"Thank you, sir. Same to you." Selina said bowing her head in respect. She watched as the ghost floated away and smiled to herself. She rather enjoyed talking to Sir Nicholas.

Kurumi waved to the ghost as he floated away. Were there any cookies that ghosts could eat? Kurumi scratched her head for a moment. Looked like she had something else to do a little research about now. It did seem unfair that the Gryffindor house ghost could not share something with its students.


Kurumi nodded at Raven. "We need to watch out for one another," she smiled trying to show some of her lion bravery.


Kurumi agreed 100% with everything Selina was saying, but the words said to her by the Gryffindor ghost echoed even stronger. "Sir Nicholas said there is no need to suspect without cause. Who knows, maybe this man is really here to keep us safe from something." Although, she highly doubted that.


Kurumi's worries were temporarily put on hold when one of the first years she had talked to on the train appeared at the table beside her. "Congratulations Amy," she smiled knowing exactly what her next course of action should be. Kurumi used her wand to charm one of the few remaining dancing Gryffindor cookies she had made from above the table to land gently in front of the girl. "Welcome to Gryffindor."

"Yeah, that will do, police our own, be cautious" Raven agreed, hiding the excitement he begins to feel

"Not just policing," Kurumi said really starting to feel those big sister instincts kicking in. "I mean making sure that those we care about stay safe. So, as your Gryffindor big sister, I need to make sure that you keep yourself out of trouble."

" Hi, my name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to the new girl. "Are you glad you were sorted into Gryffindor?" Rex asked her." Like the food?" Rex asked her.

Lucy was drinking her juice as she saw someone calling gout her name, her eyes rose in excitement to see who that person is, oh it was her friend Chloe, they knew each other from a long time, it was good to she her back at Hogwarts. Lucy hugged her as Chloe came near "Hey, how’ve you been" she asked her.
She heard Chloe asking her about her summer holidays "Oh, my holidays were great, but I really missed Hogwarts all summer. I wish I stayed here forever". Lucy stays with her aunt and she doesn't like her much, though her aunt is a good person, but sometimes she feels very lonely. Lucy likes being with her friends.
She looked at Chloe putting some food on her plate and smiled "Thanks, that's really nice of you to do this." she said and smiled.

"Aww, Not even here, being scolded all the time in home" in his mind

"Okay, I'll behave a little, unless there is a reason to not" Raven answer, his hand is moving to emphasize his word

"Not scolding," Kurumi said shaking her head. She certainly didn't want to become her mother as a second year. "Just making sure you don't try going out into the Forbidden Forest all by yourself or something like that."

Sophie watched with interest how Evan greeted Jamie and tried to make the first year see that Slytherin wasn’t a bad house despite the rumors that may have floated around on the train. Her friend was doing a good job and Jamie agreed to give being a Slytherin a try. It could be that she fit into the house after all and that the Sorting hat hadn’t made a mistake. Sophie shot Jamie a bright smile"I’m sure you’ll do great in Slytherin! Don’t worry so much it will be fine you just need to settle into the new house. If not you know where to find Evan and I probably won’t be hard to find either." Turning to Evan she replied to his previous question "I don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow besides visiting the owlery. Want to do something together?" The prospect of being alone with Evan felt like going out on deep water. Scary!

Err, hadn’t he asked her that question already? Furrowing a brow Sophie said in between another sip of pumpkin juice. "I’m in fifth year/OWL year." But then didn’t think much of it since her stomach was grumbling what was taking Headmaster Tate so long to deliver his speech. The nickname she had given him he accepted without objection which was surprising to some degree but not really when she heard some of the other things he had been called. "Oh, that wasn’t very nice. I would never call you that. I didn’t even know there was a crab in a muggle movie that shared your name."

Then the Italian boy started to make no sense at all. What he was rambling on about Sophie had no idea. She had lost him from the get go after not needing to be a flirty guy around her. Awkward! What was she supposed to say or do? "Erm, I’m glad to hear that. I want everyone to stay true to who they are. And act like they would normally do." And not act like someone they weren’t it just caused troubles.

Military?

Bastian moved on to talk about his hometown Pisa but what caught her interest was the mention of muggle military. Curiously Sophie asked "What does the muggle military do? Is it like the Ministry of magic of the magical world?"

The house ghost Nearly-Headless Nick floated over to their table for a while and talked to some students. Sophie sat in the wrong end of the table though so she never got to wish him a good evening or to make a closer acquaintance. The ghost soon after drifted out of the hall and Headmaster Tate held a short speech and so did the Ministry security liaison. The feast was unfortunately not opened.

"Hey, you give me an idea --for me the 'NO' means 'Yes', but as the school rule I am out of bound there, so don't worry at all, I can't be there --not in --at least --in my first month here" Raven say

"err, is there really dangerous thing in that forest", he ask innocently

"I learned the hard way last term during a Care of Magical Creatures' class," Kurumi giggled with her eyes ablaze with excitement. "We got attacked by a colony of Acromantula." It has actually been kind of exciting to be honest. Kurumi had come this close to being able to touch one of their pincers...

"See, you like adventure too" Raven teased
"err, Acromantula means big spider right, they attack wizard --not a friendly creature" he say
*Raven eyes is shining in excitement, when the time come, he'll see those for himself*

"Well, erm, they only attacked because I startled them by stepping on a twig," Kurumi admitted blushing a bit. It hadn't been her greatest moment, but at least everyone had got out safely, right?

"Aww" Raven disappointment
"but with Ministry additional security, It say I cannot do what I'd like to do" Raven complaint

"To be fair, you probably couldn't do whatever you wanted to do even without the added security," Kurumi smiled. Raven was certainly going to be a handful. Why did she sign on to be his Gryffindor big sister?

"Not on my game" Raven say

*yes, Raven have a string to his adventure, there is always a line, he didn't want to cross --well in an extent --he love to get out of sight --then appear like he haven't gone a bit --and he remember always --his first priority is studying magic*

Heather smiled back. "i've heard so much about you, Sir Nicholas. From my Parents. I've always wanted to see you once i get here to Hogwarts. My dad said everyone calles you Nearly Headless Nick...and my mom told me that wasn't very polite, although she's rather fond of that too." she sai, beaming. Boy, was she so happy to see the famous ghost her parents had always told her about.

Selina was very cautious about this man sitting next to the Headmaster. Although she was only a first year she knew that something was wrong. And from the reactions of all of the older students it only further clarified her suspicion. But maybe she was wrong. Maybe the happenings of this new staff member was strictly security. She highly doubted it.

Shaking her head of all negative thoughts Selina went back to her drumstick. It was quite delicious. As she reached for another she took the time to look down the Gryffindor table. It was filled to the brim with students, her new family.

Brielle didn't know how, but she was aware that she wasn't in the Ravenclaw table anymore. This was surprising, especially because she had been pretty unnerved by the man's speech. But wait--that must have exactly been the reason she had decided to stand up. It was a habit of hers, to walk around whenever nervous.

Looking around the table, she noticed another girl, she had seen her become sorted earlier, so Brielle was pretty sure she was a first year, too. "Hi there," she called out, still keeping distance from the table. "Pretty weird speech, huh?"

"Me too. I went home to my aunt as well who has raised me since I was little. I did however get to go to the military like base where my parents live at being aurors so that was awesome. I barely ever get to see them so it was quite a thrill for all of us getting to see each other again on my birthday.
But yeah, I am quite thrilled to be back at Hogwarts. My aunt is a bit wacky about freinds coming over. I had to sneak out to them or meet them in Diagon Alley. It was not fun. I like the freedom I have here. However I was disapointed that quiddich was cancelled last year for the Tournament. I can't wait to try out this year! What about you?".

Arabella-Marie smiled back at Rene and said "Hey no offense taken i was just a bit embrassed but i would love to have more friends"

Alex grinned widely at her. He was funny? Oh but of course he was. "Why thank you for that compliment and right back at you." he chuckled nudging her. It was rare that it was this easy first time you met someonen but he felt completely at ease when he was with Jacqueline. Good to have another Lion as a friend. Woot.

He frowned slightly, he didn't know her that well yet. If it was Fee or someone else close to him he'd wrap them into a huge bear hug but he just patted her on the back slightly. "How about you act all confident and tough and make the other give up?" Charade! He grinned widely, that could work. Alex laughed raising one eyebrow at her. "Oh really I have to look out for the Lions eh? I thought you would be here to protect me?" he smirked.

He was noooot silly. Alright perhaps a little bit... "Oh I get it." he laughed, another facepalm. "Chicken is aweomse, I've never been disappointed in chicken." he mused. Weelll isn't this a weird topic? Chicken, really? Huh, why not. It was tasty and he was actually thinking about stealing some chicken to have that same night in the Common Room... Could he do that? Steal a chicken from the Lions that was? Hehe, maaybe.

Sophia wasn't a third year... Internal pout, oh well it didn't matter Alex could be alone in his year sure. *wibble* "A second year, huh?" He searched his mind for any second year Gryffindor he knew. Heather and Kurumi were both second years, that was great they should adopt Sophia. Heh.

"I've actually never been to Italy." he said a bit bummed out. His friends had and that made him super jealous... "Really why in February? I thought you were supposed to go there when it was closer to summer?" he asked curiously. Or perhaps he had gotten it all wrong?

"I'm from here originally." he smiled. "But then my family moved so I've transferred from America. New York as a matter of fact." The good thing about that was that he could easily change between his brittish accent and his american one.

"Ohh dont be nervous",Fee smiled encouraging,"i am sure you will do well.Of course there is always a subject that gives you a headache but dont worry."GFor her, it was potions.But mostly because of the teacher notnthe subject.Meeeeh."I didnt use my wand before i got here,too",she told her friend,"you will get used to it soon."It was as if it came natural to you.As if the wand had its own mind,guiding you.

Evan nodded his head with a smile. "You should definitely give it a try," he said. Slytherin wasn't a bad house at all, and he was glad he wasn't in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. No no. Being a Puffer or a Dork for the rest of his life would have been horrible.

"Varity in a family is always good," he said, never mind the fact that he was coming from a family dominated by Slytherins. "Now, you can leave your own steps." Why following his father's footsteps anyway? She was an individual on her own. Still keeping all these to himself. She may not take his ideas too favourably.

"Oh, see, that's great!" he grinned. "I told you it was all rumours tha--" What, what? Flirting?! Was this guy flirting with Sophie? Cut off in his mid-sentence, Evan tried to focus on his conversation with Jamie, but his ears were listening to Sophie and the stupid dork. Blinking, his friendly tone getting slightly harder with annoyance, he still managed to smile.

"Yeah, like I said. Slytherin has lots to offer too, and I'm sure you'll love it." In fact, Slytherin got more to offer than Gryffindor. At least, they didn't have any stupid flirty dorks that made girls uncomfortable. Cue to the Italian guy talking to Sophie.

"All good now?" he asked with a smile, mind getting off Sophie for a moment. "If you have any troubles or just want to chat--" Wow, Evan Cartwright offering a little brat sweet girl to chat anytime. Revolution. "--you'll probably see me in the common room, or in one of the gardens with a football." He grinned at that. Yeah, she'd definitely see him with football.

He'd have asked her if she'd met any other Slytherin prefects yet, but he really wanted to tell a word or two to this big-headed Italian. Now that Jamie was a little bit assured Slytherin was a good house too, he could always introduce her later, right?

Flickering his blue eyes at the boy, he listened to him explaining how he would normally flirt a girl. Oh, how rude! And also, such a cliché! He snorted as the boy explained. Everyone--at least every boy that knew how to flirt properly--knew that telling a girl his normal ways was one of the most effective cons to get girls. Telling them they were different and that their tactics didn't work on them and all that jazz would 99% get a girl to believe they really were different, and would make them smile, and then came the rest.

Why did he reacted so... aggressively, he didn't know neither. But he was quite annoyed and jealous right now. He wanted to smack the boy in the face. But common sense held him back, and he merely said to Sophie "Yes, I'd love to do something with YOU tomorrow. Shall we visit the new grounds, see what's new and stuff alone?" There. Even though he had an unresistable urge to look at the boy with satisfaction, he held back again and just ignored him and his stupid Pisa Tower... hehe. He made sure the boy would hear that HE was the one to be alone with HER tomorrow though. There was of course guilt about feeling rather jealous and offering to be alone with another girl, but he'd deal with guilt later.

Now, he wanted to show this guy that Sophie was off-limits. Go find yourself some girl else to flirt, dork.

Selina smiled at Fee. She was glad that she seemed to not be wearing on her nerves. Fee was gladly helping Selina and calming her down. It wasn't that school was that terrible for Selina, but throwing magic into the mix would surely make it difficult. But Fee was right, it was just different and she had to get used to it.

"You're right. So how long have you known Adam?"
