Wizard stories?!?! Oh boy! Jaina thought. She was excited now. She thought about which stories she knew that had wizards in them. "Um, how about The Sorceror's Apprentice or The Hobbit?" she asked. She was also trying to remember te one Ben was telling her about. "Is there one about 2 students from different houses that fall in love?" She couldn't remember the houses!

Jake opened his mouth to answer, but to his surprise!annoyance!somethingelse, he found himself pipped to the post... by someone who said them all.
Ooooookay.
But he wasn't annoyed, he just focused on something else. "The Warlock's Hairy Heart is my favourite... has been for a long long time. A lot of people don't like it."
... did that kid just mention Grumble the Grubby Goat?

Belle heard all the class recite all the tales in the book, so why bother saying them all? She just loved the story of the tale of the three brothers and babitty rabitty and the cackling stump, hopefully the professor might read them a tale. She was excited.

"Very right. Cass, it is a wizard's story book. I'm sure many of your classmates are familiar with it."
"Yes, misfortune can be found in this book as well. But don't let that deter you from what you might learn from inside it."
Glancing at the cover briefly, she nodded. "Looks can be rather deceiving though. One shouldn't always judge a book by it's cover or a person by what they look like."
"Old, yes. But I don't think it so creepy."
SPOILER!!: My little smarties ♥
"Two points to all of you. Yes, it is The Tales of Beedle the Bard. An old rare version, but not an original version I'm afraid."
To get her hands on an original would be amazing, but she would make due with the version she had. It wasn't something to sneeze at either.

Charley leaned over and gave Belle a hug, since they had a small break in class, as neither of them cared to bother to name the tales while the other students were.
"The Tale of the Three Brothers is my favourite, what about you?"

Kurumi turned around to look at the two Hufflepuff girls that always seemed to be chatting with each other each class. She understood the excitement that Hogwarts provided, especially as a first year, but did they really need to talk so much? She was here to learn and was almost tempted to use the term Selina used when talking about Hufflepuffs.
"Um...do you guys mind saving your conversations until after class?" she asked politely in a low whisper being reminded of Transfiguration.

Oh! How nice.. Erm.. Let's see..
"Professor, I have to say that my favorite has to be The Fountain of Fair Fortune. But I also have also enjoyed reading The Tale of the Three Brothers and The Warlock's Hairy Heart." she smiled as she lowered her hand. Of course there was not Happily ever after in the last story she mentioned...

"I believe the stories in the book are: The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump, and The Tale of the Three Brothers. But as I am half blood and heard tales from both sides I may have forgot some." Cass tried to sound sure but he was not fully sure he had remembered them all.

All the storys Emily could remember had been said, but she piped up anyway. "My favourite was The Tale Of Three Brothers and my sisters was The Fountain of Fair Fortune."
That's right. She'd brought her sister into this.

Jaina thought since someone mentioned rabbits, maybe there were other fairy folk in them. "Maybe there is Sleeping Beauty in there! That one was my favorite!" she said. she thought it was written by Brothers Grimm...but maybe Beedle was related somehow!

"The Deathly Hallows? I think the family did, yes, I don't think it was him personally, but the Weasleys as well. He had the cloak; his father James did as well. However he destroyed the Philosopher's stone his first year, and came to have the Elder wand, in his seventh. So I suppose he did have them all, but not recently, nearly a century ago. His third year at Hogwarts was eighty years ago!"

"I've heard of that and it's definitely not in there. You'll have to learn these now; I don't suppose you've ever been read them. I'd be happy to do the honours of the ones we don't read here; I brought my copy. Not as bedtime tales of course, as I'm not allowed in your common room, but we could relax by the lake some times."

The war was so long ago, the late nineties, but the entire family must relish life just so much more than most others do."

"The only tales in this anthology are, with reason, those written by Beedle the Bard. That's why it is the Tales of Beedle the Bard. There are dozens and more stories about magical creatures, but the only ones in here are his. I've heard of those too; my dad's muggleborn, I do believe I've told you. Leather bound journal open before her, Ivory carefully jotted down the different story names in neat bullet points. Nodding along with the replies around her, she rechecked her list. Yup, it seemed she'd gotten them. Her smile a little wistful, she underlined The Fountain of Fair Fortune. She had many fond memories of that tale. It was the first story she'd ever read aloud as a young child complete with stuttering stops and lisps.
Picking up the journal to blow on the still drying ink, her attention was turned from the Professor for a moment at the sound of tittering voices. With a glance towards the source, Ivory straightened up in her seat, lips parting to gently chide the young Hufflepuffs when Kurumi came to the rescue.
With an approving nod at the girl's polite and tactful method, she turned back to her notes smiling making a mental note to chat with the girl later on. She'd been meaning to congratulate her on the Most historical costume award, but hadn't bumped into her since the Tea Party. Maybe she'd have the chance after class.

Turning back to her notes as she tried to attentively summarize each story in a few quick words in case the Professor asked it next of them, she didn't hear the slight buzzing of continuous conversation until a third voice joined in. Remembering a few past times when other professors had taken points for less, she cringed internally.
Dark eyes leaving the page to glance at the three girls, she brought up a slim finger to her lips in the universal 'Let's hold off on the get together plans and chitchat till later' sign. Or well, that's at least the look she tried to get across. She hadn't quite gotten the hang of purposeful prefect looks. They were talking about the subject at hand albeit in a very, very round about way but nevertheless, best to be safe. They surely didn't want points taken from their house, right?

Charley nearly broke into a fit of laughter.
She reposed herself. "I'm sorry."
"First things first, that is his title, not his name. Bard is another word for poet or author. Second, his tales are written for morals, not happy endings. The Warlock's Hairy Heart is quite gruesome and does not end well, and The Fountain of Fair Fortune is not that pretty either. As I've told you before, the Wizarding World is a touch different than the non-magical world."

"Sorry," Charley mouthed to the older girl, and told Jaina and Belle that they would need to resume their conversation at a later time.

Chloe then raised her hand and responded to the professor saying, "I rather like the wizard and the hopping pot for its teaching that helping ones neighbors is both a necessary and wonderful thing", Chloe responded within a smile.
