Emily smiled as Beth spoke. She knew Beth was probably worried about being Muggle-born, but Beth didn't know how many people really were clueless about the wizarding world
"No, I don't have an owl. My parents wouldn't let me get one until at least my second year. This may surprise you, but I've never been anywhere in the wizarding world. My mam and dad wanted me to have as muggle life as possible before school... so I can 'appreciate the wizarding world' better"
Emily sighed and watched Star snoozing in Beth's lap
"So I only know things by what my mam and sister have told me and the books I've read. Other than that I'm pritty much clueless. That was my first trip to Diagon Alley as well."
Emily sucked on her quill
"But anyway..." she looked out the window "I do hope we'll be arriving soon. I need to get some fresh air!"

Lizzie had honestly given up on finding anyone she knew. All her friends had obviously caught a different train or something (she knew that was impossible, but that's what it seemed like). Checking her watch, she came to the conclusion that there was about... ooh, an hour or so left of this train journey. She didn't want to spend it alone on the hallway, so she decided to be brave.

Sticking her head into the closest compartment, she gave the occupants a smile. 'Hi! D'you mind if I join you? Everywhere else is full and I can't seem to find my friends...' she trailed off, hoping that they wouldn't think she was really weird or desperately needy. That would be embarrassing.

Finn. Ha? Who was Finn? Josh did not know someone called Finn. But now it looked like he needed to know who Finn was. If he was someone who dared to mess with his girl that Finn was surely going to be in trouble. So, he needed to know who that Finn was like right now!

So, before he could take a step away from him Josh caught the prefect from his collar and spoke to him. ''Who is Finn?'' Too bad whoever Finn was, he did not know that he was with Joshua Carter's girlfriend.

Alec was sitting in his compartment reading his novel. This was no his forty-fifth, no wait, forty-sixth time to read it. He listened to the noises that traveled through the car, all of the people that were reuniting with old friends. He thought back to the school that he had left behind. Sure he had had a few friends but for the most part he was kind of socially awkward.

This was when he heard someone open up the door to his compartment. It was a girl. And a pretty girl at that. Wow a pretty girl had actually come into his compartment. This must have been a day of miracles. Maybe Hogwarts wouldn't be all that bad. She looked around his age, maybe a year younger. "Oh ummm Hi" Alec said to her as his book fumbled out of his hands. "No, no, there is plenty of room." He said giving her a smile. "I'm Alec Chambers. Of course you wouldn't know that because I'm new. And well I don't know who you are because, well like I said I'm knew." He said realizing that he was rambling. "Sorry. I'm Alec" He said trying to seem much more normal this time.

Ellie laughed a little. Luckily she packed her trunk the night before. "Nice going." She winked at him. Even though she had done the same thing. She smiled. "I just can't wait to get to Hogwarts. And that makes me sound like a nerd. She laughed at herself. Aagh, she'd been waiting all summer in the Leaky Cauldron, just waaaiting for school to begin. And now, they were so close.

"Glad to hear it." She said with a smile. She looked at him and wanted to say something. She felt like she should... but for some reason it seemed like Alex was a walking confundus charm, making her speechless all the time.



She noticed Tay watching her and Alex talk to each other with a smile on her face. She blushed little bit and leaned back in her seat. Ellie couldn't help but thinking Tay knew something she didn't. "Yeah I bet!" She said. "With all this Draven business." she winked at the blonde and gently nudged her side. She glanced up at Alex quickly. She knew Tay was completely over her relationship with Alex, but she didn't know how Alex felt about it all. She assumed it was fine though, he was sitting with her after all. "But yes, I'm ready to get back to structure too. Not the homework though." Ugh, homework.

Oh, Fee! "Fee!" She exclaimed. "I'm sorry, I hardly noticed you there." Wow, way to sound like a jerk, Ellie. "Hey, it's going great. You?" She asked with a big smile, hoping she didn't think she was insincere.

Catching that worry in Joshie's face, Evan's evil grin only widened. There. The badge had nothing to do with his sympathy a moment ago, it was all because the responsibility. Taking his time enjoying the dork's fear, he simply focused on his face. Mwaha. He was enjoying every moment of this torture. If he'd broken his nose, he was going to break his heart. Through Evelyn. How about that?

As Josh caught him from his collar, the grin evaporated from his face as he got serious. Drawing his wand silently, he poked the Gryffindor's ribs with it.

"You'd better drop my collar and step away," he said calmly. Not only was he good at any attacking spells, he was now also a prefect.

Surely Joshie-chick knew better than this.

"Of course i will",Fee laughed,"how could i resist that puppy eyes?"And there it was again, boyd could do the same as girls could.Sooooo Alex had noo right to complain about her incredebly cute puppy face.Hah, gottcha.

"Hopefully i will never see that dark side",the blonde nodded.Not only because she knew he could get mad but she hoped they would stay this way forever.And than he came to Justin.Fee knew there was something up with him."Uhh yeah we are friends",the Slytherin said looking worried right into her besties eyes,"why?"Was there something wrong?!


"Oh thats okay",Fee giggled letting her eyes wander over to Alex.They were so crushing on eachother.New lovestory and that with hrer best friend,This term was going to be soooo interresting.She would observe them carefully, hehe."Its going good too",the blonde nodded,"cant believe we are almost their."Good that Fee had changed into her robes earlier.

Liz smiled and slid through the door into the compartment, sitting down opposite the boy. 'Hey,' she said, glad that she'd found somewhere to sit. 'Thanks for letting me sit here,' she added politely. 'Nice to meet you, Alex. I'm Elizabeth Pointer, but you can call me Lizzie or Liz,' she told him, returning the smile.

'Oh, you're new too?' she said happily. Yay! Another new person! 'Me too. Did you transfer? I was homeschooled...' she trailed off there, realising that Alec might actually want to talk and that she should shut up. She always rambled on when she met new people. It was a habit that she had to stop soon, because it often made her look like an idiot.

Alex chuckled and shook his head. "Nah you don't sound like a nerd." he assured her. "Me pointing out that I packed my things this morning makes me a nerd." he grinned wincing slightly.

So now what to say? They had stated they both thought they sounded like nerds and that they were both feeling good. He ran one hand through his hair trying to come up with something clever to say. Anything would suffice as long as it would impress her and totally sweep her off her feet. "So... You haven't met that weird man from Knockturn Alley again right?" Blink, blink. Oh well it didn't exactly impress her but at least he had said something. Success!

Then he saw he greeting Fee as well. Hoold on! "You two know each other?" he asked surprised glancing from Fee to Ellie. He lingered slightly on Fee with a look that said You've got a lot of explaining to do.

Mwaha, success again! Alex beamed at his best friend happily. "Have a soft spot for my puppy eyes?" he inquired, because then he might use them more often to get what he wanted, heh.

"It's not all bad." he assured her with a grin. He only used it to protect his friends after all, where was the bad in that? Hm.

They were friends, Alex nodded slowly and then shrugged. "I don't know, I've just heard a lot of weird things about him from a friend." he said casually but with a warning his tone. "Then again I don't know him personally." but that wasn't just a rumour, proof was proof. Sheridan's hair had been pink, and she was banned from Malkin's...

Alec reached down to pick up the book that he had nervously dropped. He had never been a very social person. It wasn't that he didn't try, he had always tried, he was just a bit of well... a geek. "Nice to meet you too Lizzie" Alec said giving her a bright smile. The book fell out of his hands once again and he finally gave up and just tossed it to the seat next to him which was currently unoccupied.

Well this conversation was just getting better and better. Lizzie was new too and she rambled. Ya this girl was definitely cool in his books. "Yes I transfered" He said with one large nod of his head. "I came to live with my sister this summer and she lives in England so Hogwarts here I come" He said with an awkward laugh. "What year are you?" He asked her tilting his head to the side a bit.

Liz looked at the book, but it was face-down on the chair, so she couldn't see which book it was. 'What book is that you're reading?' she asked Alec with a smile. She loved to read, and she read an awful lot of books, so it was one of the few topics that she felt comfortable talking about.

'So, where did you transfer from?' Liz asked curiously. She'd already met two Durmstrang transfers, so it seemed that Durmstrang wasn't so popular. Maybe because they apparently practised a lot of Dark Magic? Anyway... 'I'm a Third Year. How about you?' she asked. 'Do you know what house you'll be in yet?'

She then looked over at Alice and smiled gently. She was glad to hear that she had friends waiting for her back home, it would make the transition back into the 'normal' world easier. Then a small frown tickled Kurumi's lips. "I never really got to know what it is like to be normal," she explained. "Growing up...I only had my brothers, my father, and at times my mother. People at my non-magical school ignored me. No, not ignored, went out of there way to make sure they didn't want me here." Kurumi turned to face Alice and looked directly into her eyes. "You know how in the wizarding world there are those who do not like muggleborns or people who are half-bloods? Well, in my small town it was the same...only it was a matter of being half-Japanese...which I am."

As the other boy poked Josh with his wand, the Gryffindor boy raised his eyebrows and when the Slytherin prefect wanted him to drop his collar, he stared at him for a moment or so. If he wanted him drop his collar, he had better show him where that Finn is. Yes, he had better show him where his girl was.

''Where is she, Prefect?'' Josh asked as if he was the only Slytherin he had seen around. Actually there were more Slytherins around to ask about her but Josh chose Evan him being the prefect because he probably saw where Rose was while patrolling the corridors.

Lilly-anne made her way to the back of the train with Felidea curled up in her arms glancing though the compartment windows hoping to find somewhere she could sit. She had been quite distant from her friends after her fathers death so she wasnt sure if any of them would want to talk to her. She sighed not seeing any one she knew she stopped at a compartment opening the door slightly,
"um.. would it be okay if i joined you" she asked the occupents shyly

Alec looked down at the book that was beside him. He flipped it over to show the front to Lizzie. "The Catcher In The Rye" He told her. "It's my favorite. I've actually read it forty-six times" He told her. "What about you? Do you like to read?" he asked.

So he had been right in guessing that she was a year younger than him. Tis didn't really shock him. Alec was generally right about most things. "I'm a fourth year" He told her. "I transfered here from a school in Italy. Its where my parents lived" He said making sure to push out any thought that the mention of his parents might bring up. "I'm thinking that I will either get into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. I'm not really much of a brave person in case you didn't notice, and well I'm not a bad boy either" Alec said giving a shrug. "Wh about you? What house?"

Evan didn't remove his wand from where it was, and when Josh didn't move a muscle, he pressed it even more into his body. He wished mentally Don't be so stupid, Josh... But he kept his stare in the eyes, not moving any of his muscles neither other than his pressing wand. If only Josh tried anything--ANYthing stupid, he was dead. And the Slytherin wasn't kidding.

"Don't be silly Josh and back off. Now," he warned once more, not taking a step back himself. Did Josh want to insist on being too close to him? Well, this wouldn't do any good. Especially with that record of his in detentions. Unless he let him go, the prefect wouldn't tell anything but spells of hexes.

Fee needed to hold back her chuckling when she noticed the look on Alex' face as she greeted Ellie.Ohh this would end in a bestie talk later.Hehe."Yes we met at the three broomsticks not that long ago.",she explained.It was soo obvious that they liked eachother,how could they not see it?!

The blonde raised an eyebrow at her best friend."Maybe",she laughed,"but you know you got a weak spot for mine too."So if he would start enough she could shoot right back at him.Hehe.Good best friends syndrome.Really good."But you really look insanly cute when you do that",she winked.Not that the girls already liked him or something...

"I know and actually its really sweet that you protect your friends like that",she nodded,"i feel safe when you are around.But notn just because of that."More because she felt comp,ete when he was with her and he always understood and never judged her.


"What weird things?",Fee asked confused, Justin was such a nice person.There random talks were just soo cool, okay maybe he was a huge prankster but that didnt make a bad person out of you did it?!"That friend isnt Sheridan by any chance?",the Skytherin asked.If so it would be no wonder, they hated eachother.right, maybe Alex should get to know Justin.They werent that different.

Coming to a halt as a boy walked up to him and started talking. Hyun looked with a frown on his features at him. Why did he look so familiar? Hyun eyed the boy for a few seconds, trying to think where he had met him...if he even had met this kid! But when he heard his sentence he chuckled.

"Nah , man. Atleast not today, it's no fun when people see it coming" he said and stuck his tongue out. "What's up?" Hyun grinned and punched Alex's shoulder, not hard but just in a play ful manner. His grin stayed on his face when he noticed that Alex had company. "Hello" he said with a tiny nod towards the other two girls.

Liz grinned. The Catcher In The Rye. 'I love that book!' she exclaimed happily. 'Although, I can't say I've read it quite as many times as you have...' she said, chuckling. Forty-six? That was A LOT. 'Yes, I love to read. My favourite book is probably... erm... To Kill A Mockingbird. Have you read it?' she asked.

Italy. Wow. Liz would love to go to Italy. It seemed so romantic and pretty. It must have been amazing to live there. 'Oh, so did your parents move with you, or did they stay in Italy when you came to live with your sister?' she asked. Hmm, maybe that was being a bit too nosy? She blushed, and wished she could take back some of the things she said. Right. Moving on with conversation seemed the best idea. 'I think I might be Hufflepuff too,' she said. 'I'm certainly not brave; so there's no chance of Gryffindor, and I don't think I'll be in Slytherin either. I suppose there's Ravenclaw, but I don't even know any magic yet...' she stopped, realising that she was rambling again. How awkward.

Phew, not a nerd. She laughed, though she wasn't really sure how packing his things this morning made him a nerd... Oh well. She liked hearing his voice.

Ellie blinked at the sudden subject change, but was somewhat relieved to have something to talk about. She chuckled. "Nah, I decided once was good enough for me. That little road trip was enough adventure for a while. No more Knockturn Alley in my book." She smiled and absently reached behind her ear and touched the small spot where the man had charmed her hair off. She desperately hoped it would grow back soon. Luckily, it wasn't visible unless she pulled her hair back.

She laughed at Alex's reaction to her knowing Fee. "Yeah, we met at the Three Broomsticks, I think. Just a few days ago." She grinned as he glared at Fee. "Small world, huh?"

Oh good, she was laughing about it. Ellie noticed Fee look at Alex with a knowing look. First Tay, and now Fee too? Did everyone know something that Ellie didn't? Humph. It sure seemed like it. She looked suspiciously at Fee. "I know!" She said happily, looking at Fee in her Slytherin robes. "I should probably change into my robes soon..." She said, her voice trailing off. Huh, three Slytherins and a Ravenclaw... She smiled, happy to be with her friends. "I wonder if there are going to be any surprises this year." She told her. The Triwizard tournament last year was packed with fun.

Alice sat, mouth gaping, she was sure she must look like a gormless goldfish but at that moment she just couldnt believe what kurumi had just told her."But thats ridiculous, you cant judge a person on their bloodline,any decent person knows that! And a whole school?! Didnt you at least meet a few friends?" Alice then realised she must have sounded terribly rude blurting out a question like that but she just couldnt imagine a whole school hating her.

"I had one friend," Kurumi smiled remembering the days she had spent with Hitomi, until that one day that had left her lying on the ground in a puddle of her own tears. "But she ended up leaving," because of me, "and then I was all alone. I would read books to, well, escape." Kurumi smiled and looked out the window again. "My story isn't a very happy one." Kurumi frowned and looked down at her black leather school shoes. "There are lots of things in this world that don't make sense," she said looking back at Alice. "Still, everything happens for a reason."

Alec couldn't help but raise his eyes just a litte when Elizabeth said that she loved the book as well. "Really, most everyone that I have talked to has never even heard of it" He laughed just a little as she commented on how many times he had read it. Thats just how he was though. "Of course I've read it." He said giving her smile as she mentioned To Kill A Mockingbird. "I've read that one eleven times." he said with a nod of his head.

"Ya I guess Italy was pretty nice. I like England better, but that may be because I just like speaking English better than Italian" He told her. It may also have something to do with the fact that Italy held some not so cool memories for him, but well he wasn't about to bring those up. But wait no Lizzie beat him to it. "Actually they died in muggle car wreck last year." He told her. He didn't act like he was upset to talk about it or anything, he was just simply stating the facts. "My sister works for the ministry so I just came to live with her" He added. Alec nodded as Liz said that she thought she might end up in the same house as him. Well it might be convient to have the first person that he had met to be in the same house. Who knew they might actually end up being friends. "Wait did you just say that you don't know any magic?" He asked her looking a bit shocked. How could someone live without knowing any magic??

"yeh i guess so" Alice felt sorry for the poor girl, with all of her own anxiety and social problems her life had never been easy but at least she had always had friends, though she really wasn’t sure she would for much longer. “At least we have Hogwarts" As Alice said the name of her new school she felt the familiar knot in her stomach that she had felt almost continuously for the past few weeks. And a thought popped into her head, would going to Hogwarts be such a good thing? Would she be able to make any new friends? She realised then she had been staring into space for a while and slowly shifted in her seat to look out the window hoping watching the passing scenery would calm her a little.

It was so funny how Ellie reacted the exact same way when Alex was totally surprised they knew eachother.The best friend and the crush.What a coincedence actually.

"Oh yeees you can already see the lights of Hogwarts",Fee smiled sweetly when she saw that look of Ellie's. She would figure out soon enough.Fee didnt want to be the party pooper."Oh i heard some teachers were centaur's these term",the blonde told her friend.That would get interesting.The little blonde had never seen a centaur and having them as teachers would be such a huge experience.Seemed like there were some specials every term,pretty cool to think about.
