Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

Flourishing it at him, she said, "There. Happy?" She was never going to let him live for that one. Braeden watched, a smirk curving a corner of his lips, as the Evil Lioness clenched her hands and teeth and groaned in defeat. Aaahh, the sweet sound of victory... Mwahha.
"Back to you, m'dear," replied a smug Braeden as the Lioness signed her name (which he now saw to be Ruby. Huh. Like her hair. How funny). However, this was of course not true. He didn't know Ruby well enough to hate her; and even if she had been a total dementor for the past hour, he still couldn't hate her. Something about her amused him; and either way, he just felt like being a smart-mouth and infuriate her further.
"Not yet," said Braeden as Ruby asked about his feelings; as if she cared. "Now, take the parchment and hold it up while I take your picture," he instructed, taking a couple steps back to give Ruby room to prepare herself for what would be the picture of the year. "Say cheeeeeese!"

Emily guessed she would probably read the whole library by the time she left school. 
"Well these books" she said picking up 3 of them "are about dragons. I'm quite facinated by them. I've read half of this one at in the library by the stained glass windows. And those" she said pointing to the ones by Nika's feet "are on Arithmancy and charms. I don't really understand what Arithmancy is, so I want to find out, and I want to read up more charms, as I really like that subject!" she smiled. She hoped Nika didn't think she was wierd for reading so much....

Nika thought about the Arithmancy and charms books she had got and wondered weather she would be able to go get a book on potions. So there would probably be books on potions too, right? I think that I need a book or two on potions because I want to know all I can so that our professor decides to keep me alive by the end of this term." Nika giggled. If she would be able read more on potions that means that she could do better in the class. And then the professor might not hate her anymore!

Emily said sitting up straighter "Dragons are really facinating! Do you want to borrow one of these books?" she asked holding one out for Nika.
Emily laughed "Yeah, there are books on everything! So there will deffinatly be books on potions. That professor seems really strict. If we do one thing wrong, we'll probably end up with a detention!"
She hated strict teachers! Her sister had warned her about that, but she didn't think anyone could be so mean!

Trina took a seat on one of the many couches in the Common Room. She stuck out her feet so that they were by the fire and just relaxed for a moment. It had been a busy day and she wanted to give herself a moment to recover from it.
Moment, done, she sat more correctly in the chair and tucked her feet under her. Looking around, she smiled and nodded to a few people before pulling out her knitting needles and continuing to work on a project: a wide scarf.
