When Tuesday, 29 MAR @ Noon EST to Thursday, 31 MAR @ Noon EST
It was the week after the Quidditch Cup Championship game and three days after the disgusting Herbology lesson. But Vindictus was outside and in his familiar stomping grounds, and thus felt more at ease. Everything and anything flying-related came to him with perfect ease (unlike trying to decipher the Herbology lessons contained in the teacher's text).
A rack of brooms, a box of bats, and a bin of restrained Quaffles awaited the class.
Would they even dare to attend in fear of being eaten by the unknown?

Oh, ...fantastic. The balloons were gone! Were they done?! Could they leave now?!
...oh. Sierra's face fell a little as the next set of instructions (accompanying a pretty long task at that) were revealed. Well, she didn't have much time to waste, now did she?!
She tok off in the general direction of the pinatas. The butterfly pinata was up first, and so she beelined toward it, bat raised and ready to use. She approached the pinata and eyed it, trying to make sure she had the best aim possible.
...but then it dove quickly out of the way, earning it a 'Sierra Greingoth Glare'. "Argh!" she yelled. She steered her broom toward the butterfly, got a good aim (hopefully), and then thrust the bat forward with all her might.
Kyle tightened her grip on the beaters bat and moved on to the next pinata. She wanted to break them all "good bye Mr. Pig" she spoke as she flew toward him as she flew it dropped ten feet, and she dove after it. Moments later she was there, right next to it and reaching out her arm she smacked - it was gone broken into a million little pieces. She was so proud of herself.

With her sights now set clearly on the pig pinata, Sierra took off flying in the opposite direction. It was bouncing about more than the butterfly had been, which only succeeded in making Sierra more determined than ever to thwack it on the first try.
She flew closer, pulled back on her broom, and slowed down so she could eye the pig. She wanted to try and predict where it would go next, but its random movements were pretty unpredictable. Maybe if she snuck up on it, she could attack before it had time to go anywhere else.
She flew around the back of the pig and hovered in the air for a split second as she raised her bat. Then she took off, approaching the pig in record time.
*THWACK*
She laughed an evil-sounding laugh as she ended up hitting the pig on the first try. Mwah haha! Now, where was that spider?
She swiveled back, turning around as she felt something move above her head. Leaning backwards she saw it, the spider pinata. Just what she needed to attack.
Righting herself and flying towards it she pulled her arm backwards and with a resounding crack it was gone - well for her atleast.

Now, only one more pinata to whack, and then she'd be through with trying to catch these blasted papermade animals. She flew across the pitch as she scanned the area in search of the spider. Merlin! There were so many students flying around that she could barely even see the butterfly and pig anymore.
Just then, she happened to see a group of students huddled around one particular area, and then she happened to see a black spider head poking around in the center of them. Ah ha! Spider thwacking time!
She hurried toward the group and edged in so she could have a go at swinging at the spider. The spider was bouncing around so much, though, that she could barely get a good aim. Finally, another student moved out of the way, giving Sierra a clear path to get to the spider.
*THWACK*
She grinned wickedly as her bat made contact with the spider.
Kyle heard the loud thwack of someone else's pinata breaking. Then she moved, and saw another balloon quite high in the sky, leaning forward she began to climb, higher and higher until she was right next to it.
POP - it was gone she'd smacked it, and now she had three more balloons to go. Then she'd only have to throw the quaffle at the target and that would be that. She was excited to be almost done.

Oh, ...darn.
Now it was time to return the bat to the box. Sierra was actually having a lot of fun using the bat, too. Oh, well. She was a Quidditch player. She'd have plenty of opportunities to get back out on the pitch and...maybe...use the bat a time or two.
For now, though, she needed to replace the bat with a quaffle, which sort of made her feel like a Chaser now. She was used to knocking the quaffles away from the hoops with her broom, not throwing the quaffles. It wouldn't be a final exam without a challenge, though...
She glanced down and spotted the box, and then she lowered her broom a little so that she could drop the bat into the box and not onto the ground. She doubted seriously Professor Vindictus would enjoy having his bats tossed all over the field. She swooped down, came upon the box, and then dropped the bat. She smiled as it made a perfect landing.
Chloe had been rubbish with the balloons. Thus once she heard the next set of tasks she knew she would have to give it her A game. Having listened took the instructions Chloe knew she was took got after the butterfly pinyata first. Now where was that thing? Chloe scanned the pitch and spotted. She flew towards it. Once close enough Chloe swung her bat hard and MISS. What! That pinyata was going down. Chloe quicky swung again making sure took make her move and, SMACK. Success, just a couple more whacks and she was certain her would crack.
Hannah took the bat got onto the broom and WACKED the pinata. What!!! i missed, she Wack the pinata the second and CRACK!!! the butterfly went on the ground. There was candy everywhere.

Completing her circle of the pitch and managing not to fall off, Kurumi looked down when she heard Treyen speak to her. Wow...that was a loooooooooong way down.
"I-I-I-I'm alright," she said semi-lying through her teeth as she forced herself to smile. You know, just trying not to get attacked by exploding spider bits and stay on my broom. But he didn't need to hear that detail. "T-T-Treyen?" she asked as she slooooooooowly guided herself down to the pitch and hovered about two feet over the ground. "Which one of these balls is the Waffle?"
She leaned forward and reached down to touch one of the balls.
Wait...waffle didn't sound right...She remembered Selina lecturing her about waffles some Quidditch ball in the Gryffindor common room.
Lying flat on her broom again, Kurumi reached both hands down - one over each side of her broom - and grabbed a red leather-covered ball.
"Is this a Waffle?"
So, now, this was the part he had absolutely no problem with, because he could circle around anything on a broom. Well, all Quidditch players could, no?
But he decided to speed up...that's why he didn't hear Kurumi so clearly. Was she asking for a waffle? That was something she should be asking Vindictus since he was the one holding a picnic on the Pitch. "I don't have any waffles, Kurumi!" yet, he tried to slow down and kept on circling around but slightly closer to the Gryffindor girl.
Though, not as close, since he was way up high, and she...not so much.
That's until he noticed she was picking the Quaffle already and then Treyen shook his head while smiling, "That's the Quaffle, I'm sure that's what you meant," if that was a waffle, then she needed some lessons from the House-elves.
He'll be needing to pick his own Quaffle sooner, but for now a couple more circles would suffice.
I gotta crack this butterfly pinyata wide open And with that Chloe took a harder swing at the pinyata. Nope, nope, no crack yet. Chloe took another whack and then another. She kept wacking till finally, CRACK. Candy came spewing from the pinyata. Chloe smiled as she scowered the grounds for the pig pinyata.
It was HIS time to grab that Waffle. Eek! QUAFFLE! QUAFFLE! Look what Kurumi did to HIM!!! He was now calling Quidditch equipment the wrong way!
Treyen should've known better, after all, their first lesson together hadn't gone THAT well in the first place, so, the Gryffindor girl was not one to be close by during any Flying lesson, eh?
He shook his head before finally plunging down, gaining speed as he got closer to the Waffle Quaffle box, and then changing the broomstick's direction once he took hold of the scarlet ball. Rather quickly too.
The boy would've preferred to be guarding the hoops by now, but, oh, well, Quaffle first.
"YES!" She called as she spun around and looked for the next thing to smack, or do. Then she saw the balloons she'd missed earlier "come get popped you little pathetic things" she spoke maliciously to a balloon.
Pulling her arm back she smacked a loud and rather annoying pop sound later it was gone One more down, one to go.

Well, here came his least favorite part, because no matter how awesome his aim was when Bludgers were involved , whenever a Quaffle made an appearance he wasn't really THAT great.
His reflexes helped while standing near the goal hoops, not so much while holding a Quaffle.
Either way, he made sure Kurumi was still on her broom, and then zoomed towards the target, keeping the center of it on his mind. If he acted like this was a bit like Transfiguration, then focusing was more than important, no?
Here goes NOTHING!
He released the Quaffle as hard as he could, but the aiming was not as perfect, since he was sure the ball had hit the purple part of it BUT it made absolutely NO SOUND.
Kyle noticed there was one more balloon to pop, so she went after it.
Raising her arm bat in hand she smashed into it and it was no more. Simple, balloons were easy to pop - the pinatas not so much she thought as she got ready to get rid of the beaters bat.

The boy retrieved the Quaffle from the ground, without touching the ground again. He had no idea how Melanie never got tired from doing this every single practice. EVERY SINGLE one. It was...well...he was starting to feel like the ground was his friend.
But, anyway, he was holding the Quaffle again, and this time he aimed correctly, because the scarlet ball was now INSIDE the box, the same box he'd taken it from in the first place.
What was he supposed to do now?
He couldn't remember what Vindictus had said about the fail attempt of hitting the target, or, well, he hit it, okay? It just...never emitted any sound.
Swooping down almost to the ground level she dropped her bat into the box. Then climbing back up she slowly circled the pitch her speed quickly growing and growing as she pulled into the straights - the feeling of the wind in her hair was sheer bliss.

He'd remembered! That's why he started to zoom towards the hoops this time, a happy grin on his face. The goal hoops. He liked them. Never mind the latest outcome while holding a position near them.
Either way, the boy was now on the north goal hoops, and sincerely hoped Kurumi knew which hoops was Professor Vindictus was referring to. His eyes landed on the purple bags. Hehe. Purple. So pretty. And he started to untie one of those.
What will they need those for?
He shrugged the thought away and kept the bag to himself.
Though, he was still wondering what the bags could be for...because...hold on, did they have something inside? They seemed weightless, and he didn't dare looking inside in case it held some Herbology-related madness.
Yes. This may be Flying, BUT that madness that Vindictus showed in Herbology was still there, hidden inside him, somewhere.
So, Treyen stood near the hoops, keeping his eyes on Kurumi as she flew in case she would ever need some help.

With the butterfly hit, Simon was on to the spider or was it the pig? No it was definantly the pig, he mused to himself remembering that it had gone down the list from happy shape to non. Turning right and left with his body and broom, looking for the pig pinata he finally spotted it behind him someways away. He leaned to one side turning his broom and took off in the right direction this time. Once he was lined up with the pink target he swung hitting it squarely in its body sending it spinning as the sixth year moved on in search of his last target of the insect type.

So. A giant pig.
Hadn’t Jacob said something about giant flying pigs once? And for once, he was actually right. Even though it wasn’t an actual pig. It still counted.
With this amusing thought, Vashti flew after the giant pig thing, her bat arm hanging lazily beside her. This piñata was determined not to be hit, wasn’t it? It was going nuts, flying every which way to avoid her and her bat. She had decided not to make her broom zigzag after it though. She flew as straight as possible without getting too far away from the piggy. Then, when it didn’t appear to be “looking,” she pulled her broom up so that she ascended a couple feet and, in the next second, turned her broom in the direction the pig was now flying and dove straight for it.
She raised her bat and
THWACK!
She smacked the pig on its ear and zoomed away from it in the next second, ready to take on that sickly cute spider thing.

Kyle dove downward toward the box, reaching out her arms and pulling off a slight upsidedown hang she grabbed a quaffle. Righting herself she was back to having her feet facing the ground and her head to the sky - not the other way around of course.
She readied herself infront of the target - she was ready to throw the quaffle at it - but wanted to make sure she was steady that she'd get a perfect hit before she threw the quaffle. So she waited.
