"That sounds good," Ava Jade replied, rubbing her hands together to create some friction to warm them. "It's freezing!" She breathed her hot breath on them as they skated around the rink, the breeze teasing their hair. Though the wind wasn't too rough, the icy chill of the air was plenty enough to make Ava Jade's teeth chatter. To get her mind off of the cold -- and to keep her jaw from freezing, of course -- she asked Caroline, "So you play Quidditch then?"

Ava Jade burst out laughing at Emmy's attempt to skate backwards. She wanted to try now, but since she'd probably just end up on her backside...she thought she'd better be safe and not try.

But when had she ever played it safe?

Still laughing, she attempted to turn herself around and keep her fluid pace, only backwards. And, of course...within seconds of semi-successful motion, she squealed and slipped right onto her bottom. "Well, that was a fail..." She giggled at herself as she pushed herself back up on her skates.

Emmy covered her mouth, trying not to giggle as Ava Jade fellin slow motion onto her bottom.
"Oops! You all right? Maybe we'd better just go forwards!"
She held out a hand, but the girl was already up, and ready to set off again.

Moving backwards slightly with tentative steps, Jeremy tried to figure out whether he was still able to do this. He had been quite good at this once, really good actually but he hadn't done it since moving to Los Angeles. Los Angeles wasn't exactly too popular for going ice skating after all. It seemed to work though. Yes, it did. Phew.

While he had put his gloves back on, Kimber had joined him on the ice, leaving Chad standing a few meters away. Wasn't he going to ice skate too? All thoughts of Chad went poof immediately however, when Kimber took his hand, pressing herself against his side. "Good, now watch out for...the dangerous kids." He teased with a grin before starting to move forward on the ice without another backward glance.

"Ah Transfiguration. I tried a spell from hat class recently. I failed miserably." I said laughing. "The eraser exploded all over me. What class did you do best in?" She asked now skating in nice loops.

" Oh, I am sorry your spell did not work" Rex told Anna." I guess you looked like a mess" Rex laughed a little. " My best classes are Potions, Charms and Muggle Studies" Rex said to Anna. "Where did you learn to ice skate?" Rex asked Anna. " I asked you to Renes' and my wedding, right?" Rex asked Anna.

"Yeah, I'm okay," Ava Jade said, still giggling from her fall. Why she had laughed she really didn't know, but for some reason she always did when she fell. Maybe she was just giddy. As she began to skate again with Emmy, she shivered in the cold, then blurted, "I wish ice skating and warm weather could coexist. That would be a dream come true." Realizing how random this probably sounded to her friend, she burst out laughing again and said, "There's my random thought of the day!"

Chad got back onto the ice and skated around a couple times, watching the students and make sure they were all still okay. "Does anyone need help?" Perhaps this would help him get to know more of the students. Find out things they wanted or liked so that he could incorporate it next term.

Emmy burst out laughing - she couldn't help it! Ice skating and warm weather?! Ludicrous!
Although...
"I can see the appeal of that, actually! But yes, very random!" She skated on for a while, then asked, "So, um, whereabouts d'you live? Are your parents magical?"
How she wished hers were...

"Oh I did. Ever tried getting rubber out of hair? I like potions is fun. And yes you did ask me. I went with my mother ice skating once in a town by our small dinky one. I was never good. I am however getting hang of it!" This however was a jinx and she plopped down on her rump. She did recover soon however. "Maybe."

" No, I can't say I ever tried to get rubber out of my hair" Rex told Anna." Potions is a cool class" Rex said to Anna. "Are you like everyone else but me that you do not like Profeesor Lafay or as she is commonly know around Hogwarts, "The Dragon Lady"? Rex asked Anna, "Well you are good at ice skating now" Rex smiled. " I must have jinxed you" Rex laughed. "So any boys for you?" Rex asked Anna.
"Well in case I forgot to ask you, I would appreciate you coming to my wedding" Rex explained to Anna.

Elektra had to go back to the lake. She just had to. Something led her there. I mean yeah there was a sheet of ice covering the lake now, but it's not going to hurt her to go have some fun ice skating right? She has been missing Derian like crazy. With everythinhg that has been going on since classes started, him making the Quidditch team, and let's not fogrget her current streak of getting into trouble. Why? She had no idea. She realized that ever since her first Divination class things have not been the same for her. And now to make things worse something from her past has come back and it's starting to haunt her. She hasn't really spoken to anyone about because she felt that maybe she was just getting to stressed out by her classes and other things...but then again she could be wrong.

She slipped her ice skates on and twisted her feet around getting comfortable in her skates as she carefully steps onto the ice. She zips her jacket up a little bit and she stepped onto the ice and stumbled at first trying to get used to the ice. She laughed at herself and she fixed her hair out of her face and looked over seeing a familliar face that she had wished to see in such a long time. She smiled and shouted. "Derian!!" She lifted her armwaving to him. God it was so good to see him again.

Ava Jade skated along with her, for once quiet as she enjoyed the flow and rhythm of ice skating. When Emmy finally spoke, Ava Jade answered her question with, "London. I'm from London. My parents are both magical." She hesitated before adding, "My family has been pureblood since before we can trace. It's pretty rare, I guess." She shrugged. "I think it'd be awesome to have a Muggle parent though. You know, best of both worlds." She tried not to make a big deal about her pureblood roots because, honestly, she wanted to avoid the stereotypes that seemed to accompany being from an all-magic family. She had nothing against Muggles -- she just knew next to nothing about them. Smiling at her friend, Ava Jade turned the conversation back to her and asked, "What about you?"

Oh... Really?

The Mexicana suddenly decided to stand still while she contemplated the idea of someone else putting her skates on her own feet. Well, they are just like putting on an ordinary pair of fine sturdy high boots. Right? Unless you have an accident and-

"Allright." Maya swallowed and slowly made her way to the bench, being careful not to slip on any patch of ice that may be lurking around like a pogrebin. She sat down...and now for the shoe sizes. Heh. "Uh...I'm a size six." Right? Wait, did she convert that wrong? Why couldn't all the countries have the same sizes?

"What shoe size are you?" Pfffffffffffffft.

"First Year, Slytherin." She answered as she rummaged through her purse searching for equipment. "What's your shoe size, Isobel?" Completely distracted with her bag.

Derian whirled around, sending a small spray of ice shooting around his legs in a small arch. As soon as he spotted Elektra, he grinned and waved back. Without delay, he skated towards her and stabilized her on the ice, "Elektra! How are you? Cripes! It has been SUCH a long time since I have seen your creamy, and oh-so-dreamy self!" Seeing her now, in person, made him realize just how much he had missed her during the long hours he was kept busy.

His smile grew in proportion to the sudden and rapid improvement in his mood. "Come, we've gotta catch up. I've heard rumors that you have been somewhat of a troublemaker lately..." He smirked impishly at her, "You must tell me all of the naughty things you did, and how much fun they all were."

Chad picked out a pair of size six skates from the pile and then knelt down in front of Maya. "I am size twelve, Mademoiselle," he answered, working on loosening up the skates so that he could put them on. "Can you remove your shoe, please?"

Elektra laughed out of excited as she stumbled again and she grabbed onto him seeing he was helping her out and she chuckles. She couldn't stop smiling whenever she was around him. It felt like it had been so long since they last saw each other. "Bloody hell it's been so long!" Oh they had so much to catch up on. It was funny how much happened to her in the time they hadn't seen each other. She nodded her head in agreement and then gave a nervous chuckle. "Oh, trust me...the things that I went through would make your head spin." She smirked back at him. "And can you believe all of this madness happened after my first Divination class?"

Well, that question had been slightly odd...but it was nice of him to answer, si? Or something.

This was odd. Why was she feeling so odd? Because this was a most unusual situation.


Remove the shoe?
Oh, right, that's what she'd forgotten to do. Heh.
"Yes. Ofcourse." Heeeeeeeeeeeh. Kicking them off would work too, right? Her red knitted socked-feet wriggled in the cold and...she really hoped those thin metal slices would help her stand up properly.

So... "How long have you been skating, señor?" He can pull the 'mademoiselle', she can atleast do the 'señor' part. Hehe.

"Well, I'm from London too - only we had to move up north because of Dad's work. My parents are both Muggles; Dad's a bank manager -boring!- and Mum's a professional opera singer, and she's training me!" Emmy grinned, thinking of all her singing lessons, and the times she and her father went to the theatre!
"So what d'you enjoy most about Hogwarts?" Emmy grinned at her friend.

Alex lie on the cold ice and turned his head to the side. "Do you hate me now?" he chuckled. How was it that he had no balance on the ice but he could sit on a stick in the air? Madly confusing.

She would protect him from Sel? Success! He grinned at her and shook her hand that she held out for him. "Then I'd love to come." he smiled.

He didn't want to skate, it hurt because he fell down all the time. And whenever he wasn't falling, he was already lying down... He looked up at her, saw those puppy eyes and caved. Seriously, wasn't there a spell or something that he could use so his friends wouldn't win him over with a stupid set of eyes?! He sighed and threw up his arms in the air as a sign of surrender. "Fine!" he exclaimed trying his best to get up but failed.

"Step one; How to stand up?" he murmured to himself.

Alex hung on Ellie's arm looking down at the ice for a second with only one eye opened. He opened them both wide when he realized he hadn't landed on the ice. Ellie had saved him! Or he had attacked her and forced her to hold him, whatever worked for him.

"Why hello." he grinned back and dared to let go with one hand to wave at her. Not that wave with the whole hand but that wave that old ladies did in the muggle movies, with just the fingers you know? He made it look extremely cool. He hoped.

He straightened up and could actually stand without falling, sure he held on to Ellie for the love of all that is magic but still. He stood. "Do I have to move around? Isn't this enough?" he asked her hopeful.

Emma chuckled as he asked her that question. She would never hate him. Turning her head to the side to see his face, "Hmmmm..... That's a tough question." she added, teasingly. She shook her head. "I don't hate you. I'd never hate you, Alexbear.... unless you did something terrible." she said, smiling at him, meaning it with all her heart. She loved him.

She smiled and cried out in joy. "Yipee! Oh Alex your the best!" she exclaimed, almost feeling like she could kiss him for how happy she was. Woot! They'd skate again. Yay! Emma put her hands on the ground and pushed herself up. She cocked her head to the side. Ohh.. "Here take my hand." she exclaimed and held her hand out to him, she could pull him up.. He didn't way too much.. right?

Ellie watched as Alex clung onto her arm for dear life. He looked like a scared puppy. She laughed. Not at him. Well, not neccessarily with him either, because he wasn't lauging. There, she was laughing at the situation. "I got you, Alex." She said with a grin, making her hold on him more stable so he wouldn't fall on the ice.

She laughed at his finger wave as he dangled off her arms below her as if he couldn't be any cuter. Because y'know, he probably couldn't be any cuter than that.

And then, and theenn... He was standing! Jump for joy!

Ellie frowned. "You really don't want to move around? We can go slow... I'll even hold onto you tight, so you don't fall." She suggested. Or if he did fall, at least Ellie'd go with her. "But if you really don't want to we can just stand here... Holding each other." She said with a slight snort. The were just standing there, on the middle of the ice holding each other. Hmm, not bad...

"Potions is a cool class. And maybe people don't like her because she is strict and knows that her class can be dangerous. And I've found people are most often angered when they cant show off or that get embarrassed." She said. She debated going into psychology for this reason. She liked studying people. "I guess skating is one of those things I just pick up. Unlike dancing and like winterguard. As for boys that's not something that just comes to me. Maybe its the rubber that got stuck in my hair but they seem to not like me. Maybe its because I'm to blunt?" She shrugged. To blunt or not. She wasn't going to change.

Alex laughed and shook his head. "Unless I do something terrible, huh? That's mindly frightening." he grinned.

He smirked and rolled his eyes when she cheered. "Tell me something I don't know." he murmured teasingly. Like, he knew he was the best. Not at skating no he sucked at that but you know, he surely was the best at being Alex Reed. No one could beat him in that. Looking back and forth between her held out hand and up to meet her eyes he chuckled.

"I'll just pull you down again."

Instead he crawled, or dragged himself or slithered away whatever you like to call it to the side of the rink. There he could pull himself up and he stood there grinning at Emma. "I'm up again. But you're way over there!" he said watching a pair of firsties swoosh by him. Heeey! They almost made him fall over, show offs.

Alex watched her sideways, she definitely didn't want to just stand there, pretty obvious by her little snort. He fingered nervously on his jacket before sighing. "Fine!" he said. No matter how much he had wanted just to stand there with Ellie, comment on the people showing off around them he needed to learn how to skate sometimes. And seeing as how Ellie tended to be better in everything, who better to teach him? "I'll have to move sometime I can't stand here forever. I'd starve." he winked as he straightened up. He was extreeeeemely cautious of not letting go of her arm though. He wanted every body contact he could get with that girl. And you know, if he let go he would fall down again...

"Promise you won't give up on me?" he asked. Was he asking skate wise or friend wise or boyfriend wise? All of them.

Emma nodded and poked him. She gave him a bright smile and stayed on the ground for a few more minutes. She gave him a wink. "Yes, but I'll always love you partner. No matter what. Hey, do you know what you want to do with your life? I know its kind of early and all..." she asked.

She smirked her famous Malfoy smirk when he teased her. "Ha." was all she said before laughing. The blonde laughed as his eyes met her brown ones. She shrugged. "Quite, true. I forgot about that." she said, poking her tongue out for his comment. Ah, such a smart Alec Alex.

A bemused smile came crawling onto her lips right before another smirk did. He was crawling to the safe side? Oh dear, Alexander Reed. She applauded him. "Yay! Goooo Alex!" she chirped, throwing her hands up in the hair. Woot! Good job! She quickly put her hands down. "I'm so not a cheerleader.." she added, chuckling. Oh dear, here came the overconfident firsties. Emma glided over to him and smiled. "So you ready to try again?" she asked.
