily she adding a final exclamation. "Guess what I've got my house eight points this year! Better than my usual zero." She laughed.

Helena tried to smile encouragebly, but she surely wasn't ready.

She tried to remember her first skating-without-skates lesson Kurumi taught her. Baby steps. Alright, that's exactly what she tried. She made a tiiiiny step. Another one. She was on the ice now. Simple, huh?

Buuut... she was moving. Sliding. Whatever. "H-how do I stop?" She said, more talking to herself. She couldn't stop. Uhh... Her next move was awkward. The girl tried to make a step, to somehow stop herself from sliding on the ice. But...

...

She fell. "Ouch."

Viola slowly started moving forward, scared that she might fall any second. She sighed with a relief when she reached the ice without any mishap. Just then, she heard Helena say something and before Viola could reply, Helena fell down. Ouch, that seriously must have hurt. In a hurry to help her friend, Viola rushed forward, forgetting that she had her skates on. She could feel everything spinning around her as she fell down on her back.

"Ouch!" Viola groaned.
