Emmy grabbed her skates, and fingers shaking from the cold, laced them up.
Hurriedly, she put her gloves back on and breathed on her poor frozen hands.
Wobbling slightly, but luckily not falling over, she took a few tentative steps out onto the ice.
What a fabulous feeling it was, to be out there, gliding across the surface of the lake - she'd forgotten, it was so long since she'd skated...

Unfortunately, she wasn't watching where she was going.

SPLAT!!!!

Next thing she knew, she was lying on the ice next to another puff girl.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you! Are you ok?" she shuftied over to make sure the girl wasn't hurt.

Heather came down to the lake with a camera at hand, hoping to take a picture of the frozen lake and the skating students.

nope, she had no skates, she didn't even know how to skate, but she would love to learn how.

still, all she could do was stand at the edge, and watch people and taking photographs. she wouldn't want to risk her arm now, would she? It was still recovering from her previous injury after all.

but oh, how she envied the skating people. "stupid injury. i could have brought kurumi, Cass, Adam or Edward with me here...maybe they know how to skate and they could have taught me and that could have been fun, hanging out with them.". she muttered completely to herself.

Elle had never really skated in her life before. But it seemed really easy and fun! So she put on her skates, which she got from her magical purse she always brought. Okay, all set! How she put on and tied up her shoes just came from instinct and experiences with snickers.

The redhead had difficulty standing up and balancing in the snow. But it would surely be easier on ice, don't worry, she thought. Elle trudged, slowly like a turtle.

When she got to the edge of the ground, she took a deep breath and lifted her left foot onto the ice. Okay, that was fine. Next foot. Hey! This witch was on ice! And not falling!

The First Year grinned wildly and tried skating. Unfortunately, she had no experience with it, so she fell flat on the ground. OOOOUCH!

Isobel saw a younger girl fall on the ice. Isobel stood up and went over to her. She had to go across ice to do that though. She did, even though she didn't have any skates. Her shoes slid across the ice until she came to the girl. "Hello," she said with a smile. "Do you need some help?" She bent down to offer her hand, but she lost her balance and toppled over. "Ouch," she muttered. But Isobel looked over at the other girl and grinned. "Hello, my name is Isobel." Pronounced Eye-so-bell.

Elle was distressed when the girl found her and offered help. Oh, how embarrassing for a Slytherin! But whatever, witches do make mistakes too. Haha.

Seeing the girl fall down, Elle tried to stifle a laugh. "Hi, Elizabeth Woods.. or Elle," She smiled and noticed that Isobel didn't have any skates on. "Uh.. Isobel, how come you don't have any ice skating gear? You could have gotten seriously injured. Are you okay, by the way?"

The redhead tried to stand up, but couldn't. She didn't know how skating worked so she just sat there on ice, lounging and chatting with a new friend of hers. Hihi

Anna stepped out onto the ice and wobbled a bit. She'd never been good at rollerskating. EVER. She looked around for someone she knew. Nope no one. And she started skating in her wobbly ways. her skate hit a bump. Oh no. She was wobbling. She was going to fall. And fall she did. She ended up on her backside slipping across the ice. Her face was red. How typical of her.

OOMPH. Ava Jade hit the ice before she really even knew she was being knocked down. Her first thought was OWWWWW, but even so she started laughing as soon as she realized what had happened. "It's okay!" she assured the girl, who she noticed was another Hufflepuff. "I'm fine. I've done a lot worse to myself!" She giggled, but it was true. After almost four years at Hogwarts, the hospital wing wasn't anything new, and when she was there it rarely had anything to do with being sick. "I'm Ava Jade, by the way," she said with a friendly smile. "Ava Jade Lyall."

Shrugging...hmm...interesting...

"Understandable," that it would be her best subject, "You're quite good." Mhhm. Ellie had absolutely no clue what her best subject was. Maybe this was the year she'd find out?

It definitely was not Divination, though. At all.

She smirked. Of course Arya would. That's what good fans did. They went to games. Even if they didn't like the sport. So, really, the whole school SHOULD show up to a match. Really.

Arya was going to work with horses! "That's awesome!" Truth. And she had some at home. Jealoussss. "We don't have pets. Mum won't let us. Other than the family owl, of course. I had pygmy puff first term but-" Er... Arya probably wouldn't think highly of Ellie if she'd said the truth. Hmm..

Awkward silence time.

And so moving on....heh.. Ellie giggled at the chess remark. She didn't have enough patience to learn Wizard's Chess...she'd just DIE trying to learn it on a muggle board. Though, she wouldn't admit that she was impatient. She just thought that Chess was impossible and those who could play probably made the rules up as they went along. Exploding snap was a lot less complicated.

Satine giggled as they completed the circle. "that was great!!!" she said as she started skating a little bit faster still keeping hold of his hand with her right hand.

She turned to look at him trying hard not to meet his eyes...it was a kind of awkward conversation that she could kick herself for bringing up. "Well...." she paused and glanced back at looking where they were going thinking fast for a reply, "that's great...I'd hate for you to have to be stuck at Hogwarts with boring and ugly girls all term... that would just be torture I'm sure..." she said with a little roll of her eyes and a giggle...yes that was an innocent and great answer...two points for Satine...


She was instantly happy that her cheeks and nose were already red or Dallin would've seen her blush a little bit....she never expected her lame question to be turned on her..."Well, it's different but great being back after missing a year. I didn't expect as much to have changed...but it did.." she finished with a little shrug of her shoulders.

She paused and took a deep breath before answering the next question.
"Me...someone special?" yah right....that was never going to happen...she was going to be the only girl at Hogwarts to graduate without ever having that special someone....she kept her thoughts to herself and then answered, "Nope nothing special, I haven't really met any sixth years that were up to my standards..." she said with a wink his way...yes that was the perfect answer...it left the question actually unanswered..

" Hi Anna" Rex called out to her. " I am not good at this ice skating either" Rex said to Anna. Rex fell down. " Did you meet my girlfriend, well mt fiancee Rene?" Rex asked Anna.

Satine smiled at the groundskeeper as she tried doing a little spin, "I sure hope it does as well. I'm actually a pretty optimistic person so it takes a lot for me to gripe about too many things..." she said with a little nod.

Emily laughed and also tried to stand up. "Yeah, ice skating if for normal people. Who says we carn't ice skate on our legs?" She looked down at her legs. Yep, they were wet!
"What now? I dunno." She managed to turn in a circle. They were pritty wet, and it was getting colder. "Mabye, we should go back to the common room. Get out of these wet clothes... But if you wanna stay, I will..."
They were both so indecisive!

Nika pouted. She really didn't want to leave, but then again. She took a good look at herself and made up her mind. "Nika, if you can do two twirls without falling you stay. If you fall you go." She did a successful twirl and smiled proudly. "Okay one more"

aaaannnnd SPLAT

"Yeah, okay let's go." Nika got up and waited for Emily.

'I now im so glad." she smiled "I didn't know that." Looking down at the ice and watching Rex try to get his skates on. "If you fall I'll fall too, to make it look like It was my fault." she smiled " and you can blame me I dont care."

I hope your house beats Slytherin and you are the number one player" Rex told Rene. " I finally got my skates on dear" Rex said to Rene. Rex got up. He did not fall." I will not blame you if I fall" Rex explained to Rene. You are rigght, I can skate because of my dance bacground" Rex kissed Rene on the chrrk. " Would you like to go with me to the dance in Feburary where the prefects of the school are hosting?" Rex asked Rene.

Isobel considered the question. "Well," she said. "I don't have any." she shrugged. "My feet are slippery enough though." She grinned. "So, Elle, what year are you?" She could see by her robes that Elle was a Slytherin. That was cool. Not as cool as hufflepuff, but still...

Alex grinned at her and took some baby steps, wow he didn't fall. He was actually still standing upstraight!

Alex grabbed a hold of Emma's coat and hung there like the freak he was. He felt like whining and stomping his foot. But he couldn't move. Bohoo. "This isn't going well at all." he noted. Stating the obvious.

"Perhaps three if I want all my limbs in the right places." he laughed. Sel might chop of a finger or two, he'd better bring three bags of candy just in case.

Alex stood grinning when he saw his best friend fire off a snowball Hyun's way and it hit juust the right place. He chuckled and gave Fee a thumb up before he quickly wanted to turn that thumb up to a thumb down.

Whyyyyy was Hyun doing that?! Grrrowl.

Blink, blink. No, he had to save the situation. "Never listening?" he finished. Uh-uh, Hyun didn't hear his change of tone did he? Then again he probably did he was a guy after all.

"You should have ran when I told you so." he grinned. Now they were all back to where they started. All three, freezing and on the ice. Great, juust great.

Although, now when they were down here, perhaps he could crawl on them to be able to stand? Good idea. He started moving towards Hyun and Ellie, lik a seal. A cool seal but still, a freaking seal.

"Uff, move." he muttered when he crawled onto Hyun. "Now, stand up." he said grinning like a mad man. If Hyun stood then Alex would fall on his feet and all would be good. Besides, it did feel weird to lay like that. So... Like seriously, do something before this awkward silence streches on any further.

Fee wrinkled her forehead when her bestie raised an eyebrow at her.What was going on in that freaky boys head?!Ellie?!Food?Quiddtich?Girls?Something like that was for sure.But something told her he was kinda nervous of being on ice.It wasnt that hard,Alex probably managed it pretty well.

"Ah come on i am sure you dont do that bad",the blonde smiled.He probably just wanted to her from her that he was the master.But not even a second later the girl was proved wrong.Not knowing what was happening,she was laying on the ice her best friend on top and he was clinging to her as if he was afraid of drowning.Awww he really couldnt ice skate.

Besides the fact the she was laying here and couldnt breathe properly this situation was soo hilarious."Are you okay there on top of me?",the Slytherin asked laughing.If anyone else had landed on her they should better run but Alexi had a bonus.He should be gald to be her best friend.





Smiling when the snowball hit the guy the blonde wiggled her eyebrows.Dont mess with Fee,thehe.He had gotten her hair wet and there was noooo way anyone, and when she said anyone she meant ANYONE would get away with that this easily.Putting her hair in a bun the blonde hid the we part, so she still looked good.Phewww,life saved."You better fear your life now",she smirked at the older one and stuck her tongue out at him. Just then Hyun slipped and landed on Ellie.Trying to hold in the laughter she only managed a few seconds.This was soooo hilarious.



Awww Emma was soo cute."Yees i am really glad that i am here now too",she nodded,"ice skating alone wouldnt have been fun."And besdes that she had missed her older sister.Well they werent really sisters but Fee felt like it.Now that the Slytherin was surrounded by her friends this ice skating session could only be funny and good.After all they were the coolest people at Hogwarts.Hehe."He thinks he is going to die?",the girl laughed a little,"awww Mr. Reed is afraid of something, but in the end we will be there to save him anyway."They loved him too much to let him suffer.


Fee's eyes grew wide as she laughed when Hyun was landing on Ellie.That poooor girl.Really how did one person manage to destroy two girls hair in one minute? That boy was hilarious and weeeird. But weird was cool, expect the getting your hair wet part.Looking at the two laying there she chuckled,"Can you breathe Ellie?",she shouted over the where they were laying.This day started of pretty good.Hehe.

"Charms is fun. Casting general is fun, guess that's why I'm constantly practicing." And because she could only do so at school, so she took advantage of every chance she got to cast a spell, especially charms. "What's your best subject?"

Arya grinned at Ellie's enthusiasm. She still wasn't sure if that was exactly what she was gonna do when she graduated, but she did know it would include animals in some big way. "We live on a ranch, so we have tons of animals. There's only a few that I claim as my own. But what?" Did it die? That would be sad if so, but understandable, as she didn't think those lived terribly long.

Being somewhat oblivious to the awkwardness of the silence, the young girl did a few more spins, and continued to enjoy skating. She did grin over at Ellie when she giggled at her chess comment. One day she would learn to play. Maybe.

Dallin grinned at what she said. "I try," to be great, of course. He added a cocky grin to the cocky statement, and moved on.

"Mhmm," he agreed thoughtfully. He couldn't even get his brain to imagine a place where there weren't cute girls. Thankfully, Hogwarts wasn't one of those places, so he didn't need to worry or think about it too much. There were plenty of cute girls at Hogwarts. With a small smile forming on his face, he started to skate in short zigzag lines, quickly getting bored with just going in a straight line.

He eyed her curiously as she answered his question. Maybe it had been a little personal, he realized as she talked. He shouldn't have asked. Yeah, she answered, and she seemed perfectly fine, but not he didn't know what to say to her. He kind of chuckled though, at her last comment. "What about seventh years?" he waggled his eyebrows teasingly.

And then he changed the subject. "So," he started, "You're a sixth year, so you're almost finished with school and stuff. Do you know what you're gonna do when you've finished Hogwarts?"

Ellie heard Fee laughing and call out to her. She managed to sit up and grin. "Yeah. I'm good." She said with a little wheeze. Winded, but good. She laughed. She looked over and glared at Hyun.



Okay, now... What in the world was Alex doing? Crawling on top of Hyun...? "Alex... what in the name of Merlin's underwear are you doing?" She asked with a laugh, watching him crawl on top of Hyun.

Honestly, that boy was weird. Cute... but weird nonetheless. She couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation. All of them, laying on the ice. And Alex... laying on Hyun. Huh.

"You really should come out sometimes. Your head will blow if you studied all the time." Freya chuckled. "Watching?" she raised her eyebrows. Where the fun on that? In her opinion it was rather bored just standing there and watching people skating around the frozen lake. "Don't you skates?" she asked.

Emily laughed at Nikas twirl. "What on earth?" she smiled skating over to her.
"If you don't want to leave, we don't have to. I don't mind. We could play ice skating tag. It's exactly like a game of tag, except we're ice skating." She had wanted to make sure she was clear.
She was wet, but didn't really want to stop having such a great time with her best and only friend!
