Singing is AWESOME!! He only sang when he was confused and angry and right now he wasn't any of them. He didn't want to be any of them. He was single and it was awesome. Ahhh he has to try his line that he was talking about on Twitter. "I'm Bryce and I'm single." Bryce laughed. It felt good to say he was single after two weeks of a long and hard relationship.

He gave her an awkward smile. "I love to sing. It's one of my deep secrets." Bryce told her. What was he up to. "Nothing. I'm just lazy and not making any friends. What have you been up to Cassie?" Bryce said to her.

Cassie's eyes widened just a little when Bryce informed her that he was single. Ok yeah she wasn't that shocked considering that the girl was just horrible added to the fact that she was kind of blaming Cassie for her problems with Bryce. It was totally not her fault though. She had done nothing to get between Bryce and Hannah. In anyways, Bryce seemed so much happier now and that was good." Really? You're like officially single?" good for him.

Cassie laughed." Well your secret isn't really a secret anymore is it? Now that I know." She stuck her tongue out at him and chuckled." well that's no good. Hogwarts is no fun without friends you know. I'm not up to much either though, just having a bit of a stroll along the corridors."

"That's interesting. I mean, the castle is so vast you would think that it could take you anywhere. Then again it is just a bunch of walls and windows." The people inside it were what made the school so magically and alive. Without them it was just an empty hall.

She moved over on her bench and offered him a seat. Usually Selina would be stumbling and fumbling over every little thing with the Captain near. But for some reason she found some Gryffindor courage and gestured to the seat next to her. She had to learn to interact with him so how. They were on the same team and her eleven year old blushing was not going to help them win the cup.

As she waited for him to take a seat she placed her sketch pad down. It then feel on the floor with a thud and opened to one of her most recent completed drawings of the Pitch. She reached to pick it up with the color of the drawing still slightly visible.

"Yeah, its probably not the wisest of ideas at times," Simon replied in agreement, chuckling somewhat at the image of being lost in the big castle. Granted if push came to shove a well-put Point me charm would help you find your way in the end at least for the students who had actually had that spell taught to them.

The captain accepted the offered seat, moving to sit down once Selina moved over and settled in the new location on the bench. He hadn't noticed her calmer behavior around him or the pad being placed on the bench between them until it slipped to the floor and almost bent to pick it up. Stopping himself before they bumped into each other but not before seeing the work to which it had fallen up to.

"That's really good," Simon commented looking back up from the sketchpad to its artist. The pitch looking so true to its real-life appearance.

Selina smiled at his compliment, "Thanks, I've been drawing for forever. But that is just something I drew after practice the other day. It's not done." Selina could feel her cheeks burning up but she swallowed the urge to fumble on her words. She had to spend two more years in Simon's presence and if she made the team again next year she would have interact with him. This constant state of blushing and fumbling was only going to make her life harder. Breaking the habit was crucial and Selina planned to do it as soon as possible. She could not act like a fool forever. So she suppressed her urge to ramble and continued.

"What about you? Do anything like drawing? I mean, you have to do more than just Quidditch, right? I draw, Kurumi bakes, what's your favorite past time?" Selina asked calmly. Part of her wanted to jump for joy at staying so calm, but it would defeat the purpose.

Aimée smiled softly. "I guess," she said, thinking about what Stephen said. "And I s'pose zat zey treat you like zer own son?" Because, well the way he spoke about it they seemed to, but she didn't know. Although she blushed a little as she asked; she didn't want to seem impertinent. "I s'pose, although dad believes zem over me so sometimes I would get into trouble," she said with a shrug. Her father loved her, she knew that, but she knew that she reminded him of her mother, because of the magic and everything. Which deemed her untrustable, in his mind. Or so it seemed. Le Sigh.

"Very small, et zeems!" she laughed. She'd never spotted Stephen around Beauxbatons, but then again she's never looked hard enough at people then, keeping herself to herself, with only a few friends.

A handshake? Aimée studied his hand carefully before taking it and smiling up to him, there was no prank there or anything, and he wasn't holding a knife or something, so she was safe, right. "A 'andshake es good.." she smiled.

Bryce nodded. Stupid song get out of my head. He hit his head to see if it would make a difference but sadly it did not. Stupid, stupid song. RAWR!!! Anyways. YES he was SINGLE. Woot, woot. "Yes I'm single. Yes it is offical." Bryce said. Now if only he could find someone that was good for him and not mean. "Now I just need to find someone that is good for me and not mean to me." Bryce said to her.

Bryce shook his head and laughed. "Actually it is a secret as long as YOU don't tell a soul because that would be embarrassing if people new my little secret." Bryce nodded. "I know but I get lost every time I go somewhere in this castle. I feel like a first year but I'm not." Bryce told her.

Simon couldn't help but chuckle at her choice of words asking about pastimes. "Yeah I have something more then just quidditch. Only been really playing for a few years," he admitted as he thought on an answer to her actual question. The captain could see however how one who knew him only this year might think he was this great player as head of the team when he had mostly played reserve before because of not wanting to devote too much time away from his schoolwork expecially before his OWLS.

"Reading I guess..." he answered with a one-armed shrug. "However some might say that doesn't really count because its also a part of school work but I have been called a bookworm at times. Don't really have something like you and Kurumi."

"That constitutes as something. Just because it isn't something as artistically driven as me and Kurumi doesn't mean it doesn't have value," Selina admitted. She was finding it easier and easier to speak to Simon. Maybe it was all in her head. The image she had of him was one of authority and seriousness. But the more she spoke to him the more she saw that he was a person just like she was. He was more than just the uniform and Selina liked talking to him.

Selina than thought of her father and smiled. He was like Simon. An ideal that she had grown up to respect, but in actuality the authority was just some sprinkles on the cake of the person.

"I feel like I don't even really know anything about you," Selina said. It was like he was on his way to being on her planet, but was still somewhere up in the stars.

When Bryce hit his head Cassie chuckled and took his hand. The boy was blinking crazy. Bryce looked at her. He blushed. Poor Brycie. He was embarrassed. He was really embarrassed. He NEVER got like that. "I see you met my sister?" Bryce asked her. "Can you believe what Hannah said to my baby sister?" Bryce asked her. What Hannah had said was very, very, very mean. She's only 5 for goodness sakes. Bryce jumped up in the air. YES! "Thank you." Bryce said hugging her. Maybe the hugging went a big to far for him. Oops.

Neptune ... was MAD. That was CRUEL. O__O She was thinking seriously about turning around and marching down to their lair in the dungeons to TELL THEM how cruel they were. And then go tell Mr. Tate. And write write to her mother. And then go back and waggle her finger in their snooty awful faces.

"That makes me feel like not being nice, Jake. In fact," Neptune turned around, almost completely decided TO turn around and GO call THEM cruel names. She could think of a few. "...I might go tell them they're not allowed to call you that." Right now.

Jake... hadn't expected this response. To be honest, it WAS one he'd always expected from parents and professors alike, but the name had just kind of lingered in his life and stuff... and he and others probably saw it as part of the furniture?

"No no no," he said hurriedly, almost frantic. The very LAST thing he wanted either of them to do was to go back down there, especially about THIS. It would... get heated again, maybe. "Don't worry about it. Not right now, at least... please?" Jake said before biting his lip.

Neptune BOTT didn't have to be sneaky around them. She was SMARTER than all three of them combined. Hmph. But... okay. "Okay." She didn't look her best at the moment anyway. She did need to fix her makeup and hair and sweater.

She turned back and slowly started their ascent towards her Common Room again. "We'll fix them later." In some form or another. Was there a potion that could make a person stutter? Hmmm.

He shrugggggged. "I dunno... they kind of say it a lot. I tune out these days... don't often realise when it's being said," Jake pointed out. Eh. Whatevs.

The thought of fixing them later sounded... somewhat ominous... but Jake wasn't exactly opposed to the idea. He was also glad that for NOW, things were cool.

He decided NOT to tell Neptune that he'd considered spiking their drinks with babbling beverage.

"You know... being a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor is great exercise. I would hate doing this climb at the end of a long day," he told Neptune. Because REALLY... putting the place where you SLEEP at the top of a castle? Ridonkulous. "For the hard-working house, Hufflepuff have their common room in a surprisingly easily accessible place. You weren't here when we had the floods, were you?" he added, suddenly remembering.

That amused Neptune. She had always thought the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs had the short end of the stick - dungeons and under the kitchen. Lowly, you know? The Ravenclaws got to live in the TOWER, high above most. In fact, Neptune did like to think of herself as a princess in her high tower.

She'd have to modify this to QUEEN now, thank you prefects of Hogwarts.

"No... I missed the floods. But you are right, I suppose." They were STILL floors away from her Common Room and they hadn't even started on the bottom. "The Founders didn't do mediocre, I guess." The Common Rooms were on the bottom or TOP. "You would like our Tower though, you can see so much from my window.Makes the hike worth it."

Nudge. Nudge. "You Tune them out, huh?" Giggle. "You Tune a lot." She... managed a quick nuzzle while they walked.

"It kind of makes sense, if you think about it. Lions are proud creatures, so they get a tower. You Ravenclaws are Eagles... high up in the sky, smart... and it's like all-seeing and all knowing," Jake explained, thinking some more. "Slytherins are sly and cunning, or meant to be... so going underground makes sense. And then Hufflepuffs are meant to be humble, I guess? Plus, badgers live in dens, like juuuuuust underground."

Yeah.

Makes sense.

"I wonder if Helga Hufflepuff... liked her food? We're riiiiiiiight by the Great Hall and also practically beside the kitchens," the young man mused. Not that he was complaining. He loved going to the kitchens of a night, whether it was allowed or not.

"I've been in the Ravenclaw tower," Jake pointed out with a teeny smirk. "When the lower floors flooded, the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs couldn't live downstairs. Slytherin went to Gryffindor tower and Hufflepuffs went to Ravenclaw," he explained, and then... thought. "It was... real majestic. I was an impressed little second year."

The young Hufflepuff chuckled gently when Neptune pointed out what he said. "I do, don't I?" He'd been expecting her to say that as soon as he'd realised his owned wording.

Neptune was amused. "That was rather... logical, Mr. Morgan. Perhaps you Tune too much. This Ravenclaw is rubbing off on you." Giggle. She shot him a look when he mentioned having been in the Ravenclaw Common Room - and almost asked something else. She bit it back at the last moment and her hand sunk down into her pocket again. Hmmm.

"Slytherins should be lower than they are. Let's just put them out of the castle." Neptune sighed and stroked at the golden ball in her pocket. Obviously Miss Bott was still pretty agitated by the group Slytherins."Like out in the Forbidden Forest."

"I'm smarter than people give me credit for," Jake grinned in response to the Ravenclaw thing. "Twelve O.W.L.s right here, dontcha know. Eleven Os," he added, and then... kind of almost shuddered. His N.E.W.T.s were coming up soon... and he really wanted to get top grades in those... and he was pressuring himself.

Feh.

"I probably would be a Ravenclaw if I weren't so darn honest and all the rest," he shrugged one shoulder, and then PROPER laughed at what Neptune said next. "I couldn't agree more. Our minds have been tuned with each other."

Hurrhurr.

"True," Simon replied in agreement. It was all up to people's interpretations and to him and now apparently Selina, reading was an acceptable pastime so his status as a bookworm was safe alongside his newer athletic persona. He smiled as she did, feeling for the first time other then her first passion filled conversation at the opening feast, that the younger girl seemed to be relaxing more around him.

"I could say the same for not knowing much about you," he admitted in return. Other then of course her being a first year Gryffindor and the fact that she loved quidditch. "What would you like to know?" the captain offered figuring to see what he could do to change her information as long as he was comfortable with what was asked.

"Yeah. It's nice to know at least someone accepts me even if I look nothing like them. Though I still wonder about my birth parents," Stephen shrugged. Maybe some other time he'll ask his parents about them. "That's because they're younger. Same thing happened to my brother when my best friend and I would break something in the house. Mom would always yell, 'Leonard, why weren't you watching them?! Why didn't you clean up this mess?! Why didn't you do this, do that?!' It's a common thing,"

Stephen nodded. He only kept to himself sometimes unless he was with Lexi. Or girls would kind of stalk him for Valentine's Day there. but he didn't find himself good looking. The only thing Stephen liked about his physical features was his eyes. That's it. "Alright there. Peace is finally made between the short blondie and a green-eyed monster," he laughed.

Cassie nodded and beamed brightly at the mention of Bryce's little sister Gracie. She was such a little sweetie-pie. But she supposed the little girl was just like her big brother because Bryce was a sweetie-pie too." Yes I have! She's sooooo cute and sweet Bryce. Omg, I love her!"

A frowned crossed her pouty lips when Bryce mentioned whatr Hannah had said to Gracie...the girl was truly unstable if not completely crazy. She had no idea what Bryce had seen in her in the first place." yeah that was pretty messed up, even for Hannah..." when Bryce hugged her she smiled and hugged him back. Goodness knows the boy probably needed one." No problem Brycie.

Bryce nodded. YES everyone thinks that she's so sweet. Okay well she is but she can acct like a spoiled brat even though the truth is she is NOT "Well I'm glad you think that. You should see her when she wakes up in the morning. It's not to pretty." Bryce laughed. It was so true.

"I'm sorry but that hug I gave you was uncalled for." Bryce said to her. It sounded funny but it wasn't suppose to sound funny because it wasn't. She had a boyfriend so he could not let his feelings show to her. It was wrong.

Selina thought hard about Simon's posed question. What did she want to ask? There was so much she did not know about him. Where was even a good place to start? Of course she knew that he played Quidditch, liked to read, and such, but anything personal was new territory.

"Okay, let's start simple. Do you have any siblings? I mean that's simple enough... I think." Selina asked. Part of her was worried about making a fool of herself in front of him, but the other part of her was okay with what she had asked. She had to start somewhere.

Simon waited patiently as Selina thought over what she would ask him. He wasn't real worried on the topics and it wasn't like he had any secrets or information that he would be tight lipped about if the girl was to ask about it. The sixth year absently nodded as she finally spoke up once more, waiting until she was done before supplying a response.

"Yep nice and simple. One sibling...an older brother named Jonathan," he answered with a smile, the question quite managable."What about you? do you have any siblings yourself?" the captain asked returning the favor. It wouldn't be polite not showing interest in his companion in return.
