"Oh wow, that stinks." She agreed. "One extra year can't hurt anything though." Some of that stuff takes a while to learn too. Personally, she thought it could have been better for anybody in the long run.
Zoey listened as Ari explained how she'd had to wait to get to Hogwarts. Well, it really couldn't be that bad if she'd wanted to go so badly. Hmm, maybe she'd like it there after all?
She laughed lightly at Arienna's final comment. "Well that's good to hear from somebody that's been there for so long." That, at least, was reassuring.
She turned as another girl entered the compartment and asked about one of the free seats. "Nope." she replied, nudging it with her foot. "Go ahead." However, the fact that the girl had some kind of animal cage kind of freaked her out. It wasn't the idea of having an animal with them that scared her, no, it was more of not knowing what it was.
"Uhh, what is that?" Zoey questioned the girl, gesturing to the cage. It had better not be something poisonous.
Damian slowly turned her head to face the girl. Her face immediately changed from wondering to furious. Leaving her trunk and Reaper's cage on the floor she stepped a few steps towards the girl and stopped only when a few inches were separating them. "This" Damian said as she leaned forward to face the girl with a dead look in her eyes "is Reaper, my owl" Damian hissed showing her canines. Reaper shook in his cage noticing that Damian's hand was reaching for her wand. It's silvered feathers shone as he flickered his wings in worry, trying to get Damian's attention. Damian's eyes burned up in anger. She never let anyone speak about her bird. She had Reaper only for a few days but it was already like a best friend. She could never trust a human, but with her owl it was different. Besides, Reaper was incredibly smart. Suddenly Damian turned around and walked up to her stuff. She placed her trunk on the upper shelf and Reaper's cage next to it. Damian let the owl fly out of the cage and land right onto her shoulder. They both majesticly took a place next to the girl in sunglasses, both locking their eyes onto the blond girl.
I was going to wait for Ian... but I don't want to run out of time.

Fallon looked down at her cat. Snuggles was really insane, but she loved him and it just wouldn't be Hogwarts without him. She giggled when Aaron started to rub the cat's belly and Snuggles started to purr louder. She just shook her head at her crazy cat.
Fallon grinned widely at Aaron's question. "Really? I'd love to try it out Aaron. Thanks." She managed to give her friend a little sideways hug.
Then the door was opened and Iris walked into the compartment, her hair somewhat out of place. "Hey Iris!" She picked the cat up and set him on the seat. He didn't actually seem to mind because he just laid down. Fallon wrapped Iris in a big hug. When she let go, she took in the unruly hair. "I can help you fix that if you want." No one wanted to walk around with bed head.
Iris had only just gotten into the compartment and closed the door, when Fallon jumped up. She grinned as Fallon gave her a big hug, and hugged her friend back. "Ahh! How's your summer been?" She asked, as she pulled out of the hug.
Then she noticed Fallon looking at her hair. Iris giggled at the question, then looked at her, mock-seriously. "Pleeeease... it's supposed to look like... this." The girl looked Fallon in the eye, and nodded ever so slightly. She raised her left and, and ran her hand through the mass of curls and frizz. Iris gave Fallon a look to say "I got up late. Yes... Help please!"
"So says you. I pride myself in being perceived as an underachiever," he said with a smirk. "It seperates me from Miles. Well so does about half a foot in height but considering everyone loves the little twerp and finds me to be the weakest link why not reinforce that a bit." He looked out the window stopping a sigh and then back at the pink pygmy puff in it's cage who seemed to me staring at him.
Looking at her he smiled and raised an eyebrow, "And if I am?" He smirked and gave her another squeeze before loosening his grip. "A secret...umm I've never had a girlfriend?" he said with a chuckle knowing that's not exactly what she meant either. "I have a slight fear of commitment," he muttered quietly not sure if she could hear or not or if he wanted her to hear or not. Well there was a secret. He was sure James just thought he didn't want to be a boyfriend.
"Babe, there is a lot that seperates you and Miles. You are definitely the more handsome, and you are loving, and just plain precious," she said in a sing songy voice before giggling at him.
Juniper had her little faced pressed to the little bars ofher cage as far as she could, her little black eyes were narrowed at BOY. MEEEEEEEEEP! She squeaked and squealed at him and stuck her little tongue through the bars again. When Lexi let her out she was SO pooping on his pants.
Lexi's attention was diverted to Juniper as she squeaked so at Ivan. Gah those two did not get along. Wait... what... No girlfriend ever... AND a fear of commitment. GRRRREAT! She was unable to stifle the little sigh that escaped her lips as she looked out the window. "I see. So then... when you asked what this was between us... youweren't wanting it to be a relationship, then?" she asked him quietly. How disappointing.

His attention was drawn to Lexi though as he heard a sigh and then what she said. "NO!" He cleared his throat and turned in the seat to face her, "No. You are.... I don't even have a word for it but I'm happy with you. And if you remember correctly I did kind of ask you out and you shot me down," he teased with a small smile.

"It's Spanish," he said, proudly. "I was born there, but I moved to Oxford when I was about eight." He leaned forward in his seat and groped for the bag he had placed on the floor. His fingers grazed against the strap and he yanked the bag up onto his knee. Sliding the cover open and throwing the Dickens book inside, he slackened his grip and let the bag slide down his leg and revert to its spot on the floor.
Roderigo looked back up and smiled.
"So how about you? Are you natively Brittish?" he asked, but just after he asked his question, a girl walked in unexpectedly. Roderigo was taken aback, and he was sure his face showed his surprise. However, before he could politely interject and ask the girl why she was here, she began talking to Braeden. Roderigo soon realized that these two were, to say the least, acquaintances and he therefore no longer had any objections to her joining us.
As Braeden attempted to introduce Evangeline to him, a smile stretched farther and farther across Roderigo's face. It was becoming more and more apparent to him that Braeden had no filter; he couldn't stop himself from saying whatever his brain was thinking. Trying to hide his laughter by turning it into a cough, Roderigo took a deep breath and tried to give Braeden a quizzical look.
"Uh...are you alright?" his brows furrowed and then he shook his head slightly. He turned to Evangeline and smiled.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Evangeline," he said kindly. "As my friend here Braeden has said, my name is Roderigo De Lacerda." He bowed his head slightly.
Roderigo's introduction was, for the second time, interrupted by someone. However, unlike Evangeline, who was a stranger to him, Roderigo and Amadeus were acquaintances. The Spaniard smiled as his friend walked into their compartment. He wasn't sure if Amadeus had met Evangeline or Braeden, but since they were all in a circle of introductions, he felt it necessary.
"Oh, well this is an acquaintance of mine, Evangeline and Braeden," Roderigo said, standing up and moving towards Amadeus. "His name is Amadeus Alfred Kipling. He too is a Ravenclaw, like me." He grinned at the three of them. Roderigo wouldn't be lying when he said he had a very small net of friends. He was excited that on his first day back from Winter Break, he had already made two friends and was reunited with someone he had met before. This year was looking to be a great one.

He was just... naively honest like that). His features even seemed a little saddened for a second there as he remembered good ol' Mr. Scrooge. But he was quickly distracted as talk moved on to a new subject - nationalities.
Huh. So this new interesting character was from Spain................. that's crazy!
Braeden went wide-eyed as Roderigo shared this interesting piece of information. Poor Braeden, who never got out much, except to school, had never met a Spaniard before. He didn't meet anywhere from outside Britain all that often, so this was a special occasion for him.
"Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine! Just... y'know, a bit overwhelmed. Introductions aren't my forte," said Braeden with a small smile as Roderigo asked him if he was alright.
Just as the boy was moving closer to the window to give Evangeline space to sit, yet another newcomer arrived into the compartment. This new boy was tall and had a sort of presence that made itself known in a very silent way. He was rather intimidating. But not enough for goofy ol' Braeden, who grinned stupidly as Roderigo introduced the newcomer. "Ooh, is he Spanish too?" he couldn't help but ask curiously. Yes, of course, leave it up to Braeden to ask if someone with a completely English name would be a Spaniard. "I'm Braeden Stonem," the boy introduced himself, giving a little wave with his hand. "You should join us, we were just having a very interesting conversation about Dickens and whether Muggles can become ghosts or not."

She said, her eyes lingering on Alex for a few extra seconds. "Mind, if I join you guys?" she asked the two of them, smiling.
Simon smiled as he walked into an empty compartment, he had decided that he would find somewhere quite so he could read for a bit, he had no idea where any of his friends where but he was sure he would see them soon.
Alice walked in and sat beside the girl. She placed her trunk near the compartment door and Glen on her lap. "Thank you and yes this is my first year" she said calmly. Alice wasn't as excited to go as other first years rambling on and on about what they will be doing and who they're excited to see. She scratched behind Glen's ear then moved to his neck "meow meow" Glen purred.
Stephen nodded as the girl sat down, petting her cat. "Oh, you're a first year. I haven't met any so far, considering I'm barely around," he shrugged, thinking about what exactly he would be doing so he won't see as many people around. Probably hiding in his dorm or something. "But are you excited to be here?" well, most kids are when they get here. The castle, the train ride, the food at the feast and things like that.

"Nope, no one is sat there, why don't you come and share some of the chocolate frogs I brought from the food trolley earlier." Simon smiled, he was sure that this boy was a first year.
Simon then realised that he hadn't said who he was. "I'm Simon Leonarder De Simpson but all my friends call me Simon." He decided that he wouldn't tell the poor boy why he had such a long name. "So is this your first year at Hogwarts?"
Stephen nodded as the girl sat down, petting her cat. "Oh, you're a first year. I haven't met any so far, considering I'm barely around," he shrugged, thinking about what exactly he would be doing so he won't see as many people around. Probably hiding in his dorm or something. Her father had told her that first years wouldn't follow that schedule until second year. "Oh..How rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself, Hello My name is Alice Stewart and this is my kitten Glen" she said in the same calm tone as before.
"When will we arrive I wonder..." Alice looked out the window then back at the boy who she still doesn't know what his name was. The girl beside her haven't even spoken a word since she walked in, Alice hoped she didn't make anyone in the compartment feel awkward or disliked her joining them.

And I get the feeling that she doesn't like you," she commented as she stuck her finger through the little gap and pet her head.
"Wait... I didn't turn you down per se. I said I needed some time. Perhaps you should ask me again... maybe enough time has passed and you would get a more satisfying answer," she suggested. She KNEW her answer would be the one he wanted. She just needed him to ask her so she could say yes.

The train had started to pull away from the Station. Giving a final wave to his father and sister the smile slowly left Legend's face. Great...back to Hogwarts. He wasn't really excited about it this year.
So? So what? The blonde didn't make an effort to look at his so called 'friend'. No. He knew that his anger or...whatever it was would probably boil up if he did. "Some stuff...happened during the summer. Crazy insane second years-well Lulu is crazy. Greer is cute. But anyways they want to buy a half goblin from me who is really just a short Ravenclaw second year." Named Jude. Yup. But Katie didn't need to know Jude's name because SHE didn't deserve to know. "But you would have known that if you hadn't gone off to France. "
Stupid France. Who needed the long French bread anyways? "Heard you got rid of your so called 'crush' anyways though." The words had escaped his mouth before he could even think. There was not a bitterness to it, it was a simple statement. Yet it wasn't suppose to escape.

I'm Stephen Fanelli," he gave her a small smile and waved then his eyes wandered to Aimee. She hadn't said much since Alice walked in.
"This is Aimee," Stephen pointed to the blondie. Searching in his bag for more candy, Stephen seemed like a sugar addict. Well, he kind of was right now since he hadn't had any since the incident at Diagon Alley. But eventually he had found some licorice and more chocolate frogs. "Probably not for some hours," Stephen answered Alice and looked up. "Want some?" he offered Alice and Amiee, while stuff a chocolate frog into his mouth.

One again, Walnut was on the loose running through the train with Kurumi chasing his tail. This time, she managed to scoop him up before he knocked over anyone. Holding her cat like you would an infant, Kurumi leaned against the window pane and watched the scenery go by. It shouldn't be too much longer until you could see Hogwarts on the horizon.

"Well...I don't know...it was pretty ego deflating last time and we know I'm all about my ego." Yup he was going to milk this a bit for his amusement. He pretended to spot a piece of fuzz on his shirt and pick it off distastefully.
Lexi giggled as he agreed he was lucky indeed. Good boy! Exactly what he was supposed to say. "Well it isn't just you. I think she dislikes boys altogether. She bit F... that idiot boy also," she said as she stroked Juniper's head again. She smiled at her little puffy baby and cooed a little bit to boot.
Lexi's mouth dropped open in mock shock. "Oh. Is that so? All about your ego, eh? Well... don't askm then. I suppose you will never find out what I had to say," she said as she crossed her arms across her chest and turned her head away from him to look out the window. A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She KNEW he was anxious to hear what she had to say... she was sure of it.
One again, Walnut was on the loose running through the train with Kurumi chasing his tail. This time, she managed to scoop him up before he knocked over anyone. Holding her cat like you would an infant, Kurumi leaned against the window pane and watched the scenery go by. It shouldn't be too much longer until you could see Hogwarts on the horizon.
Alice slowly made her way through the train, cases in one hand and her owl, safely in his cage, in the other. Since getting her letter from Hogwarts she had been dreading this moment, as a first year would the older students feel happy about her joining their carriage? She had heard stories of muggle schools where the new kids had their heads shoved down toilets on their first day. Though her sisters had told her many stories of Hogwarts and they all sounded wonderful, Alice was a natural worry wart, she just couldn’t help but imagine every possible thing that could go wrong.
Suddenly Alice noticed a familiar face; it was the girl who had helped her in diagon alley! with a small nervous smile playing on her face she spoke "h-h-hello".

Zoey raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest. "Mhmm." she confirmed plainly.... She was being bossed by an eleven year old. Just... wow.
Cooly, she pulled a magazine out of her backpack and concealed the map of Diagon Alley she'd drawn behind it. She traced a finger over Knockturn Alley and through the middle of the street, up to the top where she'd drawn a star next to Madame Malkins. Ah, that's where she'd met... Jimbo, was his name.
The girl flipped the map over discreetly behind the magazine, and began drawing in the parts of the train. At once ignoring the child and her... bird.

Alice's smile widened, " oh I’m all right, really really nervous but I’m sure once we get to Hogwarts i will be okay." Alice then turned to the cat lying in kurumis' arms, "and hello to you to walnut". She then lifted the cage she was holding to eye level, to show the barn owl inside. “This is Honey". “So how are you?"
The train had started to pull away from the Station. Giving a final wave to his father and sister the smile slowly left Legend's face. Great...back to Hogwarts. He wasn't really excited about it this year.
So? So what? The blonde didn't make an effort to look at his so called 'friend'. No. He knew that his anger or...whatever it was would probably boil up if he did. "Some stuff...happened during the summer. Crazy insane second years-well Lulu is crazy. Greer is cute. But anyways they want to buy a half goblin from me who is really just a short Ravenclaw second year." Named Jude. Yup. But Katie didn't need to know Jude's name because SHE didn't deserve to know. "But you would have known that if you hadn't gone off to France. "
Stupid France. Who needed the long French bread anyways? "Heard you got rid of your so called 'crush' anyways though." The words had escaped his mouth before he could even think. There was not a bitterness to it, it was a simple statement. Yet it wasn't suppose to escape.

Eyebrows raised at the news of two little girls wanting to buy a half goblin boy from Legend, after letting his words sink in for a moment Katie slowly nodded. Uhhuh.. "Since when do you own a short Ravenclaw second year?" Or rather, why did the girls seem to think so? "And what does that have to do with the train?"
And there it was. Katie should have seen a comment like that coming, Legend was good for them. Of course, she hadn't anticipated it. What reason did he have to view her leaving to France during summer negatively? He should have been happy, not to have to deal with her. But maybe it didn't have to do with her presence, and rather.. the last time they did see each other? Was he mad at her now? Face flushed at that thought, the sixth year involuntarily glanced toward the blonde, "I went with Julian to see friends, Legend. Is there something wrong with that?" Never mind that really, besides wanting to visit her only girl friends she had been trying to escape. Escape.. home. Her family. Legend. Reality in general, just for a little bit. For as long as she could. Just as soon as her gaze turned on the boy, her dark eyes moved toward the window and her expression became blank, guarded. "I have no idea what you're talking about." But it was not a 'so called' crush! He made her sound like such an immature child who couldn't even identify her own feelings, sometimes.

"You really are going to love it," Kurumi smiled nodding her head. She was just glad the poor girl had finished all her shopping on time. Walnut purred at the girl's greeting. "I'm fine," Kurumi sighed not really wanting to get into the events of the Quibbler and Eino's pet cactus just yet. No sense in frightening the poor girl on her first day. She bent down to greet the owl properly. Walnut began swishing his tale back and forth. "It's nice to meet you Honey. I am sure you will enjoy Hogwarts too."

Katie seemed curious, yet Legend still had not made any moment to look at her face to see if it were genuine. He would just have to assume it was from the sound of her voice. "I don't. I told you they are crazy and insane." Duh. Looking down on his green shirt the Gryffindor began to play with the buttons-anything really was better than facing Katie.
"I saw Lulu on the Platform. Didn't want her to come after me. That girl has the voice of a Banshee." Maybe she was part Banshee? He wouldn't doubt it.
Was there something wrong with her going to France? Of course not he had left and went to Hawaii the year before. That wasn't Legend's problem. He was more upset-concerned about what she did in France. "What friends do you have up there? Except for Mickey." Because she didn't count at all.
She had no idea? Really? Pulling his hands away from his buttons Legend looked up and at Katie for the first time in what seemed like years. "That is total bull." Taking a deep breath he continued. "Listen I don't want to fight with you over this. It's pointless really. I just find it really pathetic that you like messing with my brain so much. I mean seriously dating Malachi?" His voice stayed steady, Legend was determined not to let his emotions show. He didn't like Katie more than a friend...honestly...but...SHE was the one who said that she liked him and then went on to date his ex-best friend? "What ever floats your boat though. Thanks for owling me about it and keeping me informed." Alright, he couldn't help let a bit of sarcasm drip from his voice at the last sentence.
Gah, his life was sounding more and more like a soap opera every day.
