What a pity the blonde didnt want to be the new minister. She would sooo change a lot about the laws and atuff that was goin on.First of all that statute. But no she wanted to be an auror, that was her dream for like since she could think.

Selina nodded along with Fee's point. It was valid, but the issue with the Statue was every side was vaild. No argument was stronger than the other. It was merely an issue of relativity.

When the question was adressed to her Selina replied, "Oh. Well, um, I think that we should keep the Statue in place. But I also think we could help the Muggle race. We can still, with all of our abilities, help our fellow man without being known to them. There is, in my opinion, a reason why we went into hiding. Not everyone is going to react negatively to the uncovering of wizards... but all it takes is one."

"Ok then. Actually looking at the questions I don't know them all. So we could discuss them together and write them on our own." she looked at the two girls. "My hand writing's really messy..." She wished it was neater.

"So err guys, for the homework it said that only one of us have to add the group work part into it and we would all get credit. Should I put it in my homework? Or would you guys like to include it in yours?"

"Yeah just include it in yours then" she smiled "As long as we all get credit!"

"Ah alright! and i can write it down if you want because my hand writing is neat." she implied as she showed her handwriting on the paper. "I can write the outline." she smiled. "Alirght what shall i write down first?" she asked.

"Ah, very nice!" She smiled, looking at Annabelle's handwriting.
"Well 'In your own words, what is the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy?'" Emily read off the board "Mabye we should start there?"
Or not. Whatever.

"Well I think... that it's a law that says that we can't expose our selves to muggles, as being wizards at least." Nika tried her best to answer the question.

Belle heard her answer. "Yeah i agree with that answer without a doubt!" she smiled and wrote it down on the paper with her quill. "Hmm what next to write." she said.

Nika glanced at her paper. "The next question asks about the statute. When and why it was first introduced." She started to scribble some on her parchment then looked at her friends. "TADA!"
SPOILER!!: Group Homework

Our group decided that the Statute is still needed. Although with the Statute muggles and wizards would be able to help each other it's a big risk to take. The statute was made because muggles try to take advantage of wizards for their powers and also there is a risk of wizards using their powers to harm muggles. In our opinions it's still as effective as it once was because everyone is taking such precautions and we have not exposed magic as a whole. Muggles may get lazy because they realize that magic is a more officiant way of getting things done and they might try and use us for our magic. My group thinks it's better off if we don't expose magic to muggles because it may risk a war between muggles and wizard kind. And we haven't had a problem with the Statute being in place and it's been working so long.

She smiled as she held up the piece of parchment for her friends to see. "So what do you guys think? Did I leave anything out?"

"Unless we attacked them they would most likely fight us and kick us out sending us back into hiding again."

Nerida looked over at Emily and said I also believe that muggles and wizards/witches are to diffrent for us just to revill everything..After talking to her group memebers she wrote down her awnseres to part 1. She quickly added Umm..Which one of us will be submitting the Group Homework?

Quote:

Name:Nerida Faye Eventide
House/Year: Ravenclaw and First
Lesson: History of Magic 1

Part Two: (worth 6 points)

With your groups (or if you choice to work alone) please outline an argument for or against the Statute in the present day. Is it still effective as it was when it was first established and is it still needed now?. Please site examples to support your argument.

Nika turn as pink as a strawberry and giggled. "I don't see how it could be. I'm muggle born. Besides I only wrote down what we discussed."

Sylvie made her rounds through the class as she stopped to listen to each of the groups. It sounded like most of the groups were doing rather well with the group work. That, of course, pleased her a lot.

Walking back up to the front, she leaned against her desk.

"Class, I think I have given enough time for everyone to get a good start on the assignment. You may finish outside the class. Finish up and grab another treat is you want before you leave. Class is dismissed now."

OOC: I will keep the thread open for a few more hours so that you may all finish up what you can. I have errands to run and all, do use this time wisely.
