"What does your dad do?" Something time consuming it seemed.

Ellie smiled. She was? "I like this," she nodded. If Arya thought she was doing good, she might brave some more stuff. Like turning smoothly. Or jumping. That seemed most fun. And spinning!!

No Quidditch?! "Not even a leisurely game or something?" No Quidditch at all.... that was just unfathomable. About the horses, "Oh..." Totally didn't see that coming, "That sounds really cool." Truthfully it did. She liked horses.

"Oh..." She said again. "What muggle activities?" This was SO intriguing. Ellie only knew of a handful of muggle things from visits to her cousins'. She wrinkled her nose at Wizard Chess, "It's far too complicated for me. My grandmum gave me a set last year and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Especially when all the little guys start shouting at you." Maybe she'd be able to think clearly if she cast silencio on them or something... That was an idea.

"He works for the American Ministry of Magic." She was skating backwards now, almost lazily, throwing occasional glances over her shoulder.

Arya returned Ellie's smile with a grin, nodding in agreement. "Its fun right? I've always liked skating." What didn't she like though? If Ellie knew Arya as well as her other friends did, the statement wouldn't surprise her one bit.

Turning so that she wouldn't crash into a passing student, she shook her head. "No games at all, though I do enjoy flying. Just not Quidditch." It was too violent a sport for her, odd considering the other muggle sports she'd played. "Its the best," better than flying in her opinion.

Shrugging her shoulders, she threw a small spin in before continuing skating backwards. "Gymnastics, piano, board games, watching movies," she shrugged her shoulders again. "You know...fun stuff that can be done indoors." Ellie did know didn't she? Arya wasn't sure, but if she listed every activity she did indoors they would be out here til the ice melted.

Her own nose wrinkled when the topic changed to wizard's chess. "I agree. My dad's been trying to teach me forever with no luck. You should try learning it with a muggle board though, its much more boring." She didn't mind the yelling pieces, at least they proved entertaining. Muggle board sets just stood there.

" Well, I am scared of the ice" Rex told Rene."What is the newa?" Rex asked Rene. " You made the HufflePuff quidditch, I am so proud of you" Rex said to Rene beaming." Iam going to watch you play" Rex smiled. "What position and which house are you playing?" Rex asked Rene.

Freya was practically running down towards the frozen lake. She heard that Mr. Stryker the groundskeeper made the lake suitable for students to skate on. Now she was standing in front of the frozen lake where there are a lot of students skating with their friends. Quickly the blonde put her skates on. This was amazing why the school didn't do this last year too. After she finished putting on her skates, she glided slowly over the ice. Skating always felt so good.

Emmaleigh had her cloak wrapped tightly around herself as she walked through the snow. Even though it was freezing out here, she was enjoying herself. Over the last few weeks, she had barely left the castle, and had spent most of her time in the common room. It was a nice change. As she walked, she ventured near the lake, only to see that it was frozen over, and people were skating on it. Seeing that she didn't know how to skate, she just stood there and watched the others.

Alex looked at Emma skeptically but put on his skates anyway, he would look like such a nerd on the ice when everyone discovered he couldn't move. He would have to make up for it on the quiddicth pitch later. "Okay..." he murmured and managed to put on his skates successfully. "Yay! Am I done for today?" he asked hopeful.

Huh, of course he could do that. But he wanted to wear his watch! "Buut... I want to wear it." he chuckled. He just had to come up with another excuse, there were plenty like 'my dog ate my breakfast' no wait, 'my dog ate my homework' was the right one. Wasn't it? Or perhaps he could actually show up in time for class. Pff, like that would happen. His thoughts amuse himself.

"Ah really? That would be awesome." The Slytherin beater smiled genuinly. "Although Sel will probably kill me or something." he laughed. Yeah because she didn't like him too much.

Alex saw his Feeflower and did a little wave. Because he was actually a guy who could pull of a wave, uh-huh. "Hey there best maate." he chuckled. "Fancy watching me fall?" he asked tilting his head. Because that was what would happen.

Alex fought the urge to stick his tongue out at Ellie and just sat where he was grinning at her. "I can get up by myself thank you very much." he rolled his eyes slightly. Puh-lease, like he would need a girl's help to get-

He had tried to get up but failed and fell right down again. Trying to look calm and cool even though he was frustrated and embarrassed he ran a hand through his hair and cleared his throat absently. "Er, or you know I actually prefer to stay down here."

What was his snow throwing about Hyun about? Hmm, hard to say. Because he thought Hyun looked good with snow smeared across his facial feautures? Nah, that wouldn't be good to tell a girl. "I... Felt like it." he nodded. It had nothing at aaaalll to do with the fact that he had just given him two thumbs up behind her back, uh-uh.

It actually took Hyun a few seconds to process what had happened. One moment he was grinning at Alex the next something cold and wet splashed against his face. He did not! ...oh he just did not!

Shivering from the cold impact, Hyun wiped his face with his hands and glared at Alex. "Yeah! i would like to know what that was about too!" he said, mimicking Ellie's question and placed his hands on his slender hips. which looked so girly

He saw Alex nod his head and said "felt like it" FELT LIKE IT?! Hyun wasn't going to let the attack fade away, nuhuh. He too grabbed a handful of snow and threw it in Alex direction.....missing it..and he had won a place in the team?



He watched in horror as the snowball flew past Alex towards the edge of the frozen lake and towards a girl with blonde hair who was putting on her skates. 'Oh not good...not good at all.' he thought to himself and ran his hand through his black hair.

He must have been really nervous. Finlay laughed. "I don't want you to fall over." Well in actual fact, he really did not want to fall over himself, although a nice trip to see the school nurse wouldn't be that bad really. Actually that would be quite nice. Maybe he did need to fall over.

"Slow sounds good." He laughed, stepping onto the ice carefully. It wasn't that he was bad at ice skating, he just really hadn't done it for that long. When he was on the ice, he pushed a bit, and began skating slowly.

"Not that bad so it seems." He grinned. Perfect. hehe.

Emma sighed and shook her head sadly. Alex. Alex. Alex. Alex. She giggled and shook her head. "Nope. Now you tie your laces." she said, quickly tying both shoes for him because she feared that they'd never get out onto the ice. Then, grabbing his hand and she pulled him towards the ice. "Just take baby steps" she added, smiling.

She laughed. "Good, well then you should wear it!" she exclaimed, laughing. The blonde saw a funny look on his face. Hmm. She wondered what he could be thinking. A devious smirk crawled onto her face.

Emma grinned. "Awesome!" she exclaimed. Giggling, she shook her head. "Well she might, but I could persuade her not too. All I need would be a huge bag of candy for her." Sel was easily persuaded with candy. Emma had done it twice and it had worked.

"Aw, thank you!" Emily said smiling, even blushing a bit. She did like it when people complimented her for her magic. She hoped Nika didn't feel bad 'cause she could do magic other first years coudn't.
"Don't worry. I'm only good at charms cause it runs in my family. Plus I read about a lot of them, but I am pritty clueless when it comes to divination, and... muggle stuff, like science. And maths."
She hated them. Charms was more her thing.

She handed Nika the white skates, then started to tie up her own black ones. She hated taking her shoes off in the cold.
"Ready?" she asked gaining her balance with the shoes on.
"And a basic cushioning charm is Spongify. This is the movment-" she took out her wand and drew a small semi-circle in the air, then drew a vertical line through its middle, as if slashing it open.
One of the first spells her sister had tought her. Oh, them were the days!

Crazed!Girl smiled. "Cool." She chuckled at the crap pun. "I've only ever lived in England. But to be honest. I don't think I'd be happy anywhere else, d'ya know?" She smiled at the view. "It's beautiful innit? Cold...but beautiful." She sighed and gave his hand a squeeze. Bonnie skated a little bit more.

"'Course I am." She said gruffly. She wasn't some damsel in distress. The blond sniffed in disgust. "Yup. Polite conversation. It's what people do. The real question is are you dating anyone?" She shrugged. Crazed!Girl was NOT a good actress. She would'nt bother to pretend she didn't care. "I won't say that I don't care because I obviously do." 'Nother shrug.

What was wrong with him? He was snappy with her now. She narrowed her eyes at him. "..Okay. Well he's back,"

Sebastian shrugged. "Hmm, England is nice, a bit too dreary for me, but it's nice." He said looking up at the sky, then back towards Bonnie once more. Heh, she was beautiful...oh wait, the weather! "Ehhhr yeah." He said, avoiding contact with her. Hah.

Then before he knew it, Bonnie asked if he was dating someone and he could feel the tension rising in the air. "No, but....it's complicated." He sighed. Well he just messed that up, but it was true. "Anyways, you shouldn't care about my love life, I mean you do have that Beck guy, right? Get together with him." He said, wishing those words would never have come out of his mouth.

Oh, man, the look on her face. Aaron resisted the urge to throw his fist in the air out of success. He hit her right in the back of the head... And she was annoyed! Woo!

You really are a Slytherin, aren't you?

And Iris just grinned. Aaron might be clumsy at times, but he was no fool. He knew she HAD to be doing something behind her back. So he approached Iris with caution casually responding to her; "Oh, you know... It was with love."

And then the boy made a grave mistake. Like a fool, he hugged Iris. She was lucky Aaron liked her so much, because he was roped into that trap like a fish on a hook. There was a brief moment between Aaron and Iris where he thought he was going to get away with throwing a snowball at her. Then any confidence in his mind was burnt to a crisp when a loooong chill sank down his back.

"GAH!" He let go of Iris and cringed. Cold, cold, soooooooo very COLD!!!!!!!! Aaaah! 5 seconds of sheer suckage came across Aaron until the snow finally left his shirt and jacket. And then........

Revenge.

Aaron reached into his coat and pulled out his trusty wand. Not being able to think up a proper spell, the captain thought quickly and turned behind Iris. "Accio!" He pointed his want at a big blotch of snow sending it at the both of them... But Aaron was hiding behind the girl.

Bonnie grinned, let go of his hand and did a clumsly twirl. "Very nice indeed." She beamed. Then she almost completely forgot that she was skating and tried to run away, to start a game of tag but when she turned around to stick out her tongue she crashed into some poor randomer. "OHMYGOSH. I'm sorry. I can't skate." Redness flooded into her cheeks and she backed away and slipped her hand into Sebastian's.

And now she regretted asking it.

Ah well. She knew now that it wouldn't happen. Sorta sad but good to know. Crazed!Girl shrugged. "Sometimes complicated is good. Like the muggle movie Complicated. That's good." She grinned. A very good muggle movie. Then her grin faded and she snatched her hand away. "I love Beck. But not that way. Jeesh. You say one wrong thing and you're hated." Crazed!Girl's voice was harsh.

"I don't need help skating anymore. I'm sure I'll be fine."

Nika took the white skates and tried to lace them up as well as she possibly could. Wow, these things are complicated." Very much different than her other shoes. She finished criss-crossing her laces and tried to stand up. "Wo-WO-WOAH" She started to flail her arms in the air trying to regain balance. PHEW! She didn't fall... this time."Okay I think I'm going to work on that cushioning charm now before I do something dangerous." She practiced the spell that Emily taught her. It took a few tries, but in the end she was able to get it right. "I'm as ready as I will ever be!" Nika replied in a very sing songy voice. "I'm really excited!" She darted unto the ice, not waiting for Emily to join. "Wow! Emily come one! It feels like you're gliding on air or something. It's amazing!" She held her arms out like wings. Nika went right ahead and skated in little circles, not even caring about trying little steps first. Nika skated as fast as she could and ended up falling on her butt. Instead of crying she just merely laughed, "That was so much FUN!" She liked taking risks. And this was a lot different than hurting herself to the point of bleeding so she didn't really cry about falling this time. It was actually fun because when she fell she slid across the ice!

Sebastian laughed as Bonnie ran into a person and apologized. Maybe she did need help. Hahhh. Okay, so how was complicated, good? He had never heard of that. He was just about to ask how exactly complicated was good and then she snapped at him. His jaw dropped a little and then he shook his head, suprised by what he heard.

"Bonnie," He said, grabbing her arm, "I ....like - if you would stay, I'm sorry." He said catching himself. He wasn't just going to say that he liked a girl to her face. He wasn't that kind of guy.

Sorry if some of it dosn't make sence. I'm half asleep at the moment! ;)
 

Emily smiled as Nika practiced the spell. She was a teacher! :D
And she laughed as Nika darted onto the ice. She was a natural.
"I'm coming!" she laughed and made her way towards the frozen lake.

She, unlike Nika, took small steps onto the ice and stood for a while. Gain balance, then try moving.
One foot in front of the other. There you go! she told herself
She skated to where Nika fell. "You ok?" she said trying to help her up, but as she tried to pull Nika up with one arm, fell onto the ice as well.

Her at Nika shared the same smile then burst out laughing. Friends. This is what they were for! She would always remember this moment, as it was the first fun time she had had in ages since... Don't go there she told herself, but continued to laugh regardless.

Nika looked over at Emily and took a deep breath. "Sorry about making you err fall over." Nika couldn't keep a straight face, this was all too funny. "So, one question. How do we get up?" She burst out into more laughter. Oh, Merlin what was wrong with this little girl?

Emily laughed with Nika. Why did they keep laughing? Were they high or something? And how did they get up? Good question!
"I dunno" she addmitted. She made a sort of crap shape on the ice with her arms and feet out, but ended up on the ice again. Now her butt was sore!
"I know!" Idea time!
She flipped over so she was on her knees and slowly put one foot up so she was kneeling, then eventually back on her feet and had regained balance.
"Race you to the other side of the lake!" she called as she started to skate in the other direction.
Head-start! She was so sneaky... :shifty:

Nika watched Emily as she experimented different ways to get up. Seeing that she finally found a way that worked Nika tried too. "Okay, I did it!" She smiled and took a bow. And when she raised her head Emily was out of sight and she could hear her call out that they were going to race. "Not fair Emily! Hey! OI! Emily get back here!" With a smile on her way she sped after Emily. Only two thoughts were left her in mind. "1)I have to beat her! 2) How do I stop?"

Fee smiled as she sae her friends waving at her and callinger her name.Aww they were the best. Finally the vlonde had find them How boring would it have been if not.Smiling she got on her skates and made her way to the three.Emma,Ellie and Alex together?!Woaah that was umm interesting.

"Hey guys",the Slytherin smiled,"sooorrryyy i am late." Hopefully they werent mad at her?!Pleaaaaaase not. But before she could think about it properly the second year started too laugh. That obnoxious best friend."As if you were going to fall Alex",Fee chuckled.He surely did really good and just wanted to hear it from her.Tehe.

And then something hit her had.Oh my glitter what was that?!Touching her hair on the back of her head the blonde noticed it was all wet. WEEEET?!Who had just ruined her hair do?!Turning around she faced a darked hears asian guy."Heeeeeeeeey",she whined,"my haaair."But he was soo getting it back. Kneeing down to get some snow, the Slytherin formed a nsow ball in her hand and aimed it right at the guy.Hehe,dont mess with Fee.

Skate, skate, skate, skate. She was ahead of Nika, but only just.
She looked behind her, and saw Nika not too far away.
'Wow, she really is a natural' she thought and tried to skate faster.
They were about half-way across the lake, Emily still trying to get faster until she realised 'How do I stop?'
She had not thought this through...

She was so close! "Almost there Nika almost there." And she was just behind Emily. Only a hair away. Now think Nika think. How to stop. HOW TO STOP!!! HURRY BEFORE YOU CRASH INTO SOMEONE" Her mind was yelling at her. She decided there was only one way that she could stop. They weren't to far from the other side. Nika thought this would be the best time to put her plan into action. She crossed her fingers as she fell onto her knees. Nika closed her eyes shut hoping that she would hurt herself. She opened one eye and it was working! Nika was successfully sliding across the ice. "Now, this is how you get it done." "WOOOHOOOO!"

With love? Iris scoffed that it, eyebrow raised. Lies. He just wanted to throw snow at her. She didn't question it verbally, though. No... doing that could ruin her chances of getting back at him.

The prefect grinned as Aaron hugged her back.

It's a good job that she loves him, really, because he walked right into that one.

"You thought you'd gotten away with it, didn't you?" Iris said, grinning up at her boyfriend. She laughed and stepped back as he spazzed out at the snow running down his back. The whole time, she had a very smug look on her face as she watched him. See, this is why you don't throw snow balls at Iris Beaumont. :evil:

When all of the snow had made its way down Aaron's back, Iris frowned uncertainly. This wasn't going to just end at her getting even, was it? She twiddled her thumbs together, looking up at Aaron with wide eyes. Her wand was stuck in the holster; trying to get it out would be useless and a waste of time. Aaron's wand was out and he was already aiming it at something ahead of them....

... Why was he using that charm? What good could it POSSIBLY do?!

Unfortunately for Iris, she'd spent 10 seconds thinking. Those ten seconds nearly turned her into a human snowman. Iris hadn't even registered that Aaron had HIDDEN behind her, until she saw the snow flying towards them both.

Deciding that trying to get her wand out to stop the snow would be useless, Iris did the next best thing. She turned around with a startled squeal, so that she was facing Aaron. Iris didn't have time to do anything else, not even to look up at him, because the giant flying lump of snow ploughed into her back at a great speed; causing her to lose her balance completely.

Naturally, Iris grabbed onto the front of Aaron's coat as she began to fall. If she was landing IN the snow, then so was he...
