Selina held back her yawn the best she could when she went to answer. "I promise." But once the final word left her mouth she yawned again. "Sorry. Look can we just talk about something else? I don't want to be focused on sleeping... that is just too wonderful to even begin to think about."

" I told you I am always hungry" Rex told Rowan." I could habe morphed into a cheetah" Rex laughed. "So what are you going to eat?" Rex asked Rowan.


"Well, you could always do some excercise ro take off the weight" Rex told Nika. " I do a lot of swimming and now I am doing some ice-skating, too" Rex said to Nika. " Do not forget, dancing is great for losing pounds and that is why I dance, too" Rex explained to Nika.

" No more on that subject' Rex told Selina." What is your favorite food?" Rex asked Selina.

Selina smiled at Rex, "Food in general. I am a food person." Selina silently thanked Quidditch for her tinier than average frame, if she was not as active as she was Selina would surely be extremely over weight. "How about you?"

"I think I'll have a nice hot bowl of soup," she replied. "How about you Rex? What are you eating?"

" I love all types of food, too" Rex told Selina. "Do you play Quidditch?" Rex asked Selina.

" I like steak, baked potatos, ham, bacon, egss, spaghetti, cake, pie, etc" Rex told Rowan. " You are just having soup?" Rex asked Rowan.

"Well, I might have a big piece of pumpkin pie too," she grinned. "You're not eating that all at once I hope," she teased.

Jamie walked over to the Gryffindor table with a package in her hands. It was wrapped in Ravenclaw colors. She smiled as she approached the table and finally found her sister sitting and talking with Rex. "Hey Rex. Rowan." She smiled at her sister and said, "So I realized you never told ME when your birthday is so here." She handed her sister the present. "Happy-Somewhat late- somewhat early- Birthday!" In the present was a hat that allowed her three wishes. A card that sang an off Key version of Happy Birthday, and a fleece blanket with her name on it in Ravenclaw colors.

"Hi Jamie. A gift for me?" Oh she had forgotten. "My birthday isn't until April. Do I get to open it now?" she grinned mischieviously. She took the beautiful package from her sister. First she opened the card and laughed as it sang Happy Birthday. She opened the package to find a lovely hat and a blanket in her favorite color. "Oh Jamie! I love it! Thank you so much!" She gave her sister a huge hug, restraining herself just enough to not crack her ribs.

"Well of course you can still have it silly goose." Jamie smiled and watched her sisters face as she opened it. She then was hugged and had the breath knocked out of her. "Jeez your strong." She gasped for air and smiles. "I'm glad you love it."

Rowan laughed as Jamie gasped and she let her go. "Sorry," she giggled. She looked at the hat and discovered a tag that said it granted three wishes. "Three wishes, huh? How does it work? Are the wishes permanent, you know, does something last once you wish for it?"

"You're right about that. Going by gut that's how we Gryffindors roll." She chuckled as she continued talking, "I love being a Gryffindor. Definatly my first choice for a house."

"I might go out and play some football or something on the practice field sometimes." Nika remembered playing football everyday with her friends. Boy, she missed those times."I tried ice skating at the lake. And I failed miserably. But it was very fun! I'm just no good at it!"

" No, I will eat it all at twice, twice as fast as you" Rex teased Rowan." Good, you do eat like a real petson" Rex told Rowan. " No, I am going to wat rhe food seperately" Rex said to Rown. " Look, there is Jamie" Rex smiled.

" Hi Jamie" Rex told her. Very nice of you to give Rowan a birthday present" Rex said to Jamie. " I did not know it was yoru birthday" Rex explained to Rowan.

I forgot you call soccer, football" Rex told Nika. " My thing is real American football" Rex said to Nika." You can do good at ice-skating, I know it" Rex explained to Nika.

Jamie smiled and said, "You can wish for three of anything, well almost anything. Nothing bad. They are permant so be careful when you make the wishes or might find yourself in some sticky situations." She smiled ahppily despite the grim matter of the subject. "Oh and be specific because if you wish for cake you never know what you're going to get in or on it." Her mother had gotten the same hat five years ago. Scary stuff.

Jamie smiled, "Well I didn't know when her birthday was and so I just wanted to make sure she got a present. Apparently I had until April."

Rowan laughed. "Okay, Rex. But do me a favor. When you eat all of that please do not get sick on me," she giggled.

Rowan whispered in her sister's ear, "Will it help me better control my morphing?" If it would she knew exactly what she was going to wish for first.

"Oh she is sick?",Fee said a little worried,"thats really sad."Hopefully it wasnt anything serious.Now wasnt the best situation to get sick... Awww he could never forget her, one thing the blonde loved about her best frienbd was that he always made her feel good and welcome."I knooow with me cheering for them there was no way they could have lost",she laughed a little.If there would be a match Hufflepuff vs.Gryffindor th girl would cheer for her best fried's house of course. Yeees."I am not a brat",the blonde pouted,"i just like teasing you."Oh my glitter, was he about to tickle her again? Nooooooo.Hehe. ut then he sprinkled her hair with glitter,awwwie."You got me?",she asked smiling like crazy.

Jamie just nodded to give her sister her answer. "You can even wish for it stop all together if you wanted to," she whispered back. "But I'd rather you not because that is one of the things I absolutely love about you. So maybe just to get it under control would work the best," she said still whispering.

" Well, you are a great sister to Rowan" Rex told Jamie. " Rowan really loves you" Rex said to Jamie. " I think you, Rowan and I should go see a muggle movie" Rex smiled. "I could bring Rene, Fee, Hugo and Alex, too" Rex explained to Jamie. "We shall throw Rowan a big party, surprise party at the RoR" Rex whispered to Jamie.

" I will not throw up on you" Rex laughed. " I can handle my eating" Rex said to Rowan. Then Rex made abarf sound teasing Rowan." How do you like your present?" Rex asked Rowan.

" Rene is better now" Rex told Fee." Yes, I know, you cheered RavenClaw to their win" Rex sighed in a teasing way. " I will be rooting for the Champs, HufflePuff, because Rene is going to be a big part of their win" Rex explained to Fee. "Stop your pouting, it does not work on me" Rex said to Fee." I thought you would be confused if I did not tickle you and glittered you" Rex explained to Fee. " It worked wonderfully" Rex laughed.

"I love her too," Jamie said smiling. "I always wanted an older sibling and now I have one. She's great." She nodded in agreement. "I agree. A surprise party is a wonderiffic idea." She grabbed a drink from the table and took a sip. Tea.

"I would not want to change, just control it better." Whispering to her sister she said, "Occasionally sneezing myself into a pig snout gets a little old."

Rowan laughed at Rex's antics and gave him a little elbow to the ribs. "You'd better not. I love my gifts. Jamie is such a wonderful sister. I don't know what I would ever do without her. I feel like we've always known each other."

Jamie laughed and smiled. "I love you too and I agree it seems like we've known each other for forever even though it has only been this school term."

"Speaking of which, I do not know when your birthday is either," she said.

"It was way back in October. No big deal. I got my wish at the beginning of the year," Jamie said smiling at Rowan. It was one of those all knowing smiles that said it all.

" I know you love Rowan" Rex told Jamie. " I found out a couple of terms ago that Victoria is my half-sister" Rex said Jamie. " I love her very much" Rex smiled." Glad you like my idea" Rex smiled.

" I would never do that to you, my family, freinds or even my enemies" Rex explained to Rowan." Those gifts are really nice" Rex told Rowan. "Well, that is great that you felt like you have known each other for years" Rex said to Rowan. " Victoria and I feel the same way, we feel like a brother and a sister" Rex smiled.

Rowan grinned at her sister, knowing exactly what that smile meant.

"I feel like I've known Rex forever too. It's why I think of him as my big brother. Jamie, did you know that Rex is the very first person I met here? He danced for me when we were on the train." The thought of that jig still made her smile.

'Well, I am glad you feel that close to me" Rex told Rowan." I feel like I have known you all my life" Rex said to Rowan."Shall I cance for Jamie?" Rex asked Rowan.
