Alex laughed when Emma helped him get his skates on, that was probably a good idea. He would keep tryint to find excuses not to go out on that ice. But he was out of excuses now and she grabbed his hand almost dragging him out on the ice. A part of him, a huuuge part of him wanted to let go of her hand, tear off the skates and run back to the castle in tears yelling 'I don't want to, I don't want to!' But he couldn't do that, instead he just flashed her an awkward smile. He could do this. With a little help. Alright, a lot of help.

"Okay so like never let me go." he warned joked and took his small baby steps clutching Emma's hand like it was the only thing keeping him up. Come to think of it, it was.

Alexbear had to focus a lot on not falling but managed to laugh and slooowly shake his head at the mention of Sel and her candy. "Then I'll bring a bag of candy. Might make her put the chainsaw down." he laughed.

Alex just raised his eyebrows at Fee, so she hadn't seen him fall just then. That was good. He chuckled and rolled his eyes, oh no wait he couldn't roll his eyes. He needed to have eye contact with the treachorous ice all the time. All the time.

"Fee when I say I can't skate, I mean I literally cannot sk-" he had involuntarily moved and off he went. Almost hitting the ice but he managed to get a hold on something before he landed face down on the ice.

Again.

He grinned at his luck and noticed he had fallen on Fee, and was now clinging on to her for his life. Or perhaps you know, his pride. "Cannot skate." he finished the sentense with an innocent smile, still hanging like a doll. A very manly doll that was.

Alex smirked at Hyun and started laughing when the snowball just swooshed right past his face. Then he got a bit worried, the Slytherin chaser was he? Heh. His laugh eruptly ended when he saw that the snowball was going to hit a girl. Oh that wasn't good. And it wasn't just any blonde, it was his best friend.

Crap.

"Um... Hyun..." he murmured staring at Fee when the snowball hit the back of her head. "I think it would be best to you know... Run." he nodded. Because girls were meeaaan.

Emma laughed as well. Then he was warning her. "Ha-I won't. Don't worry." she promised. Wow, Alex was putting all his weight onto her hand.. That would make them both fall. But he was doing well. "You're doing well Alex. Just like that." she chirped, smiling widely at him. He'd be a pro in no time.

The blonde smiled as he laughed when he mentioned Sel's chainsaw. Emma giggled at the thought of Sel and a chainsaw."Hmmm.. One second thought, you might want to bring two bags of candy" she added, poking her tongue out at him. He would need to be prepared. And besides Sel wouldn't kill Alex if she was around.

"Well I made beater. Not my first choice but im glad I made it." she said excited still. "Well you can dance and you have good balance you should give it a try its just like walking."

Violet walked down to the now frozen Lake with her Ice Skates in her hand. She smiled brightly looking at everyone have fun. Violet went and sat down taking off her converse and then immediately put her feet into her Ice Skates very quickly. She put her converse into her bag and took out her wand. Violet then placed her bag by a tree and said the Invisibility Spell turning her bag invisible. She then put her wand away and headed down the frozen edge. Violet then took a step onto the ice and then another. She balanced herself almost slipping but then quickly caught her balance again. Violet then began to gracefully begin skating with a big smile. The cold breeze blew through her golden locks as she began to skate around the lake having so much fun.

Dianna was still lying on the cold icy ground. Her head was spinning as she tried to get back on her feet. "Ugh. Thank you nature." she grumbled. She sat straight up which first started a bit wobbily but then she soon straightened herself. Fixing her hair she noticed a girl a bit younger than she was skating gracefully across the frozen lake. She watched her as she got closer before calling out, "You're really good." she smiled.

Violet did a little twirl and then went on to the continue skating. She then heard a voice call her and when Violet went to look she a brunette who looked a little older than her sitting on cold ice. Violet gasped and then began skating towards her. She stopped right by the girl and then said sweetly,"Oh my gosh, are you alright?" Violet then offered her a hand smiling brightly,"Would you like some help?"

Dianna took the girl's hand. She stood up and almost fell again but found her bearings and fixed herself. "Yeah. Completely fine. Thanks for the help by the way." she smiled.

"I'm Dianna. Dianna Malfoy." she said as she held out her hand.

Isobel shook her head. "I've never been skating," she said. "I would like to though, it looks fun. But I don't know how."

Violet smiled when she helped her but then gasped when she almost fell again. She quickly and gently grabbed her arm before she fixed herself. Violet said brightly,"It was no problem at all, and it's lovely to meet you Dianna Malfoy!" She smiled and then said in a sweet tone,"My name is Violet Annaliese Le Veela!" Violet then gently put her hand in Dianna's shaking it lightly.

Ooh foreign work! "That sounds really cool." Though it sounds like that would mean he'd travel a lot. Which might not be fun for Arya. But then again, Ellie didn't know for sure.

She began to tilt her feet from left to right, attempting to slither, in a way, across the ice. And when Arya turned, she thrust her body to turn as well. Only, she she tried it too fast and feet slipped from under her, causing her to fall. Luckily the cushioning charm was still there, and effective, and Ellie was able to stand back up. Shakily, but quickly. She wasn't that used to falling. It wasn't something you could really afford to do in Quidditch. But it didn't phase her too much. After all, people DO fall. "Nice charmwork," she commented. Heh.

The Ravenclaw tried to get back into the flow of her snaking movement as fast as possible. The fall had given her a sort of adrenaline rush, and she actually wanted to fall again if it meant that she'd taken another risk. So she picked up her speed.

And moving on, "I can see that, I guess." Not really. But she supposed not EVERYONE liked Quidditch, as Treyen pointed out last term. But, "You still go to the games, though, right?" Maybe? "I'd like to try that. I love horses." Or Abraxan. Come to think of it, she didn't think she'd seen a real, regular horse. "They're pretty."

As Arya listed some of the activities she liked, Ellie couldn't help but feel...sheltered. HER. Sheltered. At least, she was from muggle things. Of course, she knew what all of those were, she just never experienced them. Except for movies. She'd seen those before. They were silly, in her opinion. But other stuff Ellie wanted to know about. Maybe she'd be able to spend the entirety of the summer at her cousins? And experience a true muggle lifestyle?

But Quidditch.... That'd be hard to give up in the summer.... She'd have to think this through thoroughly. And ask her dad for his opinion. He would be helpful.

In the meantime, Ellie just nodded, not being able to reciprocate much. "They sound fun." Gymnastics did, at least. And she could do that without going to her cousins.

"Ugh," Ellie moaned. "Lifeless pieces... No, that'd be SO dull," she laughed. "We're not chess people, I suppose."

They had something in common!

Was Brittany eyes decieveing her? They had to be because she knew just yesterday the lake was in fact just a lake. Now some of it seemed to be and ice Skating rink? Well nothing was ever boring when there was magic around *shrug* Pity she didnt have any skates with her she loved ice skating. Maybe she could just slide on it with her shoes

Selina was curious about the lake. She knew from what everyone was talking about in the Common Room that the lake was frozen over. She had even heard people talking about ice skating on the lake. But she was nervous. Her father had bought her skates that summer for this very reason, but Selina was more graceful in the air then on the ground. So throwing ice and the ground into the mix would be difficult, but she had never backed down from a challenge before. Why start now?

Stepping onto the ice in her new ice skates Selina braced for the worse. None came, she was actually moving forward. And she kept moving forward and she could not stop. "Look out!"

Dianna shook the girl's hand. "That's quite a long name you have." she smiled. Di did a turn which at first she was reluctant to do but was soon getting the hang of it again just like before. "So tell me, what year are you in?" she politely asked.

Before Di did another turn she heard someone yell behind them. A girl who can't seem to stop was heading directly towards Violet! "Move away!" she yelled as she braced for the worst.

Violet smiled and shrugged her shoulders saying,"Yes, I know I've been told.." She giggled lightly and then said,"This is my first year here! What year are you in Dianna?" Violet jumped at the sound of a very familiar voice and when heard Dianna Violet was already putting her arms in front of her to stop the speeding redhead coming straight for her. Violet helped Selina come to a halt and said,"Selina Skylar! What in the world are you doing? You're supposed to come to a halt gracefully not have your best friend catch you!" She then said lightly,"Are you alright Sely?" Violet looked at Dianna,"It's alright Dianna, this is my one of my really good friends Selina Skylar, she's not too great on the ice as we can see.."

Selina squinted her eyes for impact, but none came. When she opened her eyes a very annoyed looking veela was staring her down. She explained who she was and Selina smiled the best smile she could give. She was an idiot.

Looking back to Violet she gave her best apologetic face and said, "Sorry? Come on you know how I'm not graceful missy. I'm a Quidditch player, not a ground person."

Turning to the other girl, still holding onto Violet of course, she continued, "Hello there. As Violet said I'm Selina. I do apologize for almost running straight into you and causing bodily harm. I tend to do that a lot. Not very graceful on the ice or the ground for that matter."

Oh, a firstie Di thought. "This is my third year." she smiled at Violet. "Luckily I'm also in Slytherin." she continued. "How about you?"
Before she even got to continue a girl was screaming to look out. She didn't really knew what happened next because she was already opening her eyes when she didn't even remember her closing them. "Oh. Hi." Di nodded at the girl.

Dianna then relaxed and nodded. "I understand." she smiled. She too was having a hard time on the skates because the last time she was one them she was eight. "So your a first year too?' she asked.

Violet smiled and said,"Oh a year third?! And a Slytherin?! Our best friend Elektra is a first year in Slytherin! Maybe you've met her? Elektra Draven?" She then said brightly,"I'm a Hufflepuff!"

Selina listened to Violet talk and smile her usual smile. She had a way of just drawing people in. Maybe it was the fact that she was half-veela, but it had to be more than that. It was just that she was a good and happy person.

Turning back to Dianna she replied, "Yeah, I am," But as she talked she felt her feet slipping out from under her, darn gravity. So she reached out quickly and grabbed Violet's hand. When she felt stable enough she looked back up and continued still holding onto Violet, "I'm in Gryffindor."

"Yes. In fact I did." she said.

"Ahh, a huffie." she grinned. Honestly, Dianna did not have much hufflepuff friends. Must be because of her house.. "So how are you enjoying Hogwarts?" she asked.

Dianna looked at Selina. She was still having a hard time balancing on he ice. She smiled as Violet helped her get to her feet. That is what you call best friends. "Wow! A girl from the lion house." she smiled. She can only count a number of friends that are in Gryffindor at the moment. "So I guess your on the team then?" she asked.

Arya shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. Her father's job was pretty cool at times. It was when it kept him in his study or had him traveling that she didn't think it so cool.

Having her eyes on the girl, she didn't miss her falling and quickly skated over when she hit the ground. Though it seemed she wasn't needed as the younger girl got back to her feet soon after. Arya watched her for a brief moment, making sure she wouldn't fall again, before going back to skating. Eyes still on the Ravenclaw, and a smile stretching across her face. "Thanks, it's my best subject." Her best that required wand work at least.

She was pretty sure Ellie held the same opinion of Quidditch as the other two of the trio. Die hard fans they were. Nodding her head, she spun a little. "I go to all the games that my house and friends are in." Decked out in house colors and cheering like a mad man too. Just because she didn't play, didn't mean she couldn't support them. "So do I, considering working with them." Maybe. She didn't put all that much thought into what she would do after leaving Hogwarts. "We have a few back home. No abraxans though." Shame that, maybe she would ask for one again and see how it went.

Spinning again, she started her backwards skating again, eyes still on Ellie and grin ever present. "Its much less entertaining than magical pieces are." She loved watching the pieces smash each other. "I keep trying to tell my dad that, but he just thinks I need to learn to be patient." She rolled her eyes, obviously disagreeing.

Smiling at the older student she replied, "Yeah, I'm the only first year Chaser. Some say that Quidditch is my thing," she said shotting a look at Violet, "but I just love it. What about you? You like Quidditch?"

"Well if it is your thing then I'll be expecting to see you in.. The Holyhead Harpies someday." she smirked. Or maybe even the Falmouth Falcons or Montrose Magpies or Puddlemere United..There are a lot of possibilities.

"I'm good enough." she shrugged sheepishly. "I haven't played for a while though." she said. Dianna did not blame it on her part though she blames it on all the homework the professors are giving them.

"Actually my Dad plays for the Falcons so if I was going to be anywhere it would be there. But I do like the Harpies." It was true, Quidditch was Quidditch and she liked it all.

"We should play sometime."

"I see! We'll I'm a big fan of that team!" she smiled. Actually, Di was a big fan of a lot of things but it didn't mean she couldn't have favorites, right?

"Sure." she said. This means she'll have to attend the next flying class.

Looking at her watch she noticed the time. "Merlin! I really have to get going. You know, studying and finishing homework and all." she smiled apologetically. "Really is a pleasure to meet you Selina." she said as she waved goodbye and headed back to hard ground.
