'My dad made me read it for an English thing he was trying to teach me. I didn't want to at the time, but after I'd finished it I realised that it was actually an amzing book,' Liz explained. It really was great. 'Ah, looks like I beat you this time. I've read that one fourteen times,' she said happily. It was absolutely her favourite book ever.

Italian. And that right there was the downside of visiting other countries - Liz had absolutely no memory whatsoever. She'd tried learning a few simple phrases in Spanish when she'd gone to Barcelona with her auntie, but by the time she arrived she'd forgotten them all. She'd been studying French for six years, and she still couldn't remember any. 'I hate having to learn other languages. I just can't remember any of it,' she said with sigh.

'Oh, Alec. I'm so sorry,' Liz said quietly. She really wished she hadn't said anything at all now. She was such an idiot sometimes. She didn't go on about it though, because that was something she hated when people learnt about her dad. She'd found it was easier when people just said they were sorry or something, and then got on with the conversation. What had they been talking about? Oh yes, her lack of magic. 'Yes, that's right. I'm half-and-half, see - mum's a muggle, dad's a wizard - and my mum didn't know about magic until about two months ago. My dad never told her, and he and I agreed that he'd start teaching me magic at thirteen. It sounds really weird, I know, but he didn't want me to learn it all. I think he just wanted me to be normal,' she explained to Alec. She was aware that all this made her family sound very strange, but she wasn't that bothered. Her family was strange.

"Hogwarts is the best thing that ever happened to me," Kurumi said smiling at Alice. She could feel that Alice was beyond nervous about coming to Hogwarts. Perhaps she was even feeling unsure as to whether it was the right thing for her. She had had friends in her old life, and now she was leaving all the behind and taking her first steps into a new one. It was really scary. it had been terrifying for Kurumi and she needed to leave her old life behind. "In Japan, we have an expression that translates to if you do not enter the tiger's cave, you will not catch its cub in English." She paused to let Alice come up with her own interpretation of the words. "Everything is an opportunity. A chance for us to better ourselves. It's up to us to make sure we take advantage of every opportunity we're presented."

Alice sat and thought about everything Kurumi has said,yeh it made sense but still..."I guess it is just, well, I’m sort of having to do this whole Hogwarts thing alone. My dad doesn’t like magic and my mum and sisters are all busy and i can’t ever talk to my friends about it. I can’t tell them i'm a witch obviously and i have had to lie to them about everything im doing this year and i will have to for the next seven years, well i will if they bother with me for that long. I cant even write to them because i'm pretty sure it would freak them out if an owl suddenly flew through their window in the middle of the day just to chuck a letter at them and leave. I know Hogwarts is going to be brilliant but all the new people, new teachers,all the mad new lessons and living so far from home..." Alice sighed and slumped back in her chair. " I'm not exactly fond of change and im just not sure if im going to be able to cope."

Ellie grinned, incredibly excited for the train to get to Hogwarts. Meh, she'd change sooner or later. She was just finally relaxing. Ooh, centaurs? "Centaurs, really? I've never seen one. Except in pictures, but that doesn't count." she said, waving her hand. She had always imagined meeting a centaur... and she had no idea what she would say to one. She imagined it would be quite scary and intimidating. "Have you ever seen one?" she asked the blonde. She remembered when she was little she told her father she wanted a pet centaur. Times have changed. Centaurs aren't toys... She smiled to herself.

Tay laughed and smiled at Ellie- "Yeah.... it rocked." she told Ellie honestly with a little wink and a flick of her curls. "Homework- I hate that word- seen as we don't even get to go home to do it." she laughed- "So... what's your fave subject?" she asked Ellie curiously.

"My mother doesn't like magic either," Kurumi said holding her wand in her hands. "In fact, she hates it and fears it. All my brothers came to Hogwarts, but I was told that they were just studying abroad. I only learned that it was all lies last year when I got my letter." She put a hand on Alice shoulder. "Change can be scary because it is different. I was a change for my town, being half, and people ran away from me or hurt me." She didn't mean for their conversation to get so heavy all of a sudden. "I know what it's like, being unsure and so afraid that you can't even move your fingers and toes. If you ever need someone to talk to, I can be a good listener." She smiled and handed Alice the box of pumpkin cookies for her to take another. "Things always have a way of turning out in the end. You'll see."

Alice sat up and smiled, taking a pumpkin cookie she replied, "yeh,I'm just happy i managed to meet someone so nice so early on! And i didn’t mean to get all negative and stuff , I am determined to have fun in my first term...i might just have to have fun and be really anxious at the same time." taking a bite of the cookie and giggling quietly at her own joke Alice turned to look out the window. "Do you think we will be able to see Hogwarts soon? I feel like I’ve been on this train for days!

Eugh, homework was the worst. Ellie tapped her chin and thought for a second. "I really love Astronomy. It's always fun to learn more about the stars and planets and how they move." She smiled. She liked potions too, but she really sucked at it. "What about you?" she inquired.

Kurumi giggled. "You haven't been looking out the window then," she said pointing behind the young girl's head at the castle whose glowing reflection was in the lake in front of it. "You better change into your robes soon. I think we will be there soon." Kurumi smiled and stood up. "Don't worry, I am sure you will have a fantastic first term."

"I quite like Ancient Runes- but then yeah, I like Astronomy. To be honest, I like most of the subjects- but I just don't get Arithmancy- or whatever it's even called- I hate it so much." Tay laughed, smiling at Ellie. "But, oh well- just a few more years to deal with it..."

Ellie nodded with a smile. "Yeah, I like most of them too. Arithmancy isn't my favorite either." she chuckled. It didn't make any sense to her. Wow, she only had four years left. Sure, that sort of seemed like a lot, but the years had flown by!

"So do you play any quidditch? Or just watch?" she asked curiously.

Zoey felt the tension in the air expand, before dieing off almost completely.

She peered around her map and looked at the girl who had once wanted to strangle her. Slytherin... wasn't that one of the house things? ... Yeah, that was the one Jimbo said he was in. Hmm... Odd for it to also be a last name. Heh, just showed how little she knew about Hogwarts. Ah, well, she'd figure it all out once she got there.

Zoey chuckled at Ari's deduction. "Indeed. I would be Zoey, not Ari." she set her magazine/map down on her lap and gave the Damian girl a sort of awkward half-smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Slytherin." she greeted, before picking her magazine/map up again.

"I don't have brothers or sisters." Cass said with a shrug as she lightly stroked Ice's fur. Then she glanced at Alex who was laughing with the girls and said as she turned back to Elle "My cousin, Alex, he's been like my brother. All the annoying and nice bits of it."

Cass rolled her eyes playfully and said with a mischievous smile "Of course Alex, that was my main intention."

Cass took a cookie from the box and took a bite. As expected, they were really really good. She smiled at Kurumi after taking a second bite, then she said "Well, they're pretty delicious for a mistake."

"We are of course." Cass said with a wide smile. Then she glanced down at Ice and said "Oh. the kitten spreading fur all over my nice clean robes is Ice, she's my new kitten."

"Definitely." Cass said with a nod "We have to find bestie bonding time in the middle of our work!"

Amidst their fun, Cass heard the compartment door open and a small girl stood outside, asking if she could come in. She smiled up and said "Sure, of course you can come in."

Another cat. Well, there was nothing wrong with cats, just Stephen didn't like them as much. "I think any small animal would catch anyone's attention while walking down the street," Stephen nodded, remembering when his brother and himself forced their parents to buy adopt Rocky. Nymphy now mentioned Quidditch. "Uh, no. I'm not really into Quidditch. I'm more of a stay-on-the-ground type of guy," Stephen chuckled, which was true. Flying was okay, but it just wasn't his thing.

"Quidditch is a wizard sport. You fly around on brooms, trying to score these balls named quaffles through hoops and the people in charge of that are called Chasers. Then there are the Beaters who beat bludgers towards the opposing people to try and score more often. The Keeper protects your side of the field so the opposing team won't score. Then there are the seekers, who are the most important players. They go after a small golden ball named the Golden Snitch and if they catch it, that team wins and the game is over," Well, that was a pretty short explanation.

Alice turned round quickly and took a proper look out the window and saw it, the huge black shape of a castle rising out the water, light blazing from its windows, "bloody hell how did i miss that?" It was… It was just...it was brilliant! And absolutely beautiful! Hearing kurumi speak Alice turned round again, with difficulty mind; it was hard to take your eyes of the view. "Right, robes. Good idea. And thank you for all your help, i hope to see you around school sometime" Alice smiled as her nerves dissolved and were replaced by pure excitement.

"Same here",Fee said,"i am excited how that will be like."But hopefully the runes teacher would stay.Fee really like her. And the charms professor for Rex.That reminded her that she hadnt seen her best malie at all.Where was he?!"Hopefully the centaurs will be nice",the blonde said,"i hate too strict teachers."One Lafay really was enough.Please world,please let them be cool.


"Oh yes how could i forget",Fee laughed.The nearer Hogwarts got the more she could feel the excitment rising.Cass,Freya and Fee to the rescue with glitter. "Ohh you got a kitten over summer?",she smiled,"how cool is that."The blonde wanted one too but she already had an owl..

Alice smiled at Stephen. "Ahhh...Thats what Quidditch is. It does seem interesting but I wouldn't join. I don't like flying." she turned to face Nymphy. "When are we going to arrive? I really want to nap in the dorm rooms." she thought to herself as she looked out the window once again but there was nothing interesting. Alice had made 2 friends on the train ride so far and one who she hasn't spoken to just yet. "Maybe Hogwarts will be a little bit more interesting now that I made some friends. I sure do hope mother isn't crying her eyes out back at home." she thought to herself and grinned at the last comment.

Alex smirked at her and nodded. "True story." he chuckled. Whenever Fee did her puppy eyes, he was so her minion. But no one needed to know that. No one. "Oh I do?" he asked her before he smirked looking around them. "Interesting, yes very interesting." Perhaps he could use it in his plan to take over the world, the whole world domination stuff.

"Good. Because I kind of promised your Savnnah to protect you." he chuckled.

"Yes it's Sheridan." he nodded slowly, how did she know that? "He turned her hair pink that sort of thing. They got into a major fight and duelled in Madam Malkin's." he said. He didn't want Fee around some guy who attacked girls in Diagon Alley that just wasn't right.

Alex grinned when Hyun stuck his tongue out, oh many very manly. "Ah so you'll just run me over when I least expect it is that it?" he grinned.
"Oh well you know, on the train to Hogwarts not much else." Stating the obvious well he didn't actually do much else. Hung out with his friends of course but he always did that.

He looked down at the cat by Hyun's feet and grinned. "How's the kitten?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows.

"Yeah I agree once was enough..." Alex nodded, although he had enjoyed the tickle fight. But that wouldn't happen again since Ellie would probably only see him as the friend who took her to Knockturn Alley. Great, juust great.

Met at the three broomsticks, occasionally of course. All coincidences. No chance. He knew Fee way too good. He smiled at Ellie before returning his glare at Fee. "Oh yes small world." Pf, like that was the reason why Fee and Ellie had met. Oh well, it was good that Ellie thought that was why.
