" I like your name" Rex told Skyler. " Ok, well I could call you Jessie or Jessica" Rex said to Skyler. " Practice makes perfect" Rex explained to Skyler.

Caroline laughed with her family and as big as the extented part of it was. It was quite possible that it was the something like that. She nodded in agreement and followed her to the center of the rink lake. She saw a grin go across her face. The same grin that went across her own, Ava Jade must have just throught of something mischievous. The next thing Caroline knew was a race and Ava Jade was at least two seconds head start. She took off after her and caught up with her soon. She was sure that she'd never skated so fast in her life. They got closer to the egde of the lake and BAMM Caroline fell right on her bottom someone had ran into her.

"I shall be there! Or try to." Anna smiled at Rex. "I shall meet this girl! Especially is the great Rex says it shall be good!" Anna declared in a goofy manner. "So, Other than the impending marriage whats up?"

Emma started grinning madly at his progress. Yay! Finally. He was getting it- he'd be in a pro in no time.

The blonde turned around and then something pulled at her coat. "Woah.. Woah.." she exclaimed, wobbling a bit and almost falling over. She looked at Alex and laughed a bit. It wasn't really going well, but it would go better soon."It's okay," she said, grabbing his hand firmly and giving a squeeze.

She giggled and nodded. "Don't worry Alexbear. I'll save you from her." she added, ruffling his hair lovingly. Hehehe... Blush..



Emma smiled happily. Yay! She nodded. Ice skating alone wouldn't have been fun AT ALL. The blonde was happy-no- overjoyed to see her little blonde Slytherin sister. She loved Fee like her own sister, even though they were not related at all. She nodded and giggled. "He does." she said, pointing to Alex, who was clinging to her coat. "Yes I think we have to. It's out job. I think we should get paid for it."

" I am happy you want to meet Rene" Rex told Anna. " Now you are embarassing me, calling me the gret Rex" Rex said to Anna." Well, I wanted to fo good in my homework and classes but one professor did not give me enough points, so I am thinking of just having fun the rest of the term" Rex explained to Anna. " I have been at the lake, but no one noticed me,so I just decided to do some laps" Rex sighed.

When Kimber went to sit on a nearby rock, he simply watched her for a moment, a small smirk-like grin playing around his lips. "Exactly. Besides, I won't let that happen." Though, it WOULD be interesting to see what she would do if it were to happen. Heh. No, of course, that was no reason.

That smile still on his lips, Jeremy crouched down to change his shoes too, taking off his gloves to be able to tie his laces properly. Looking up when Kimber spoke up again he was just about to reply, when...

...he was interrupted by somebody approaching them. Chad. How lovely.

"Yeah...what he said." Jeremy nodded up into the other man's direction, with a small smile, his eyebrows slightly raised. While he finished tying his laces, his eyes on his skates, he tried to ignore the conversation going on between the other two. Oh, wasn't it just awesome they had made it.

Getting up from his crouch with his gloves in his hands, it was only then that he let his gaze rest on Chad. "Good to see you, Chad." Right. Well, he WAS nice. Probably. After a short pause Jeremy took a few steps towards the frozen lake until he was finally standing on the ice. "You ready?" He asked, turning back around, holding his hand out for Kimber to take so they could do what they had come for. Chad could come along, or not. Whatever.

UFF!

Alex rolled on to the ice with a glare and a pout. Oh man, oh man, oh man! His plan on Hyun carrying him hadn't worked out. Now what would he do?! Lying on his back he crossed his arms across his chest and watched Hyun's failed attempt at standing up.

"Hehe, you failed." he snickered and pointed a finger at Hyun when he was back down on the ice again where he belonged, mwaha



He watched the girl of his dreams skate around in circles around them. What was she doing? Trying to make him dizzy? Well, that wasn't very nice of her.

"Yeah I don't do crying." he mumbled as a reply to her little comment. Pfft, like he would cry about anything. If and that is IF he would cry about anything it was either 1. Chocolate would disappear for all eternity. 2. Slytherin got last place in the Quidditch tournament or 3. ... Um... Yeah that was it.

Seeing Ellie get all worried about Hyun he just snorted with suppressed laughter. "Pfft, he'll be fine." It's meee you should be worrying about.

Alex looked around him to find any possible way for him to stand up but found.. Nothing. Ugh. He would freeze to death on the ice. Actually, that would be the third reason for him to cry. He didn't want to freeze to death!

Propping one skate up on the ice he grinned triumphantly. He looked so cool with one leg standing like that, but no matter how much he loved it, he couldn't stay like that forever. With a huge effort and a grimace he managed to stand.

He was standing! Ladies and gentlemen and Hyun... he was standing, he was standing!

"Look Ellie, I'm standing, I'm-" whoa, he wasn't so steady, he couldn't do a dance of joy and he was kind of, no not kind of, he was really falling. Towards Ellie. "Falling, I'm falling!" he shouted, he had time to flail his arms once before he grabbed onto Ellie's arm. There he hung.

Aaand hung.

He looked up at her careful not to move another muscle. "Um.. Hi." he smiled.



Alex just rolled his eyes with a grin. "Pfft, I don't hurt people." he reminded her. And certainly not his Feeflower, no she had it all wrong. He only hurt people who hurt her, uh-huh that's right. You better watch it.

Pouting a little he looked down at her guilt shown in his face. "Um... Pudding later?" he tried with an angelic smile. Now, smile bestie smile. That's kind of an order.

She told him she loved him? Ah, perhaps he would tackle her like that more often. He chuckled and shook his head again. "Now that is a weird thing to say seeing how I almost killed you." he laughed. Weird best friend he had, he liked it. "But I love you too my little tackle victim."



Yeah... Alex eyes the ice below them, he wasn't sure about a lot of things. Like why Emma blushed recently or why Slytherin had lost against a bunch of badgers but he did know one thing; they would fall.

Wobbling a bit he felt his skates lose contact with the ice. [i]Ahh, not again![/s] still held a firm grip on Emma's hand when his back hit the ice.

Like... Ouch.

"I don't think that was okay." he murmured rubbing his back and looked to his side where Emma must have landed. "Whoops?" he laughed. How did they end up on the ice? Stupid, cold, slippery, white... Ice-thingy.

Alex grinned when Emma ruffled his hair, not that it made any difference to his already messy hair but still. "You promise you'll protect me from Sel?" he laughed and ruffled her hair back. He was The Hair Ruffler after all.

"Thank you, filho," Eirian said, smiling softly as tears sprung to her eyes. They were happy tears, even in light of what she knew she was giving up. The chance to leave, the chance to date, the chance to live like people expected her to here. But it'd all be okay... Because she was gaining a future with Thiago. Before, he wasn't a sure thing; so much could change, and her father's death had proved that. Thi wasn't a flight risk - no, never. But the world... The world was a flight risk. It could leave Eirian with nothing any second, and at least now she would have one thing: a husband, bound to her side by the law. There was no way Thiago could be taken from her. "It is necessary... I do not like the thought of being married so young, but so much in my life has proved to me that things change. If Thi is legally mine, the world cannot take him from me! My tie on Jayce, though, is about to expire... I will no longer be his sibling in the eyes of the law after February 13th."

Cass smiled sadly, cupping her face. "I understand, I really do. Thiago is a wonderful man." He sighed. "But,Jayce, he...Legally is one thing but......what about emotionally? Feelings like the ones between you two don't die just because the calendar says so......" He frowned.

"Why would you smell like fish?" she asked "The teacher becomes the teacher for once." she smiled and skated over to him. "Skating for me is like dancing. I get lost in it sometimes." she leaned in and kissed him back. Keeping her arms around him as they skated on the ice together. "So the term is lamost half way done. Are you excited?"

And her last thought was.. absolutely wrong. One minute she was up skating happily and the next... WHAM! Her back was on the hard ice.. Ouch.. She grimaced for a second, before sitting up and laughing. Rubbing her blonde head, Emma smiled and laughed. Oh Alexbear. He had just managed to pull both of them onto the ground. She smirked and nodded. "Ahh, a big whoops indeed." she exclaimed and sat on the cold ice.

Then Alex was asking her to promise to save him from Sel. Then he messed up her hair. WHAT? Emma gave him a little pout for a second. Meh! He did it again! Fixing up her hair, she tried to look at the ice. Maybe the ice would show how her hair looked. It didn't work.. The blonde shrugged slightly. Hopefully it didn't look bad. She giggled and smirked her famous Malfoy smirk. "Welll... I don't know, partner" she began, pausing and grinning widely at Alex. Should she? Emma smiled and put a more serious face, holding her hand out to him. "I promise. I promise with all my heart." Emma exclaimed.

"Do you want to try to skate again? Please?" she added, almost begging him. Puppy eyes.

" I would not smell like fish. I just would have looked funny" Rex told Rene." You are a great teacher" Rex said to Rene. " Yes, I am excited about the term being half over" Rex smiled."Do you know the reason I will love the end of the term?" Rex asked Rene. Rex kissed her and held her hand while they both skated together.

Eirian smiled as Cass's hands surrounded her face, closing her eyes as the warmth of them warmed her cheeks flushed by the cold weather. "Thiago is perfect," she corrected, her voice soft as she praised her love. "Sometimes the law is what keeps people together or tears them apart... I would rather have it on paper and on my side." After being abandoned, passed around like damaged goods... She needed to have people bound to her in such a way. That was what saved her when Jayce's mom decided to help.

"I have one idea why you would be happy because your marrying the most wonderful girl in the world after this term." she smiled as they skated around the ice.

Ellie snorted slighty, still skating around them. Riiight, Mr. Alex-All-Mighty would never cry, nuh-uh. She smiled to herself. Alex-All-Mighty... Not a bad nickname.

Today is a good day. Ellie thought to herself. She was spending the day in the beautiful cold weather on the ice with her best of friends. Could it get any better? Le gasp! Maybe! Alex was actually attempting to stand up. Maybe he'd skate with heeer!

Ice sprayed from her skates as she came to a halt and watched Alex attempt to stand up. And then, yaaaay! He did it! "You did it!" She exclaimed with a grin, slightly sounding like a primary teacher would to a five year old.

Uh-oh. He was wobbling now. And before she knew it, Alex was falling for her. (No pun intented ) She held her her arms out for him to grab onto so he wouldn't land on the hard ice again. And then Alex Reed was dangling off her arm, cute smile and all.

"Why hello there." She said back with a grin. She took a gloved hand and dusted a snowflake off his nose.

" You are completely right" Rex told Rene. Nothing else had to be said at all. Rex looked into Rene's eyes and said" I love you vey much".

Emmy blushed, saying, "Well I do try not to! I haven't been for a while, so I'm a little out of practice!"
She started skating - slowly! - just a few lemons here and there...
"D'you skate a lot?" she smiled at her friend.

Ava Jade skidded to a halt on the ice, then backtracked and slowed down in front of Caroline. "Are you okay??" she asked, offering her friend a hand. "You went down HARD!" She felt like laughing -- it was kind of her default response when she herself slipped -- but wanted to make sure Caroline was okay before she did. People could get hurt ice skating, after all...

"Usually a few times every winter," Ava Jade replied, returning the smile. "I learned how to do it as a kid though, so it's pretty much stuck with me." A Muggle might say ice skating was like riding a bike. Or maybe Ava Jade was just so good at athletics that ice skating -- at least, simple ice skating -- wasn't really hard for her. "I can't do much more than skate in circles, though," she continued. "Don't expect any jumps or spins!" She laughed.

Caroline hit the ice laughing, yes her bottom hurt a little. She still laughed until Ava Jade caught up with her. Her face was red. She took Ava Jade's hand and helped her self up. "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't think I can sit for a week, though, now" She laughed. Thank goodness I didn't get hurt worse. In the five years that had been here she's only been to the Hospital wing once, and that was a few weeks ago. "Nah I've fallen down harder before playing quidditch with my brother." She had broken her leg falling off a broom when she was 9 playing quidditch with her brother at home. "how about we skate around some more and have one more race, then go inside for some hot Chocolate?"

Kimber reeled around when someone other than Jeremy took her by the hand. "They'd better not," she said, smiling when she saw that it was Chad.

"We would have come down sooner but..." The place was incredibly crowded. Hell, both of them knew how she felt regarding such matters. No reason to be outwardly hateful.
With Jeremy ready to go, Kimber gave Chad a gracious smile and stepped out onto the ice herself. Under her feet the ice was slick and solid, almost crystal clear and gleaming brightly. "This is fantastic, Chad," she said, smiling at him over her shoulder.

She skated out just a few feet and took Jeremy's hand, sidling up beside him all nice and close. "I'm ready," she purred, squeezing his hand as best she could through her gloves.

"Agreed," Katie replied with a small laugh, returning his smile before glancing to one side, at the other students out skating. No, it was a very good thing there were no broken bones; She had experienced that for the first time just recently and found out quickly how painful it was, never mind actually having to go to the Hospital Wing. She avoided that place at all costs. Something that seemed to have annoyed a certain blonde Gryffindor.

It felt amazing to be back out on the ice again after such a long break from skating, the slick solid ice surface under her blades. Though it was undeniably cold, Katie couldn't care less. "Seven is a good age to start," It was probably easier learning then too, at just the right age when you were an expert at walking and running, but not so old that skating seemed harder than it really was. A small smile played on the Hufflepuff's lips, listening to the Gryffindor mention that his mother was the one to teach him to skate, as well as dance. "She sounds like a smart woman. I agree with her, they are very similar in most ways, skating and dancing go hand-in-hand." Who taught her? It took her a moment to answer, recalling old memories that she could remember. "My grandfather did. I don't remember the first time, but I have siblings who've told me about that day; It was winter. My younger sisters hadn't been born for more than a few months, and my grandparents decided to relieve my parents of my older siblings and I. My grandpa made an ice rink in the backyard," And the rest? It was history. Of course, back then no one had ever expected skating to become such a huge part of her life.

Following Patroclus' gaze, her dark eyes landed on the large old castle, head nodding ever so slightly in agreement. "Hogwarts is a beautiful place to be, the castle and the grounds, always so well kept and for how old it is, too." Katie figured that actually made it that much more incredible, though. "And the people here are usually pretty nice, especially most of the Professors. Hard to complain. Though, I do tend to miss my family an awful lot during the school year."

Emmy grinned broadly, "You sound an awful lot like me! I had lessons at a Muggle rink when I was about six, and have barely been since!"
She turned round, attempting a few backwards lemons.
"Waaah!!" she squealed, as she overbalanced, wobbled but managed to stay on her skates - just!
"Ahem! Maybe I'd better stick to forwards lemons...!"

"Embarrassing people is my job y'know! I'm good at it too!" She said smiling. She was even getting used to skating. "What didn't you get enough points in?" Anna asked trying to turn in a circle in her skates. She only wobbled a little.

It had been awhile since he had been out on the grounds--Quidditch tryouts and self-imposed practice sessions aside. For the past several days he felt like he had been studying 24/7. So, the icy feel of the air felt good as he stepped out onto the ice. Ice skating had been one of his favorite activities since he could remember; his mother was responsible for initially instilling the love of the sport in him, but it quickly grew into something the two of them enjoyed equally. Now, with his mother stuck in the muggle world and unable to skate with him, he felt her absence keenly for the first time since starting the term. Later on, he would employ Enki's services to send her a letter, he decided.

Meanwhile, he would enjoy the familiar feel of ice under his blades. He glided smoothly over the lake's frozen surface, his blades only catching on the rivets other blades left behind, and picked up speed while trying to navigate through the sizable throng of students. The feel of his leg muscles working made him smile broadly. As fun as flying was, it could never replace ground-based activities--and this sentiment was not sustained just because Derian still nursed a minor anxiety over being airborne for extended amounts of time.

Now, if only Elektra was there...

He had not seen his lady-friend in a while either; and he found that he missed her company.

" You are excellent at embarassing people" Rex told Anna. " I do not embarass easily" Rex said to Anna. What a lie!! Rex is always embarssed by nice remarks from females especially Fee. " The calss was Transfiguration" Rex sighed." Boy, I can skate just enough" Rex smiled.
