He seemed...wary. Maya wondered why. Hehe. Though she had no idea why he was looking around, had she not called out his name? Or maybe there was another brother Lockhart somewhere? Oh dear, had she met him?

Maya sighed when he finally took the letter. He seemed to like making her waste time. Heh. She hadn't expected him to read it right there, or she didn't want to stand there and watch him, because come on food was almost arriving...but, in the end she did wait.

He was speechless? For like, the FIRST TIME. EVER.? Hehehe. Well, let Maya savour this moment for a while... Content Sigh. But his expression had changed somewhat, and she didn't really want to know to what it had changed to. Errr. "You are welcome." Right.

Kelley saw Mikey take some red velvet cake and she did the same. "I don't think I'm really doing anything over the summer, to tell you the truth," she said. "I think I'll just stay at home and spend time with my Muggle friends..... I really have nothing else to do." She took a huge bite of her cake and chugged down some milk, passing the jug to Mikey, guessing he was looking for it.

" We are good friends" Rex told Kelley." You will see most of everyone next term" Rex said to Kelley." No, you will not see me, I will be graduating" Rex smiled." Look, everything will be alright and you should eat" Rex explained to Kelley. " Just think, next year you are not the newbie" Rex smiled again.

More than welcome. She should've said 'more than welcome', because this was just...incredible, really.

And then...wait? He'll have to wait? A WHOLE summer? That was NOT happening, and it wasn't happening because he sort of already knew the answer. If she hadn't put the years in the parchment he was holding, then he wouldn't have noticed, he'll be equally surprised by her decision to finally write this, but now he maybe knew more than he'd wanted to know.

Just minutes ago, Kurumi reminded him how awesome life was, right? Well, he'd gained something awesome (like Aslan) a couple seconds ago, but he may have lost someone else at the same time.

But he said nothing, he was just...blinking. At least he was blinking.

All Treyen wanted to do was say 'NOOOOO, don't leave us' even if no answer was given to him on the matter and entirely hug the woman and plead her to stay, but...why? He hated Saylen, no? He wanted her gone. The boy kind of told Mr. Stryker about that, so, why was he feeling so guilty about things that weren't being said.

His eyes looked down at the parchment once again, and then he swallowed before looking up at Maya. If she could be nice enough to do this for him, then he'd been wrong about her all along, just like with Bishop, except, not like with Bishop, Bishop was different, that Divination woman knew more than everyone in the Great Hall, he knows it. But, back to Maya. He wanted to say something, but he simply couldn't put it into words. Until...'courage', no, Hadley?

"I--hope you have a great summer as well," he started to say, and it sort of helped that he said something entirely unrelated to what he was going to say next, "You are an amazing Professor, thank you for coming over to teach us," and 'I'm terribly sorry I was awful to you?'. Yeah, that part was NOT leaving his mouth. "Also...," because this wasn't over yet, "...I appreciate all the effort you put on the letter," particularly those kind words about him, "You have no idea how grateful I am for this." He lifted the parchment as a sign to show what was the 'this' he was referring to...and then he went on and gave Maya a quick hug. Quick, you know, like...two seconds.

She was released in no time. Really.

Kelley smiled. "Thanks," she said, taking a bite of food. "Yeah, at least there's that."

Yeah, I'm going back to the States," said Kelley. "I'll miss it here but I guess it's nice there too...." She brushed the hair out of her eyes and looked at Mikey. She'd miss him a lot.

Aww ,,..." You never told me where home was in the states I am from Atlanta,,,I cant wait to see the look on the guys face when I try and check my broom at the airport" thinking bout it he should ask Sierra if she could take and hold on to it for him so he would not have to lug all over the planet

"You do that." And take pictures. "You'd be wise to take some anit-bug repellant. It's a beautiful place, but there are many creatures guarding the place." Hehehe.

Maya thought she'd seen all the odd ways of the boy, but all this blinkin was making her suspicious. Maybe he was communicating by ways of Morse code with someone else in the great hall. Keeping her eyes on Treyen, Maya turned her head slowly until she was finally forced to look away and towards the rest of the hall.

Nope...nothing suspicious behind her. Maybe.

So...he was being nice. Well, she knew he had it in him, she figured all these students were nice when you least expected it, but her and Treyens 'moments' usually dealt with her telling him off, and him giving her reasons to tell him off. Heh.
But what he said next made her face show a milisecond of surprise, and that feeling she didn't want to feel came rushing at her and now she had to blink. BLINK. Allright, everything under control. Maybe. Uhmmm... "It's been a challenge," she joked, kind of, "but a good one." Dang. For sure, she had not met many inquisitive and dedicated young students like him. And the thing about the letter. 'I didn't write it' would be a fun thing to say? You know, say funny things to lighten the mood. But no. "Hope it comes in use." Who knew how the next CoMC Professor would be, hehe.

She had not been expecting that.
This boy, who'd gotten alot of squinting-eyes and pursing of lips, the boy who walked away from her class... gave her a hug. She had to wrinkle her nose, like that would help her keep the stinging in her eyes from unstinging her. But before she could make her arms move to...hug him back, she was released.

Right.

Akward pause. Not knowing what to do here people.

She hadn't really cared much what the students thought of her - she had been here to teach, the way she knew how to - but this gesture was welcomed. Very much. Maya swallowed...and then composed herself. "Continue keeping your Professor on their toes, si?" A slightly sad/happy/smug smile, and she was finally heading for the Staff table.

Isobel smiled at Melanie. "Yes I am," she said excitedly. "I'm going to be staying with my aunt in France, and she said I could invite some friends over. My aunt is a journalist, she we get to stay at her boss' house. Apparently it's really big." It was then that she realized that she had been talking really fast, and that Melanie probably didn't care. She stopped abruptly. "Are you looking forward to your summer?" Then she remembered that Melanie was a seventh year. She considered adding, Are you looking forward to the rest of your life? But that would have been weird, so she settled on, "Are you sad to be leaving Hogwarts?"

Kurumi didn’t understand why Treyen was looking so perplexed when she handed him the box that contained the cupcake with giant chocolate wings. He had asked her to make cupcakes once before because he preferred them over cookies. What was that thing called again? She remember that it wasn’t Waffle, but Quaffle thanks to Selina’s tutoring…but what had that golden ball been called? Quiche? Quiches were yellow, so she supposed it was possible, although, she had never seen one with wings.

Her cheeks flushed a bit more as that sparkly smile of his appeared on his face and probably could have blinded the entire Hufflepuff table if not all of the Great Hall. She would need to bring an unending supply of sunglasses with her next term – especially if she was going to continue to be his Arithmancy partner.

Before she could even utter the ‘you’re’ part of ‘you’re welcome,’ Treyen embraced her in a hug that literally took her breath away. Wow, he sure had a strong grip. She then heard another boy speak, the one who had been constantly raising an eyebrow at her in Herbology, and her cheeks flushed even more. Was her hair turning colors too? She sure hoped that it wasn't.

“H-H-Hello,” she stammered trying to catch her breath as Treyen released her from his bear hug. “Con-Congratulations on your graduation,” she said bowing. Where had she put that box of fortune cookies on the Hufflepuff table? Oh! There they were!

She grabbed the box and held it out for Cedric.

“I know it is not much, but please accept one of these as a humble way for me to honor you,” she said nervously. Had that made ANY sense? She wasn’t even sure it had. Talking to older students always made her nervous…and made her brain start translating Japanese into English a little too literal.

"Hello Michael," Kurumi said bowing her head a bit. She looked over at the Gryffindor table and supposed that she could afford to spare a few more moments away from it. "Thank you."

She took a seat next to Michael. "How did you fair with finals?"

*The opposite? That's what he had been doing, spending every free moment with Marie. And at the moment that was not the best thing... for him. With a sigh he smiled and continued to eat.*
"When are you going to see Nik?"
*She hadn't said that she was going but it was most likely going to happen.*

"In a few weeks. I'm going home first and then heading off to Russia." And oh boy she could NOT wait. Six months was far too long and she was not doing that again. Mia was going to make sure that she visited him every possible holiday. "What are you going to be doing over the summer?"

"Marie might come by. But other then that hard training in the mountains." *It was odd but Matty loved trianing, sure he'd be with his family but he would rather not be. At times he felt like a 3rd... 6th wheel.*
"You and Nik should stop by the castle sometime. Save me from boredom." *He said with a smirk.*

Mia raised her eyebrows at the mention of Marie going to visit him over the summer but she said nothing about it. If he wanted to keep making things hard for himself then there wasn't a lot she could do except be there when he needed to talk. She seemed to be rather good at that.

Her eyebrows raised even higher and she couldn't help but laugh at his suggestion of she and Nik visiting. "Sorry Matty, don't get me wrong I would love to visit but I only get to see Nik during the holidays and I kinda want him all to myself, if you know what I mean."

*Seeing the look that came to her face he frowned a little.*
"You don't think she should come do you?"

*Matty chuckled and nodded.* "Understood, I was kind of hoping we could hang out a little over the summer but Nik comes first."
*He smirked and gave her a wink.*

Her hand ran through her hair, something she always did when she was feeling uncomfortable with a conversation. "You're a big boy Matthias. I am not going to dictate your life in anyway. Just...just be careful." Not that she knew from personal experience but Mia was pretty sure a broken heart hurt like hell.

"There's always Diagon Alley though." She said hoping that was better than nothing. Mia felt a little bad for ditching her friends but hey this was Nik, the love of her life, she was going to be spending as much time with him as she could.

Standing a giving a small bow from the waist " The test were hard but I think I did ok ... I just wanted to say I was really great meeting you this year , are you going be hanging out in the UK over the break " sitting back down and offering her a glass of pumpkin juice

*Matty sighed and looked away with a smirk.*
"Well if that is the best you can do then I have to take that."
*Turning back he smiled and lightly nudged her. He had missed Mia's motherly ways.*
"How do you think you did on exams?"

It's not like he took pride in being rather sensitive about what went on around him, but he could've noticed the look Maya was giving the Great Hall, as if searching for something....yet he didn't notice that.

He nodded again. At least she enjoyed her time in Hogwarts, and if this was all a bluff and she'd be returning then she'll continue to enjoy it, no? Oh, but yet again, he nodded. Though, it was kind of bittersweet to 'hope' that the paper could come in handy, seeing as it would mean that Saylen would be completely gone.

And...he didn't want her gone. He was left with no 'evil' Professors to argue with, not that THAT was important, he just...well, she'll be missed, and he didn't even notice until now.

After the hug, he sort of expected to be yelled at or something, but all he got were instructions for next term. He smiled, sadly, by the way, "I will." That's all he said before she was no longer at the Hufflepuff table. He breathed in and out, and held the parchment tightly. The sudden need to head back to the Common Room was there, but he decided that since 'life was so awesome' then he ought not to dwell in the past. That didn't mean he had to forget all about it, though.

His eyes were still on the retreating figure of Saylen until his concentration was lost.

Thank Gilderoy for that Gryffindor girl! But, no, seriously, the distractions after what HAD happened were much needed. Though, the boy was still all smiles, they just were smaller than the ones he'd had minutes ago.

But, yeah, let's not think about that right now. He blinked, for Kurumi's hair seemed to have purple highlights or something? Maybe it was just the light of the candles hitting it the wrong way or something, though, he kind of liked it, after all, he likes purple.

Awww, she was entirely adorable, offering cookies to the Prefect. Ha. Well, Treyen wasn't jealous, he had a cupcake to himself and he didn't like cookies.

"Where's Walnut?" he asked Kurumi, since Arya was holding Perseus, it seemed rather odd for Kurumi's cat not to be around as well. And he knew the cat wasn't around because he was seeing none at his feet.

She was about to tell him to wait until he had a girlfriend that he just wanted to spend all his time with but seeing how that was a bit of a sore point at the moment, Mia kept her mouth shut. She did that a lot.

At his question, Mia let out a small groan. "Okay I suppose. I'm pretty sure that I could have done better. And I can't believe that I am going to say this but I am not happy that I don't get the opportunity to sit my OWL's." Yeah someone must have hit her on the head with something. "How about you?"

"I think I did really well. I had been studying like crazy." *Matty was just glad that the tests and classes were finally over. His first two days off he would just sleep.*

Selina pranced over to the Hufflepuff table to see her favorite blonde. Sitting down in her usual yellow and adorned with the usual bow Violet Le Veela looked very content. She could tell that her friend was taking in her first end-of-term feast. Plopping beside her Selina said, "Hey! Ready for summer?"

Kurumi arched an eyebrow slightly when she saw Treyen staring at her hair.

HER HAIR?! OH NO! Had it really...she pulled her pony-tail in front of her face to check and see if there were any changes. She supposed there was a hint of purple, or perhaps it was pink, there...but nothing that should draw any attention to herself.

"Walnut is up in the dormitory," she explained rolling her eyes. "He snuck into my trunk and ate all the tuna fish cookies I baked for the tran ride back to London, so he is sleeping off his fat belly. He might come down later."

Kurumi knew that Walnut liked Treyen. Well, the cat liked to sniff Treyen at least.

"Thank you," she said bowing her head a bit as she accepted the glass of pumpkin juice. She did love the drink and wished that she could find something like it back in Japan, but no such luck. "I am not sure how long I'll be in the area," she said frowning. Her summer plans of staying a few weeks with Adam had gone up in smoke due to his parents and their crazy notion of Mexico being the best place for him to be. "My father just owled me the other day though. Looks like he is going to be working in Diagon Alley part of the time. Not sure what he will be doing though..."
