| | |  Gobstones: Slytherin vs Hufflepuff CHAMPIONSHIP Match
Practically sprinting out to the room where the Gobstones matches were held, Professor Hadley just prayed to Merlin that the Slytherin and Hufflepuff players hadn't been waiting too long. She had gotten rather caught up in marking assignments and whatnot, completely losing track of time. "Sorry," she murmured apologetically as the Badgers and Snakes took their places around the court.
Handing the players each their appropriate colored gobstone bags, gold for Hufflepuff, green for Slytherin, Professor Hadley then levitated the gray Jackstone into position in the center of the court.
"As you should all be very much aware of the rules by now, we shan't waste much time. Reminder though that there is a zero tolerance for cheating and only one warning will be issued for each team playing out of turn. Let the championship match commence." | |

Evelyn decided to take matters back into her own hands; letting others take a turn for her wasn't working out and she was going to have to teach her fellow she-snakes a thing or two about gobstones it seemed over the summer.
Because as per her usual form, Evelyn took aim and her green stone landed just inches from the center Jackstone. Way to go, Evelyn!

And what happens when Evelyn takes charge of the rolling for the snakes? They score again! ... Even though Snakes are one round away from winning the gobstones championship, that doesn't mean anything...
... as similar to quidditch, anything is possible. Perhaps the wind might change directions or something. Who knows? Let's just play it out and see what happens, shall we?

Was the wind changing direction or was this merely a fluke? Who knew, but Jakers decided to be pro-active again and take another roll for the badgers, which proved to be in his favor!
Particular as the center jackstone decided to shoot a fresh wave of gob at the snakes. Wake them back up again. Hehe.

Must have been a fluke, because the gob was not slowing Evelyn down. In fact, she hardly even seemed phased by the smell, as she took her roll and the green stone rolled quickly toward the center... ahead of the gold one rolled by Jakers.
And it stopped closer to the center too. One more for snakes and they win. One for badgers and the match bears on as a fight to the death

Nothing it seemed could slow Evelyn down as she threw what she hoped would be her final roll for the year. It quickly rolled across the court and smacked hard into the center jackstone, a small piece of the shiny green stone breaking off. Good thing it was the end of the year, but Fina was going to have to add that to the list of things to purchase for the summer: new bag of stones for Slytherin.
Right. And with that however, meant another thing. Match over. "Slytherin takes the reigns as Gobstones Champions for this year! Congratulations to both teams for their efforts this term and for those students returning next year, I hope to see you again. For those graduating, good luck." And hopefully Lafay won't have too much to complain over at the closing feast, for at least her house did win something this term. "Please shake your opponents hands before heading back to the castle to your final studies or wherever."
