Braeden looked up from his plate, chewing on a slice of pear as Charlie asked what he had been eyeing her plate for. At the sight of the girl with salad dressing all around her mouth, he snorted. Oh MERLIN. He felt bad, but that was hilarious. After taking a moment to chuckle softly to himself (trying his best not to burst out laughing as loudly and obnoxiously as he so wished to), the boy turned away from her to calm himself before turning back to his Hufflepuff friend, his brown eyes teary-eyed from the effort of holding in his laughter.

"Um… Char, you've kinda… got… something…" he muttered, trying his best to keep a serious face, but his twitching lips failing him. Oh Merlin. She looked hilarious. It was kind of adorable, though, how childlike she seemed with salad dressing on her face like that.

The boy then scanned the table for a brief moment before spotting a neat little stack of napkins. He took one into his hand and did Charlie (because she seemed like a little kid at the moment and he felt like her older brother or something) the favour of wiping the salad dressing off her face. "You had dressing-lipstick," he explained with a chuckle once she was all clean, disposing of the dirty napkin magically. Aw man. That was funny. But he'd better not laugh, that'd be mean.

Charlie wondered what had Braeden in near tears, "Seriously. What?" Why was he laughing so?

Charlie's face was then engulfed in flames. No way. She felt so embarrassed but she realized the funny factor. "Oh god," Charlie said as she blushed and lay her head on her arms, "That is soo embarrassing." She started to giggle a little. I can't believe he just wiped my mouth like I was two. It was. . . kinda sweet. She might have been older by a year to Braeden but apprently he was acting like her big brother would, if she had one.

She sat up and hoped her face still wasn't too red. "Thanks for. . . you know. . . not laughing to obviously and helping me out." She very nearly blushed again but figured she had done it enough.

Braeden watched as Charlie buried her face in her arms, his amused smile turning more sympathetic. Awwwwwww. Look at her, she was blushing! The boy grinned a bit at this but tried not to look too amused. He didn't want to embarrass her or make her feel ashamed or anything of the sort; clearly, she was embarrassed enough as it was and he didn't need adding on to that.

"Hey, it's not so bad," said the boy in her defense. "The only one who saw it was me, so how bad can that be?" he asked with a soft chuckle. Yeah, it was just goofy Braeden… he'd witnessed and been part of much worse embarrassments, and he obviously wasn't going to run around the school telling everyone Charlie had a salad dressing mustache, funny as it had been.

As the girl then proceeded to thank him for cleaning her up, Braeden shrugged with one of his goofy smiles. "No need to thank me. But you're welcome," he said. "I'd watch out for that salad dressing from now on if I were you, though. It's out to get you!" he added jokingly with a chuckle.

"Thanks Cub. I owe ya one." Charlie smiled and patted LC the back. She nodded, "Sneaky dressing always looking for ways to taunt you."

She went back to noming on her salad, did she want desert? There was a delicious looking pie sitting just there, did she dare? She sat for a moment, zoning out.

"Why you? Well, we both have completely opposite views on things, you're a muggleborn and I'm a pureblood, and you know all about muggles, and I know nothing about them other than what I've observed by walking home and looking through their windows. Basically, we are the complete opposite of the other and I find that very intriguing. It's like that story I told you about the Slytherin and the Gryffindor.Total opposites, but so truly in love. The other Slytherin girls, they're pretty, but not beautiful. Beauty is what's on the inside and outside. Not just the outside. You need to remember that. And sure, my dad would love to see me with another pureblood, but in the heart, it choooses what it wants. You can't choose for it. The more you fight it, the more miserable you'll be in the long run." He grabbed Jaina's hand and squeezed it tightly and gave a sly look with a matching smile.

Jaina smiled at Benjamin. "You always know what to say to make me feel better." She laughed a little, "Honestly, I think I gave up fighting it a while ago. But it seems more like a dream I don't want to wake up from. This place is all too wonderful and you are just so perfect." She paused for a moment then said, "I feel like I'm going to wake up at any minute in my old room and mum and dad will be there yelling because I made something happen in my sleep again." Just then her, elf owl, Oona, flew in and dropped in front of her. She checked her legs and nothing...as usual. "I guess I should introduce you." she giggled. "Benjamin meet Oona. Oona this is Benjamin." She whispered to Oona a little loudly, "Be nice, I really love him." Jaina gave Oona a gentle scratch on the neck.

Kita walked along the Hufflepuff Table slowly, despite the fact that her stomach was groaning from lack of food. She didn't even know why she was so hungry all of a sudden. She had, after all, eaten a couple of hours ago. Weird.

She sat down along the middle of the table and frowned. Now that she was hungry, she was finding it extremely difficult to decide what to eat. Is it possible for food to look even more delicious when you're hungry?

Kita cut herself a huge slice of the cake in front of her and lay it gently on her plate. Nothing like a bit of chocolate when you're hungry! She poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice before helping herself to some cake. Ah... bliss!

Caroline was hungry and bored. She came into the great hall yawning with boredom. Her stomache growled. She grabbed her stomache as if to hide the noises that were inside. weird. It was like her stomache was telling her to get food and get it fast. She frowned for the lack of people that were in the great hall apparently everyone comes on time to eat meals. She was late. sigh that wasn't anything new to her.

Caroline walked between the Hufflepuff and Slytherin tables. She was about to sat down at the slytherin table until she seen her new Hufflepuff friend Kita. She had a huge slice of cake on her plate. It looked yummy. She slowly walked over to Kita, she stood behind her "BOO" she giggled and took a seat beside of Kita "How are you, Miss Kita!

Kita was concentrating too hard on her cake in all it's delicious glory to notice anything that was happening around her. She didn't expect anyone to disturb her. She surely didn't expect someone to come up to her and nearly scare her half to death.

And that's exactly what happened. A familiar voice had said that fatal three-lettered word that made her jump so badly, she nearly dropped bits of chocolate on her clothes.

Confused, she looked round at the giggling girl that was sitting down next to her. Her anger ebbed away as quickly as it had come as she smiled at the blonde. "Well, hello there Miss Caroline," she said, trying her hardest not to do her bad imitation of a British accent, "I'm good. Just enjoying a good meal for once without worrying about other things. What about you?"

Nika skipped over to the Hufflepuff table. She always liked Hufflepuffs, they were all so nice! She looked around the table for her friend. Where is Annabelle?

Caroline giggled when Kita jumpped she really didn't mean to scare her. But she figured that it would though. She grinned as she took a seat. She throught for a second that Kita was mad. Well she would not have blamed her if she was but seen a smile.

Caroline nodded "I'm good, too. I hungry. She lauged that chocolate cake looked so good "Wow that cake looks so good." She told her. She took a plate and got herself a piece of the cake. She dug into it. Dang this was so good.

dumping his bag on the table mikey grabs a plate of food while he waits on Matty

*Walking down the table he found Mikey and sat down put his bag on the table.*
"Hello Mikey, lets get started."

Belle saw Nika, "Hey Nika!!" she called out, and she put her backpack under the table and starting putting her food on her plate. she was starving.

*Pulling out a plate of food he nodded.*

Nika turned around trying to figure out where her name was being called from. She could tell that the voice belonged to Annabelle, but where was she? Nika looked up and down the table and then finally found her. "Oh, hi Annabelle!" Nika blushed a bit out of her embarrassment. Annabelle had been right in front of her eyes. She walked over to the table and laid down her things. "So, how have you been?" she asked her friend as she plopped down in a seat beside her.

Kita smiled at Caroline as she sat down. She couldn't believe she had only known Caroline for a week or so. It truly felt like she had known her for a long time.

She started laughing. "So am i," she said, nodding down at the huge slice of cake she was eating. She didn't know why she was eating a lot of chocolate. But then again, who needs a reason to eat chocolate? She laughed again as Caroline started eating the cake. "It's good isn't it?" she said, "Ah! Those house elves!"

*Matty frowned rubbing the back of his neck.8

Belle started to put mashed potatoes and roast beef and yorkshire pudding onto her plate. "Oooh i have been doing great! I am doing great in tranfiguration, potions and charms, so i am happy." she grinned to herself. "I just got done writing my mom a letter since you know i am her first girl going to hogwarts and all." she shrugged and began to eat. After she swallowed she asked "But how are you doing??" she asked curiously. "you adjusting to hogwarts well?"

*Grrr... kid had to go and be smart.*
"Okay... what is the assignment again?"

Caroline smiled back at Kita. She was glad that she had met Kita. Since her brother and sister and their friends had left School Caroline had felt lonely here the first part of this term. It was her fifth year here and she was trying to make make friends with the who already had there little groups of friends that they hung out with. It was hard making friend with people who already had friends. But at least she'd made a few now.

She chewed with her eyes closed. Taking in the yummy chocolate flavour and moistness of the cake. Was moistness even a word? She nodded still chewing and eyes closed. She shallowed her food before she spoke. "Merlin Pants, this is good cake" she giggled. Those house elves had truely out done themselves today with the cake. [B"Yummyyyyy"[/B] she said in a silly voice. She dug into the reminding bit of cake and finished it.
