" You are completely right about Potions and the charms teacher" Rex told Anna. " Professor Lafay really does not like show-offs in her class but she appreciates honesst hard working students" Rex said to Anna." Well, if I can pick up ice-skating, you can pick up dancing" Rex explained to Anna. " Remember, there is a good dance teacher who is about to graduate from HogWarts" Rex laughed. " Well if it is the rubber that got stuck in your hair, then the boys are completely wrong" Rex smiled." Blunt, you are not really blunt, just more like honest" Rex told her. "Any boys that can't handle you are completely crazy and do not understand a good looking girl who speaks her mind " Rex explained to her.

"Show-offs are annoying. I might never pick up dancing, but Maybe with a good teacher. BUT I tend to fall a lot, even standing still I will fall." Anna smiled at this. She was notorious for it. "And you will have to tell everyone else that they are crazy and that I am just honest. And good luck with that one because people are convinced I am CRAZY. Well some of them. And thanks for the complement. You aren't so bad yourself." She said. That was the thing about Rex. He was good at everything. Even looking. But he held a conversation better than most.

" Well, I bet you would be good at annoying show-offs" Rex laughed." Well, I bet you if I taught you to dance, not ony would you never fall, you would be one of the best dancers at the dance that they are having at HogWarts being given by the prefects" Rex explained to Anna. " I think everyone is wrong, you are not crazy" Rex said to Anna. " you are welcome for the compliment" Rex smiled. Do you play any sports?" Rex asked Anna.

Derian had to smile at her enthusiasm, "As I hear it, Divinations is enough to drive anyone raving mad. So, a little bit of mischief is great--considering the alternative of insanity." He chuckled, "But huff puff! I am eager for you to start my head spinning in earnest!" Making sure of her stability, he took her hand in his and began a slow, ambling glide across the ice.

He felt lighter in her presence, and certainly happy to see her.

Ellie attempted to hid her smirk of success when Alex finally gave in. Yes! They were going to skaaaate! "Don't sound so excited." Said sarcastically with a grin. Oh but don't you worry, SS readers. Ellie would make sure that Alex had a good time ice skating.

Feeling Alex's death grip on her arm, Ellie assumed he wasn't going to want to turn around, so she decided to skate backwards in order for Alex to skate forward... If that makes sense. She was about to take a skate backwards when he asked, "Promise you won't give up on me?" That made her stop. She looked up into his eyes. Something about his question made her feel like he meant more than just ice skating. More than just friendship... "I will never give up on you." She said softly, reassuringly. And she meant it.

Ice skating.. right..

Merlin, why had he come here again? To hone his ice skating skills? HECK NO. He was almost as afraid of ice skating as he was afraid of statues. They came PRETTEH close. They were both absolutely terrifying for him. But of course, he had forgotten that there was a rink on the grounds and well.. He came to see what everyone was doing. And well, yeahhh.. that's how he got here.

He eyed the ice apprehensively from about 10 feet away and glared at it. Almost willing it to melt away. But of course, he'd have no such luck.

The boy continued staring at it, unable to move his eyes away for fear that it might melt, the water will slither over to him, and cover him, then become ice again and he'd be TRAPPED FOREVERRR.

She chuckles. "Yeah, well for some reason I've been feeling a little 'weird' since that class." She grabbed his hand as she began gliding around the ice with him. He sure knew how to make her feel better when she was not herself. Thank god she had someone like Derian. "Oh, first. I am so happy you made the Quidditch team! Selina told me and I was really happy for you." she said giving him a smile. "Ok, so anyways, I got caught in the restricted section after hours in the library with Selina and Violet. Selina was going to tell me something, but we got caught, but luckily I got away with only losing 5 points." She huffed. "Then...flying class. Oh, how much I hate Professor Vindictus!! He's a real jerk. He basically called me and Violet out so much that I actually lost my temper. I never do, but for some reason I was just so enraged that I actually was talking back at him and I lost 15 more points. I can't believe I lost 20 points in one day. The Slytherin Prefect gave me a look like he wanted my head on a platter."

She lost her train of thought for a moment stumbling a little bit and gripped tighter on his hand so she wouldn't fall and she regained her stepping and continued skating with Derian. "So then the next few days...something...started happening. I really don't know how to xplain it, but all I can say is that Selina was acting...different, and apparently so was I." She really didn't know if telling Derian would make him think she is crazy so she just kinda...beat around the subject.

"That's a bet then. And as for sports...I can barely walk. Running is asking to DIE!" She said. She was clumsy enough. She often fall over when she was standing still. It's funny when it happens. "I didn't know a dance was being planned. Since when was a dance being planned. When is this fabled dance?" She asked maybe a bit to fast.

Ronnie had never been ice skating before. She didn't even know how, and she was scared that she was going to break a limb or have a seizure right there on the ice. Thank goodness she had not had an episode yet this term and she was going to continue praying that she didn't have one.

She put on her ice skates and laced them up....and was to scared to actually go any where!!

" You are just the type of girl that some will like/love and some will hate, some scared and some not so scared of you" Rex told Anna." I am a person who likes you" Rex said to Anna. " Ice-skating is a type of sports and you are not clumsy on the ice" Rex explained to Anna. Actually, right now there is a high tea and not a dance" Rex sighed. " There is some rides, you have to be in a costume from England from any year" Rex smiled.

" Do not be scared" Rex told the girl. " I was pretty sure I did not know anything about ice skating, but I was told Stand up and handle it like you did since you are a dancer" Rex explained to the girl. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to her.

Ronnie looked up when she heard some one talking to her, a boy, he looked older than her, but then again she was a really bad judge of age. "I'm not very good at dancing either." Ronnie told him, but stood up anway, "I'm going to all and break something! I just know!" She said really wobbly leged moving out on to the ice. She wished that Simon was here with her. "I'm Ronnie, by the way"

"Wow, that's awesome!" Ava Jade remarked. "So you're an opera singer? I've gotta make a mental note never to sing in front of you then..." She laughed. It wasn't that she couldn't sing -- she didn't have a bad sense of pitch -- only she'd never been trained. She didn't spend much time singing either, which meant that her voice wasn't very strong and her range wasn't anything spectacular since she was usually out-of-practice.

Hearing Emmy's question, Ava Jade replied, "I think the coolest thing is being around so many witches and wizards! The students, the professors... there's so many opportunities to make friends as well as learn a lot. It's really cool, I think. But of course, there's also the amazing castle to explore, the beautiful scenery... Yeah, it's pretty much all great!" She grinned. "What about you?"

Caroline nodded "Yea, but mostly just with my brother and sometimes my sister" it was mostly her brother that is who she usually plays with. Her sister to much of a brat to play quidditch. She lead Ava Jade to the edge of the lake. "Do you play?or have siblings? she turned around asking her the questions.

" Well, you could be good at dancing, trust me" Rex told Ronnie. " You will not break anything, so not be over careful" Rex said to Ronnie." glad to meet you Ronnie" Rex smiled.

Hearing that there was ice skating on the ground Meredith immediately headed towards the lake. She was super excited! She had never ice skated before, she heard it was a muggle thing. She didn't really think her parents would approve of doing something that muggles do, but she didn't care what they thought, it looked like fun! She smiled as she saw it. She sat down and put on skates that she borrowed

Adam stumbled into the ice skating rink.
He wasn't quite sure why he was doing it, he had horrible balance, and when he had done it with Kurumi last year, he had landed on top of her.

"Oh hey, Meredith. Wanna skate with me? You may have to hold my hand...I'm not good with the whole balance act."

After getting on her skates Meredith stood up, getting a tad nervous now thinking about it. "Oh hi Adam!" Meredith gave her usual friendly smile. "Sure! Okay that will be fine cause honestly i have never skated before in my life!" Meredith said. Meredith hoped Adam was just saying that, or it probably wouldn't to well if they both stunk...."Um, have you ever skated before?" Meredith asked, hoping he would say yes

"Yes....But I feel ontop of Kurumi.`"He said shortly.

He wasn't ;ying he was horrible at skating.

"Greeeat" Meredith said. Then she suddenly burst into laughter, she could imagine her and adam falling standing up for two seconds then falling over again the entire time.

"Ice-skating doesn't count. I'll come up for a reason later. Rides sound fun but I have no idea what I would do costume wise." She was bad at costumes. There was something she might be able to do from Dr. Who (An old show that was on in the 2000s. But otherwise she was stumped.

" Long time, no see young lady" Rex told Meredith. " You look like you really know how to ice-skate" Rex said to Meredith. " I have been missing my dance partner" Rex explained to Meredith.

" So Ice-Sakting does not count as a sport?" Rex asked Anna. " Better not let all the Olympian skaters who won medals here you say that about their sport" Rex laughed." Well, you could come as one of the Queens of England, maybe you could come as Elton John or one of the Beatles or someone from DR, WHo if not Dr, Who himself" Rex explained to Anna. " I am either going as "the Knight of Gryffondor" from our " Royal Family Of HogWarts" or Robin Hood" Rex smiled.

"Okay, I trust you" Ronnie smiled and took her first skate onto the ice. She glided something across one foot after the other just like a ballerina. "Rex! Look I'm doing it!" She shouted back to him and she turned the corner and feel right over ontio her butt. "Ouch...okay, well at least I thought I was doing it!" She said and she rubbed her backside. "I think I'm going to be bruised." She said laughing!

" I knew you could ice skate" Rex told Ronnie. " Oh, no, are you ok?" Rex asked Ronnie." Get back up, you can ice skate and I can also teach you to dance" Rex explained to Ronnie..

"Dancing might hurt less!" Ronnie said laughing getting back on to her wobbly legs. "Thanks for teaching me." Ronnie told him about ice skating. She never thought she'd be able to do this! It was always too scary for her. She really wished she had Simon to share this day with. She missed him.

" I won ballroom dance contests so I might be a good teacher" Rex told Ronnie." Well, I did not teach you to ice skate, you did it on your own" Rex said to Ronnie. " You look like you are waiting for someone to meet here" Rex explained to Ronnie. "Am I right?" Rex asked her.
