Gryffindor Study Tables
 

Heather sat down at the Gryffindor study tables and pulled out some books. She quite enjoyed being as busy as she was but her diligence had it's limitations. She looked out the window and was thinking of happy she was knowing that things were alright between her and Derian. Heather picked up a quill and studied it quizzically. "Hmm..." She whispered.

Adam looked at the study tables. Those were his nightmares, and the danger zone for him in the common room. Sitting here meant he'd actually attended class and had homework due in. Hesitating a bit at the chair he took a seat across a girl who was much smaller and had black hair.
"I won't bother you. I'm just studying stuff ,here."

"Feel free to bother me. It's not like I have anything better to do." She said smiling. "So did you finally decide I didn't bite, or were just so desperate to study that you looked past the fact that it was me, Heather, sitting across from you?" She gave a sly smile and looked at him.

"I'm not really trying to study either- just wishing for someone to distracte me ...
I barely noticed you that day. I was too taken over the fact that Legend has the last name chosen. Legend Chosen.To be honest-Heather,"He pronounced her name very clearly so that she didn't feel like he surely forgot her name,"I barely even remember who you are? Do I know you from one of my friends?

"Well, I met Katie, Luke, and Valerie on the train. And his name interested me too at first, though Adam Burn is quite intriguing as well." Heather said. "Alright let's start out with the basics. Tell me a bit about yourself."

Adam kept his head calm, so maybe Katie hadn't said anything of him to Heather.Thinking a while he answered,"My name , said from last to first has a James Bonds sound to it. Burn, Adam Burn.I'm 13- only child born on July 15.I'm a decent drummer with a decent voice, I'm trying out for quidditch in a few days...You?"He asked turning the tables.

"Pureblood, but I've pretty much lived with muggles until now. Eleven- only child, I can sing, and I'm trying out for quidditch too." Heather said.

Kurumi laid all her notes from classes last term out on the desk in front of her. She had each of them in color coded binders and had spent most of her summer rewriting everything. Sometimes her hand writing during class could be a little too messy. She was almost done with rewriting her notes from Transfiguation, so she decided to finish writing those off before giving them all another read through.

Ahh, finally a study buddy for Adam. He quickly walked over there and pulled himself a chair and said.
"I love going to class- it's actually more fun than trying to figure out which part of the grounds I would go to for skipping classes."He told Kurumi, in a cheerful tone.

Kurumi looked up from her notes, thankfully she had just finished a sentence, so her jumping had not ruined the page, and saw Adam with a big goofy grin on his face. "I told you so," she smiled starting on the next sentence in her notes. "Had you gone to classes more last year, you would have a better chance of making the team too. Or so I have heard. At least you are now though." She finished the sentence and looked up again. "And, um, sorry about that flying piece of wood in Ancient Runes," she blushed. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah well I decided even if I don't make it on the team, there's a reason for school- and I kept thinking all summer I won't be going to some magical college will I-gotta take the chance.

Oh yeah- little red bruise..."he pulled his hair up a bit to show a small road bump on his forehead."But it's just a bruise nothing that hurts..."

"I'm glad no permanent damage was done," she smiled looking at the small bump. At least the professor had come around to calm her down a bit. Kurumi really didn't need the added emotional stress at the moment. She was having plenty of that. "I can make you another ice pack if you need..."

"Deary I'm fine."He said. He had never seen Kurumi so worried over a little bump he had on his head. And he knew it wasn't intentinal of her- she had told everyone to watch out- so half of it was his fault.
"What are you studying?"He asked.

Kurumi breathed a slight sigh of relief. At least she hadn't managed to cause Adam any memory loss or something. "I'm glad you are OK," she smiled. "At least you're not mad at me about it." Unlike the cookie dough and birds incident in the kitchen. "I'm not really studying," Kurumi laughed turning over one of the pages of her old notes. "I'm, well, rewriting my notes from last term."

Adam found no purpose to what she was doing.
"Why are you writing your notes from last term it's not like you're going to need it for new material this term- sometimes you don't make any sense to me.."He said shaking his head.

"What are you talking about?!" Kurumi squeaked in response to Adam's comment. "Magic is like wisdom - partly a natural gift and partly the accumulation of experience." She said as she finished off yet another page. "If you don't remember the the spells and concepts, you wouldn't make a very good wizard," she teased playfully.

Lexi was not impressed with how her term was beginning. Sighsighsighsigh. Dragging her bag behind her she, paying no attention to who was there, plopped herself down into a chair at the Gryffie study tables. She REALLY needed to brush up on defensive spells as well as offensive. Sigh.

Digging through the bag she pulled out several DADA books and one book on Defensive spells alone.

all for me ?! *snuggles*
 

Kurumi felt someone sit at one of the tables across from her and she looked up for just a moment, well, long enough for a small gasp to escape her lips as she saw the girl she had attacked with cookie dough a few days ago. Her body went rigid for a moment and she lost her place in her old Transfiguration notes. Scrambling to find her place again, Kurumi managed to knock over her pile of rewritten Defense Against the Dark Arts notes. They scattered all over the floor and a few fluttered onto the desk of the blonde Gryffindor.

Great, now she was going to think Kurumi was attacking her with parchment.

Lexi was staring at the cover of one of her books, not sure where to start. She was certain that what she needed to know was not in any of those books... but a theoretical knowledge was useful as well. Sighing she opened one of the books and pushed the others out on the table.

Her concentration was broken when she heard a gasp. Ah well. She DID have antlers. Oh well. She paid no mind... then parchment was flying ALL OVER THER PLACE. Really? Sighing loudly she closed the book and looked up. Her eyes fell immediately on the little girl who had to have her birdies set fire to. Curling her lip for a moment Lexi simply looked at her.

"Let me give you a hand," she said after a long pause. Starting to gather up the girl's parchment she thought she should be given a flipppin' medal for being the most awesome Gryffie in the house... Yeah. NOT hexing a second year and NOT shouting... she deserved something.

It was only now that Kurumi took notice of the girl's antlers. Was she an Animagus? If she was, she probably didn't want others to know and walking around with a pair of antlers on her head was a sure way to make others notice that she had special abilities.

Kurumi tried her best not to stare, that wasn't going to help the situation any. "T-T-Thank you," Kurumi whispered as she began picking up her parchment and returning them to her desk. After picking up a few, she stopped and remained motionless for a few moments hugging some of the parchment to her chest. "I'm sorry..." she whispered.

It did not slip Lexi's attention that the girl was staring at the atrocity on her head. Sighs again. It wasn't HER fault they were there. "No problem," Lexi mumbled back to the girl as she pulled her wand from it's holster and levitated the parchment back to where it out to be.

The girl... was staring. Creepertastic. Awww but she was so cute and quiet and obviously frightened of Lexi. WHY were other girls afraid of her? Smiling softly she said, "I heard what you said to Salander... I understand. You have a crush on him don't you? Is that why you did that? I kind of have to say, thank you. You might have stopped me from messing things up even worse." She reached out and patted the little girl on the arm softly.

Kurumi turned the color of a ripe strawberry again and she pulled her hair in front of her face for a quick color check. Phew. No pink or other shade making it's appearance, so that was good.

"C-C-C-C-Crush?" Kurumi managed to squeak through the hair covering her face. Did she have a crush on Salander? She had never really thought about it? She did like him and he had protected her when they were in the Forbidden Forest...but was it a crush? Kurumi wasn't really sure seeing as she had just discovered that whole emotion last term with everything that had gone on. She would have to deal with that reality a little later as what the girl said next made her tilt her head to the side. "Wha-wha-what do you mean?" Although, Kurumi was pretty sure she knew what the blonde was talking about. She had been snogging a different boy when she was caught by her boyfriend.

Lexi smiled as the girl's cheeks turned beetroot red. Silly thing. She gave her a knowing look and shook her head. Then pushing her blonde locks out of her face she sighed again. MAN she was a sighing machine these days. Angst, party of ONE!

Looking at the girl she said, "Well you were there, you saw and heard it all. I don't reckon I need to explain it, do I?" She really hoped not. She didn't particularly want to relive that whole scenario with a second year.

Kurumi looked at all her papers that had now returned to their spot on her study table and looked back at the girl wishing she had some of the 'I'm sorry' cookies she had stayed up almost the entire night before baking. She had intended to give them to all parties involved. Sadly, they were now sitting in a box on her dresser.

Kurumi wasn't really sure what to say next as neither one of them really wanted to talk about what had happened in the kitchen. "C-C-C-Can we, um, can we...start over?" she asked looking up at the older girl through her black bangs. "I-I'm Kurumi."
