The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby!
Alice noticed that Lexi was looking kind of down, but was picking up the vibe that she didn't want to talk about it. "It wasn't too bad," said Alice with her own little shrug. "Spent most of the time helping my dad with our library." Remembering from before that the whole summer vacation topic was not a good thing to bring up, Alice decided to not go there. "So...are you excited for classes to start?"
Lexi smiled at her little friend and nodded as she spoke. "Well that sounds lovely, Alice. I envy you your downtime," she said and added in her head, 'More than you know.' "How are things with your family, love?"
Classes. Oh right. She was here for CLASSES and not teenage drama... who would have thunk it. "Yeah, I reckon classes will be alright. OWL year after all. I will be working more than playing I fear," she mumbled quite angsty.

Staring boy. Why. Stare? Lexi watched him come closer and when he spoke she lowered her eyebrow and smiled, kind of. "Nice to meet you, Adam. I'm Lexi. Stressed? Me? Never," she said the last part a bit dryly but gave a hint of a smirk.

"Hi Lexi. You sounded a bit sarcastic to me. I don't tell people secrets or problems unless they wish me to."Adam said, to perhaps make Lexi feel more at ease.
Many people, including himself, seemed they all had something to hide these days and many people did not want to share the situation to a single soul.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Alice's mouth twitched slightly when Lexi asked how things were with her family, but she shook the gesture off quickly. "Alright I suppose. My mother left my father and I without a trace, but...it is what it is," Alice said with a little shrug. Lexi seemed slightly surprised by the word "classes", making Alice think there must be something going on in her personal life. She knew how distracting those kinds of things could be..."I hear all the prep work for the O.W.L.s are worse than the actual exams," Alice said with a sympathetic smile. She was very thankful she had another three years before she had to be worrying about that.

Rafe had become very familiar with healing spells, considering he had to use them on himself when he was beat up by his wolf brothers. He had a few slashes on his face, but his back and chest were the worse. His scars would never go away since they were from a magical being, but Heather's should clear up real nicely. He waved his wand over her arm and said, "Vulnera Sanentur." He hoped that would work, usually is left your skin a little pink but that would go away. "Well, I don't reccommend you fly anymore without one of Vindictus's lessons." Rafe didn't care so much for lessons, he was flying since he was practically a baby. But, he knew flying didn't come naturally for everyone.
"Yeah I guess." Heather was upset now. "I'll have to remember that spell. Say, do you know where you're brother is?" Heather really wanted to talk to him.
Heather saw Rafe's wet hair and laughed a little before turning around and using the spell he had taught her to bring over a blanket. "Need this?" She asked handing it to him.
"Hi Lexi. You sounded a bit sarcastic to me. I don't tell people secrets or problems unless they wish me to."Adam said, to perhaps make Lexi feel more at ease.
Many people, including himself, seemed they all had something to hide these days and many people did not want to share the situation to a single soul.
Sighing in shame of her attitude she smiled a bit more gently at the boy. "I am sorry. You didn't deserve a response like that," she said sincerely. Her attention was torn when she heard what Alice said though...

...
Lexi immediately rose from her seat and went to Alice and pulled her into a hug. "I am sorry, Alice." She knew that nothing she said would make it better, but that was all she could think to say to her. Stupid Lexi brining that up. STUPID.
Realeasing the girl with a little pat on the back she folded herself into the floor near both the kids. "Yeah. Prep for the exams will surely be rough. I am not much for studying typically," she said trying to change thesubject.
Chris trudged into the commonroom, the pile of books in her arms too high to see over. She wobbled from side to side, almost falling over with every step. She had almost made it to an armchair to sit down in when she tripped, books flying everywhere. She looked up from the dirty rug to see Derian's brother, Rafe, and the first year that she had seen at the lake. They didn't seem to notice her, so she attempted to stealthily retrieve the books that lay between them.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Alice had been holding herself together all summer for the sake of her father but once she felt Lexi's arms go around her she collapsed. Her head fell into Lexi's shoulder, her own shoulders going up and down in sync with violent, quiet sobs. After a moment she released herself from Lexi, wiping away the tears and nodding to her that she was okay. "Sorry about that. I've been holding it together all summer for the sake of my dad. Most of the time I am just furious at her for what she did, but I guess deep down I am rather hurt."
Once Lexi had moved to the floor in between her and Adam, Alice pulled her knees to her chest. She was embarrassed that she had slipped so drastically, even if she was friends with both Lexi and Adam and knew they would understand.
"I suppose stressing over them doesn't help," said Alice in understanding. "I imagine the more relaxed you can stay the better off. You're a great wizard though Lexi, so I am sure you will do great!"

Awww man. This kid was reminding Lexi... of herself. Giving her a little squeeze she then petted her hair before she moved. "Hey, it's better to cry and let it out than shut off your emotions." Angsty teenager speaking from experience, party of one, please?! "YOur anger is expected, Alice. Trust me, feel it. Let it out," she said quietly as she patted the girl's knee comfortingly.
Great witch? Lexi? Yeaaaah. She was great at some things. Like DADA and Transfiguration. But that was about it. Giving that shrug she said, "Thanks for saying so, but I have a LOT of work to do before the exams." It was true. She had spent time away from the school... time with more boys on her mind than studies... She was in trouuuuuble.
IT dawned on her finally. Digging in the bag that she still had slung over her shoulder, Lexi fished out a pink handkerchief and offered it to Alice.
Septimus sat on one of the squashy sofas and leaned back. It had been a long day and he had already finished his homework. It was probably safe to you-know-what-if-you've-seen-my-character-info, seeing as no one was really paying attention to him. And if no one saw him, no one could tattle on his father. Ugh, why did his dad have to hate art? But, thought Septimus, maybe he doesn't hate art. He just wants me to be interested in Quidditch or something. Or maybe it's both. Septimus pushed the thought aside. His father wasn't there now. Meaning he couldn't stop him from doing what he did best. Drawing. So, with a smug grin on his pale face, the curly-haired young artist pulled out his bright blue sketch book and began to create his art: the one thing that made his life worth living.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Alice smiled at Lexi, glad to have her support. She stifled a little sob and gave a watery smile as Lexi squeezed her knee. "I suppose it is better to let it out than keep it in. I just trying to suppress it can be easier than admitting how hurt and mad I am." Alice let out a little chuckle at Lexi's comment about still needing to do a lot of work. Her brows furrowed in curiosity as Lexi rummaged through her bag before returning to their normal spot as Lexi handed her a pink handkerchief.
"Thanks," Alice said with another wet smile before bending down to give Lexi a big hug. Taking the handkerchief she dabbed what was left of her tears.

Adam saw Legend around the table, hard at work with quill and ink writing a letter. He wanted to know a bit more about Legend, but not bother the 5th year at the same time.
"Hi Legend."Adam said timidly.Keeping his eyes off the piece of parchment, it could be personal.

Legend stared blankly at the parchment that just wouldn't write itself. Did it think he actually had TIME to sit here and write a letter?
Obviously, he was in a bad mood.
"I'm writing a letter. It is rude to interrupt people when they are writing.Mr....rude..letter interrupting person!" Legend grumbled, his eyes not leaving the parchment to even see who it was.

Legend looked up from the empty parchment as the person began to stammer. Oops. That wasn't being really friendly no was it? "Ooohh. Sorry Adam."
Yeah, he did look familiar! The blonde felt kind of guilty for basically snapping at the older boy now. "Yeah I remember you. Take a seat." Because of course Legend could tell people when to sit and when to stand because the WHOLE common room was his.
Snort.
"Sorry about that again. Just a little stressed out even though it's the beginning of term-" Now, what had he said about his name? Stare. Was he doubting the truthfulness of his name!? "Are you saying that you don't believe my name is Legend? Or...what now?"

Heather saw Legend walk into the common room. She thanked Rafe and gave him a quick peck on the cheek for healing her arm. She walked over to where Legend and Adam sat. "There still a spot open or would I just be playing third wheel?" Heather asked. The only time she had met Adam he made Katie cry, that couldn't mean he was a bad guy though could it?

Adam sat down as Legend had told Adam to do.
"No. I'm just wondering what your parents thought when they called you Legend Chosen.
I mean Legend is born, let's name him Legend so that when he says his name on a test it is Chosen Legend- it just flows so cool like that."Adam said.
Then he saw some other girl, a bit blondeish-maybe Katie's friend.
"Umm, how are you?"Adam asked- never seeing this girl before.

Heather deep black hair fell in front of her face as she sat down. She looked towards Adam. "Good. Pretty good." She paused for a second. Name, dork. Give him your name. She thought to herself. "I'm Heather, by the way. Heather P. Miller. And you are?" She already knew, but it was polite!

Huh. His name hadn't really...been a big factor until this year. A whole bunch of people just started going WOAH your name is Legend. Like he had just changed it or something. Maybe he should have a son and named him Hero. Then his name would be popular too. The sixth year blinked, then smiled. "Well my parent's didn't name me Legend. My sister did. I was born really premature, and the doctors said I wouldn't make it. But I did so she said I was a Legend, and that just stuck."

Lexi wrapped her arms around the small girl and hugged her tightly, petting her hair as she sobbed. "That's what I am here for, Alice. Seriously. I will help you however I can," she said in a soft, reassuring tone.

"Oh my Legend. Why, if you hadn't have told me I would have thought other wise." Heather said playfully poking fun at Legend while feigning an 'old timer' accent. "So how have you been since we last spoke less than twenty-four hours ago?" She giggled, but rubbed her arm. It was still sore from her accident.
"Hello Adam." She smiled and offered her hand him.
Raven go down in the common room. he has a good nap. Ooh, the common room is always a pack of scarlet and gold robe. He saw an empty chair --of course he sat down and take a moment to day dream what is his first subject to attend.

Yup, Adam was a rambler. Legend could see that clearly. Nodding his head to the boy his eyes quickly flashed back on to the parchment. WRITEYOURSELF.
"Burn. Adam Burn." Legend grinned. "Remember it's shaken, not stirred." He had to bite his lip to keep himself from laughing. It was such a nerdy thing to say but it wasn't his fault that his older brother was obsessed with spies. Adam just made him remember everything. "Your name is pretty simple though. Maybe you need a nick name. Like Double O' 6." 006. One below 007. Because face it Adam was no James bond, but he still had a bond-ish name.
Huh. Was there some sort of feud with Heather and Adam? They didn't even know each other did they? Nevertheless, Adam didn't seem to like her.

"I would play along with you but I soo can't mimic that accent." He said shaking his head. "It's hard enough for me too not randomly break out in Italian."

"Well, I got a note from my ex-boyfriend yesterday and he definitely didn't forget to include his usual emotionally sadistic tendencies." She looked down for a second and then back up at him. "I also got a nice big gash on my arm today. Other than that I've been okay I guess. A little tired at times."
