He grinned at finding out he was also missed, but he was certain that he'd missed Arya even more, because, well, there were little distractions at Hogwarts. AND, most importantly, she'd been away. Not him. It's only logical that he was the one missing her more when he got to stay and pretty much the Castle reminded him of her, no?
Er, maybe not.
"Good, I'm not too fond of worrying," yes, Arya, TRUST HIM about that. Because he'd been worrying for the past days about the most silly thing. But, yes, he'll talk about that later.
Then his eyes widened. "What? Really? That terrible?" but he waited until she'd answered Preston and then...kept on talking about the...WHAT?! Singing.
Well, yes, Treyen burst out laughing, "Singing?" yeah, good thing he was not invited, "What did they sing? Why didn't you sing? What's the Borr dude like?" Geez, Treyen, give the girl a break.
Arya was smiling as she took a bite out of her pizza, nodding in agreement. She LIKED being worried over, but she certainly did not like doing the worrying even though she did quite a bit of it.
"THAT terrible. There was singing, and crying, and a whole lot of distressed students and Ministry workers." She might have been over exaggerating, but to Arya that was how the party felt in the end. "I brought you back a Borr tshirt."
The thing was hideous and he was certain the burn it, but she wouldn't be offended. Maybe they could burn they're shirts together.
He was laughing which had her breaking out in a grin. "Before Borr gave his first speech, he said the students prepared a song to sing for him, which was a big fat LIE cause not even the Headmaster knew what he was talking about. But almost all the of those foolish lions got up and sang the school song, including Tate." Why didn't she sing. "I don't sing, Treyen. I play piano, but not sing. And even if I did I wouldn't do it for that man."
It was obvious that Arya didn't mind all the questions, and was more than willing to tell her friend about the large man. "He's HUGE! I've never seen a man that large, surprised the dais didn't break under all his weight. And he's conceited. He thought he was some miracle worker that was brought here to save the British Ministry." She rolled her eyes. "He got rid of the Education Department and replaced it with an Environmental one."
Crazy crazy fat man.

Honestly. She didn't have to smile, it was like she had enjoyed his 'worrying over her' part.
But one of his eyebrows was raised, because...did she say crying? Was that on Kurumi's behalf, perhaps? Or Jake's. Singing, crying, distress. Well, that was some meeting for sure. Though, it didn't sound like a party. Not really. And she'd brought a souvenir along! "A t-shirt?" why was he eying her all suspicious-like? He wouldn't have done so if she'd been more excited about it.
Haha. So, the man started out by lying? Why did that seem familiar? Gilderoy Oh. Well, Treyen wasn't laughing anymore. There WAS a smile on his face, because the thought of the Gryffindors improvising for the Borr dude was amusing. "What song did they sing?" just to weight in how much they HAD to improvise, no?
How come Arya didn't sing? She had the voice for it. But, oh, well. His eyes widened as she said she plays the piano. How come HE didn't know that? That sounded like something a best friend would know, right? "I didn't know you play." There. That's all he said on the matter.
However, his eyes widened even more as she started to describe the man.
Okay, so, yes, the man was not like Gilderoy at all. At least Gilderoy had been good-looking, yes? And now he was laughing, perhaps Arya was exaggerating only a little? The idea of a man that could break a dais was...simply not happening. "Perhaps the dais was magically enhanced or something." Nod, nod. Yes, enhanced to prevent the thing from succumbing to the man's weight.
Er, hold on a minute, okay? What did Arya just say?
"What do you mean...got rid of the Education Department? Like...what does that mean." Blink.

Yes. She said crying, and it wasn't Kurumi though she was probably close to it with Tate getting on her for continuously trying to thank the large man. "It has Borr's face on it." Could he tell that it was hideous? "And its blue. We can use our shirts to make smores." She nodded her head, obviously liking the idea.
"They sang the school song," she replied. "And it wasn't too bad." They did alright for a bunch of Griffindors. "Probably the only song they knew."
Arya nodded her head. "I learned when I was really young. Used to do a few recitals but now I just play for fun." And the family when they demanded it. And Sabel. For fun of course.
"That's the only way it stayed up. He was HUGE. And he walked with a cane, has to be magically reinforced to." The large man would surely break it if not. "I should have taken a picture so you could see him." The shirt would have to suffice.
The young Puff wasn't surprised the least bit by Treyen's reaction. "I mean he got rid of the entire department. He said that they weren't doing their job, and that the governors are going to take back total control." Scary? She wasn't sure, but she sure didn't like. "I don't know what it means exactly, but it can't be good?"

"I don't know what it means exactly, but it can't be good?"
Okay, so, the crying part was still rather freaky, but he didn't want to know about it mainly because he was no good with tears. Arya knew that, right? Or maybe it was only Kurumi the one that knew so? Oh, well.
What? The t-shirt? The boy was frowning. Arya didn't really like that souvenir, did she? Then why bring one to Treyen too? Oooooh, "I like that idea, we could do that in the Common Room." Like, in front of the fireplace and all. Oh, the excitement! They NEEDED to head to the Kitchens immediately! Like...NOW!
Or, not, wait up.
Laughter. Again. But not as loud as before. "Oh, just the school song? At least it was something they all knew." If someone had asked Treyen to sing the school song, trust him to say no, but any other song? Maybe, probably, perhaps. It depended on who asked. And...who'll he be singing for.
Man, he wanted to play an instrument now. That was something he had no idea how to do. But he didn't even know which one he wanted to in the first place. He nodded. Nodded. Nodded. And smiled.
He was laughing NOW. "I have to see that t-shirt, then, or check for some Daily Prophet news or something." Yes! The Daily Prophet! That's how he'll find out about Borr, no? The man was supposed to be important and that newspaper was usually aligned with the Ministry, therefore, a story on the man was on the making for sure.
At the mention of picture...his eyes lit up. The word reminded him of someone, "I have to tell you something Arya, but first things first...how is Hogwarts going to work without the Education Department?" just by Governors? That's...not happening. Or, no, wait, it was. "No, not good at all." Scary.

Now Arya was lighting up at the idea, all the food at the table forgotten. "We SHOULD. Right after we leave here." Great minds think alike, right? And the sooner the got rid of the shirts the better. "Well, not exactly right after. I have to go see Sabel. But later today we use the shirts to make smores." Mmmhmm.
This time she was laughing too. Only a little though, it was more like giggles. "I think that's the only song they all knew. Tate's old... I don't think he knows the songs we know." And vice versa. The headmaster probably only listened to old people's music. Probably.
The Daily Prophet! How come she didn't think of that. "They were there too! I bet they have loads of pictures of him, and us." Arya considered this for a moment. She wasn't sure she wanted to be in the paper.
"Okay, but DON'T let the things I'm about to say make you forget what you've got to say to me." Cause she did want to hear it, but at the same time there was more stuff she had to tell him. She gave him a minute to not forget his thing before telling him her thing. "First, I don't know how its gonna work? Tate's gonna run it with the governors I guess? We should ask." They totally should when it wasn't so crowded. She frowned at all the changes. "AND he canceled NEWTs and OWLs for this term." And then she grew quiet and let THAT sink in for a brief moment.
"....And there's one more thing..."

GRIN.
Yes! Totally! The Kitchens! But after he was done with his sandwich, please? His eyebrows started to knit together after she'd mentioned Sabel, "But...weren't you guys together all day?" his mind didn't see logic in whatever Arya had said. No, he couldn't understand. "We'll have smores today, that's for sure." And Preston was more than invited to join in, if he wanted to, or if he was still listening.
Nodding again, "True." And then he chuckled, "One never knows, though," perhaps he was a very young soul and liked to listen to their music.
What? Yes, of course he knew the Daily Prophet had to be there, but was Arya going to be in the papers before him? If she did, then what was Treyen's job in the trio? After all, he was the one chasing after parties and getting Aaron noticeable and well-connected after Hogwarts, no?
Then I'll wait for the Prophet, after the t-shirt," he said, while nodding a little.
Haha, it would be rather impossible for him to forget what he was going to say, but he didn't want to ruin what Arya HAD to say first. "As long as Tate is there, then I guess it'll be alright." He was feeling a lot more calmer now, but still, it was all very strange. Mmmmhmmm, the man had..."WHAT?! oh, good thing he wasn't on his fifth year or..., "They'll be back next year, right?" oh, he was frowning, alright? He wanted his OWLs next year!
Blink.
There was....more? He was staring in disbelief at Arya's news. YES. Staring AT the news. Hehe.

"Kinda... we got separated for a bit." More like she'd gotten upset with him and he'd walked off. Yeah, totally the same thing. "We we're kind of rushed out of the party, and haven't had the chance to talk about what happened today." She nodded her head in agreement. They would have smores and it would be awesome and hopefully make up for the horrid day they just had.
"True." Now she was giggling harder at the image of Tate listening to her music the way she listened to the music. She highly doubted the man danced around his room all silly-like with his tunes blasting.
She had no idea about his wanting to get in the paper first, or why he cared to. She certainly didn't. But if she DID know, she'd hope that her picture wouldn't be in the paper for his sake.
"It shouldn't be a long wait." Nope. The paper would probably come out tomorrow with the large man's picture on it.
She nodded her head. Yes, as long as Tate was there then it should be fine. She could hope, right? Right. "I don't know! He didn't say, but I wouldn't put it past him to cancel them again." She was frowning to. "I don't even know if I should start studying for them or not..." Why study for a final that wasn't gonna happen?
This time she didn't wait to say what happened next and just blurted it out. "We came back kinda early from the party because muggles were on the grounds." More specifics? "THESE grounds, and Vindictus found them a sent Tate a patronus telling him to bring ministry folks back. When I left they were still dealing with the situation."
She didn't know what was going on now, but she sure was worried about it.

Oh? See, Treyen was getting better at this, perhaps he had too many girls as friends or something, but there HAD to be something behind that story, no? It's okay, he wouldn't ask. He only nodded and then took a bite from his sandwich.
And the image of Tate rocking out to some music in the Headmaster's Office was simply amusing, maybe that's why he had so many meetings with Vindictus, they were probably on a band or something and they haven't let any of the students know about it. Was Lafay the lead singer? Nah, Lafay was probably the bodyguard.
"Do you think they have a band or something?" he'd said this out loud, and he hadn't meant it, but this was Arya he was talking to, it didn't matter, right?
Nod. True. Not too long a wait, considering tomorrow will come pretty fast.
Sigh. OWLs. His eyes widened at her comment, though, "Well, why shouldn't you study? I will do so, even if there are no OWLs, and you'll be studying with me...," because...who else will study with him? Right? Maybe Emmy, if her parents were okay, "...but I'm sure Tate will figure something out." Not about the OWLs but about the whole Education system situation.
Good thing he hadn't been drinking anything as she spoke next. "Muggles?! But...," where had he been when that happened?! "...what? I thought Hogwarts had all those protective Charms to keep them out." Which didn't work, apparently.
If the Ministry thought proper to suspend Hogwarts for such a mistake, then they'll do it for sure. Worrying, he was.

"Do you think they have a band or something?" he'd said this out loud, and he hadn't meant it, but this was Arya he was talking to, it didn't matter, right?
It took a moment to realize that he was talking about Tate and... the other professors? Had to be the other professors as well. Which had her breaking into a wide grin. "Them have a band?" Arya wasn't giggling because the thought was just hilarious, she was giggling because she was actually thinking on it. "What would they're band be called?"
Tate and the tots?
Or maybe Tate isn't the lead singer, maybe Vindictus is...
She shouldn't study because there would be nothing to study for, but she'd study with Treyen if he was going to continue studying for them. Maybe just magical creatures and charms. "I'll study with you, and we could bug Tate into making sure we have OWLs next term." She was GOOD at that. That could probably recruit Ivory into studying with them as well. That Ravenclaw always had her head stuck in some book.
"Muggles." She nodded her head for emphasis. "I thought Hogwarts was protected by charms too! And runes! I don't know what happened, and I doubt any of the professors or the Headmaster knows anything either cause they're not telling us anything." But when did they ever?
She tapped her nails lightly against the wooden table. "I think that's why the ministry people are here, to try and figure out what happened." Or try. They would try to fix the problem.

Treyen laughed and then shrugged. It was a very amusing thought. "I don't know." And he truly didn't. He didn't even know Arya could play an instrument, how was he supposed to know if either Tate or Vindictus did. Or...Lafay. But, then again, Lafay didn't seem like the type to play guitar or anything. Really.
"The Tatertots?" And the smile on his face was like no other, because that was a brilliant name.
Awww, see? That's why he liked Arya so much! Because she supported her friends no matter what. Even if, sometimes, he managed not to pay much attention to whatever she was saying. "Good." And she could bring Ivory as well. Ooooh, wait, Ivory was a Ravenclaw, no? How close was Ivory with the people on the Quidditch team?
Never mind.
"And they won't tell us, that's how life goes." They could help, you know? The students, but since the grown ups were busy trying to figure things out on their own, then they paid little attention to their suggestions. Not that Treyen had any. "Maybe, I don't know, but whenever the Ministry gets involved...it doesn't end well." History taught them that, and this is not the first time during this school year that he's said that.
Browncoat l Extra Syrup l Kita's Strong Confident Other Half l Lemon Patch
Haha!
Arya was laughing more at Treyen's band name for the professors. She was really beginning to wonder if they had a band. "I bet they practice in the room of requirement." That would explain why no one knew about The Tatertots until now. They were gonna have to do some spy work to find out about this band.
And the instruments they played. Vindictus could play anything really, drums or guitar. Tate was probably on Guitar, and Lafay... she didn't know what that woman would do in a band. Let alone the other professors. "We're gonna need more info on the professors to see what they play and stuff." Which would be EASY to find out.
"I'll bring Ivory too, she's good for keeping focused." Or was, before they started spending a lot of their time gossiping. "We could probably get a whole group of fifth years together to study if we wanted." They could, badgers were awesome like that.
She sighed and nodded her head. "Because they enjoy treating us like children." She HATED being a kid during times like these, being left in the dark until something happened to one of them. It was beyond frustrating. Running a hand through her damp hair she sighed again. "We could always ask... couldn't hurt to try." The Ministry. "Nothing ends well when they're involved, especially for us." The students that is.

They were having an amazing time at the expense of Hogwarts Professors. That was...priceless! As soon as she mentioned their possible practice place, the boy burst out laughing AGAIN. He could see it. After dark. Seventh floor. And the Room of Requirement gave you whatever you wanted, so, for all they knew they could even host concerts and everything in there.
The Secret Life of Hogwarts Professors.
"Oooh, I bet Zookara is in there as well," and HE could be the lead singer.
If Kingsley was still around, then he'd be the manager, and, well, Nolan...he'd play too. Like, keyboards or something. Man! The possibilities! He was still laughing, this was the very first time he'd laughed so hard this year. Thanks Arya for that, and Lord Borr for providing the inspiration.
Yes, exactly, that was the spirit Arya! He smiled, and then shook his head, "Sounds perfect, but, we don't have to plan anything right now." Let's wait until the start of next year, yes?
Ah. Another chuckle. "Well, we kind of are." Children, of course. "But I guess we could ask around." Perhaps not Tate directly, but if asked Magnus nicely then she'll probably let you in the know, same goes for Zookara and Mr. Stryker. You just had to know HOW to ask them. Though, Arya could go straight to Tate.
The year was almost over, though, but still.
"Your news make mine look...rather unimportant." He chuckled again, and took another bite of his sandwich. The never-ending sandwich.

They WERE having an amazing time at the expense of the Hogwarts Professors. A well earned amazing time after the day they'd had today. What with her going to the Borr party and Treyen worrying. She laughed along with him, her slice of pizza completely forgotten. The images of them sneaking to the seventh floor after curfew was just priceless.
"I bet they're all in on it!" All the current ones that is, she wasn't sure about the awesome professors that left Hogwarts. "I bet Zookara plays bass. Wonder what the other's professor's jobs are..." Magnus probably played piano, Descoteaux probably rocked the drums too, and Truebridge... she didn't know what he'd be doing in the band, but it would be something awesome for sure.
She grinned and giggled. "I bet they have matching outfits." Ooooohhhh, she wanted to see that.
Arya hadn't realized it, but Treyen had not only sucked her back into studying for the possibly non-existent OWLs, but had also got her to recruiting other rising fifth years. "No, not now. We can wait til next term for that."
"True," She giggled. "But were also growing children, the best in our class and house I think, and not as naive as we we're first year." After that year she grew up really fast in some aspects of her personality. "I think we deserve some sort of answers from somebody." Preferably someone that knew what was going on around the castle.
The whole who and how was still a bit of a lost talent to her, but only a bit though.
She gave him playful nudges. "Your news is ALWAYS important." At least to her it was. "Spill."

Man! Figuring out who was in the band, and who played what was simply hilarious! That's why they couldn't be trusted with the future of the world just yet, because they seem to get distracted very easy.
He kept on laughing, because, who wouldn't? Right? And then even more at the suggestion of matching outfits. It was...the coolest sight to behold. "You know, I think I may find a way to remain unseen on the Seventh floor," he totally wanted to see if such a thing was true. The band, of course. That's probably why Lafay seemed to eye them with distaste, by the way, maybe she was a groupie and was left out of the band somehow.
Heck, maybe the new Herbology dude is making sure the tour for this summer is all taken cared of. That's why he's not here, he's away, traveling.
The fourth year nodded once more. Of course, Arya, not now. But if he could get Arya to think of studies for next term, then he could certainly find a whole study group, no?
That was HIS power. He could talk people into things. And Arya was a MIND READER. An invincible duo.
A most unbeatable trio.
Yes, they weren't that naive anymore. Treyen had learned not to believe everything he heard. That's why he thought of research so greatly. However, that one Pierre Devereaux was a very smart fellow. Wherever he is.
"I know that, but they seem not to know....perhaps is we hinted it to them," he was only getting a couple ideas, once he'd figured how to get the answers, then he'll let Arya know for sure. "I think I have a couple of people we could get answers from." But he didn't say. Because he wasn't seeing the full plan in his head.
The conversation was so changeable. It came from laughter to serious stuff, to...laughter again, apparently, thanks to those nudges.
See? They were still kids.
Then Treyen smiled again. He shouldn't have said the word 'News', because there was no news to tell, or...actually, they were some kind of news. Ah. Never mind. He'd spent a couple seconds trying to figure out a way to 'spill' it to Arya. And she could get restless if he said nothing.
He looked around first, but since there were people around, then he said only one thing to see if Arya got the hint, "You were right. What we talked in the Common Room, yes, you were right." He nodded towards the Ravenclaw table, anyway, because they talked too much about many things, it was quite possible that Arya had no idea what he was talking about.

This band was gonna be big! Or maybe not... maybe some of the professors were groupies with Lafay? And band managers, the band needed those as well. She thought about this for a moment with a wide grin.
And laughing. She was still laughing with Treyen. The matching outfits was just hilarious, especially considering how old they were. They probably wore leather pants, and tight t-shirts. "Really, how?" She pondered on this for as long as she could before coming up with a plan of her own. "We could camp out on the seventh floor under the disillusionment charm!" She whisper shouted. Hehe.
She could get Ivory to bring them snacks while they waited for the professors.
"I think hints are good, and their smart so they're bound to pick up on them quickly." She didn't have any ideas that she liked, mainly because she didn't think they'd work on the professors. But she had all summer to think on them. "Who do you have in mind?" She wanted to know.
This conversation did seem to change without so much as a blink, proving just how young the pair still was even though they were older.
Forever the big kids they were.
She didn't know why he was looking around like that. Did he not want everyone to know this news? Was it a secret? Had to be. It took her a moment to realize just what he was hinting to, but when she DID understand her eyes lit up and she threw her arms around him with a squeal. "Yay! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" She wasn't gloating, she was just SO happy for her best friend.

Whatever Arya was thinking about was worth knowing, because the grin on her face proved it to be a hilarious thought.
Everything was. The band, the groupies, the outfits. It was all a very good...way to make fun of the Professors, whilst believing it to be possible. Because it was, possible, yes, however...was it real? That's what they didn't know, and he didn't have a way of finding it out on his own...except...
...no, Arya, don't ask that yet!
"I don't know how....yet." You know, Treyen didn't have all the answers. But then he listened to her suggestion and grinned. "We have to start practicing right away too!" The band needed to practice their songs, and they needed to practice the charm!
Oh, he was sooo hoping that it was real. The band.
Treyen nodded next. Yes, hinting was very important. The thing is, he didn't know how, he was usually pretty straight forward, so, hinting was a challenge, in his case. The boy wasn't planning on telling Arya who, but since she asked..., "Oh, well, Magnus is very nice...and talkative," there was a smirk on his face, "We both get along with Zookara...," Ducks FTW! "...and Mr. Stryker knows a thing or two." About EVERYTHING. Like, seriously. "He taught me how to do this," the boy took out his wand and with a sweeping motion he focused on that glass of water over there and, "Glacius!" it was a glass of ice, instead of water.
"I can focus on larger things now." Because he'd practiced it so much. Brilliant boy.
Oh, no. The squealing! Arya was such a girl. He couldn't help to smile and accepted the...hug? Sort of, yes. Yet, he shook his head, "You lie. You didn't know, you said you weren't sure." True. Right? Right.
"But, yeah, now you know, so...," what? Did she think he was going to say something more? "...shush." Why was she so happy, though? Sure, he finally figured it out, but...now what?

One word Treyen, "Leather pants." Okay, two. Two words that she couldn't keep to herself. She giggled again. "I bet they wear them." They probably looked hilarious, at least it did in her mind.
Arya was starting to believe that this band was actually real. And how could it not be? Everything they said was perfectly logical, and she bet their super smart professor's knew how to play some instruments or at least sing.
...or be groupies.
"We do!" She already knew how to cast the charm, just not on another person or herself. It would take some work, but she was willing to try if it meant she'd get to see The Tatertots in leather pants. "As soon as we get back next term. No! today." Okay, maybe not today. Heh.
Arya nodded her head as he spoke, agreeing with every word. Magnus is very nice, and who didn't like rubber duck loving Zookara? And Stryker did seem pretty smart for a groundskeep, not that Masterson wasn't smart. Watching him cast the charm, Arya gave a nod and grin of approval. "That's awesome, Treyen!"
Totally reminded her that she needed to practice her charms more.
Yes, she was squealing because she was a girl, and Treyen had to deal with that and everything that came with having a girl for a best friend. She gave him another hug, before releasing him, a wide grin spread across her face. "True, but I was close to being right." Which was almost the same as being right, which was right to Arya.
Total logic her way of thinking.
Ohhh, he didn't want know one to know yet? That was cool, she gave him that knowing look and nodded her head. "We can talk more about it later." She spoke in a low to so only he would hear. They would totally talk about it over roasting marshmallows.

That had been the BEST thing Arya had said so far! 'Leather pants'. He was having a hard time trying to picture them all in leather pants, but Kingsley sort of made a quick appearance on his mind an that was all he needed to be laughing OUT LOUD again.
It was brilliant! Simply brilliant!
"Oh, I do hope they have their band!" And that they manage to catch them on their way to practice or something, because that would make his life. Seriously. HIS LIFE.
And then...
...GRIN.
Yes, he'd managed to get the spell right, though, he knew he wasn't at Mr. Strykers level, not even close. So, Treyen couldn't freeze part of the lake at the moment...but...soon, very soon.
The hug, he didn't mind it. Because it was very Arya-like, and at least he'd gotten used to them, but, the happiness? He wasn't even THAT happy. Was there something he was unaware of? Considering Arya knew him better than himself...
Oh. Yes, fine, Arya, you were close. Treyen chuckled, "That...I can't deny." There was a couple nods and THEN he had to keep his hearing to the max because Arya was talking really low. Ha. No. "But there's nothing more to discuss." He shrugged. Was there something MORE to tell? Nope.

"I hope they have their band too!" It would just be too awesome. And it would explain what the professors did in their free time. Did they even have such a thing? She wasn't sure.
SEE? She was soooo close, much closer than anyone else if anyone else knew. Which they had to if she sorta did. Arya grinned. "Good."
And then she was rolling her eyes. Of course there was nothing else, because Treyen was such a guy. "Fiiine, but when there is something else, let me know." Like if Ellie knew OR if he was going to tell her if she didn't know.
That something else, Treyen.

Giggle. "I missed you too." Even though it'd only been a day, she'd missed her best friend. Arya made a slight face. "Trust me, you don't EVER have to worry about me going away." Not for that crazy fat man. She hoped to never see him again.
And if she did go... "I'll take you with me if I do leave again though." Pause. "And Tate." Sabel was leaving her, so she couldn't bring him, but she sure could meet him there.
With a big over dramatic huff, she turned her eyes back to the food, distractedly scanning the table for something to eat. "TERRIBLE. Absolutely horrific."
She was about to go into greater detail when a smaller Puff joined them...
...And offering her strawberries.
It was sweet... but she was done with fruit for the day. Smiling at the boy, she shook her head politely. "No thanks, I think I'll go with the pizza."
Which looked sooo good to her right now. Picking up a slice, she considered it before speaking to Treyen again. "The only reason he had us come was to sing to everyone." She glanced at her friend. "I didn't sing" Obviously. "But some of the Griffidors did." Cause they were GRIFFINDORS.
Preston nodded his head, flashing her a Turner trademark goofy smile in the process as he placed the bowl back down on the table and picked up his fork. He gave a small sigh, not exactly sure what to say now, he had kind of awkwardly joined into the conversation, and he didn't even know what they were talking about.
After taking a few bites out of his fruit, he cleared his throat, "I-I-I d-don't th-think we've m-met." He started, slightly unsure of himself, maybe they had met and he had just forgotten. How embarrassing would [i]that[i/] be? "I-I'm P-P-Preston." He added on, trying not to sound any where near lame.
SPOILER!!: Treyen

See? That's why they couldn't be apart for too long. The boy had no idea how Sabel will be dealing with it, but he better do it somehow. And if the three Badgers were together, well, sorry Sabel. The Gryffindor better bring Kellen along.
Oh! And then the one the girl was talking with was talking to him. Preston raised his eyebrows at the boy as he picked the bowl back up. "G-g-go for i-it." Preston said holding the bowl out across the table once more.
Why so serious over a bowl of fruit?
"I-I'm n-n-not hold-holding you b-b-back f-f-from eating y-you're f-f-fruit." Preston said with a chuckle, surely that wasn't the [i]only[i] bowl of fruit on that section of the table.

Nod. Nod. Of course! It would be beyond awesome! Though, bittersweet if you really thought about it. The lead singer could've oh-so-easily been Carlton, and she was no longer there. The manager position was now empty, because Kingsley was soooooo their manager.
"Our Head of House is the lead singer," and he had the goofiest smile on his face, "I bet she is." Because she was the prettiest of all the female Staff members at Hogwarts. And he was completely and absolutely positive that her voice was just...incredible.
She looks like an angel already, chances are she also sings like one.
Okay. First things first. "I don't get the rolling of the eyes thing...," and he gestured towards her face, "...but, of course, I will most certainly let you know. Cross my heart and everything." And he did. With his right hand.
Dramatic.

"Oh, no, you're not." Certainly not. Haha. Now that was a brave Hufflepuff. If the stutter wasn't there, that is.
He was kind of reminded of Jake on his early days.

Giving him one of her trademark Arya smiles, the one she gave everyone, when he introduced himself. "I don't think we have either, I'm Arya. Rising fifth year." That felt weeird to say.

"Why, does she sing?" Ayra had never gotten the change to get to know their HoH what with her also being the school healer and all. So obviously she was wondering if her friend knew something about the woman that she didn't. Did any of their other professors know how to sing?
She pondered that thought for a moment.
She grinned and giggled at him. "Your not supposed to get the rolling of the eyes thing." Really, she hadn't expected him to get it. His crossing of the heart had her giggling again. "Good, and not through the grapevine either. I want the news to come straigt from YOU." Nod.
"...Or Ellie."

It wasn't until now that he started to wonder if Preston knew him, because he could so easily recall meeting the younger Hufflepuff.
Treyen was about to ask him...eh, no, not really, but Arya's comment made him...blink. Surely, the fourth year knew that their fifth was next year, they'd been even talking about OWLs and stuff, but hearing her say so was just...different.
It made him feel different.
Huh? What? Who sings?
Ooooh, Moretti? "I don't know, she just has an amazing voice, don't you agree?" Haha, and he was holding THAT smile again. Arya visited the Healer this year, no? To welcome her into their House? Yes? Treyen would be very disappointed if she didn't.
Haha. WHAT? He was not supposed to? Well, then, okay, because he didn't get it. He still didn't. And probably never was, because she failed to enlighten him. Mean Arya. The boy took the glass of water!ice from before and frowned. It was still in solid from, and he wanted water...Mr. Stryker never told him how to change it back, did he? Well, that could be changed, he only needed to pay the man another visit.
Whatever.
He took another glass as Arya continued to talk, and started to drink it, only to start coughing as SHE said the name. Dear Gilderoy! Was Arya going to make him choke right NOW. After a few more coughs he was okay and chuckled before eying her curiously, "Ellie? Why would she know? She doesn't know, I think, and I'm not planning on telling her either." Not yet, anyway. Though, he hadn't considered that part AT ALL.
Sure, he liked her.
And then what? He was content with spending time with her, so, Ellie didn't need to be aware of his feelings, right?

Ummmm. "I don't know? I guess? We haven't had a chance to talk much." Like she ever had time to speak to the school's healer. Yeeeeah, she wasn't gonna tell Treyen that she had yet to greet the woman yet either. She didn't want LOOKS from him, she'd just try again next year.
But, wait? Why did he have that LOOK. Not the one she didn't want him to give her, but the one that made it seem....? Arya gave him a suspicious look in return but said nothing.
"Why are you frowning at the water?" Was it suppose to do something else that she didn't know? Her freezing charm never did anything else after being cast for a while.
Hmm.

Maaaybe she shouldn't have said Ellie's name while he was going to take a sip of another glass of water. But it was his fault, HE should have warned her... or something like that. Grinning AFTER she'd made sure he was alright, she shrugged. "She'll know eventually... when you DO tell her." And she was more than confident that he would tell the young Ravenclaw.

Oh?
Treyen shrugged. YES, the boy let it go, he could understand the fact that Arya hadn't talked much with the Head of House, after all, she didn't like the Hospital Wing AND she was barely in there anyway.
But good thing for Arya, she'd visited the Healer at the very least.
He didn't even realized what he was doing until his friend mentioned it. Haha. It was kind of funny, though, frowning at the water. There was a smile on his face as soon as he noticed and then his eyes were on the girl. "I don't know how to turn it back." A soft laugh made an appearance. How silly of him, he knew how to ice the water, but had no way of knowing how to undo it. A simple 'Finite' would have to do it, no?
Well, he didn't have time to try it, because Arya was talking again, and couldn't help but blush even more. Honestly. Arya was making him think of what he hadn't before, and he neither wanted such a thing to happen nor wanted to do it. There. That's why he whispered next, "There's always a chance she figures it out on her own." Which is the option he liked the most, never mind how much of a coward it made him sound like.
