Not for the first time --nor was it the last-- Greer had grown separated from her small group of friends before the feast started. It also did not help that her friends in question were all in different houses, and that she grew distracted more often than necessary. And since safety was in number, as she'd heard several times before by old people, McKensie stuck to the pack of Gryffindors, and follow them to the Lion's table.

When they reached it, the blonde considered her options. Sitting with people of around her own age, or sitting with the elders; for her, it was no brainer. After so many (read: two) run-ins with half-goblins that may or may not be kidnappers in disguise (they were not), the young Gryffindor decided that it would be wise to find herself a body guard.

Sneakily, the curly-haired child followed a tall and significantly older fellow Gryffindor, and claimed the spot right next to him. Humming happily under her breath, McKensie shifted her face to examine the boy's profile, staring at him longer than it could be considered polite. Absently, Greer raised a pale eyebrow as she did so.

He'd do for now. Or at least until she found Legend Chosen.

"Sir, do you consider yourself an expert in protective spells?"

Adam knew he was gonna make Selina sound pretty worried when she got up to the Hat, and he didn't want his sad tone to influence what house she may get.Brushing it off he said to her,"Don't worry about it. Later.What last name are they on?"He asked her.
This time Adam really wanted to see what house she was going to get into.She was an interesting character.
Selina was fierce , but spoke her mind, loyal to Demitri and Adam, somewhat Hufflepuffish, and at times she could be smart when she put herself to it. Though, he couldn't imagine her in Slytherin at all....

Looking brillant and tall she walked over to the Gryffindor table to say hi to some fellow students. She figures she make sure she was known and walked up with confedience in her step. "Hello Gryffindors. Im Rene. How are you this evening?"

In his search for the correct jug of water or pumpkin juice, Sabel couldn't help but notice a new addition to the table occupy an empty seat with a rather contorted expression. He understood the ups and downs of coming to school and the various circumstances of leaving home, so he wasn't about to judge or try to evaluate what might be going through her head at the moment. Instead, he took an evaluation of the glass he had poured, a slight frown twitching across his forehead; pumpkin juice. Not exactly what he was looking for.

With a sigh, he turned his eyes up to the girl, noticing a second who had joined her and introduced herself. Lilyana. He didn't recognize her but she seemed nice enough. With a slight shrug of his shoulders, he leaned a little across the table, offering one of the two of them the glass he had just poured. "Don't mean to interrupt, but I've been searching for the water and seemed to have got myself into a might bit of a conundrum with pumpkin juice. Would either of you like a glass?" He would certainly pour another if they both wanted one.



A slight nod of a familiar face caught the corner of his eye, compelling his head to turn a little to catch sight of Lexi, and a boy hugging her. Not really strange, and not cause for being rude, so he returned the smile and nod. They had fixed things last term and although reminicising wasn't particularly enticing at the moment, maybe they would catch up later.

He was about to turn back to the other two girls when he caught Lexi's words and choked. Choked, sputtered and coughed as if he had just swallowed something down the wrong tube. Putting the glass down on the table so as not to spill it, he covered his mouth with his arm, trying hard not to stare at Lexi wide eyed. Another boyfriend?!




He was halfway through offering up a lung alongside the pumpkin juice to the two girls he had addressed when a sudden address next to him startled him upright and nearly choking on his tongue. Wide eyed and out of breath, though thankfully the fright seemed to have dislodged the block in his trachea, Sabel turned slightly to look down (way down) at the young, staring thing beside him.

With great caution he lowered his hand and then glanced about before pointing at himself. "Sorry...are...me?" This child seemed....strange. Then again strange was normal so how bad could it be?

Biting down on her lip she shook her head free of all of her negative thoughts. She could handle this, she was Selina Skylar. The little first year who had the guts to approach every Quidditch Captain of every house and ask if she could try out for their teams. The little first year who was brave enough to stand up against the girl who had scared her friend out of his wits. The little first year who could handle this.

"You're right. What is the sense in worrying about something that will do me no good worrying about? What happens happens and I'll deal. Besides I will not act like a coward in front of a piece of clothing. Even if it is the scariest piece of clothing I've ever seen..."

Maybe the pressure was getting to her slightly, but she would refuse to succumb to it. She had never done so before, except with Demitri but he was different, so why start now.

"So you ready for try outs?"

Jayce glanced over at the entrance to the great hall. There were still people coming in. Was he going insane, or did the amount of kids double from last year? Well, there were of course all of the new firsties, but still, it seemed like there were more than there had ever been. And that's when a bouncing girl caught his blue eyes.

Merlin, she was hyper. He could just tell. Oh gosh, and now she was coming over here? Oh gosh. He glanced at the confused kid as she walked towards them. He chuckled as she introduced herself. "Hi Violet," he smiled as he dismissed his bad mood. "I'm Jayce." and he said it loud enough for the other kid to hear as well.

And then he noticed that the boy seemed rather.. upset? Something was.. off about him. He seemed.. distressed? Worried? Weird kid. Oh, heh. That made sense. Er.. kinda. Not really. But.. Why would everyone attack him? "Errr.. No, you're not going to get attacked," he replied, standing up. Merlin. This kid liked to stare at his hair too. Why was everyone so distracted by it? It was only HAIR. Jayce stood up, feeling weird for sitting while these two kids stood around him.

Simon couldn't help but notice his answer had brought comfort to the girl as she visibly relaxed before him. The captain wondering just how important it was to her and what might have happened if he had had to tell her no. He shook it off to listen to her next question and this one not quite easily answered since it didn't have a black or white answer.

"I don't see why not," he finally answered with a one-armed shrug. "I think skill is more important then age and I'd be willing to give a chance if it was warranted," the sixth year had to admit giving his own opinion on the matter.

"You're not being silly. It's okay to cry when you miss someone... I think" He shrugged. "Yeah I know what it's like to miss a best friend too..."

"Do I have a skateboard?? Of course I do! Kat made sure I had at least 3 of them before she left." He smiled. "They do come in handy you know. How about you?? Do you have one??"

Jeremy turned his attention towards the boy who had just joined them. "Hello" he grinned at him. A transfer student ey?? Well it would be nice to make some friends right?? "So what year are you in??"

"Really?" Selina asked in shock. That was a surprise. Most older students who she had talked to on the matter shot her down on the prospect of Quidditch. Of course she never listened and decided she would only back down if the source told her no. But now with the source telling her if she had the chops it was her spot she had a glimmer of hope. It was the best news she had heard all day. Her sorting could not even compare to this feeling.

"Thank you, a lot. You honestly have no idea what that answer means to me. And I'll be there. I promise. I will work my butt off to prove I deserve a place on that team!" That much was for certain. If she did not have the skill of the older students she would simply out work them. One way or another she would prove her chops and only then would the boy standing across from her make his decision.

"Do you know if I can borrow a broom to practice for try outs?" Perhaps her question was a too soon having just been sorted, but she was going to start to prepare for try outs as soon as they gave her the okay.

"I know Adam",Fee laughed,"you are just sooo irresistable.But i meant our group"Most of the time a part of them was together and sooner or later the last part joined in to.Weird but cool, they probably just knew the places the went to often.

Ohhhh Selina hadnt been sorted yet.Now that was weird.Why wasnt she with the firsties then?Oh well maybe a new rule the students didnt know about? You never knew what was going on in the headmasters head."Its a pleasure to meet you too",the blonde smiled.Selina really seemed nice and having nice people around was always cool.Fun was on its way."I am in Slytherin",she told her new friend.Maybe it seemed weird that she was at the Gryffie's table but yeah, quick visit.

The little second year blushed when the girl right next to hear mentioned talking about her,"You heard of me?",she said surprised.Why did people talk about her?She felt cool and popular, if it were good things.hehe. And then the red on her cheeks only darkend."Noo i am not Hugo's girlfriend",the blonde tried not to studder,"why do you think that?m We are close friends."Not more..yeah...

"Oh i would have loved to see you in it",Fee chuckled,The imagination was just cute.Okay, when was Kurumi, not cute?!Was that even possible?!"Thats a fab idea",the blonde nodded happily,"who should we ask?"The more the merrier,right?!Oh this would be sooo cool.

Ivan grinned as Lexi seemed excited to see him and he wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug. "Well...." he looked down at his robes and sighed, "We could paint the blue red and pretend I'm in your house." He laughed and gave her a kiss on her cheek, "Besides it's not THAT terrible is it?" Well aside from Miles having been in that house.

Looking past her as she introduced him he smiled at Jeremy, "Hi. I'm a fifth year. You?" he said with a smile. Keeping his arm around Lexi he looked at her "Can I? I mean am I allowed to sit at another houses table?" Well he saw a couple of other people but he would rather not get in trouble on his first day. The second day was fine.

Greer did not take her golden-brown eyes off the boy as she shifted on her sit. A small, thoughtful frown puckered her usually smooth forehead at his hesitation, tone and expression. Hmm. Had he some sort of speech affliction?

Most unfortunate.

Tall, dark and seemingly polite judging by the way he was behaving with his peers, he looked like the perfect candidate to protect her, so Greer silently hoped that she'd caught him off guard. Not that she telling him--McKensie was never telling.

"Yes, sir. You" Answered the second year, enunciating every word carefully as if she were talking to someone younger than her very own twelve-years-old. She smiled hesitantly, before dropping it and using a very business-like tone of voice that was almost incongrous coming from someone with such a child-like, round face. Safety was a serious business, after all! "Would you consider yourself an expert in protective spells? What about hexes? Jinxes?" As an afterthought, she added. "And charms?" Might as well ask about those, too, in case she needed help with her own homework.

"Kinda...I heard we needed to learn some of the history to it and such, to I have to head to the library tomorrow perhaps...Maybe you can help me study...My flying is pretty decent..."It's true whenever he could he practiced on his new nimbus when his parents had gone out shopping, , but he stayed low to the ground as to not scare neighbors.

"I am I am...."He said when Fee called him charming. But then he heard Selina say that Hugo and Fee were dating. He could not hold it back in any longer and spit out his butterbeer...
"Excuse me FEE...This is news...You guys are dating and you don't even tell ME!?"He said astounded.

"Oh, I was misinformed then. Sorry about that. Um... this is awkward. I hope you still want to be friends after that whole embarrassing moment."

Wow. Way to go Adam. He was officially the misinformant. Had he not told her how perfect it was that Hugo was with Fee and he was with Kurumi and she was with Demitri? That boy was in some serious trouble with her and she had a rath like no other... she was a ginger.

"So tell me about yourself, Fee. Do you like Slytherin?"

Heather walked over and sat down at the Gryffindor table. She was so excited about being here. So many people were here, people she had never met before. She didn't want to go up to people and just start talking. Sure she was outgoing she just wished people would make the first move. But that was the problem, Everyone thought that way. Heather didn't even know who she was sitting next to.

Okay come one. Socializing in a school full of once thought to be mythical beings cannot be this hard. Heather thought to herself.

Selina gaped at Adam, "You told me that on the train mister! You said that they were like you and Kurumi and it was so cute." Selina said leaning over to Adam in a whisper. She did not want Fee to hear any of this and start an unnecessary quarrel.

Was Sabel going to live? She momentarily considered casting Waddiwasi to clear his airway... Weird boy, that one. For sure. She gave him a look that clearly asked if he was alright, though.

Lexi laughed at Jeremy and smiled at him brightly. "I am Kat's best friend... of course I have a skateboard. I also have a helmet and all the padding you can imagine. As you saw from my lovely entrance on the train... it is needed," she said with a giggle!snort.

Okay... her bestie was gone, but Jeremy seemed to be worthy. This term was going to be epic. She just knew it. "I think we are going to get up to a good bit of fun this term, Jer. Is it okay if I call you, Jer?" she said through giggles.

Lexi frowned heavily. She supposed it was okay... "You are Jimmy are in the same house, so that is good. I really wanted you to be a Gryffie though," she pouted. Then with a shru of her shoulders she was over it. We will spend as much time out of our common rooms then, she thought as she hugged him back and then pulled away after he kissed her cheek. Sweet, sweet boy.

"YES! You can sit here with me. If you want, I will sit at the Ravenclaw table with you? Tell me where you want to sit," she said with a little bounce.

It was amusing to watch the fellow Snake be all confused.

But he wasn’t even going to introduce himself? Not cool, man. Pfft, she was just going to GIVE him a name then. And she had the perfect one in mind.

“You’re new here right, NERD?” Yeah, nerd was the kid’s new nickname.

She looked at Jayce.

His hair was COOL. And she wanted to TOUCH it. She eyed it for now though, she didn’t want to be WEIRD or anything and ask him if she could touch it. But it couldn’t hurt to comment on it, right?

“I like your hair.” She said, with a giggle.


And maybe, just maybe if she hadn't already creeped out the kid with her hyperness she would ask him if she could touch it. :3

"I said that they were like me and Kurumi when we started. All cute and friendsiey like...I just said I thought they liked each other...I never said they were dating..."he whispered back angrily.

"You never said that. And can we please not fight? I do not want to tip of anyone. It was my bad. Sorry, you were unclear." Selina finished with her voice bellow a whisper. Could this introduction to Fee become any more awkward. She hoped not.

she wondered where the Slytherin table was, she wanted to say hello to Katie, she then stopped at the table here, wait, why were they all in Gryffindore robes? this wasn't the Slytherin table, it was Gryffindore, she walked away slowly but she was stopped in her foot steps as she had bumped into someone who was sitting down, "s-so-sorry, i di-didn't mean to bump into you" she said, great start to the year.

These had to be the strangest questions he had heard at an opening feast at Hogwarts in the short history of his presence there. Well, maybe second strangest, or third. 'Do not die' and 'death by pumpkin juice' were top rankers too. And those were in his first year of attendance. Fourth year. A rather strange time.

Shaking his head a little, he pressed the memories back and turned slightly to better consider the girl. The frown was back on his brow and his breathing almost normal though the startlement which had caused the coughing fit was still very much present. He was going to have to have a few words with Lexi. That was, perhaps when he was done being interrogated by this other Gryffindor that made him feel as if he should sit up a bit straight and make sure his tie was properly done. Seeing how this wasn't drill school however, he neglected the impulses and rested his forearm on the table beside himself.

"In mind, I would suppose anyone considers themselves as such, especially in dreaming. In practice, I guess I'm adequate." His brow furrowed a little bit more and he ducked his head slightly so he could be a bit more level with the younger student. "Expert takes many more years than the seven at Hogwarts to achieve. Why do you ask? Is something bothering you?" Out of sheer habit, his eyes went to sweep the immediate area, searching for any glares or unfriendly glances that may be sent the girl's way. From what he could see, there was nothing. Only Lexi's worried glance his way, to which he returned a rather sheepish and embarrassed smile and nod of the head before turning back to his.... acquaintance?

Alright I'm sorry then!"He said a loudly in a whisper.
His first melodramatic fight with Selina...Wow he sure would need her if the one ever came around.
Mental note- do not fight with Selina, she is one fierce chica.

Finally ending the fight Selina added in a, "Good.". Content with how that had played put Selina rolled her eyes. Her first fight in Hogwarts was a whisper fight. How very like her and Adam to do the atypical way of things. But she smiled at the thought. They were not so typical and that is why they were such good friends.

Smirking at the boy she asked, "You ready for try outs?"

Raven was sorted in Gryffindor, Yay, he love it, his wish is granted by that dusty hat, he teased it till shout his house.

Raven ran toward the Gryffindor table, joining housemate, they all clapping, cheering

"Great, I'm Gryffindor"
"Food, I'm deadly hungry" Raven grab the juice first followed the chicken
