"I'm okay," Helena said, now laughing. She was... laughing of herself.

The girl stood up after a few more moments, when the slight pain from her feet finally passed, then skated until she was next to Viola. She WOULDN'T fall again. No. Not today, at least.

She also looked around curiously, to see the one Viola was talking to.

Ivan walked out desperate for some fresh air no matter how cold it was when he spotted people skating on the lake. How cool was that?! But he didn't bring his skates. Darn it. He stood at the edge debating about whether or not he should go out on his shoes as he watched the people skate.

Wobbling out onto the ice, TJ managed to barely stay upright. She'd sent for some skates, and her father had happily obliged as he always did. But skating was one thing she'd never done, so getting on the ice was quite a feat. Pushing one foot infront of the other with her perfect white shiny skates, she wobbled horribly throwing out her arms trying to stay upright.

Ivan's gaze wandered on the ice before spotting a familiar looking wobbly Slytherin on the ice looking almost scared to death that she was going to fall. Moving toward the edge of the bank where it met the ice, "You need a hand there?" he called with a smirk on his face. It was rather amusing to watch TJ flailing about like that.

Hearing a familiar voice she looked up. Oh Merlin!

FLUMP!

Yep, she shouldn't have looked up her eyes didn't stay on the ice watching where her feet went. Moving trying to get her feet back under her, she shook her head, "No, no I think...."

FLUMP!

"...I got it." Maybe not.

Viola started laughing. Oh gosh, they really needed to improve. "Good to know." said Viola, still having a grin on her face.

Helena joined Viola in a few moments. She seemed to be doing okay. So, what should they do now? " So, should we skate around the lake? Ha! That rhymed! Sort of. "for sometime more or should we just take a break and continue later?" Viola continued. She was starting to feel a bit cold.

Good question.

Helena managed to stop, once she reached Viola, then thought for a moment. "I think I fell enough for today," she giggled. "But we can keep skating if you want to. I" at least "need to improve my skating. A lot." Heh.

"Thank you for the trust and support. Maybe I shall learn when it isnt freezing out?" She asked. The snow on the ground was cold and very anti-games.

"Yeah, I know. I've skated before, Rex." She chuckled and stopped when she found out that Rex was a seventh year student. "Whoops. I should behave in front of you then, shouldn't I?" She asked playfully. "You know.. I really don't want you to bully me in any sort of way." She said friskily. "Hmm.. Jason Potter Weasley..." She raised one of her eyebrows. "Never heard about him. Never met any Jason Potter Weasley either..." She stopped for a second before she continued speaking, "But hey, we have exactly the same surname! Is he your friend then?" Alicia asked Rex curiously.

" Good, you will learn any sport when it is not freezing out" Rex told AAnna. "Wait a minute, excpet ice-skating, snow-skiing and hockey" Rex said to Anna laughing." You always have my trust and support" Rex smiled at Anna.

" If you behave in front of me, I will get upset" Rex told Alicia laughing." You are a good skater" Rex said to Alicia." I think i am afriad you might bully me" Rex teased Alicia.
"Wow, I am shocked you never heard of Jason Potter Weasley since you have the same last surname" Rex explained to Alicia." Yes Jason is a very good friend of mine and he graduated a couple of terms ago" Rex smiled. " Who are your mother, father, grandmother and grandfather?" Rex asked Alicia.

Christopher looked up from his hot chocolate to see some girl shouting at him from the middle of the ice. What was she saying? Hopefully she wasn't yelling at him or something. He threw his empty cup away and skated over the the shouting girl. "Sorry, I couldn't hear you. What was it you were saying? I'm Christopher, by the way." He held out his hand to shake hers.

It took a good deal of time before he was at least somewhat comfortable with the process of skating again. Albiet was with assistance, he wasn't exactly inclined to take another spill like last time. One foot then the other; that was his mantra. Even as he felt Arya's eyes on him and the blush rising, he kept watching his feet. She was a wonderful distraction, but sometimes he had to learn not to get distracted. Or only half.

Or maybe just not for a few moments.

Slowly, his eyes went back up to her, a small smile forming on his lips. The mantra kept repeating silently in his head, quieter and almost peaceful.

She couldn't help the grin that crept onto her face at his blushing. And it took some effort to stop staring at him, and to glance at their feet, again to make sure they didn't collide.

When he finally looked at her, her grin widened even more. "Your doing great." Sure she was helping him a bit, but she was certain that if she let go he would still be doing great. She had no plans of letting go anytime soon.

His smile only widened at Arya's look and her well placed words. "That's because I have you."

He wanted to hug her, but wasn't exactly sure what that would do to their balance. So he settled for watching her with a content smile. If time stopped now, he wouldn't complain.

"Yeah, that's what I think as well." Viola said, laughing. "Okay. Lets just skate around, then. I'd like to improve my skating too." Gosh, that was real easy to say.

Viola saw that the guy was now skating towards them. Viola felt so stupid for shouting like that but she really couldn't have skated all the way over to the edge of the lake. She would have fallen around a 100 times. "Hi. I just said that you skate very well. Anyway, I'm Viola. Nice to meet you." she said with a smile, shaking his hand. "And, this is Helena." she said, looking at her friend.

Helena smiled at Viola. She was going to fall for maaaany times. Oh well.

Buuut then she noticed a boy approaching them, the one Viola talked to earlier. Or shouted. Helena thought she knew him, but it looked like she didn't. Aaaand Viola already said her name for her. "Nice to meet you, Christopher," she grinned, holding out her hand, hoping that she wouldn't lose her balance or something and fall. THAT would totally be embarrassing.

She grinned at him. "I have been doing this for some time now." That wasn't what he meant, she was almost sure of it, and it also wasn't why she was smiling.

"You wanna try a spin?" Cause spins were soooo fun, especially on the ice. But she wouldn't do it if he wasn't ready.

Alicia laughed. "You sureee...?" She wiggled her eyebrows and grinned. "You should have asked Fee how bad I really am. Or Alex maybe.. if you know him." She giggled. "I swear I won't bully you. I won't bully older students. I have my own standards." She giggled harder.

"Aww thank you. That's really nice of you to say that." She smiled, her cheeks turned pink again a little. "You've never seen me skating before.." She rolled her eyes. "So, Let's skate?" Alicia asked Rex nicely and laughed as she nodded. "I know, but I really never heard about Jason. He could be my cousin. I'd love to meet him sometime." She said. "Does he look like me? Maybe we have the same hair colour or something?" She asked mischievously to Rex as she was playing with her hair. She giggled. "Wow.. That's personal. But, Okayy.. My mother is a Weasley, my father, grandmother and grandfather is too!" And she ended up laughing so hard after explaining it to Rex.

Sorta what he meant, sorta not. He'd settle for a wide smile in response.

That and then a rather quick blink at the mention of a spin. How often was it that him and spins met on a common ground of agreement? It didn't take him long to count the lack of instances.

"I suppose so." Apparently it didn't matter. As long as he acted as the cushion for whatever fall they took, it would be fine.

Woop! Maddie was skating - and not falling over! Yay! She did a lap of the Lake, and then another, until she'd really gotten the hang of it. Then, hearing someone call her name, she turned and looked for the whoever was calling. Oh, it was Adelyn. She skated over, smiling at her friend. 'Hey, Ade,' she said. 'Looks like we've both got the hang of this,' she added, grinning.

She hadn't seen Adelyn for aaages! 'So, how are you?' she asked, wondering what her friend had been doing while she'd been ill. Probably the same as everyone else... lessons and stuff. Anyway.

" Yes, I like a little bit of a bad girl" Rex told Alicia." Well, Fee is my best female friend and I do know Alex, no problem with a girl named Alicia Wealey" Rex said to Alicia." Oh, I knew you are a good girl and I know you would never bully any student, young or old" Rex explained to Alicia." Ok, we will skate" Rex smiled.
"Well Jason has blond hair" he told Alicia. " Jason's grandfather is Ron Weasley and his grandmother is Hermoine( Grainger) Weasley" he said to Alicia. " Jason's married cousins are Harry Potter and Ginny( Potter )Weasley. "Does this ring a bell to you?" Rex asked Alicia.

Thiago wandered down a path stamped down by several feet over the course of the season. It was absolutely, unforgivably, ridiculously cold country. He looked out onto the mountains to the east and was able force his frozen mouth to smile a bit. It was pretty. Not in the same way as Brasil. Not the same way at all- more austere. More... unforgiving. Or maybe that was just to him. Maybe others saw endless possibility.

He thought Eiri was going to be here... but he didn't see her yet. He did a quick scan of the people skating. There was no flash of hair more red than brown, eyes more blue than gray. He sat close to the lake on the frozen grown, tripling the loop his scarf had around his neck and looking out on the mountains again. He took out a leather-bound book and began to write, lists and lists of english words that he knew and their Portuguese equivalent, until they began to rhyme and he wasn't even paying attention anymore, he was dreaming, climbing the mountains, holding her hand, playing futbol, everywhere at once.

Eirian had woken up cold, and stayed that way the entire day. Nothing in her wardrobe - which now consisted mostly of heavy knit sweaters and skirts of every color, pattern, and length - had been warm enough to keep her from shivering. So, wearing neon green leg warmers - she was going through a very small House Pride phase - a black pleated skirt, and an ugly sweater her grandmother had knit, she had made her way down to the iced over lake for a visit with the warmest soul she knew. Thiago. If he couldn't make her warm and all fuzzy feeling, then no one could.

She had also brought her ice skates, but yeah. Honestly, she wasn't up to using them. Eirian wasn't very graceful on ice. When she had been here before with Cass her knees had become swollen and blue-tinted, and questions she had taken offense to were asked. Not like she didn't deserve it, but...

And there he was. Aww... Why was Thi sitting in the snow? She wasn't going to let him complain about a wet butt later. It was his own damn fault. She couldn't see what he was doing. Oh well... Walking up behind him, Eiri tapped him on the shoulder, smoothed her skirt around her goosefleshed legs, and grinned hoping he would look up and return it. These days, it seemed like no one really returned smiles. Not to her, at least. She was such a screw up...

A smile was her only response, and she didn't give a small verbal warning until she'd decided on the best way to start the spin. Putting a bit more distance between them, but not enough to make her hold on him uncomfortable, she stopped their backwards skating and started them spinning. Her eye on their feet, briefly casting a glance up at him.

"Oh, thank you!" Christopher couldn't help but smile. It was one of the only things he wasn't extremely awkward at. "It's ver nice to meet you, Viola." He then turned to another small girl, who was already holding out her hand. He returned the smile, and shook her hand. "Pleasure meeting, Helena." He hoped these girls would become his friends, though he would eventually want to become friends with other people than just first year girls.... Even though he only had two. Three counting his little sister. Fail. Only a true nerd could achieve this.
