Ama stood up and dusted herself in time for the whistle to get blown. Dang it. She hadn't mastered t his flying thing. She took her broom over and put it away and walked back over to where the professor was. It wasn't until another student performed magic that she realized that she had left her wand in her room. Ughh. It was such a bad habit of hers.

Hearing the whistle, Effy looked hesitantly at the ground. Landing, right, she could do that. She angled her broom toward the ground and began to fly downward. She came in a little too fast, which caused her to stumble and hop off of her broom; she just barely avoided falling. Using the momentum from her almost fall, Effy straightened up and swung her broom over her shoulder. She began walking towards the broom rack as if nothing had happened. No one saw that she told herself.

After returning her broom to the rack Effy walked over to the other students and sat cross legged on the ground.

"That's the signal to land!" he called out. "After you land, please return your broomstick to the broom rack, and have a seat on the grass."

Luin carefully steered her broom towards the area where the other students and the professor were waiting. She went a bit slowly, but got down there eventually, taking a couple steps to regain her balance as she landed. She unmounted from the broomstick and then put it back on the rack and then walked over to the others, sitting down with her legs crossed and waiting for the others to join them. She was excited that she was somewhat getting the hang of flying now.

Edlyn heard the whistle and she knew it's already time to land. She carefully manipulate the broom and landed safely without her being off balanced. After getting off the broom, she immediately put it back on the shed. And came to seat beside Luin.

"Wooh! that's a fun experience!" Professor, when is next flying session?". Asked Edlyn excitedly.

"Scrougify" She muttered quickly as she pointed her wand at herself before heading down for the grass.

Then she walked over to the rack and stowed the broom there. Then she sat down on an empty patch of grass.

"It's not your fault," Vindictus replied to Kurumi, "However, I'd like to hear Elyon's answer." And he had another question for the first year, too.

He pulled out his own wand and the gigantic cupcake vanished.

Now to wait for a few more students to join them on the grass - he had a few more points to award before ending the lesson.

Selina saw Vindictus talking to Kurumi, she hoped that everything was okay. When the pair of them were up in the air and she asked
Selina for help because Kurumi was on the broom backwards- she just fell. As fast as Selina was from Quidditch, once someone fell off their broom their was very little somone could do. Thank god for that cupcake.

She was already on the ground from flying Kurumi down on the back of her broom so she went over to were the Professor was. He seemed like he was waiting for the class to sit on the grass before him. So with the borrowed broom back on the rack she made her way to the grass spot and plopped down.

Katelynn looked towards the professor just as the whistle was blown.
She quickly found a free place on the ground, where she could land, and then leaned over.
The school brooms weren't as good as her own, and she hadn't flown for a long tome; the landing was a little unsteady and she landed hard on the ground, but didn't fall over.
It had really been great to fly again!
She walked towards the broom rack, and put away her broom, before she sad on the ground.

Jake_Lockley8672 01-21-2011 05:01 PM

Jamie took the landing/jog and then placed the broom back on the rack. She the sat near the professor on the grass and sighed. She sighed and waited to hear what he had to say.

Violet was having so much fun flying after she got the hang of it. She was loving the wind blow through her hair and she was loving the feeling of flying so gracefully. When Violet heard the whistle she looked down and heard the Professor. She gently pointed her broom down and began swiftly coming towards the ground. Violet then slowed herself, gracefully gliding onto the floor once more. She got off of her broom and placed it on the broom rack. Violet then made her way over to the Professor and sat down on the grass.

OOC: Sorry about not bein too active around here. Had my daughter to deal with.

Benjamin heard the whistles blow, andquickly shot to the teacher and landed.

"Simple enough to do on a school broom. Not like my Firebolt, but it'll do." He went to the broomrack, put the ratty old broom back on the rack and came and sat in the back behind everyone else. He couldn't wait to see what the professor would say.

[QUOTE=jengirls109;10124033]Jaina laughed. "I'm trying to get higher! I can only go so fast!" There was no way she was letting Belle have all the fun up there! "Hey, Belle, is there a blue sprinkle up there for me! I love the color blue! Matches my eyes!" She laughed some more as she got closer to Belle.

Belle saw a blue sprinkle for Jania. She tried to reach them but she couldn't get some. She was reaching but the cupcake kept inching away from her. She almost fell off her broom. "Woah not doing that again." she thought.

Belle heard the sound of the whistle. "Woah i must land, this must be fun." she told herself. She went to the ground, did a dive and landed on her feet without falling once. "Yes!" she thought. "I finally did it!" she danced for a little bit then went to sit on the grass with the class. She tried to find Jania.

Lara heard the Professor's whistle and was a bit sad tht she'll have to get down to the ground again, flying is much more cooler ,but it's not the last lesson is it?!

She slowed down her broom, and got closer to the ground as she put her feet of the stirrups and jumped off the broom. She then walked slowely ,because she forgot how to walk, towards the broom rack and put the broom back, but before she do this she smiled to this lovely broom because it let her have lots of fun, that's what she usually does with her broom. And yeah she's a bit crazy about it!

After that she chosed a nice spot close enough to her the Professor ,aithough he probably won't stay in the same spot, however she sat down waiting for the other students to set down and the Professor to start whatever he wanna do or say.

The Gryffindor first year who arrived late and performed magic on a student in the class had failed to answer Vindictus and he shook his head. "Ten points from Gryffindor."

Then he turned to the class, most of which were now seated on the grass before him. "Let's discuss broomsticks. Who can tell me the name of the charm that stops your broom?"

sweetpinkpixie 01-22-2011 02:34 AM

Great, more points gone from Gryffindor. What was up with the professors this term and taking giant chunks of points away from students? Kurumi certainly had her work cut out for her this term.

"Professor, would that be Arresto Momentum?" Kurumi asked timidly raising her hand.

krazypenguin 01-22-2011 02:40 AM

Ama raised her hand, "The braking charm Professor?" She wasn't entirely sure but she thought it was worth a try.

ArianaBlack 01-22-2011 02:40 AM

Oh No! More points from Gryffindor! Nika wasn't sure what the answer to the question was so she looked at the proffessor. "I'm not too sure, Professor." She said to make sure he knew that she was thinking about it.

Anna Banana 01-22-2011 02:48 AM

Sierra made a move to raise her hand and suggest an answer, but before her arm could even get halfway into the air, the dictionary-eating Gryffindor and some Ravenclaw kid had already answered. Wait, what?!

Argh!!!

She huffed and puffed inwardly and then raised her hand the rest of the way. "The Braking Charm?" she suggested.

top94a 01-22-2011 03:03 AM

"Take it easy Cookie Sister, that is just 10 points, we can make a positive point, ye

Raven become blank headed, when he heard the professor deducting point to Gryffindor, "aww, another loss" Raven murmur.

now, as Raven is sitting along the ground. He heard the question but, he really don't know the charms, what he can do is listen, learning a bit from all body around him.

pundantic 01-22-2011 03:05 AM

Selina's hand shot up in the air. She knew this, the one thing she was really good at - flying. "Excuse me sir, is the charm you are refering to the Horton-Keitch Braking Charm. It is a charm that allows brooms to stop more precisily. It was established for the purpose of Quidditch so a player would not overshoot goals." She remembered ove the summer when her father had his mates from the Falcons over that they had dicsussed that specific charm.

"One point to each of you for your answers," he smiled and was about to ask his next question when a Gryffindor student blurted it out.

"You are correct and thank you for explaining to the class what the charm does, but next time please stick to the question that was asked," Vindictus said. "Two points for your answer."

"Next question - what is the name of the charm that makes riding on a broomstick comfortable?" he asked.

krazypenguin 01-22-2011 03:17 AM

"Thats the cushioning charm professor." Ama smiled as she answered. She loved being in a class where she actually knew the answers. She made sure not to add details, scared of getting reprimanded for over-answering.

sweetpinkpixie 01-22-2011 03:18 AM

Kurumi's hand shot up in the air. "I believe that would be the Cushioning Charm, Professor. It was invented in 1820 by Elliot Smethwyck."

top94a 01-22-2011 03:26 AM

Raven is still, not raising hand, he loves to feels the discussion in his ear not in his mouth, beside he didn't know either, no choice, but he learn, and that is a goal

Raven eyes widened, his chest is out in proudness to Kurumi "That my cookie Sister, a bookworm, and a tutor, and specially she got her nerve" Raven say no one can hear

"Right, sorry Professor," the little redhead replied. At his next question her hand shot up once more and she answered, "It's an invisible charm called the cushioning charm. If I remember correctly from Quidditch Through the Ages it was developed by Elliot Smethwyck." Selina replied. She was so happy to be in her element. Quidditch and flying was her thing, finally a class she knew with certainity she would understand.

Anna Banana 01-22-2011 03:30 AM

Again, Sierra eyed the dictionary-eating Gryffindor. Of course she'd chime in with a name and a date. Returning her attention back to the professor, Sierra raised her hand again. "That's the Cushioning Charm," she suggested.

...invented in 1820 by Elliot Smethwyck, apparently.
