Nika hopped back onto her broom after having recovered from the fall. This time she kept a 100% focused on where she was going. She zoomed around the cupcake trying not to fall in like many of the other students that she had seen already. |
Ama climbed back on her broom and slowly lifted from the ground. She was doing it! when she got to about three feet off the ground she cheered and flew around in a little circle. Happily, she started to zoom around a bit and got to close to the edge of the clearing. She felt an itch in her nose, her eyes were only closed a minute as she sneezed, but BAM she ran straight into a tree. "Woah..." |
As Sierra reached the end of the pitch, far away from the gigantic pastry, she pulled back on her broom, coming to a stop in mid-air. She steered her broom around and turned to study the cupcake the professor had conjured. It was huge, and anything that abnormally huge was...sort of scary, really. It looked like it could crush her to nothing but a sprinkle. Oh, well. As long as it stayed where it was and didn't move or suddenly attack, she guessed it was okay. Leaning forward, she took off once again, Heading straight toward the edge of the cupcake. If she timed everything just right, she could skirt along the edges of the cupcake and dodge it nicely. Coming up along the edge of the cupcake, Sierra moved her broom handle to the right, steering the broom around the edge just as she'd planned. Whew. Now, maybe the professor wouldn't surprise them with anymore larger than life-sized obstacles... |

She then turned her head towards the professor before turning her head back to Selina. "I-I-I guess your right," she shrugged as a few more bits of frosting fell off her face and, eep, onto the pitch. Now turning towards the Professor, Kurumi bowed to him several times. "I'm terribly sorry, sir...I smushed your cupcake by falling into it..." she looked back at the pitch where there were some small piles of frosting. No doubt they were from her run in with the cupcake. "I-I-I-I'll clean up all the frosting." If he wanted more of an in depth retelling of the events that made her fall into said cupcake, she supposed that she could do that for him... |

So was Conan allowed to eat the cupcake he had fallen into? He wanted to so badly. He wanted to eat his way out. But that wasn't learning how to fly. Where was his broom? He turned around in the sponge. It was right next to him. Ok all he had to do was jump onto it and fly away. He took a deep breath and jumped. His hands caught hold of the broom handle and he scooped it under him. Wow he was good. Sometimes. He urged his broom to fly away from the cupcake so he could clean himself off. A little bit at least. His parents wouldn't be happy if they found out he was covered in cake. Fly my pretty. Fly fllllly! |

Benjamin walked down to the quidditch pitch thinking about flying on a brrom for the first time in school. He'd flown plenty while at home with his father. when he walked in, he saw several people already there sitting on the grass. He walked to the back and sat in the last row. when he heard they were going to be flying today, he grew ecstatic. "I got this under control," he thought to himself. He went up with the rest of the class and got a broom. When summoned, the broom came straight to his hand. He kicked off the ground once they were told to then landed back on the ground with perfect procission. He thenheard the professor say that they were going to fly around giant cupcakes. He kicked off from the ground and flew when told to. He flew as fast as he could on these ratty old brooms an stuck his turns really close to the cupcakes. He came back to the professor and landed right in front of him and asked, "How was that professor?" He went back to the end of the row and stood there with a proud smile on his face. |

Sierra pulled up on the handle of her broom and brought herself to a slow stop. There were several students on the ground and talking to the professor, so for a moment, Sierra thought the lesson had come to a close, and it was time for her to land and leave. That didn't seem to be the case, though, as the cupcake was still suspended in air, even though it looked like half the class had flown into it. For a second, Sierra considered flying into it, too--on purpose, course. After all, what could be better than flying into a larger than life-sized cupcake?! With a quick glance toward the spectators, though, she decided against it. Leaning down and facing forward, she took off, headed toward the opposite end of the pitch. She'd just fly around the cupcake for now. Besides, she wasn't quite sure what they were meant to do now that the cupcake had been in several collisions. She steered her broom around the far end of the pitch then headed back in the other direction, still skirting just alone the edge of the gigantic pastry. |
Jamie pulled herself out of the icing and had realized that she somehow had managed to hang onto the broom. She sighed and got off of the cupcake and flew to land on the ground. As she took her jogging land she pulled out her wand wanting to clean up the mess on her. Hopefully the professor wouldn't mind too much. "Scourgify," she said pointing her wand at herself. As her robes became icing free she mounted the broom and was off again. |

Yummy, delicious, absolutely wonderful cupcake. She had been staring at the cupcake so intently that she never realized that she had been flying towards it already until.. SMACK! She had collided with the cupcake, She had icing all over her. Her hair, her robes...everything. sigh. Food had always been her weakness. |
After watching the students try to navigate (and in some cases, collide) the gigantic cupcake floating over the pitch, Vindictus realized it was time to bring the flying portion of the lesson to an end. He brought his silver whistle up to his lips and gave it two short ear-piercing tweets. TWEET! TWEET! "That's the signal to land!" he called out. "After you land, please return your broomstick to the broom rack, and have a seat on the grass." |
Hmm... Alright then. Time to test how good her landing skills were. What had the professor said? Once you get near to the ground, stick your feet out so that you have control once you touch the earth. He'd even said, Sierra remembered, that it was common for fliers to jog a little just after landing. Sierra did just as she was told, even jogging a little before coming to a complete stop. At least she hadn't jogged right on into somebody. That would have been a mess... She returned her broom to the broom rack, and then took a seat on the grass. |
Raven heard the whistle very loud, he then walk to the broom rack and place his broom back to it. Maybe some other time, he can borrow a broom to fly a little. How Raven didn't fly to the fullest to enjoy the time. |
Seeing as Kurumi had already landed due to attack by frosting, she returned her broom to the rack and waddled back to where the Professor was standing and tried to take a seat on the grass. Her limbs, however, were beginning to stiffen from all the frosting drying. She should have casted Scourgity on herself when she had the chance... |
Jaina nudged her broom handle down slightly and started to go down very slowly. She was afraid that if she went too fast she would crash. As she got close to the ground, she stuck her feet down and jogged to a stop. Her foot got caught in a hole though and she fell on her face. Stupid feet! was her thought. She picked herself up and dusted herself off. She then proceeded to place the broom away and sit in front of the professor. |

He pulled out his own wand and the gigantic cupcake vanished. Now to wait for a few more students to join them on the grass - he had a few more points to award before ending the lesson. |
Nika heard the whistle and flew down low to the ground. She had a harsh landing and tumbled off of her broom, but luckily she wasn't hurt. Nika looked for somewhere to sit, preferably with a friend or two. When her eyes fell on Kurumi and Elyon she ran towards them overcome with excitement. Hey you guys! Can I join you?" She asked hoping for a yes. Kurumi was very nice and she hasn't talked to Elyon since the start of the term feast. |
