He hears the screeching sound coming towards him and ducks . . . the instinctive motion sends him plummeting . . . Bennett regains control of his broom and continues down the pitch . . . he passes to Patroclus Hudson . . . Hudson makes the catch . . . EEEE! Hudson zooms forward and is suddenly kicked to one side . . . Hyun Kim sneers at Hudson and reaches for the Quaffle . . . CRACK! Joshua Carter swings and sends the Bludger crashing into Kim . . . the Slytherin spirals out of control and Hudson gives his teammate a nod of thanks . . . Hudson finally reaches the scoring area . . . he raises his arm and he shoots . . . DING! Patroclus Hudson scores for Gryffindor and a disgusted Sierra Greingoth kicks the air . . . her actions force a golden object out of hiding.

A clearly frustrated Sierra Greingoth retrieves the Quaffle and she puts it back into play . . . her pass is caught by Taylor Wattsfay . . . she tucks it under her arm and zooms forward . . . Wattsfay zigzags past several Gryffindor defenders . . . she raises her arm and passes to Aaron Anderson . . . he makes the catch and zooms down the pitch . . . Anderson enters the scoring area . . . he raises his arm and he shoots . . . THWACK! Carter Phillips uses a mighty swing of his broomstick to swat the Quaffle away from the center goal hoop . . . the Quaffle sails through the air . . . SMACK! It strikes Evelyn Flores-Shepard on the back of her head . . . the Slytherin Seeker falls off her broom and floats towards the ground . . . THUD! She hits the ground with a soft thud and lies motionless . . . the crowd grows silent.

For fifteen anxious minutes, much happens on the ground as Healer Moretti tends to the injured athlete and sends her to the Hospital Wing on a stretcher. Vindictus motions for Aaron Anderson and Simon Bennett to join him on the ground. Calmly, he explains the situation to both captains and Anderson verbally gives the official a roster change. Nodding his head, he motions for them to rejoin their teams in the sky.

"Due to the injury of Evelyn Flores-Shepard, Slytherin has been forced to make a change to their current game line up. Aaron Anderson will be moving to the position of Seeker for the remainder of the game. Due to this roster change, Slytherin is forced to take a penalty and Gryffindor is rewarded with ten 10 points."

Once he saw that both captains were back in the sky, he called for the game to resume.

"Game on!"

As the players zoomed around, the fans suddenly began screaming . . . the fans are on their feet as the Seekers spot the Snitch!

A shaken Carter Phillips retrieves the Quaffle and cautiously puts it back into play . . . his pass is caught by Selina Skylar . . . she tucks it safely under her arm and zooms down the Pitch . . . she swerves past Hyun Kim who tries to shove her towards the stands . . . Skylar maintains control of her broom and tosses the Quaffle to Patroclus Hudson . . . he makes the catch and shakes his head as Joshua Carter attempts to collide with Kim behind Professor Vindictus's back . . . Hudson zooms forward . . . he enters the scoring area . . . he raises his arm and he shoots . . . DING! Patroclus Hudson scores for Gryffindor has his shot sails over the head of Sierra Greingoth and into the center goal hoop . . . the fans scream as the Seekers chase after the Snitch . . . its a blur of green and red . . . the hunt briefly takes them over the heads of the fans . . . a few banners are shredded as the Seekers burst through them . . . the Snitch changes direction and heads for safety over the open pitch . . . the Seekers follow . . . they go into a dive . . . both reach out . . . Lea Sinclair slows down and opens her closed fist only to find out that nothing is there . . . she looks up in disbelief and sees a Aaron Anderson braking hard . . . he manages to stop two feet from the side of the stands . . . he thrusts his fist into the air . . . the Slytherin Captain has done it . . . Aaron Anderson has caught the Snitch . . . Slytherin wins!

"Slytherin wins!" Vindictus exclaims to the crowd and realizes that the remainder of his comments will be drowned out by the roar of the crowd. "Slytherin will face Ravenclaw in Game 5 and the winner of that game will advance to the Quidditch Cup Championship game!"

Now to stand back and make sure that the player shook hands, instead of exchanging close-fisted blows.

Aaron just sort of floated there. Not exactly sure what was going on. He knew he was playing Seeker. A position he had NEVER played before. And he knew he had something in his hand. It felt odd. Like a little pebble compared to a Quaffle. All of the sound around him was faded as his mind tried to make sense of what just happened.

HE CAUGHT THE SNITCH, YOU DUNDERHEAD!!!!!!!

Suddenly, the noise around him came back in. He could hear the cheers. He could hear the boo's. And suddenly it hit the Slytherin captain.... He caught the Golden Snitch...

AGAINST GRYFFINDOR!!!

The 6th year thrusted his arm in the air. We won... we won... WE WON!!! WE WON!!!!

Holding the Snitch, Aaron quickly pivoted his broom away from the stands back towards the pitch where he could see his team mates. The Captain began to lower himself to the ground picking up a little speed before basically power sliding knees first into the pitch; letting his broom come out from under him.

What? He never won a match before as captain. Cut the kid some slack.

Selina wasn't sure what was wrong with her today. Usually she's always on point with everything because how much she loves Quidditch! But maybe her head just wasn't in it completely! But it's alright there's always next time! Selina swiftly flew down to the ground and landed hopping off of her broom. She saw the Slytherin Captain cheering and looked at all of the Slytherins cheering along with him on the team and in the stands. Selina couldn't help but wish that it was the Gryffindors who had won the match, but she had to admit the Slytherins deserved it and they played a very good game! She put on a small smile and clapped for the Slytherins lightly.

Carter landed still shaking from head to foot.

*GULP*

He had just killed Evelyn. Or... knocked her out. Right now he wasn't sure if anyone would catch the difference.

He looked around not sure whether he should apologize, run, hide, retire from quidditch, or all or a combination of everything above.

Shaking Holding his broom in his hand he called out "Good game." to the Slytherin Captain.

Tay smiled with joy as she reached the ground- smiling and waving over at the shocked Aaron- she couldn't believe it, he had won it for them! In a position he'd never played before- she was so proud of her Captain!

She ran over and grinned- "Well done, Captain!" she said happily as she winked and smiled at him.

Hyun watched how their seeker got hit by one of the bludgers. He felt sick when he saw her spinning to the ground and layed there. He felt like he shouldnt be whining about his shoulder injury where a bludger had hit him seeing how Evelyn was... Suddenly he heard roars of applause and Vindictus shouting a house name, Hyun didn't know who had won. He looked around him and quickly spotted Aaron ...with...his fist..up?

LIKE NOOOO!! WE ...WE WON?!

realisation rushed through his body and he flew towards his captain who managed to do a power slide on the pitch. He laughed at the action and jumped off his broom. "WE DID IT! ..YOU DID IT! " he shouted out loud and threw his arms in the air. He made a face when his shoulder started to hurt and he quickly wrapped his other arm around him, winching at the pain.

A VERY upset Josh slowly landed on the field unable to take the very scene that Evelyn hit the ground out his mind. What if she got hurt too much? What if it was something permanent? He could not even stand it if she would break a nail and now she was sent to the Hospital Wing. He knew what to do :

He had to drop and leave everything here and RUN to the hospital wing at his top speed... He did not care about rest of the things. Yes, so the boy took a deep breath to start running to the castle however when he looked up...

...his brown eyes caught the guilty sight of Carter and it was the very moment he started to see RED. It was HIM who caused Evelyn to fall off her broom, was not he? HIM...INJURING...HIS...BELOVED...SHE-SNAKE! That was NOT acceptable! No way!

''CARTER!'' so Josh yelled with all his anger as he threw the broomstick and beater's bat away not really caring where they were gone. Then he ripped the red Quidditch robe off from himself throwing it on the ground. And once he was done with freeing himself from possible obstacles, breathing out his nose angrily he ran for Carter and...

...grabbed his supposed friend who injured Evelyn from his robes. Angry dark brown eyes were fixed on the blonde boy. ''WERE YOU ASKING FOR AN ONE-WAY TICKET TO THE HOSPITAL WING?!! I'D BE HAPPY TO DO THAT!!'' So pulling him towards himself harshly Josh PUNCHED the other boy hard on the nose.

As soon as the blocked quaffle hit Evelyn Simon cringed. Not only because it was a major injury but he was certain his best friend wasn't going to be thrilled, especially when it was or maybe regardless that it was an accident by a member of his own team. When Vindictus motioned them down, he answered the call discussing the situation with the professor and his fellow captain for several minutes until the decision was made and they retook their positions to resume the game.

Simon had to admit he himself was distracted as the quaffle was in their court, the boy letting Patroclus and Selina handle it paying more attention to his beater and keeper who the captain feared might soon come to blows as well as the seekers rallying for the possession of the snitch. He sighed at the final tweet ending the game and announcing a loss for Gryffindor, the sixth year trying his best however to keep his spirits up for his team's sake.

Turning his broom, Simon flew down to the ground of the pitch perhaps moving far quicker then he might have under normal circumstances after a loss but as first Carter and then Josh landed he knew he had to get there to head things off even if Vindictus was right there. He jumped off his broom once he was close enough to the ground and rushed towards the two.

"JOSH!!!!" Simon exclaimed grabbing his friend by the shoulders just a moment too late, the punch having already hit Carter. "It was an accident and not Carter's fault!" he added struggling to pull his best friend further away from the injured keeper.

Freya saw their seeker, Evelyn got hit by the Quaffle and the worst part was she was falling of her broom. When she hit the grounds the blonde noticed that their seeker was lies motionless. Merlin, she hopes that the fifth year was okay. Then she saw her captain replaced their injury seeker.

The second year suddenly heard Prof.Vindictus's whistle and he announced that they won the game. Slowly she landed her broom with a really big grinned plaster on her faces. They won the game??!!! THEY WON THE GAME..!!!! Wuuuhhhuuuuuu..!!! It means one step closer to cup. The blonde walked towards her captain. "Congrats Captain. That was a great catch." she said smiling widely.

*GULP* It was starting already.

"Now Josh..." he said slowly backing away. He was half tempted to jump back on the broom that was in his hand. But, he didn't think of that near quick enough as before he knew it he was getting punched in the face.

Carter pinched the bridge of his nose hoping to stop the bleeding before it started.

"I didn't do it on purpose mate!" he shouted back through his pinched nose. (Which just made him sound funny.) Whatever happened to mates first?

Besides if he had done it on purpose... than he wouldn't have hit Evelyn. He knew better than that. Much better.

At least now Simon was there (hopefully restraining Josh long enough for him to talk.)

He then gave Simon a 'Gee. You couldn't have shown up two seconds ago.' look.

Why hadn't Carter figured that Josh should have been the first person he should worry about.

And why hadn't he learned to not hit those balls so hard?

Vindictus saw the first punch and hurried over to the beginnings of a melee. He stepped in front of Carter while Simon had Josh pinned to the ground. "Knock it off, you two!" he growled. "Shake hands with Slytherin, and then deal with whatever it is you're fighting about in the locker room."
