Small talk would be good, yeah? Yeah. She looked at the girl who seemed to be a bit younger than her. "So um. What house and year are you going to be in?" She thought that that would be good start.

Conversation, then? Okay, that works.

Ellie fully closed her magazine to talk properly, without seeming rude or anything. "I'm going into my third year. Ravenclaw." she answered. "And yourself?" Surely Violet wasn't much older than herself.

Braeden didn't feel like venturing too far back into the train this time. It was great while the ride lasted, but he hated being the last to get off once they arrived and then found no available seats at the Gryffindor table (he felt quite proud of himself for being so... calculating?).

And so, he settled for a nearly-empty compartment somewhere in the front, occupied only by a boy who looked about his age and seemed too absorbed in his book to notice him. Quietly, the boy heaved his trunk (with great, great... great difficulty; his lanky arms weren't made for heavy-lifting) up and beside the other boy's. As he struggled to push the trunk back into place, Braeden's dark eyebrows rose slightly at the golden letters emblazoned on his mystery companion's trunk. Fancy trunk, he thought with admiration. Huh. It would be nice if he had his initials on his trunk too... It would certainly make it a lot easier to tell it apart from everyone else's (and it wouldn't be the first time he had taken someone else's trunk by accident).

Braeden let out a long breath once his trunk was away and happy next to its pretty companion that just made Braeden's trunk look old and dirty. Merlin, that thing was heavy. He really needed to work on his arms (which were a bit sore now)... later.

Now that the trunk was out of the way, Braeden was free to plop down on the seat opposite to the other boy in the compartment. He was quiet for a moment, just examining this curious character for a brief moment before his dark eyes fell to the book the boy was holding. Oooooh, Charles Dickens.

"Ooooh, Charles Dickens."

Braeden tended to just sort of repeat whatever his mind thought as it was being thought.

Now he felt a little bad for interrupting the boy so rudely like that. "Oh-- sorry, please, keep reading... don't mind me," he quickly added, giving a small apologetic smile (that looked rather dorky; but it was hard not to seem a little dorky when you're Braeden).

It took a few minutes before Roderigo tore his eyes away from the happenings of Pip, Miss Havisham, and Estella and noticed that there was another student in the compartment with him. Just after his sudden realization, the young man in front of him randomly blurted out the author of the book Roderigo was reading. Chuckling softly, he lowered the book and stretched a smile across his face.
"Do you like Dickens too?" he asked. "He's one of my favorite authors." he placed a small piece of paper that Roderigo had made into a bookmark into the book to save his place, and placed the book at his side. Leaning forward ever so slightly, his dark emerald eyes scanned the man in front of him. The boy had a lighter complexion than Roderigo's, though that wasn't saying much because he himself was barely tan. But he seemed nice. Roderigo analyzed people that way, he was too sure why, but he seldom found a person he didn't get along with. Deciding to take initiative, he leaned forward and reached out to Braeden.
"My name is Roderigo," he said through a hybrid Spanish and British accent. "Roderigo De Lacerda."

Melrose looked out the window to all of the students that were on the platform. She looked back at Elliot. "So what year are you in?" Melrose asked him.

Melrose nodded. "Well it is when you can afford the clothes in Paris which I'm lucky enough to be rich but I don't let all of the money go to my head. I don't go shopping that much only in the summertime and on my birthday if I'm not in school but I normally am in school because my birthday is in October." Melrose blabbed on. "I'm sorry I'm rabbling." Mel told him.

"I just assume it because I don't know that many people here." Melrose told him. "I take it I'm right? Where did you go before I came here?"

When she agreed to take their conversation into a compartment, Elliott nodded and followed in after her. "I'll be a fifth year this year. And yourself?" She seemed around his age. Close to it, at least.

And then she started talking about clothes. And money. And summertime. And birthdays, and whoa she could really talk your ear off! He smiled politely though, and listened, and when she apologized for rambling, he shook his head. "No, it's nothing." He too was fortunate enough to come from a somewhat wealthy background, but he skimmed over the fact and asked further about her liking of Paris. "And do you like living in a big city like Paris? I'm sure you can get tired of tourists scampering around the city of love."

She was right, and he had said as much. "I previously attended Durmstrang, but I'm enthusiastic about Hogwarts." And the houses.. hmm. He wondered which he'd be sorted into.

Elle was dumbfounded as she saw the Hogwarts Express for the enth time. She had been here to say good bye to her brothers many years before, but this time, she was going to ride in it. Her brothers were with their friends, looking for good seats while they left Elle here to wait for her friends' arrivals. They knew it was safe so they were confident on leaving her. Elle had always been a brave little girl. Her parents dropped them off at the station but had to leave since they had some jobs to do.

"It's okay, Elizabeth Woods. You're a fierce girl, so anyone who decides on hurting you will not have a chance." She reassured herself as she stood by a post, cage in hand and a large heavy suitcase beside her. She was wearing her own Hogwarts uniform. Boy was it nice! It felt so comfy and luxurious at the same time.

Elle looked around, tiptoed since everyone was way taller than her. Where were her friends? She must be too early..

She had met a few nice guys here at Hogwarts but the had gone to Hogwarts for a while now and this boy hasn't. It's nice to meet someone that is new to Hogwarts, someone like her. "I'm in my fifth year too." Melrose said, happily. "I do like living in the big city when I'm visiting but I love where my family's house is located it's on the country side. It's very nice. We live near a lake and it's very relaxing. If you want to see my family's house you should stop by sometime and then I can show you around Paris. It's very beautiful." Mel told him. That would be great if she came and visit her and her mother and her brother. "Ooh Durmstrang. That sounds like it was fun." She told him. "So what house do you want to be in?"

Fallon smiled. She was glad that Aaron got to try out his new broom. She reached out a hand to turn it so she could get a better look at the handle. She listened as he talked about the broom. She felt herself growing a little jealous. Fallon was going to be a sixth year and still didn't have a broom of her own. She hated using the school brooms. "That's so awesome Aaron." Oooo vintage. Vintage was cool.

Aaron looked at the cat. Rubbing around Fallon's lap. He commented when his friend said he should rub the belly of the feline.... SO he did, without skipping a bet. Yeah. Aaron Anderson could show off his stuff AND rub the bellies of domesticated animals... Oh... and he knows big words.

Aaron smiled and nodded, feeling a bit bad that Fallon doesn't have a broom, either. He always felt like he was the odd one out for not having a broom of his own, but Fallon didn't have one either. Suddenly, the Captain got an idea.

"Hey, Fallon. When we get to school, would you like to try it out, a couple of times?"

Aha, another fifth year. Well then he could expect to see her in several of his lessons, no doubt. He nodded again when she explained her enjoyment of the city, though her true fancy for the countryside. "Best of both worlds," he added lightly. And then she proceeded to invite him over, to stop by. "Thank you. It does sound very pretty; I'll have to remember that if I'm ever in the neighborhood." His parents did enjoy the beauties of France for holidays and such.

Melrose asked him about the houses, and he could only give a shrug. "I'm really not very familiar with the characteristics of the houses yet, and I doubt I'd be able to change the mind of that hat anyway, so I can't say I'm too concerned. Whichever one will suit me best, then that's the one I'd like," he told her with a chuckle. "How about you?"

Heh.

It was kind of fun for her to finally say she had met someone younger than her since most of the people she knew were a bit older.

She needed a nickname for this girl. Hmm. Ooh. "Imma call you Little Ell for short, okay?"

A fifth year. Cool. So she was like, a year or two older than Ellie. That's not too bad.

Little Ell? Woah. "No..." Not okay.

Why would she want to be called 'Little'. She wasn't that small. HMPH.

But, she thought that maybe two could play this game. Maybe. "How 'bout I call you Big Vi, then?"

She still didn't like it, though. And she really hoped she wouldn't have to call her 'Big Vi'. It made Violet seem superior.

Meh. Violet didn't want a nickname. Gah, she should've seen this coming. The only nicknames she was ever called was either 'Purple' or 'shortie' and she was only okay with Purple 'cause it sounded cool.

"Nope. Just call me Violet."

Now that Dianna was in her third year she didn't feel lost and alone anymore whenever she was in Platform 9/3 quarters. She didn't need to be told anymore where to go either. As she let the train guy place her trunks inside the train Dianna spotted Elle who looked lost. Carrying her owl she decided to help the little girl find her way.

"Hey Elle." she said as she approached the girl. She look good in her new Hogwarts uniform although even that couldn't hide the fear and nervousness in the girl's eyes. She also smiled at the other girl who was chatting with Elle. She's seen her before although she knew they weren't in the same year.

Evangeline walked up to the front of the train, in search of a seat. She'd taken her time outside, because she was particularly attached to her brother, Oliver. Not only was this a brand new school, but it would be the first time she was apart from him all year. By now, the train was very packed full of students, most of which she'd never met before.

She paused when she spotted one familiar face, the naive Braeden. Evangeline smiled, leaning against the compartment door. "Hey Braeden, mind if I join you?" If she hadn't completely scared him off, that was.

Elle jumped a little from surprise. "Freya! Hi! I'm good." She nodded and smiled cheerfully. "Thank goodness you're here. And I hope you're doing fine too?"
