Freddie had pretty much managed to keep himself to himself during his short time at Hogwarts, but there was a girl he really wanted to say goodbye to, even if their relationship had been a complicated one. He liked the girl. He liked her spiky personality and her ability to bring a smile to the usually straight laced lad's face. She was one of a very small number of kids he was going to miss.
He approached the Hufflepuff table, searching for Cassandra Storm and, not seeing her among the sea of yellow and black, which was rather akin to the dots you got before your eyes before you fainted, decided to sit and wait for her. She had to come by here sometime, didn't she?
The skinheaded boy attempted a small smile at the students he was sitting near, but it came across as more of an awkward grimace. He wasn't good at this social stuff. Terrible, in fact.

As usual and as was expected Cassie was late for the closing feast. She had to make sure everything was packed and her hair was looking good before she came down to feast in the hall like this for the last time. She had to make sure everyone remembered how great she looked at the closing feast after all.
In anyways, she strutted into the hall and looked across the large room to the gryffindor table hoping to catch a glimpse of her best friend and she did, chatting away as usual. Cass grinned and waved, mouthing that she would be over there soon, she of course wanted to sit at her table first. The second table that caught her eyes was the slytherin table. She craned her neck as much as she could to try and spot Freddie but didn't see him. Perhaps he wasn't coming to the feast. The small smile that was lingering on her lips from seeing her bestie quickly faded.
Cassie plopped down on the first empty spot she found at the table not bothering to look who she was sitting next to, until she bumped him by accident.
" 0oh I'm sor----Freddie!!!" Cassie threw her arms around the boy and gave him a crushing hug and beamed at him as she released him. Well she wasn't expecting to see him here." what are you doing at the hufflepuff table?"

Freddie was in two minds whether to just leave and go and join his fellow snakes at the Slytherin table, or to stay here feeling uncomfortable. He chewed his cheek anxiously feeling like he really shouldn't be here sitting with the Hufflepuffs and was SURE they were ignoring his green presence on purpose. Not that he'd be too chuffed having to make small talk with people he didn't know.
He reached out to help himself to a drink just at the moment a particularly clumsy Huffie decided to plonk themselves next to him. Pumpkin juice slopped all over Freddie's sleeve and the table, turning the white table cloth a soggy off orange colour. He grimaced about to open his gob and allow a load of profanities in his thick cockney accent loose on the idiot beside him, but he was stopped dead in his tracks as he was caught in an embrace he wasn't expecting. The annoyance died away almost immediately and a small smile graced his lips instead of the scowl that was threatening. “Cassandra” He said, instead of swearing at the poor girl. He was usually pretty chilled these days, but stress was a catharsis for his old behaviour.
He released her and looked at her properly. She was always so well groomed.. even in her uniform. “I just thought I'd see if I liked it it here.” He teased her lightly. “Cant say that I'm keen on all this yellow” Wink.
“Nahh.. I wanted to see you..” Another rare smile. Cassie would be missed. GREATLY missed.
Ah. A special friend. She nodded her head in a bit of understanding, smile still faltering just a bit as her thoughts drifted. It was the Ravenclaw girl that pulled her back to reality, and she sent the girl a farewell smile as she made her way back to her own table. She was sure the girl had said something relevant to the goodie bags, but Arya couldn't remember what. Distractions, she had them.
"I don't know where he is," she looked around for her trio buddy... and came up with nothing. HE would be a good distraction from distractions right now. Sigh. "Maybe he's still packing his bags." Maybe he decided to skip the feast all together.
Cedric couldn't help but notice the melancholy tone of Arya. She seemed somewhat sad. Well, really sad that he could almost believe his silly thought that Arya was graduating, alongside with him and the others, this term. He watched as she looks around for the Lockhart boy.
Packing his bags? Heh. "I guess--" But his statement, as it perfectly seemed, was cut short by the cue arrival of... Treyen.

Then the boy turned to Arya, "Maybe he's right behind you," he said, as he took a seat next to her, "But, yeah, you were right." He just had so many things in the dormitory, and so many books, and a Knarl that didn't want to be caged again. That took him forever.
The Prefect just scowled at the boy's remark. He did not really need to reply to that. A scowl was perfect, and a little groan as well, to subtly indicate his feelings. But Cedric being Cedric, he knew he just had to come up with an equally brilliant banter.
"Didn't know you were this sneaky, Lockhart. So much for dating a Slytherin little girl, I guess?" Pfft. Ugh. He would quite miss the boy, Arya, Wesley--everyone.

After a minute or two, he was back from his reverie. It was this someone talking to Treyen that called him back to reality. That someone was the little whiny girl from Herbology lesson, if his memory didn't fail him. And in her hands was a rather funny-looking cookie... for Treyen Lockhart? "Looks like you've got an admirer, Trey. "

So, apparently, Cedric cared very little, because if he had then that scowl wouldn't have been on his face. If possible, that expression on Cedric's face made him smirk even more. HOWEVER, the smirk faded as the Prefect made a very witty remark.
And why witty? It was only probable that Cedric knew Treyen wouldn't appreciate it.
Indeed, the soon-to-be fifth year didn't like it at all.
It wasn't the sneaky part he minded, for he took great pride in it. It wasn't the 'date' part he minded either, for he knew better that it so wasn't true. It was the 'little' part of it all that he took great dislike in, since Sierra was a couple inches taller than him.
He neither deny or confirm the dating scenario, for, albeit not true, it wasn't Cedric's business. It may be Arya's business, but not the Prefect's. "I highly doubt she can be little when she's taller than me by a couple inches," he said, his tone didn't reflect his true feelings though, for he was still trying to smile, "And I'm sure you're well aware that size is, by all means, no sign of power." Because neither Cedric nor Jake managed to enter the Tournament last term, though Jake wasn't really around, and Fletcher did, the latter one being slightly shorter than the other two. By an inch, but still.
What he was trying to say was...NO messing with the Lockhart boy. Tsk.

At least the cake part of it had worked out and adding a little extra lemon zest to balance out the sugar had been one of her more brilliant baking ideas.
"G-Good evening, Treyen," Kurumi blushed. Clearly, her whisper of a greeting had not been enough for her to get the boy's attention. So, she tapped him on the shoulder and adjusted her grip on the box. "Good evening, Treyen," she said a little louder this time. "This is for you."
SPOILER!!: GIANT winged cupcake XD
But soon the smile he was trying to hold became a genuine one after he turned to look at whoever was tapping his shoulder. Kurumi! Good evening? That was...quite formal. But those were Kurumi's ways.
"Heeey, Kurumi," he smiled, and looked rather suspiciously at the box, all advices from Aaron completely disregarded as he took the box in his hands, "Really? For me? Why?" his birthday had been two months ago, and it was obvious that Kurumi couldn't know that, except after that Arithmancy lesson, but...er, what was in the box?
The boy actually started to untie the bow so he could open it right in front of Kurumi, he was rather gentle to it as well, lucky bow. He settle the ribbon on the table and then opened the box, very carefully and peeking inside it so that no one (yes, YOU Cedric) could see what it was.
Oh my Gilderoy!
A cupcake! A giant one. For HIM, and only him. Of course, the shape reminded him of a Snitch, and with that memory came the time he caught it, resulting in Hufflepuff winning the Championship two terms ago, something that didn't happen this term. But the memory of a certain Ravenclaw redhead who was fabulous at seeking also made an appearance in his mind. Her, and Jake, because a Snitch will probably remind the boy that Jake was also human.
This whole thing happened in merely seconds. TWO to be precise.
And he was smiling widely after that. So, he stood up, leaving the box wide open for, yes, Cedric to see it. The Prefect didn't get a cupcake, but HE, Treyen Lockhart, did. Ha. And once standing in front of Kurumi, Treyen gave the girl a very tight hug, "Thank you." For reminding him just how awesome life can be.

OF COURSE, Cedric had to ruin it all, no?
Bah. Treyen wouldn't let that happen, right? After all, Kurumi just made him remember a very important thing. "Ah! But you're quite mistaken there, she's a very good friend of mine." He said, still holding a smile on his face. "Kurumi Hollingberry, meet the soon-to-depart-from-Hogwarts-forever...," that was uncalled for, "...Cedric Leone, our Prefect."
Simon could believe another year was coming to an end, he couldn't believe that two of his hufflepuff quidditch team mates where leaving, he decided that when he saw them he would say goodbye to them and hopefully he would be able to keep in touch with them but he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to.
Fee made her way to the Hufflepuff table maybe she would see Kita or Simon here. The girl hadnt seen her two friends for so long and it was a pitty. Why did people seem to disappear a lot? This was not cool.Looking around the Slytherin found Simon sitting there.Yaaay for good senses.Giggle."Heeyy you",the blonde waved apporaching the spot her friend sat on.

Her searching for Treyen had allowed her eyes to wonder over to the other house table, a wistful look in them as they lingered on a few familiar faces. Faces that wouldn't be at the opening feast next term. Sigh. It was all for the best she supposed.
Thankfully her badge buddy arrived just in time to cheer her up.

A small grin spread across her face as she turned to him and greeted him with a hug as he seated himself beside her. "Took me a while too." Though it hadn't been because of her kneazle like it usually was. "Got any plans for this summer?" Arya was surprised that out of all their conversations, this topic had never come up. How had she forgot to ask about his summer??

At least there was ONE badger that was happy to see him, no? Of course, Treyen was thinking of Arya, not Cedric.
He'd received her hug and totally gave her a smile before Kurumi came along with HIS gift. As Arya spoke again, he couldn't help but give her looks towards the box that contained the cupcake. See? That was a very nice gift on behalf of the Gryffindor girl.
Since he was now standing next to Arya, Treyen looked down as he answered her question, "Well, I'm staying in England this time, and probably help Rae to build a treehouse. You?" They could meet in Diagon Alley with Aaron again, but a planned meeting this time.
Simon smiled as he saw Treyen he suddenly remember he still had Treyen's copy of 'The Art of Wandlore' he wondered if Treyen had any idea about Simon taking it well it wouldn't help to give him a clue. "Treyen are you missing anything?" Simon asked. "And why aren't you coming to say Hello to me?"

It was her last time she would step foot into the great hall and see her friends here in this perfect place. She took a seat next to Simon and began to flashback to the first time she had step foot in this great hall. The letter she had recieved telling her she was accepted. She was there at the table but her mind and focus was elsewhere

Simon smiled he was beginning to feel popular all of a sudden when then he remember it was Rene's last day here at Hogwarts and Simon suddenly felt sad and wished that people didn't have to grow up, he realised that soon he would be leaving well it was still a few years away. "Are you alright Rene?" Simon decided he'd cheer her up a bit, he wondered if he should tell Rene, Treyen might be down to see them soon. "Oh and I think Treyen might come and speak to me soon." He laughed as he looked to see where Treyen was.

Arya idly cuddled with Perseus while silently watching everything that was happening around her, busy people her peers were at the closing feast. Especially Kurumi who'd made Treyen a BIG cupcake.
WOW. That would take him forever to eat! It was nice though. A good gift she'd give her friends if she knew how to cook. "I'm staying in England too!" Awesome, right? "Gonna be spending a lot of time with Sabel, but we should hang out too." In Diagon with their other badger buddy!

" I found you" Rex told Rene laughing. The tables are not that far way." Did you get to talk to all your friends that you met at HogWarts?" Rex asked Rene. " You know all the grooms men except Hugo left HogWarts" Rex said to Rene. " Your brother and Jason are ok, but I need to add one more" Rex explained to Rene. " Any suggestions?' Rex asked Rene.
Thoughts kept racing through Melanie's head. Most of them began with the words, This is the last time I'll... There were too many last times for one day. She could remember the first time she ate at a Hogwarts feast, when she was so small and uncertain of nearly everything. And here she was now, perhaps a bit more sure of herself, and definitely a lot more nostalgic, but still the same fascinated little eleven-year-old that had first taken a seat at the Hufflepuff table.
She had already cried, and it was clear from the circles under the girl's eyes she hadn’t slept very well the night before. She head her head high, though, doing her best not to look as down trodden as she felt as she approached the Hufflepuff table. Melanie only looked down once, and that was because her tennis shoe was squeaking a bit ('Twas the last time her footwear would squeak on a Hogwarts floor!). At the sight of a few familiar faces, the seventh year didn’t waste any time in flopping into a seat among her housemates, giving those within her vicinity a friendly wave. Since nearly everyone seemed to already be speaking to someone, and she didn't really want to interrupt a conversation, she preoccupied herself with gazing about the Great Hall... Committing it to memory, because who knew if she'd ever be there again...
...Despite her determination NOT to be gloomy Melanie couldn't help but sigh quietly at the thought. She was really going to miss Hogwarts.

Kelley walked into the Great Hall and sat down at the Hufflepuff Table. There were so many unfamiliar faces and some she had seen but had never spoken to. She couldn't believe the year was coming to an end. She had made some friends and had a lot of fun here so far. She couldn't wait until her second year.
Kelley sighed glumly as she realized this was the last time she'd see Hogwarts for a few months. She picked at her food and stared ahead of her, eyes tearing up as she saw all the Seventh Years. How would they ever be able to manage never coming back??
She rested her elbow on the table and put her head on her hands, wishing summer would pass quickly. She wasn't hungry, but she knew she had to eat something before she left. Kelley stared sadly down at her plate.
curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog
Alex slunk into the Great Hall, a frown planted firmly upon his face as he headed to the Hufflepuff table. He couldn't believe it, his first year was OVER! Totally OVER. Now he got to go home and spend the whole summer being bored. Cause who was he going to talk to? Sierra? Pssh.
Although, one thing he HADN'T told Sierra yet was that he was planning learning to fly this summer. And he was fairly certain that would take ALL summer. After all, he could barely mount a broom without fainting. Getting in the air would take some serious mental concentration. But he was determined to do it, because it just wasn't as fun WATCHING Quidditch when he knew he was totally capable of playing it instead. Once he got past that whole fainting thing, of course.
Plopping down at the Hufflepuff table, he sighed and crossed his arms, looking around for some of his acquaintances. He still couldn't believe it. One year, totally GONE already.

Isobel walked over to the Hufflepuff table. Maybe she's consider going to a different table later to see one of her siblings. But, for now, she was perfectly happy at the Hufflepuff table. She was a Hufflepuff, and it as where she belonged. She didn't really know anyone here, but she still wanted to say. Isobel looked at all the faces and made a decision. She sat down by Melanie. "Hello Captain," she said with a smile. Technically, the season was over, but the school year wasn't, so Isobel still considered Melanie to be the captain.
Okay, so, Maya realised she hadn't actually looked at the great hall properly, so she now stood by the entrance and willed her neck to go as far back as it could so she could be stunned by the magical ceiling. And the rest of the architecture too, ofcourse.
Having stood there like a statue for what seemed like hours, the Mexicana now figured it was enough, lest her neck stay like that permanently. Not good. What would her animals say. Straightening up, her dark brown eyes scanned the tables, and soon enough found who she was looking for.
It wasn't that hard, the boy had a tendency to be loud and quite loud. Hehe.
Striding past everyone, she finally stopped by the Hufflepuff table, quite interrupting whatever the boy was doing, because she didn't care. Hehe.
"Mister Lockhart," Detention!
No, just kidding. "Hope you're looking forward to going home for the summer?" Tough luck if he wasn't, because that's where he was going, because he couldn't stay here. Heh. "I have something for you, please see that you do not misplace it somwhere." Pffft, she took time from her precious schedule to write it. Her hand snapped towards the boy, hoping he'd take the letter she was holding. Like, quickly. She wanted to go eat now. If Tate could make it happen, that is.
SPOILER!!: What.
Quote:
To whomever it may concern,
Mister Treyen Lockhart, of Hufflepuff House, came to me in regards of the possibility of keeping the creature, a Niffler, he had been taking care of during the school term of '74.
During the school year, Mister Lockhart has been proving that caring for the Niffler has been a manageable task, and it is clear he has a passion for creatures and their well being. Mister Lockhart has not been afraid to ask for more information about the creature, or guidelines about them, and that is one of his more stronger suits.
It is therefore that I, Maya Saylen, previous Care of Magical Creatures Professor, hereby assert that Mister Lockhart is a suitable and responsible caretaker of his pet Niffler. I am sure that by the time he graduates, he will have learnt further knowledge of Nifflers and how to make sure they are properly taken care of in his own home - specially how to keep them away from the eyes of Muggles and other possible malignant forces.
Hope you take this into consideration, and Mister Lockharts willingness to be a magnificent caregiver.
Sincerely,
Maya Saylen - 2072-2074 Care of Magical Creatures Professor
*Wearing his best school robes Matty walked down the Hufflepuff table and found an empty seat. Sitting down he looked around for his friends, seeing a few he waved. Filling up his plate he started to dig in. The year was over and he was more then ready to go home. A good two months of hard training in the Swedish mountains.*

Melanie turned her head abruptly, looking almost surprised as she heard someone address her, simply because she'd been so distracted studying the Great Hall. When she realized who was speaking to her though, an friendly smile came to her lips. "Hey there," Isobel! She liked the third year quite a bit- Not only because she made a great beater, but also because she always seemed fairly amiable.
"Looking forward to the summer?" she asked, taking a sip of water from her goblet. Melanie had mixed feelings about leaving. Presently, she just felt like tying herself to a table or something, though.
His name was being called again, obviously, by the one person he'd been walking towards in the first place, but then...distractions happened and he didn't have a choice.
It's not like Simon was TOO far away, anyway, but he was over 5 feet away.
"Huh?" he frowned, what did he mean by 'missing anything'? Did he miss to bring something to the Great Hall? Because as far as his memory went, all he'd misplaced was..."Do you have my book?!" HIS book, that had been previously owned by Pierre, the very first person he met before Hogwarts, well, besides Livvy, of course. Actually, he met those two around the same time. She was the first Ravenclaw he met, and Pierre was the first Slytherin, who also happened to be nice.
Either way...
...Treyen's eyes were still on Simon, he highly doubted his friend had taken that book, given the fact that he knew how attached Treyen was to them.

WOW. That would take him forever to eat! It was nice though. A good gift she'd give her friends if she knew how to cook. "I'm staying in England too!" Awesome, right? "Gonna be spending a lot of time with Sabel, but we should hang out too." In Diagon with their other badger buddy!
Wait. Wait. But didn't Arya, like, live in a kingdom far, far away? Blink. Why was she staying?? And why didn't he know about it too? Oh. Come to think of it, they never discuss their summers. Not even on that one occasion they were all three in Diagon Alley.
Weird. That won't help them bring Aaron to power.
Anyway...
...Oh. Of course, Sabel. "But that's brilliant!" right? "I mean, you staying." And spending time with Sabel, too. "Yes, absolutely, we should, just...owl me when you're in Diagon and I'll try to stop by." Yes, try was NOT the key word in the sentence, because he could make it in no time, but the owl part WAS the tricky one, since not all have perfect timing.
"I was planning on meeting Aaron, now I guess all three can meet up." Granted, they were going to.
And he opened his mouth to ask Arya something else...when...

Sincerely,
Maya Saylen - 2072-2074 Care of Magical Creatures Professor.
...that voice...he knew that voice. That's why he instantly froze and was entirely terrified to turn around.
He did it, anyway, because he couldn't avoid Saylen, could he?
"Professor," he nodded after she'd said his name, and then made sure EVERYONE was looking, or at least one of the few people around him, in case he got killed or something...but wait, summer?
Bliiiiiiiiiiink.
His head was tilted to one side now, why was Saylen being so nice? "Y-Yes, actually, I am." No mentions for her summer, though, since Mike kind of was asking that already, PLUS, she had something for him?
Treyen extended his hand to take the piece of parchment and fought the urge to ask what it was. Surely the boy hadn't done nothing wrong at the moment to deserve detention, and school was almost over, so, the piece of parchment sort of made him lose his mind for a moment there...until he started to read it. Both hands holding it and his eyes looking down because he was reading it and then his mouth was open at the surprise. Yes, he didn't expect that, the boy never thought Saylen would be capable of giving him the written permission.
Mouth closed. Parchment folded in half. Eyes up. "I-," he started to say, "I don't know what to say," he was almost crying, by the way, but thank Gilderoy his eyes showed no sign of it, "Thank you, Professor Saylen." He said, and it sounded like he truly meant it, because he did. The small smile on his face was directed to the woman, and also the single nod towards her that followed his words.
He was...shocked, okay?
But something didn't go unnoticed. The last part. The years as a CoMC Professor. "You...are coming back next year, right?" he felt a knot in his stomach and he had no idea why.

"I'm glad I met you too," Kelley said, smiling a little bit. "I guess I'm okay. I'm upset that it's the end of term, and that I won't see any of my friends from here until next year. And I won't see you at all, I guess." She picked more at her food. "I don't know, I'm not really hungry," she said gloomily.

Kelley grinned back. "I wouldn't make you do that. You'd probably just squirt more coke on yourself," she said, chuckling.
