Fee just smiled at her boyfriend."Dont worry about it".,she said,"when i first tried i did horrible."The blonbde was sure he would get to it soon and besides they had time.When he suggested to go to the other side, she couldnt help but chuckle.He was so impatient."Just let us practise a little",the Slytherin winked.When it didnt work our the way Hugo wanted Fee giggled slighty.Somehow it was really cute how he didnt figure it out properly."I have an idea",the second year said,"take both of my hands and just follow me."This way he would feel a little safer and they could train better.

Caroline was making a trip down to see the Care of Magical Creatures Professor when something new had caught her eye. It was an ice skating rink. She walked over to take a better look. She was truely in awe as she looked out at the frozen section of the lake. It was awesome. She wished that had her ice skates. She shrugged and took her wand out. She walked over closer to the rink and sat on the benches that others were sitting at changing theirs shoes or just hanging out. She waved her wand across the black flats she had on. The Flats turned into boots and a blade slowing appeared from the bottom of the shoe.

Hugo nodded. Practise was better, yeah. Indeed. He took both Fee's hands and did as she instructed. After holding her hands for a couple of minutes he pushed off from the ice and he started skating like a real pro (after that pro fell from the empire state building, got his legs amputated and went to a really bad doctor who performed bad surgery on him). "Lookzies, Fee. I'm ska-" SMACK. Hugo had lost his balance and fallen to the ground, his face flat on the ground. "I'm okay... I'm okay..." he said and stood up as he wiped a little blood off his nose. "Let's try again."

After finishing her Lutz jump, Demitra turned to see a girl, who appeared to be in the same house as she is, sitting on the benches & performing some pretty creative tricks. She made her way over to where she was & said "Arrghh, I should've thought of that before i ended up wearing my brother's skates." She reached down & grabbed her feet, "Oww." She whined as she sat next to her, attempting to untie the skates.

Caroline smiled at the newcomer. Her brother had taught her that charm. "My brother taught me that" She said with a smile. "I'm Caroline"She said holding out her hand. "Where's your shoes?" She was going to do the same to the young Slytherin's shoes.

Elliott suppressed a grin and nodded. "Yes, of course." Ixnay on the pig thing. Anyway, enough about pigs and on to ice skates. "I got them in that Room of Requirement," he answered, and his eyes lowered to her skates. "I expect they fit properly, yeah?" Because that room always knew stuff like that when you needed it to. It was weird actually, when you thought about it: a room knowing stuff like that.

Whoa! Elliott shuffled back a bit when she shoved him away. He opened his mouth to say something, but his brain couldn't get a strand of words together, so he went with what initially came to his head. "Sorry." He dug the blade of his skate in the ground as he waited for her.

"Then I can only guess we'll be the laughing stock of the lake," Elliott smiled, looking around at all the other students out here. He took a few steps closer to the lake before actually, sloooowwly getting himself on the ice.

Demitra pulled out her shoes out of her knapsack & smiled at the girl "I'm Demitra." She said, shaking the girl's hand. Demitra held up her shoes to show her. "They're right here," She replied.

Caroline looked up. The girls name sounds filmiar. She shrugged in off for a moment. "Demitra, that name sounds filmiar" She took a good look at the girl. She smiled as the girl showed her, her shoes. Caroline ran her wand over the shoes. tThey had done the same as when she had done that to her own. "There you go"she said with a smile.

Arya had planned on getting some homework done. Some soon-to-be-due homework that she had been lazy about getting around to. But the teenage Hufflepuff had heard that the awesome new groundskeeper had turned a good chunk of the lake into ice for them to skate on, so out the window went all plans of getting anything productive accomplished.

After racing back to her common room to ditch her school books and exchange them for her skates, and to tell everyone she could in anyway she could that there was ice skating out on the lake, she ran back out on the grounds, skates in hand and plopped down on the ground to put them on.

It was only a minute before she was laced up and out on the ice, a wide grin on her face as she skated around the other students. This. Was. Awesome.

Iris smiled and shook her head at Satine. No way. She wasn't going on the ice.

Not yet, anyway.

The prefect hovered at the side of the lake, watching all of the students skate around the ice. She might go skate later... but not right now. Ice skating was cute, but she really wasn't in the mood for it.

Fee inhaled soundly when Hugo lost his balance. Oh my god."Hugo!!!",she almost shouted and wanted to go on her knees to helo him up as she was standing again.That boy was crazy. And then she noticed his nose bleeding."Hey wait a second",the blonde whispered and took out a handkerchief.Approaching him she placed a hand on his cheek and smiled at her boyfriend."Let me wipe it away."She so wouldnt let go of his hand again.Nooope,not that he broke is leg or something."Are you ready to try again?",the Slytherin wiggled her eyebrows holidng her hand out for him.

This weather was exactly why Dallin missed Florida. He galred at the icky white stuff on the ground as he walked down to the lake, where he could see people on ice. It was sad, really, that he actually wanted to ice skate. But since there was no way he could swim or anything like that, he was going to enjoy the water in the only way he could. Ice skating.

He sat down on the edge of the ice, thinking. He'd never been ice skating before, but how hard could it be? He was great at roller blading, and it's about the same, right? Plus, he was wearing like, eight layers of clothes - and yes, that was an exaggeration - so he wouldn't get hurt if he fell. He laced up the skates that his mom had sent him and slowly stood up. Okay, he could balance. Now for the movement.

He slowly pushed one foot, and lost his balance. He flailed for a bit before he caught himself. He didn't fall. He moved the other foot and tried again. The same thing happened. He looked at his feet determinedly, and tried again, putting most of his weight on his heels, and leaning forward. YES. He was moving, and not falling.

He was a natural. Now, if only there could be ice without the gross snow.

Gosh, Hugo was going to need to check himself in the hospital wing after this skating session. As Fee put her soft hand on his cheek he put his hand on hers and smiled. "Thank you," he whispered and sniffed. There was no such thing as pain when Fee was with him. "Yesh," he answered and took her hand. This time he was going to take it easy.

Elyon laced up her skates, and sped out onto the ice. Ice skating was just like dancing, but, well it was on ice! She giggled and did some twirls and other fancy tricks. It was one of the only things she was good at other than music and studies. She was so glad she was happy again. She had to be strong, and brave. She had to be herself again. She smiled happily at everyone she passed and waved. Twirling gracefully, she never failed to say hello to anyone she saw. She was so glad to be back to being herself again.

Oh the beauties of winter; The lake was frozen, the air was whistling to you every second, your hair becomes puffy due to the dryness, yet humidity of any water surface around you. In fact, the seventeen year old didn't mind it. She looked like a broom had brushed her hair everyday, anyways. And that's why, ice skating sounded great on these type of days.

But let's face it, Annie had never ice skated before in her life, she had just used her skateboard almost all her life, but never dared to use a pair of skates, even less ice skates. She was in deep trouble, huh?

With a low sigh, she put on that old pair of skates she borrowed from her mom, then stepped into the hard ice, that would let her sway around or give her a deep pain in her butt if she fell down. "Here we go..." She said, gulping for the last time and letting herself go.

Fee couldnt help but smile back at her boyfriend.Once again she didnt know how she deserved someone like him.He was truly amazing. "You're welcome",she nodded.The blonde would always be there for Hugo no matter if it was a bleeding nose or whatever.That must hurt soo bad but he didnt say a thing.Such a brave guy.Heh."Lets start slow this time",she said,"dont want to visit you at the Hospital wing after this."To be honest, the Slytherin would freak out if something happend to him.

Ellie walked down to the lake, excited to go skating on it. Really, she was. She even had a pair of skates. Which, normally people would think was weird or something, but her mom's always all 'you never know when you might need them'.

It took until she reached the edge of the ice, that she remembered that, although she had skates from that time they went on a family vacation, and had enlarged them, she didn't know how to skate.

That was not a fun vacation. Almost not as fun as the New York vacation... She wrinkled her nose at that thought.

The girl looked around for a familiar face. Hopefully, there will be one. She didn't want to look funny by coming to the lake, only to turn around. And that was when she saw Arya. She knew her! Not too, too well, but people didn't have to know that. Nope. "Hey Arya!" Help!

Satine giggled a little bit at Iris as she motioned to stay on the side. She made a little circular motion with her and to let her know that when she got around the circle...which could take who knows how long...she would stop by and say hello!

Satine finally started getting the hang of it. It was always a little hard to get started but it was like a little light flicked on in your brain and then your brain as like ooooo yes I remember now how to do this. She smiled as she started gliding on the ice slowly at first, but she knew eventually she would start going a little bit faster.

She smiled as she skated and watched everyone around her start getting the hang of it. As long as you stayed up and didn't fall you didn't seem to get too cold.

She skated a long a little bit and thought she saw a familiar face she slowed down a little bit....not like she was going mega fast or anything...and she headed towards the Dallin. But as she decided to stop she remembered that she wasn't very good at stopping and before she knew it she was sitting on her butt about three feet from Dallin.

Through her laughter, she said, "Hey there cutey patootie!" she said looking up at him.

Lazily, and skillfully she weaved through the few students that had made it out on the ice. She didn't know HOW anyone could still be on the shore when there was a HUGE chunk of ice just BEGGING to be skated on. It occurred to her that some of them might not know how to skate, but if they wanted help, they would ask for it right? Right.

It was the sound of her name being called that stopped her twirling and had her eyes dancing to the shore and landing on a familiar face. "Hey, Ellie!" She didn't know the girl well enough, but that didn't really matter as she always enjoyed hanging with new or semi-new faces.

A grin spread across her face, she skated over to the shore, coming to a slow stop in front of the girl. "You coming out on the ice?" Or was she going to join the others people watching. She had skates with her, but that didn't mean she was actually going to do any skating. Her eyes flicked to the other sitting with skates.

Isobel walked down to the lake with her coat on. She was cold, but she wanted to walk around the grounds. When she saw a clump of people Isobel curiously walked over. They weren't all together; she wondered what was going on. Isobel discovered that part of the lake had been frozen, and people were ice skating on it. Cool! Isobel promptly sat down on the snow and just sat. She wished she could go skating but she had two problems. One; she didn't have any skate. And two; she didn't know how to skate.

Nika walked down to the lake looking for something to do. Her eyes lit up when she saw the lake has been partially frozen over. Nika has never been ice skating before and the idea fascinated her. Nika had always thought of ice skating as a challenging sport. But being a true Gryffindor she wanted to face a the challenge at hand. The only problem? No skates. Nika stood and watched everyone as they skated by. Now where did they get skates? As she watched she saw a familiar face. It was Elyon! The first person she had talked to at Hogwarts. She waved at Eylon and smiled. Looks like she had skated before and had experience something that Nika will in no doubt be lacking.

YES. An ice skating rink on the lake… YES! This was a dream come true for goofy Braeden, who looked like he might just burst into tears of joy any second. But ice skating was one of his all-time favourite things, and one of the few he was at least slightly decent at. He still fell and broke his bones every now and then, but at least not as often as he broke his nose while playing football. This was going to be great.

Braeden took a moment to pull off his shoes and pull on his ice skates near the edge of the frozen lake. Er… where would he leave his shoes? He supposed he could just leave them there on the ground. No one was going to steal them. … Right? Oh Merlin, what if there was a shoe-stealing gnome or something going around Hogwarts stealing Gryffindor boys' shoes? Braeden thought about this for a moment but dismissed the thought. Nahh. His shoes would be fine out here. Hopefully. He was too excited to think too much about it anyway, and just a second later he was entering the rink.

Oh, yeah. He hadn't ice-skated since the year before, during the winter break, and he hadn't even realized how much he'd missed this until he was back on the ice now. It was… wonderful! Sort of like floating. The ice was just so nice and smooth and-- GAH!
He almost slipped. Almost. The boy had been quick and close enough to hold on to the boards around the outer edge of the ice and avoided what would've been a painful fall that would leave him at the hospital wing. Alright, maybe he needed to brush up his ice-skating skills a little bit more before he could fully enjoy this...

Ellie watched Arya skate up to her. And stop! That was Ellie's problem. Stopping. But Arya did it! And did it well!

Jealous.

"I'd like to..." she said, smiling back. "I'm just... I'm not very good. I've only tried once." And at that time, there were cushioning charms, and she'd clung to her mother's hand for dear life. So, yeah, she was pathetic.

Fallon wandered down to the make shift ice skating rink, holding her skates that she'd hardly used. Her dad had bought them for her and they tried going last winter and it didn't end to well. Fallon kept falling, but she wasn't going to give up.

She sat down near the edge and pulled on her skates. The last time she'd bruised up her knee pretty badly, but it wasn't discouraging. As she tied the last of the laces, she looked out over the ice at all of the happy people. Fallon then looked back down at her skate-clad feet. She hoped that she would be able to pull herself up.

Simon wandered down to the make shift ice skating rink, holding his skates he hardly used. Simon didn't really want to try at ice-skating, surely ice skating was hard and surely you should have a professional trainer to help you before you tried this.

Simon then saw Fallon, well at least he would have someone he knew to help him if he needed it. "Fallon." Simon smiled as he sat down next to her and put his ice skates on. "Can I skate with you?" Simon hoped she would say yes, and then he realised something, how was he suppost to get up now.
