"My uncle told me about a time when all the professors were cursed into acting like kids. But that was a long time ago."

"Ohh You would love if that last one happened again."
*He knew that Mia's love for nature would welcome a change into an animal. Thinking about it he wouldn't want to be an animal.*
"If you could change into an animal what would you want to be?"

Hehe...

Mia hadn't heard about that one. She would had loved to be around when the Professors were acting like kids. That would have been so much fun.

At Matty's question, Mia smiled and didn't hesitate in her answer. "Definitely a bird. Doesn't matter what kind so long as it's a flying one." Because there were birds that couldn't fly, you know? "It would be so cool to fly through the air, high up into the clouds. That would be excellent."

She grinned at Matty and raised her eyebrows. "Would you ever want to change into an animal and if so what would you be?"

*Matty screwed up his face and shook his head. He would not want to be an animal. But he did have a favorite animal. It might not be to bad to be that.*
"No... but if I had to be one I would pick... a hawk. Like you said flying, and it's strong and fast."

Reentering the common room, Emmaleigh picked up her bag. She sighed as she reached in and grabbed some parchment, a quill and ink. She sat down at on of the tables and began to write.



She folded the parchment in half, and placed it one the bag Michael had left when he fled from the room. With that, she took her things and headed to bed.

"That's cool," Ava Jade commented. "No, I don't have any siblings here right now. I have two older ones who have already graduated, and then a younger brother who'll be coming soon, but it's just me right now."

*Looking over Matty saw the little second year come in and write a note. He was about to say hello but wasn't sure if she was still mad. She may be younger but Matty knew not to mess with that Hufflepuff.*

He smiled, "It isn't mine either," but then he grinned a bit before explaining a bit further. He shifted in the sofa for it was a whole more comfortable to look at Conan this way, "You see, Conan, in a way...only in a way...we're like superheroes, or villains, it all depends on what you do, or what you don't do" whether focusing your power to become the Master of the World or not, everyone is a villain at some point or another, "we have something special, otherwise you wouldn't be here," and that was true, "Maybe you don't see it just yet, but magic exists," and they all have powers, somehow, actually...Treyen had no powers, all he had was his wand, "Like those superheroes in comics, they could be real too, I just haven't found one yet."

They boy was still unsure whether it'd be nice for Conan to see the elves at work, but if he was going to the kitchen, then he was bound to find at least a dozen of them.

"I see," he smiled, "We can go now, if you want," to the kitchens, of course! If the boy was hungry, then it was best to take care of that, no?

"Yeah." Mia said with a blissful sigh. "Just imagine how free you would feel being able to go anywhere at anytime you liked." Man, she so wanted to be a bird right now. No more schoolwork, no responsibilities, not that she really had any responsibilities anyway.

She looked at Matty and smiled. "Maybe I shoud learn how to become an animagus."

Pfft...yeah right! She was likely to set herself on fire.

"Maybe but with you and your wand work... but I have a better idea." *Jumping up he held a hand out to her.*
"Lets go fly."
*He had a way of flying. It wasn't really flying but other then a broom it was the next best thing.*

Oh what a smart aleck.

Before she could say anything, however, he was jumping off the couch. Mia gave him a perplexed look.

"What?"

How on earth were they going to fly? She eyed his hand warily before placing her own into his and pulling herself to her feet. "I hope you know what you're doing."

*Matty just rolled his eyes and took them to the common room door. Opening it he gave her a smirk.*
"Remember Mia I am the smart one out of the two of us. Trust me."
*With that he went off at a run to the lake.*

Her feet were killing her. All day she was walking around this place from class to class. She looked to the comfy chair and hoped it was empty. It was and she made her way to the chair and plopped down in it. Hoping no one would want the chair. She looked around, smiled at a few classmates and then looked back to her bag. Maybe she would do some painting or drawing. Pulling out her pad and pencils she began to draw a student that was sitting in a corner alone. She kept looking up to the girl and then back to the pad.

*Running into the common room he went to the couch and laid out leaving no room for her.*
"Beat you... I thought you would be fast for your size."

"Just because a person is slim does not mean they are fit. And I am certainly far from being fit."

Poking her tongue out at him, Mia pushed his legs off the couch and sat down, still huffing a little from that run. "I think you should get the hot chocolates." Especially since he threw her into the lake and all.

"Yes mum." *Matty said with a laugh. Getting up he went down to the kitchens for a few minutes. Coming back he had what looked like a paper bag in his hand.*
"Boy I love magic. Look at what the elves gave us."
*Blowing some air in the bag he smashed it on the table, but not hard. There was a loud pop and the bag was gone. Now there were two cups of hot chocolate and a small plate of cookies in front of them.*

"How wicked is that?"

Emmy giggled at her friend's expression, then replied, "Oh, same really - trying to find old friends to catch up with..."

Watching his facial expressions, Mia couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Totally wicked." She said picking up one of the cups and taking a small sip. When she pulled the cup away, she had milk froth on the end of her nose.

*Taking his cup as well he was about to drink then saw that she had stuff on her nose.*
"Umm... you got something..."
*Matty patted his nose and laughed a little knowing he looked odd acting it out.*

She was sitting there with her book in her hand trying to get some reading done but that wan't going to work. There were people playing and jumping on furniture. She grabbed her bag and head out of the common room. She glanced back before exciting the common room. "Some people" she muttered under her breath.

*Matty was about to get up and clean the spot for her if she didn't get it but the notebook in his back pocket got ice cold then fire hot. Pulling it out his smile grew. It was his uncle.*
"Sorry, my uncles writing me."
*Pulling out his wand he wrote back and then closed it. He loved his pocket notebook. A way to keep in contact with his very busy aunt and uncle.*
"These are so cool. Ever seen one?"

Effy walked into the common room and sat down at an empty table. She pulled her book bag onto the table and reached in to pull out a text book and accidently pulled out her sketchbook too. She fidgeted with the Claddagh ring that her parents had given to her before she left for Hogwart as she tried to decide what to do. She should probably study, but the idea of drawing was much more tempting. Effy shoved her Transfiguration book to the side and opened her sketchbook. Pulling out a pencil, which she had gotten from the muggle world, she began to draw on a blank page.

*Rubbing his eyes Matty walked down from the boys dorm to the common room. Pulling his pack over his shoulder he went up to the great hall for some morning breakfast. It was going to be a long day of learning. Seeing that he had a few minutes to kill he sat by the fire resting.*

Jaina sat down in a chair near the fire. She had in her hands 2 letters--one from her parents and one from her best mate. Well, she thought, here goes nothing.

She opened her parents up first:


Well, that's them. She wasn't surprised. They just wrote to let her know they were alive and she had to return to them and their prison after school. Maybe Joshua's would be better:


Yep, you can definitely see the difference between her parents and her best friend. Her parents didn't want her around because she was chaos. Her best friend thought she was fun because she was chaos. She felt she was missing something though she was not sure what it was just yet.

*Finding a seat on the couch next to the fire Matty pulled out some parchment, his potions and charms textbook. With a deep sigh he got to work on his homework. Writing down his work he started to nod off. After a few minutes he fell asleep on his work getting ink all over his face.*

Effy saw a boy sleeping on the couch as she walked into the common room. She quickly realized that he had fallen asleep doing homework; the ink was going to smudge all his hard work! Not to mention the stains it would leave on his face.
With a concerned frown she walked over and hesitantly nudged the boy's shoulder. "Hey," she whispered, "Umm excuse me. Wake up, please."
