Kurumi boarded the Hogwarts Express glad that the year had come to an end. At first, she didn't want it to be over...now...she couldn't wait to be back home in Japan and away from the wizarding world.

Finding an empty compartment, she flopped down on the seat and looked out the window.

Katie walked around the hall and knocked on one of the doors, she opened it up slightly to see if anyone was in there, and there was, there inside was a Gryffindor, Kurumi, Katie opened the door some more so Kurumi could see who it was, "Hey Kurumi" Katie said smiling sweetly.

"Mind if I, um, sit with you?" Katie asked pointing to the seat opposite her.

Her arms were holding Copito, and Annie could feel the trembling coming from her stomach and transferring to him. She was not so happy. This would be her last ride on the train, and yet, the last time she'd get to see so many people because time and distance would separate them, most of them, at least.

After a couple of compartments that she found full, Annie finally reached somewhere she could sit down, next to her cat and her bag covering her lap. There wasn't much to say, but she just wanted to talk to someone before the ride would end.

Caroline got on board the Hogwarts express. She wasn't ready to leave this morning. By the time it was time to borad they couldn't get back to Kings Cross soon enough. She walked by a door where she heard a familar voice. "Katie?" she said as she open the door. When she was fully into the compartment she also seen Kurumi. "Hey, Kurumi! She smiled. brightly to both girls. "Mind if I sit with you two?" She asked.

Kurumi looked over her shoulder and idly scratched Walnut behind the ears when she heard voices, one after the other, enter the compartment. She wished that she had cast Colloportus on the doors.

She didn't really want to talk with anyone, unless they were Lexi. Maybe she should go to another compartment? She didn't want to be a mood breaker or make the other two girls feel uncomfortable, but she really didn't feel like being all hyper either.

Instead, she held Walnut close to her chest and scooted closer towards the widnow.

"If you want to," she said quietly turning her gaze back out the window.

While the ending feast was one proof that the term was officially over, the arrival of the train to London was the cement that made it all so real. WIth his trunk fully packed, Simon made his way to the train station with the rest of his housemates and fellow students Depositing his trunk in the storage, the sixth year moves to get on at the nearest open doorway to where his carriage had left him off which happened to be the front. He walked down the center aisle debating finding friends or just settling into an empty compartment and wait for them to come to him.

Katie smiled as she heard what Kurumi had to say, she sat opposite her and smiled, she then saw Caroline, Katie quickly hoped off her seat and gave her partner in crime a hug, "Hey Caroline!" Katie giggled. She looked at the two, not knowing what to say, but then got an idea.

"I can't believe the year is over already" Katie said looking at the two, wondering what they might say in reply.

Caroline frowned a little. She felt bad for Kurumi, But she had something that she hoped would make her feel better. (at least a little better) "I dont want to stay long Kurumi. I have something for you." she pulled a book out and handed it to her. Inside the book was also an invition to her house this summer. "It's my great grandmothers Weasley's cook book. I think you'll enjoy it." She smiled. Salzar her cat jumped up beside Kurumi and stiffed Walnut. "Salazar get down."

She hugged Katie back. A little suprised by her quickness. She smiled. "Hey Katie." she sat down beside her. "I know It went by quick."She smiled at Katie "Thanks for being a great partner in crime."

Kurumi turned her gaze back when Caroline still chose to speak to her despite her mood. That was rather kind of her and Kurumi gave her her full attention just in time to see the blonde handing her a cook book. "Oh...Caroline..." Kurumi blushed. "Are you sure it is alright for me to take this?"

Walnut, smelling the sent of another cat, put his ears down and began swishing his tail. What do you think YOU'RE sniffing at? It wasn't like he smelled like anything different now. He smelled like cat...with perhaps a dash of vanilla since he had been with Kurumi in the kitchens that morning.

"It's alright," Kurumi said smiling slightly as the other cat attempted to get to know Walnut. "Walnut is the one who is more upset about it."
If this cat starts sniffing my butt... Walnut's tail continued to swish back and forth as his eyes narrowed. He was far above getting into a cat fight, but it drove him insane when cats acted...well...like cats. Deciding he had had enough, the cat jumped off Kurumi's lap, glared at the other cat, sniffed the other girls' shoe and decided that she didn't smell nearly as good as Peppermint Boy, and waddled out of the compartment. It was then that he saw the familiar face of a boy he had seen in the common room often enough and followed him into a different compartment.

Perhaps he would be so willing as to give him attention? Yes? Please?

Seeing Walnut wander off, Kurumi rolled her eyes and went chasing after the cat.

She really REALLY didn't need this aggravation at the moment.

Simon had opted to just settle into a compartment of his own, finding an empty one and stepping inside. Reaching to put his broom up on the rack above the seat, the captain turned around to sit down and spotted a familiar feline standing just inside the door. His eyes glancing further up for sight of Kurumi but the girl wasn't visible behind the cat.

"Hey Walnut...decide to explore without your other half?" he asked rhetorically as he took a seat by the window, patting the seat beside him to see if the cat wanted to join him.

Well, this boy didn't smell like Peppermint Boy, but the fact that he addressed the cat by name made his little kitty fur stand on end with pride. Yep, Walnut would sit with him. The cat jumped up onto the seat, rolled onto his stomach, and began pawing at the air.

Meanwhile, Kurumi had opened up several compartments looking for the cat, and disrupted more than a few conversations in the process, until she found the one with Simon sitting in it. "H-Hey, Simon," she said sheepishly. "Have you seen....WALNUT!"

She wanted to ring the cat's neck for running off like that.

"S-Sorry, I hope he isn't bothering you."

The sixth year smiled as the feline accepted his offer and joined him on the seat, the boy unable to keep from chuckling at his antics. Simon moved to give Walnut a friendly scratch behind his ears before looking back up as he heard Kurumi's voice say his name.

"Yes I would say I have indeed seen him," he replied even after she saw the cat herself laying down at her side. "And no he hasn't been bothering me so don't worry," Simon assured her. "You're welcome to join us," he added with a friendly smile before finishing figuring Walnut might have run out of another compartment to come find him. "That is if you aren't sitting anywhere else."

Vashti made it onto the train a little later than she'd intended, but she kept her head down as she walked briskly down the corridor, glancing out of the corner of her eye at each compartment she passed, searching for an empty one. If any of the compartments she passed she didn't notice. Quite soon, still towards the front of the train even, she found and empty one, which she entered quickly, shutting the door abruptly behind her. She let her trunk simply sit in front of one of the seats, not at all in the mood to lift it onto the shelf above. She then plopped herself at the end of the seat nearest the window and let her currently dry eyes simply stare out of it. So far, she had been able to avoid crying, but she probably wouldn't be able to hold it in for the whole trip...

Kyle had finally made it to the front of the train, her panic was over and well - for now that is. She was feeling smothered back there, and that was no good. She heard a familiar Gryffindor girls voice and took a step closer to the compartment, the door was still wide open. Immediately, she almost felt embarassed about peeking in - after all when you go through so many tight spaces and those tight spaces being people - it leaves you looking deshevaled, frantic, as though your hair is standing on end and her was - but than again she had just felt frantic moments before. Looking over her shoulder to check if anyone had followed her she sighed, no one had atleast now she could relax a bit. "Hey Kurumi, Simon" she smiled, "can I er - er - join you guys...its just the emptiest compartment i've found and, well...honestly trying to avoid a certain person" she admitted shrugging her shoulder sheepishly, she noticed her owl was flying by the window watching her.

That couldn't help but make her smile, seeing a little tawny owl flying at the speed of a train was quite a feat to see after all they normally were so slow compared to other owls.

"No, I'm not," she shrugged taking a seat next to Walnut who seemed to be in hog heaven at the moment with all the attention he was being given. Or would the correct phrase be kitty heaven? Either way, Walnut was certainly enjoying himself. "I've actually just left another compartment...I...I couldn't handle everyone being to cheerful..."

Kurumi watched Walnut for a moment before looking up at Simon.

"Simon, have you ever had a girlfriend?"

Simon smiled absently as the cat responded positively to his attention, giving him a few more scratches as he listened to Kurumi's answer. He tilted his head slightly to the second year being against cheerfulness when she was usually so chipper herself, the sixth year reminded she had seemed a bit saddened in recent days especially near the end of the feast. At her question, a lightbulb seemed to go off making him wonder if the topic was why she had been so blue.

The captain didn't dwell much though as to answer brought up sad memories of his own and he swallowed as he gathered his words. "Yes...I did for most of last year," he finally spoke. "Not sure if you remember Viky...a fellow sixth---well fifth year. Thought we'd still be together this year too..." He broke off for the moment, almost glad when they were joined by a familiar Ravenclaw.

"Hi Kyle," he greeted back, debating her asking to stay with them as his eyes flitted back to Kurumi for a moment ready to give her the final choice. "Sure...I'm ok with it..."

"Thanks" Kyle smiled, and stepped in taking a seat on the opposite bench, she gave a small smile, and noting the tone in the room, decided it was best not to bring up cheery things - then agian she wasn't exactly in a cheery mood. She felt like giving them both hugs for what had happened, and holding back, all that happened as her foot twitched slightly.

"Hey Kurumi," she gave her a soft, understanding look one that clearly read I've had my heart broken before, I know how you feel. Which was true the Ravenclaw had indeed been heartbroken just a year before when a rather long winded relationship ended with a letter saying I've found someone else. You should to. Thinking of the letter made her heart pang slightly it wasn't even said as nicely as she had just remembered it - she always sugar coated it so she wouldn't break down and cry infront of people she hardly knew. After all, it was more along the lines of Oh I met a girl and we eloped but she didn't want to think anymore on the subject. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a box of tissues, a box of chocolates, and a little box of candies from around the world that her brother Eddie had given her. The ones left were the ones from Japan she was saving them for last, but now it seemed that Kurumi needed them more than she did.

"Er, Kurumi, here its all Japanese candies my brother Ed gave them to me when well...I didn't have a well - great year last year." She was glad her ex had moved to France - but not at the same time since she lived part of her summer months in france normally so now she'd be living in a small loft her her sister Charlotte and her aunt Alicia. "Oh, and I'm sorry about walking in on that conversation - but, I-I'm sorry you had to go through that." She sighed, giving them both soft smiles, as she knew the question Kurumi had asked was probably a loaded - have you been broken up with question. Atleast, it sounded that way.

Kurumi shook her head. She hadn't known many of the older students last term seeing as she had been far to shy to talk with any of them. The only one she had talked to in great length outside of classes had been Cam. "S-S-Sorry, I don't think I remember her," she frowned as she began to play with Walnut's fluffy tail.

Her head snapped around when she heard someone else enter. Kurumi wasn't ready to talk about this in front of someone she hardly knew. It was very personal and frightening for Kurumi - everything that had been going on. She had never felt such joy and sorrow all in one year. It had been hard enough for her to bring up the subject with Simon.

If the Ravenclaw wanted to stay, perhaps she would have to go somewhere else. Maybe she could find her Mama Lion and Papa Snake.

Instead of answering, she just sat there looking uncomfortable.

Simon noticed as Kurumi didn't respond verbally about whether she was ok with Kyle joining them, but the ackwardness still seemed to be there around all of them. He smiled softly at his fellow sixth year as she tried to be understanding even though neiither of them knew the true extent of what was going on with the younger Gryffindor. "That's ok...not like she's around to remember much anyway."

The captain debated what to say or what to question since even at 16 he was unfamiliar with the minds of girls as he was at Kurumi's age. Not to mention she seemed to have locked herself up at the thought of actually voicing why she had asked such a question of him. "Was there...was there something on your mind?" he finally asked, his voice filled with gentle tentativeness, not wanting to push her away.

Kyle looked up, "Um...well...kind of felt like this er, luckily he's a seventh year...was almost stalking me, but I'll be fine..." She spoke queitly, almost too quietly too be heard she felt like she was intruding, after all - and was still, pretty much standing by the door. In a minute or so it might be safe to leave, or to try and leave. She thought, knowing the compartment her stuff was in was pretty-much off the question. She left the tissues on the seat, as she chewed on the edge of her lip before speaking again. "I think" she whispered at the end, hoping they didn't catch that bit. Her lack of confidence in the moment wouldn't promote their confidence in her fine-ness.

"If you want - I can go...it alright" she offered Kurumi, politely knowing it was the least she could do.

Trc ealked to the front of the train. He sees Kyle. He does not want to interrupt her conversation.

Hugo jumped into the train. Just in time! He panted looking around. Now, to find Kurumi.

Well, it's not like he wasn't in the mood to be around too many people, it was that Jake sort of happened and he was mentally exhausted somehow.

Everyone knew that the back of the train was the place to be when you wanted to know EVERYTHING that happened during the train ride back home, that's why he didn't mind to be at the front this time. Though, in all fairness, he couldn't remember where he sat on the way to Hogwarts.

Treyen had already exchanged addresses with Rae, and while he was so looking forward to summer, there was always that feeling of leaving that wandered in his head.

Pushing all that aside, the boy knocked on this particular compartment door, and slided it open, rather quickly. After the door was opened a knut had fallen to the floor, the knut that Aslan got used to play with, so, his eyes were down staring at it while he started to ask something to whoever was occupying the compartment, "Sorry, do you mind--" eyes up, "Vashti!" he said, with a small smile directed to the girl, "Er, I hope you don't mind but I'm joining you in here," and it didn't seem like Vashti had a saying in it, since he was already picking up the knut and walking inside.

His backpack went to the shelf. There was no Thaddeus or Gilderoy with him, he'd left them with the rest of his luggage, they'll be okay there. The Hufflepuff glanced towards the trunk on the floor and was about to ask if she needed help with it, but his eyes got lost in the window, good thing he was sitting as far away from the window as possible or he would've lost sight of Vashti.

Fee pulled her trunk behind her,glitter that thin was so heavy.Gladly she could roll it over the floor now she was in.Pheewww.Stupid packing that took her so long.All compartments would be full by now.Meehh,not that Fee didnt like getting to know new people but still.Walking around searching for not uber full compartment at least the girl spotted a familiar head not far away.Smiling widely she approached the guy and tipped on the shoulder."Hey handsome",the girl wiggled her eyebrows.
