"I AM a horrible liar aren't I? But Kurumi acts like I'm not...Anyways.."He said with a vexed look. His parents had written to him and it was not pretty.

Searching through his pants pocket he found a piece of parchment all crumpled up carelessly.

He smoothed it out and handed it to her.



"There. See ...See why I didn't come to try outs. What's the point?!"He said frustratedly, as he slammed the wooden table, making his hand hurt for a while.

Selina let the crubbled piece of paper fall to the table. She sat there in shock as Adam thrust his fists against the table. He was angry- he had every right to be. This was unfair. All of the friendships he had made in the past few years, all that he had learned, all that he had gone through would be thrown away from not only him, but everyone who cared about him because his parents decided.

What on earth could she say? Usually she was very astute and could whip out a reply that set people to ease. But with the letter laying in a jumbled mess on the table she was reduced to speechlessness.

She could not believe this. Her tiny hand reached out and read it once more. It was true, the whole state of the letter was not some bizarre dream that she was being forced into.

All she could do was the one thing Violet always did to make her feel better. She wrapped her arms around him and just held him to let him know she was there. Nothing more could be done in a case like this.

She whispered softly, "Have you told Kurumi?"

A million other thoughts flew through her head, but all she could see were the crushed faces of every person who would be loosing their friend.

Adam could completely agree with Selina's reaction. She was just as mad, and she had the right to, his little sister be like that.

Seeing her like that, her arms wrapped around him, just made him realize how much some friends he had truly loved and cared for him, and now he would have no choice but to lose contact with them.For the first time she was silent and that made Adam's thoughts worse.

After a while he slowly let go of the hug and said,"Thanks."

"No. I haven't told her. Maybe by the end of the school year- she is so busy researching her parents past, that I don't want to burden her with this thought.She is, you have seen, my soulmate.I only have a few months with her, and you...I mean you little sis- I probably have broken your heart revealing this to you."He said saddly.

For the first time in her life Selina was absolutely quiet. As Adam talked and debated with himself all she did was listen. That was all she could do. He needed someone to talk to and family was there for family always.

When he was done she sat there for a few moments composing herself. Finally she knew what she had to say and began, "Stop being angry at yourself. This is not your fault, you did not choose this. Your parents did and as bad as it seems they are doing it because they want you to lead a normal life in their eyes. I am not saying what they are doing is right, but it is what they are doing.

"As for Kurumi... I don't know. I think that maybe keeping this from her would hurt her more when she does find out. At the same time I know you must keep it from her. If she knows the last amount of time you have with her will not be like every other time you two have had. She will try to hard to fit everything in and you don't want her to change.

"And don't worry about me, I'm fine. I mean terribly sad and mad, but you need someone to talk to and I'll be that person always."

She sucked in deep for her final thing. She knew that this would throw him off and perhaps leave him even more conflicted, but she felt it needed to be said, "Adam, if you don't want to go... you can move in with me during the summers. My parents are not lacking financially and when you had mentioned this being possible on the train I wrote my Dad. He said he would be honored to have you. But it is your choice and I won't tell anyone you said no if you choose to say no."

"I guess you have a point. They think what they are doing to me is now normal for them, considering the position I am in."Adam concluded about his parents thoughts.

"Kurumi- I thought of her first when I read this bunch of daisies."Adam said sweetly, smiling to himself, he had thought of the day they had meet in Madame Malkins at the tie rack- odd place to start a friendship but that just was them."I don't want her to know until the end, because I know she will do whatever she can to have me be with her- because she trusts me so much and usually comes to me first whenever something is troubling her. But then again- she wouldn't like the fact of me lying to her all this time, and I think that'll break her heart more, ya know?"He asked in a slangish tone.

As much as nice that sounded, Adam knew he had to be there for his mother, no matter how much hate she had written into the letter. Her and Adam's father lately had been fighting, over nothing, and having Adam's father working double time- in the beautiful land of Mexico City might just destroy her.

"I can't. But maybe I'll visit one summer. Before your O.W.L's so I can distract you SOOOOOO MUUUUCCCCHHHHH"He teased her.

Selina understood where he was coming from with his parents and she could see why he would choose to stay with them. But she wished he had not. Adam had touched so many people at Hogwarts. Even just walking down the corridors you effect someone's life and Adam did far more than just do that. He had friends who cared about him, a girlfriend who loved him, and a little sister who knew life would be much harder without him.

He was the only person she really knew who got her completely. The two seemed to have come from the same place, but were thrown up in the air for a while to give small differences in personality. She cared for him like she had never cared for a boy before. With Demitri it was something deep and attractive, with her father it was respect and admiration, and with Adam it was aspiration. She wanted to be so much like him, in a foolish little sister way. And now he was leaving.

What would Fee say? And Hugo? And Eino? And Kurumi? They were all a group and would be missing the final puzzle piece. After he left it would not be the same.

Fee and Hugo would eventually move on because they have each other. Eino was a free spirit who would always have a special place in his heart for Adam. But Kurumi? The thought shook her to the core. She would never be the same.

"Adam-" She began to protest, but knew there was nothing she could say that would convince him. If she could she would say, who cares about your parents? They don't care about you. But you have people who care about you here, so stay. Leave them behind and be with the people that love you. But he would not take it well. She knew that much. And yet she itched to say it.

"I- I would, um, yeah... I would like that."

Did he himself even realize how big he really was here at Hogwarts. He only had a small close group of true friends, Kurumi, Fee, Selina, Hugo,And Eino. Everyone else were just the friends he could chat about anything, but those first five friends he had thought of, were his life. Most of his time he spent thinking about Kurumi, Selina and Fee.To leave them all behind and just leave them here standing in the dust thinking "Whatever happened to good ol', Burn, Adam Burn. The guy everyone loved to hate because he was random witty and overdramatic, and complex. Whatever happened to him?"

"You really do look up to me don't you?
I don't know. I was thinking of maybe- just finding my own place...You know- head on over to Mexico but one day just get on a plane to London and live out here..."He suggested. The thought had crossed his mind several times today, ever since the letter had arrived.

Selina little sis Skylar."Adam addressed her."My decision is in your and Kurumi's hands. You decide what is best for me."He demanded.

Selina shook her head no. She was not going to choose for him. It was not her life and not her place. And one day she was not going to be around to help Adam make all of his decisions. So she grabbed his hand and placed it on his lap. From there she she shook her head no more profusely.

"I can't make that decision for you. It is yours alone to make. God- I wish I could make it for you. But at the end of the day Adam Burn needs to be content with his decision. Not Kurumi Hollingberry or Selina Skylar... Adam Burn. And I'm not him.

Sighing she pressed forward, "Adam you have a reason to go to Mexico City or you would not have even considered it. I know that much about you. But you also have reasons to stay here. You need to decide for yourself what would be the best place for you to go... Where are you going to be most happy and needed? And that may just be Mexico City, it may just be here. I'm sorry though, I won't decide for you because I can't."

Burn, Adam was beyond mad.
He roughly punched a box of cereal to it's backside, so that a Blue Bird was smiling at him, with it's extra long rainbowed nose sticking halfway out.
"I was just gonna go to Mexico.I think my dad...I think my dad may divorce my mom...But now you are really making me think!"He said stiffly in a semi loud voice.

"Can I at least have your input.Selina- you are so smart and have and have taught me the value of friendship-teach it to me one more time."He pleaded, as he sat hunched over, hands on his chin."But we are siblings...You CAN play me pretty well...We can make a play and I wanna se the decision you guys come up for actor Burn."Adam suggested, though he knew Selina would turn that down.

Selina flinched a little at his outburst of anger, but kept her straight face. Her entire face was calm as he had his rampage. He was upset with his parents this type of action was going to happen over and over again. Anger was a part of venting. So she let him have his moment.

As soon as it had come it was gone. He turned back to her and asked her to give her input. She wanted so badly to scream to him to stay, but he would never be really happy if someone else choose for him. They both knew that much. It had to be his choice and his life like it should be.

"No Adam, I'm not going to pretend to be you... because I'm not you. Because I won't ever be you. Because what I would do for myself, is not what you would do for yourself. Because we are different people with different life experiences and different emotions.

"Your parents are your parents. They may be and seem to be terrible to you. But they are your parents. Now sometimes in a destructive environment you have to break away or have it be destructive in the end to you. And sometimes you have to stay. But that is up to you. It is all up to what you want to do.

"I..." Selina could not believe she was going to give him any objective opinions, "...would go. I would need to make myself happy and serve myself. I would know that my parents did not understand how much I needed this time at this school and would know that they did not understand me anyway... so what would I have to lose...

"But that is me. And I would be selfish, because that choice can be selfish, it not always is but can be. You are dancing a thin line Adam. But you need to jump and go for it.

"The way I see it is you have two choices: Go with your parents to Mexico City and leave Hogwarts. Or move in with my family and leave your parents. In both cases you lose something... which one is worse?"

He swallowed hard.
This was all him.And it scared him to even know he actually thought of this.
"As much as bullies they can be to me...I am...I am going to Mexico City."
There it had been done. He buried himself within his arms, silently crying because he really would miss them all here.Hogwarts was his true and only home, everyone he loved here, loved him back- even if they were sugar crazy.There would never be another Adam Burn type person at Hogwarts.

Selina wanted to cry with him when he decided. She knew of course that he thought he needed to go. His parents guilted him into leaving and they both knew that. He had even said that they were bullies. From just reading the letter she could tell they cared very little where he went or stayed. She just had hoped it would have been Hogwarts.

As he sobbed into the table she hugged his back and rubbed circles into his back whispered utterances of "shh" "it's okay" "It's going to be okay." To the outward eye the scene could have been interpreted in many different ways. But they both knew the truth. That moment was one for mourning. Mourning the loss of Adam Burn and all who had loved him.

"Adam," Selina let out as strong as she could muster, which was not much, "you can always change your mind. You can do it a thousand times. It is your right. But when you do make that final decision, make sure you do it for yourself... no one else. Not your parents, not me, not Kurumi. Okay?"

She knew that his decision at the moment was final, but it would haunt him for the duration of the term. And she would be there to turn the nightmares into pleasant dreams like all good little sisters do.

"Oh you, greedy!" She said jokingly. "Well, for me, I just found this out now. Ok, I'm late. Late in everything." She sighed then stuck her tongue out to him. Her days in Hogwarts seemed to be fun, despite that she would surely get into troubles for not attending any classes. Hopefully not though. "I met a house elf the other day. So cuteee!" She laughed. "Have you seen one lately?"

Her eyes widened. "There are actually ministry people in our school? Whoa. Is he nice by the way?" She usually avoided those kind of people most of the time.

"Y-Y-You, you already met a house elf, really!!!" I thought Kurumi said they didn't appear here in the Great hall, you mean you found the kitchen, I guess" Raven eyes widens in surprise, he like to see some of those house elves but he didn't know how to get in the kitchen, he wake early in the morning, hoping even one of them show up, "Lucky you, Al" Raven say simply.
Raven murmur "The Black guy real name is Ikenna Gevric, but the deputy headmaster gave the nick to the man, back in first day of school, here, in the great hall, fancy to meet him, do you?" Raven leave the question as an option.

She nodded happily. "They don't appear here indeed." She giggled. "I went to the Kitchen the other day and they were there! Yes." She said enthusiastically. "They are very friendly. Not all, but most of them are." She explained. "But of course, you have to be nice at them too." She grinned and took another chocolate fudge from the table. "I'll take you to the kitchen sometime. I'm not sure if I still know the way. I ended up there because I was lost. But it was a good lost actually." She laughed.

"Ikenna Gevric. Ikenna. Sounds like a girl's name." She whispered. She didn't want to get into trouble. She didn't know if just in case the minister could hear her from a very far distance. "If he's cute, I might be interested to meet him." She laughed even harder.

"sound fun, yeah" he replied, "the ministry guy is sharing office in the headmaster office, seem he is very important in the school, today?" I'm planning to visit him, after the D. A. D. A. class" Raven add, but he wasn't sure because Ikea Garlic look like strict and very in-approachable one

Ohhh the Gryffies table.Right now Fee was a little bored and hoped to find any of her friends here.She had so many Gryffie friends, at least one of them should be here, right?! And with thinking of it Rubies popped up in her head.Where was the Gryffie bestie?!The blonde hadnt seen her at Diagon Alley or at the train or even the feast. What was going on?!Hopefully everything was okay and they just kept missing eachother.

Maybe once classes started they would meet up.They actually had to because they went to the same classes,right?!If not fee would be super worried.She missed her gryffie bestie terribly,there was so much to tell her.

Yes, Rubiey was extremely late. She knew she was late for almost everything, and although she didn't think it possible, she despised her Mother even more. Just because she didn't care about Rubiey's magical education, there was no reason to try and pull her out of it. Rubiey finally belonged somewhere, had friends - family, even - and no-one was taking that from her.

Walking into the Great Hall for the first time in a few months, Rubiey felt like a great wieght had been lifted from her chest. She smiled coyly to herself, and at all the new first-years chattering excitedly. That was her last year, how strange. She tucked a strand of reddy-brown hair behind her ear, and glanced around, before spotting a vaiiiiiiiry familiar blonde girl hovering by the Gryffindor Table. Her grin widened and she strolled over to her, and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, I think you're lost... The Snake tables thatta way." She said cheekily, unable to contain her happiness.

Man it was good to see Fee again.

Fee was just sitting by the Gryffie table doing nothing in particular as someone tapped in her shoulder.The blonde actually wanted to scoff at the person for telling her to be a the wrong table but as soon as she turned her head her eyes wiedend. IEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!"Ruuubieeeeeees",the Slytherin jumoped of from her plays squealing,"oh my gooood."Nooo wayyy, was the Gryffie really here? Like for real? This was amazing, they hadnt met for months. Hugging her bestie as tightly as she could the second year still couldnt believe it.They finally were back together.

"Where have you been all the time?",she asked worried,"i wrote you like hundred owls but i never got an answer back."And when the girl hadnt seen her bestie around school she had started to think the worst, what was not cool.Finally Rubies was here again."Neeever",the Slytherin began,"neeeeever leave me for this long again."Now this term could only get more than awesome.Rubiella back together.Hehe.

Rubiey laughed and hugged Fee back fiercely, wincing as she went slightly deaf because of her besties squeal. She literally couldn't remove the smile from her face, everything was so much better now she was here, in Hogwarts, with Fee.

And then the questions came. As Rubiey released Fee, she sat down next to where the blonde had been before, and sighed. "Ughh, when I got back to my grandparents after Germany, my Mum came, and... it got pretty messy. She took me back to hers, she got married, then she told me we were all moving to Austrailia." She said quietly, hoping no-one else was listening. "Obviously my step-dad doesn't know about me being a witch, and I couldn't reply to your letters because I left Gabilan at my gradparents house." God she had missed that owl. He was her lifeline. "I really thought I was never coming back here, Fee. I got so upset - I didn't think I'd see you or Alice or anyone again." She breathed, it still upset her. "We were meant to leave a few days ago, but I was lying in bed and just... packed. And left. I got the Knight Bus, spoke to Taters and he said it was okay, and here I am." She said, smiling. "I won't I swear. It's been dramatic, and something I definately don't want to go through again." She shook her red hair.

"So what's going on with you Fee?!" She asked, smiling at her bestie and looking around the hall. Thank Merlin she was here again. It had never looked so beautiful.

Whaaaat? Rubies nealry wouldnt have come back? This was horrible and Fee almost cried when she thought about it.What would Hogwarts be without her bestie? Noooo fun at all. Gladly she had made it but it must be horrible for her.Embracing her friend in one big hug once again the blonde stroked Rubies hair a little."I am soo glad you are here",she whispered,"you know one day i am going to kill her."How could her mum be like that? It was wonderful that Rubies was a witch and there was no way a stupid woman would destroy this."You are save here Tatertot is going to keep an eye on you and i am going to.",the Slytherin smiled.What counted was that she was here with Fee.Nothing else mattered anymore.

Ohh what was going on with her life? A lot actually.But the second year didnt want to btother her bestie with it, she had enough problems of her own."Well i am single again for 4 months",the Slytherin said softly,"Edmond is a Durmstrang student now.I spend the rest of my summer with an awesome Ravenclaw named Hugo Doyle who helped me a lot and turn out i have almost more guy friends than girl friends now."It was actually weird but guys were cool to hang and soooo funny."And then i had a huuuge fight with Rex",Fee sighed,"and there was already some rumours but i am fine."Yeep fortunately everything had turned out good.At least for now.That was a lot to catch up with.The two needed to meet up more often fromn now on again.

Rubiey nodded and smiled gratefully. She knew that her mother -being a muggle - would never be able to find Hogwarts. She'd have to borrow one of the school owls and send a letter to her Granparents, telling them she was safe and to send Gabilan back to Hogwarts.

Rubiey gasped. "What? What happened? Was it his dad?" The redhead asked softly, rubbing Fee's arm sympathetically. She knew that Fee had really loved Ed, but that his dad was kinda mean. She raised an eyebrow at Fee. "Hugo, eh? Sounds like he's a bit more than just a friend! Spill!" She said, grinning. She could tell by the way that Fee's eyes sparkled as she mentioned him that there were some stronger feelings there, which made her smile more. Fee's happiness meant alot to Rubiey.

The Gryffindor frowned. "Rex? Why?" God she had missed out on alot. How could all of this have happened within a month?! Had she missed out on anything else? "Rumours? What rumours? Who started them?" Rubiey hissed, her blue eyes narrowing to slits. No-one messed with her bestie and got away with it, even if she wasn't there. But she was now, and she'd sort them out. *glareeeeeeee*

Fee nodded a little at Rubies reaction.It had shocked her too.But now she was over it, it was in the past and never coming back."Yes it was his dad",the blonde sighed,"but i am finally okay with it."Had took her months to get a little better.Glaldy she has never been alone.Now it was almost weird not to have Hugo around 24/7.The Slytherin needed to get used to that again.The Slytherin chuckled a little when Rubies had already caught her. That was her best friend."Guess i cant hide anything from you huh?",the blonde laughed,"well he had a crush on me last year but i was with Edmond and then when he broke up with me i've been with Hugo all the time and he kinda made me feel better i dont know if i would be like this without him."He had really cheered her up and it had been insane when they had been to Knockturn Alley.Hah."But i am sure he doesnt like me anymore",she sighed,"and i dont want to ruin our friendship and besides i am not the girl to make a move."This was the very very short version.


"Yeah he was jhealpus because i met someone and he is my best friend now too",Fee tried to explain ,"but its all sorted out again."What an eventful month.If this year was carrying on like it had started it would get interesting.Yes."Dont worry about the rumours",the girl laughed,"it was just about me and Alex being a couple.What of course isnt true."They were best friends and would never in a 100000 years be a couple.

Hugo sat at the Gryffies table, hoping for Adam to come round. Breakfast, most important meal of the day right? He hadn't spoken him in a while. Not to mention Jacky...

Adam trekked into the Great Hall. The least he could do to make others happy was eating-maybe not- he might be too depressed and used eating as a way to make himself feel better, and then he would blow up like a bubblegum.
Anyways as he made his way over to the bench he saw Hugo just sitting there.Adam considered Hugo a very good friend, even if he had only recently just met him.
"Hi Hugo. How are you this morning?"Adam asked, taking a sip of pumpkin juice.
