Jake seemed to be chasing after the snitch again, weaving around the other players. When Kaia was free from bludgers (thanks to Rene), Simon passed the ball to her and, raising her arm, she took a shot at the hoop on the left. She smiled as it soared through.

Melanie grabbed the quaffle and tossed it back in play. Simon caught it easily, and started toward the hoops.

Meanwhile, Rene hit a bludger away from Jake, just as he was making another grab for the snitch. He caught it, of course.

Simon took yet another awesome shot. The quaffle flew smoothly through the hoop in the middle. Melanie swerved to catch it before it could begin to fall, and then brought her whistle to her lips.

TWEEEEEEEEET!

All of them turned, a few of them looking mildly alarmed. Melanie grinned. "You were all awesome today." As expected. They were Hufflepuffs, after all. "If your performance at practice is any indication of how you'll do in the game against Slytherin, we'll dominate. Get some rest, and be ready for the game tomorrow. I'll see you then." Melanie blew her whistle again, and they began to disperse. Jake handed her the snitch (either he'd held it the entire time Simon had been scoring or he caught it again... probably the later), and, after gathering up the bludgers, and packing everything up she headed off toward the castle.

Rene walked into the empty locker room. She was so nervous about her first game. She decided to start getting into her robes. The new yellow quidditch robes went well with her blonde hair and the new beaters patch was just fitting on the said robes.

Simon walked into the locker room, he was nervous, he knew he had played in a match before but for some reason this time he was worse than that and that match was the championship match two years ago, he had no idea why he felt more nervous this time.

Simon decided that he had better get change, so he put his Yellow Quidditch robes on and sat down on the bench and waited for the match to start, hopefully he would feel better after a little sit down.

Jake had changed at top speed and so now was at the entrance to the pitch, peeeeeeering out and looking for someone... ANYONE who might be out there for him. There were a few teachers... maybe they counted?

This was the first time in a while his parents hadn't watched Jake play... he was nervous. The boy bit his lip and kind of trembled. They HAD to win this year.

HAD to.

Kaia shoved her hair up into a ponytail, and then sighed. She had gotten changed the quickest she had in a while, and was sitting on a bench. She'd heard there had been no Quidditch at Hogwarts last time, so that kind of meant all the returning students in the stands were hopeful of a good game.

A good game... that didn't equal in death, right?

Atleast her sisters couldn't see her play this time. And atleast it wasn't when she was flying around with her father's team. This was Hogwarts. And therefore... very different to most of the Quidditch she'd played in her old school; one being she didn't wear yellow then. They didn't play by houses. They played by years.

Melanie was soooo very nervous. It was her first game as Captain after all. She was already dressed in her robes, and ready to play. "I hope you guys are ready for an epic game. We're going to do great." Melanie smiled as she looked around at the players present, a little shaky, but still confident. Then she led them out to the field.

Melanie was already in the air with the quaffle, and the other balls had been released. Hovering on her broom, she waved down as the Hufflepuff players entered the pitch. It wasn't long before they were in the air as well. It was pretty chilly outside, and up in the air it was even colder, but they didn't seem to mind much. "We'll go ahead and get started." That said, she brought her whistle to her lips.

TWEEEEET.

Then Melanie tossed the quaffle high in the air, quickly moving out of the way so the players could come forward to grab it.

Humming a cheery tune to herself, Melanie made her way out to the pitch. She set the crate down gently, before snapping it open to release the bludgers, and the snitch. The captain watched as they flew off, blinking before looking back at the crate, and grabbing the quaffle. Then she took off, to hover level with the goal hoops near the middle of the pitch. She waited with the quaffle tucked under her arm, looking down for approaching players.
