So, this was Gryffindor table. Elliott was officially a 'Gryffindor Lion.' He was pleased too, with the hat's decision - as far as he could tell, this house seemed like a very good fit. He took a seat at the table with his new housemates, even a few students from other houses, and the fifth year reached for the carafe of water to pour some for himself. The ice cubes plopped into his glass with the liquid, making a subtle 'kerplunk' noise. He brought the glass to his mouth and glanced around the table at the chattering students.

"Well gingers are going to rule the world one day, Adam." Selina joked, "have you been attending the 'rule the world' meetings for us gingers?"

She liked the fact that she had found a redhead who was appreciated their hair color. Most gingers were upset with the fact that they had red hair. Not Selina, it gave her extra fire.

"Why did you drop Kurumi's name to a whisper?" Selina inquired as she reached for mashed potatoes.

"Of course, Elyie this is Adam. Adam, Elyie."

"Slytherins have been known to... ehh I don't want to sound judgmental but they can be rather... mean."
*Pointing to the table he points out a first year Ravenclaw walking by and a Slytherin sticking his foot out to trip him. Matty grabbed his wand and lightly pushed the Slytherins foot back under the table.*
"You know what I mean... every school has a pack of them. This pack happens to be all in one house. There are a few good ones but it's best to stay away if you can. Gryffindor and Slytherin don't really get along anyway."

"I haven't been to the club. You be the president and me Vice President.."He said about the redhead club.

"I did didn't I....I just have some really devastating news, and I don't know how to tell her, you, Fee, Hugo...All my best maties..."He said.

Then Selina had introduced him to a new girl. He shook the girls hands, and even though his name had been mentioned he said,"I'm Adam. Nice to meet you Elyie..."

Elyon shook his hand with a smile. "Hello Adam, I'm Elyon. I believe we met briefly on the train, how are you?" She smiled, not feeling as nervous anymore. Making friends wasn't hard. She just needed to be herself, get into her element. She sat down and began to put food on her plate, making sure not to get anything with meat in it. She loved animals and would never eat them. She, her father, and her brother were all vegetarians.

"Deal." Selina laughed.

Then Adam began to look serious and he announced he had some bad news. Adam was always happy and carefree. Rarely had she ever seen him look so sullen. Sure she had seen scared, angry, happy, and funny. But never so sullen.

"What is going on Adam?" She said nervously laughing, "It's not like your moving or something? Right?"

"Oh yeah...I think it's cuz Selina called you by your nickname made me think I've haven't met you before...Enjoying Gryffindor so far?"He asked Elyon.

What?! No of course not...If I were moving I would've told all of you guys by now...I'm not moving... Not yet. Stupid parents."He muttered under his own breath as he took some steak from the table.

"Well thank you for the vote of confidence," Simon replied with a smile before perking up at the mention of more cookies. Ok so he wasn't one who had a big sweet tooth but the younger girl's cookies were certainly something to look forward to. "Sounds like a good plan," he said with a nod. "Maybe let them have one before the match and tell them they have to do the best they can to get more after. Use them as encouragement as well," he added with a chuckle.

Sophia smiled. She liked being called Sophie. It was a cute nickname. "Nice to meet you Brittany." she said, beaming even though she was still upset. Get over it Sophia. Wallowing in self-pity won't bring Alex back to life. she thought. "You are a Huffie!" she said, trying to forget about it. "I love the word Huffie." she said, solomly. It was so much fun to say. "Gryffie doesn't work as well." she said, truthfully. "I hope all the Gryffindors are treating you nicely." she said, narrowing her eyes at the fellow Gryffies. "We tend to have big egos sometimes." she said, laughing nervously. Forget about it! she thought.

Elyon smiled. "No problem, that could be confusing to anyone. Gryffindor is wonderful! I was almost sorted into Ravenclaw, but I guess the hat knew how badly I wanted Gryffindor, and here I am!" She smiled, more glad to be in Gryffindor than she could explain. It was her new home and she was happier than she'd ever been!

Her smiled faded to a frown as Adam and Selina started talking worriedly about his bad news. She heard him mutter about not moving yet, and began to feel extremely awkward. "Erm... would you like some privacy...?" She didn't want to intrude, but she really liked sitting with her new friends. She started to stand, waiting for their responses.

Adam saw a much older looking student drinking water. Like him , this young man had a habit of people watching. Scooting over to him Adam said, in a peppy voice,"Hello. I'm in third year.Burn. Adam Burn."He said arms out to shake his hands.

As Lucie kept wandering, she came across the Gryffindor table. Okay honestly, Elliot better be here or else she was going to give up and go back to the Slytherin table. She took a seat on the bench and looked left at all the faces, then right. Grr...she still couldn't find him! There was way too many students here.

Sighing in defeat, she got up and started walking back toward the Slytherin table when suddenly she caught a sight of familiar looking hair. Hehe FINALLY! She walked over and sat down beside the boy. "Hi there," she smiled, brushing back the strands of falling blonde hair. Phew she was feeling hot. These robes were too thick.

It seemed like they had reached that part of the feast. She had gotten the chance to get reacquainted with some of her fellow Hufflepuffs, and now it was time to meet some people from the different houses. She strolled over to the Gryffindor table, and sat down looking for someone to talk to.

"No No. It's fine. Selina and I can talk about it later..."He said raising an eyebrow to Selina to drop the subject while in such a crowded place full of people wanting to chat."Ready for the term to really begin?"He asked her, sipping some pumpkin juice.

Sophia looked down the table, and she saw a Slytherin sitting there. He was definatly older, and he was kinda cute. She didn't want him to think that she was staring at him or something, so she returned to her conversation.

Alex. she thought. It was all she could think about these days. She probably seemed really depressed, and she was. You have to put HER out of your mind. She wouldn't want you to be sad. she told herself. That part was true.

Selina looked up at Adam when he muttered under his breath. He was going to move and if he was going to move he was not going to go to Hogwarts any more. She could not believe what she was hearing.

"Does Kurumi know?" That was going to be an interesting conversation. Selina tried not to judge this new information. It was not like Adam wanted to move.

Selina cuaght the look and gave her best smile. She leaned over to him with a broad grin and whispered, "Okay, I'll leave it alone for now. But we are talking later." That much was for sure.

Elliott was crunching on one of the ice cubes from his glass when he suddenly heard a greeting from beside him. And it was Lucie! He suddenly smiled at her as the remaining ice pieces in his mouth melted. "Hey, Luce," he returned. "So, which house did you get into, then?" One couldn't exactly tell, seeing as everyone had the Hogwarts crest emblazoned on their robes tonight.

He poured himself another glass of water - gotta have eight a day, right? "Would you like some?" Or maybe she preferred juice. Pumpkin, cranberry, orange. Et cetera, et ceteraaa.

He soon heard another voice, though this time it was a male one. Elliott turned to see - aha! A fellow Gryffindor. "Hi, Adam," he smiled, giving the boy's hand a shake. "Nice to meet you; I'm Elliott Mikaitis." The boy seemed in a happy mood.

He did not at all want to think about moving when he was in the feast, talking to all his new buddies and friends.Slamming his fork down he looked around the hall.After this year it might be the last time he would ever see this place, all his friends..

"No she doesn't know...No one but you knows..So don't tell her..."

Smiling when Selina understood that it was not the time to speak of it right now Adam nodded at her."Thanks..>You always understand."

Lexi laughed too and nodded her head. "Yes, enjoy the years before exams begin... Trust me," she said with a chuckle. HER second year had been dreadul and her third not much better, but fourth was not bad in comparison to those.

Awww he was PRECIOUS. She wanted to boop his nose too, but it seemed like Hufflepuff's frightened easily or something, so she would keep her hands to herself. "I certainly hope you are right, Preston!" she said cheerfully as she let her eyes drift back to the staff table.

Goofy smiles FTW! "That's awesome! I really wish I was going to be here for Freddie's first year also. He is a Denver though, he will be just fine around here. Well, if he takes after me anyway." Him following in Marco or Dylan's footsteps here would be tragic. Hehe.

Elyon slowly sat back down, frowning. "Alright...." She hoped they'd be okay, whatever the bad news brought them. It made her feel a bit left out and out of place. Everyone else was so close and all knew eachother. She shook her head and faked a smile, reaching for her pumpkin juice. "Oh yes, I'm very excited, particularly for Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures. I adore working with animals, and Transfiguration interests me very much. I've never seen anything like it." Well, technically she'd never seen it to begin with, but Christopher had told her all about it.

" 'Course. What are friends for?" Looking down the table at the other students she smiled. She would not think about that right now. At least she had a whole year with Adam. That much she knew for sure. So she should enjoy it while she could.

Moving on from the depressing topic Selina looked up at Adam, "So any teachers I should avoid annoying?" Selina knew that her headstrong personality could get her into some altercations. So she needed to be ready ahead of time.

''Oooooooo capitan!'' Josh murmured as he sat down next to the Quidditch Captain. ''We are going to be the champion this year!'' then he said looking at the whole Gryffindor table ''We will be the champions! Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!''

Of course they were going to need the rest of the team to cheer for but now Simon was enough for them to foretell that Gryffindor was going to be the champion. Then Joshua Carter took Simon's hand and shoke hands with him to make sure that they were going to be the champion this year. ''I wonder which one will be the first team we will face''

"Oh... I didn't know that" she said while watching him doing magic to protect the little ravenclaw. "Well its werid how everyone is like that in the whole house?. We had a few of them in our old school but not like a whole house." while thinking about wanting to meet a few Slytherins to see what the whole deal was.

"so..." she said for she didn't really know much about Matty, she was trying to creat conversation. "Since we are two years away from graduating what did you want to do after hogwarts?"

"Care of magical creatures was interesting- even if I did only go to one class...I don't attend class very much.You learn all the creatures wizards and witches have and how some are considered pets and how to treat them and such."Adam told Elyon.

"Professor Lafay- she's the potions teacher, she made Kurumi lose all her bones during a lesson once. Kurumi had nicknamed her the Dragon Lady- so whenever she says Dragon Lady- you'll know it had to do with potions..."Adam laughed. A good name for a scary teacher at times.

"Not all of Slytherin is bad... but a good lot is."
*Matty smiled at her question and puffed out his chest a little.*
"I will be going into the Swedish Army of Magic. It is one of the last magical armies in the world. What about you?"
