Simon and Katie passed the quaffle back and forth, back and forth, quickly making their way down the pitch. The teamwork was impressive, as were the passes themselves. One they reached the goalposts, Simon gave Katie one final pass and she took a shot at the hoop on the right. As the red ball soared through, she grinned triumphantly.

Jake had a similar smile on the face, Melanie noted, as she turned to see the seventh year with the snitch in his grasp once more. She gave him a thumbs up, before chasing after the quaffle to get it back in play.

Melanie grabbed the quaffle and threw it back in play. Katie grabbed the red ball, and tossed it down the pitch to Simon, who chucked it through the center hoop.

Down the pitch a little, Jake was avoiding a rather pesky bludger. No matter what direction he went in it seemed to follow... but, fortunately, when Jake spotted the snitch, and swerved away from it, the bludger didn't seem to be able to keep up. He caught the golden ball again!

Treyen retrieved the quaffle and threw it back in play. Simon came forward to grab it and, almost immediately, he brought back his arm and lobbed the quaffle back at the hoops. It soared past the tips of Treyen's finger tips as he dived after it... and the fourth year missed the quaffle by a matter of millimeters.

Treyen chased after the quaffle, and then tossed it back to the others. Simon grabbed it again, and, of course, he took another shot. This time Treyen anticipated the move though and, before the quaffle could even come close, he thwacked it away from the hoops.

Simon caught it, and approached the hoops again... He raised his arm... Treyen braced himself!... And then he released the quaffle!

...But it didn't go through the hoops. In fact, it didn't even go near the hoops. Simon somehow lost his grasp, and dropped the quaffle. It fell on an unsuspecting Jake flying below.

Jake, looking a little baffled after being hit in the head, caught the quaffle. He tossed it up to Simon, who zooooooooomed down the pitch toward the hoops Treyen was hovering in front of, and took a shot.

Treyen kicked it away, and the quaffle went flying down the pitch.

Simon took another shot at the hoops, but, yet again, Treyen blocked the shot. Melanie brought her whistle to her lips.

TWEEEEEEET!

"Practice is over... You were all wonderful. Ravenclaw is going to be a tough team to face, but if keep playing like that and I know we'll do well." she said, smiling slightly as she addressed those present. A few moments later, after Jake retrieved the snitch, and Treyen the quaffle, the players left the pitch. After gathering up the bludgers, Melanie left too, with a tiny smile still on her face.
