"No, no. I can't sit with what I have to show you, but I already knew you were a metamorphmagus. I spotted your hair change in class. I like it." He smiled at her. "Ok. now for my secret." He walked out of the room and looked down the corridor to make sure nobody was coming, and walked back into the room. He took off his cloak and laid it across her lap. He took off his vest and loosened his tie and took both off and laid them both on top of his cloak. He then worked the buttons and pulled his shirt from his pants and removed his shirt entirely. with his back turned to her, he turned around and faced her. "Now you know why I rushed out of class. Everytime I use a spell or any kind of wand work, they grow darker. Look at my left arm, then look at my right. as you can see, the entire right arm is darker than the left. That's because I use my right arm to cast with. The lightning bolts, once covered with the rest of the body runes, will do something. and if I keep using spells and wandwork, something will happen. I don't know what exactly, but I'm guessing it's going to be momumental big."

He shivered and put his shirt back on, but didn't button it up. "I think it's time for my Slytherin friends know what I am." He swallowed hard and grabbed his vest and tie and left them in his hand. He grabbed his cloak and put it on over his shirt. "I promise not to divulge your secret to anybody I know and don't know." He leaned in kissed her on the forehead, and smiled at her very brightly and grabbed her hand and walked her to the winding stairs that lead out of the dungeons. "Never know what that Gervik guy will say." He chuckled after he actually listened to himself. He turned aaround to go towards his common room, but something in him held him there.

"Oh, you noticed that. Yeah, well, that's when it's hard to hide it." she blushed a little when he smiled. She watched him check to see if anyone was coming. When he was sure of it, he took off his cloak. Then he proceeded to remove his tie and vest. Whoa! she thought this is a little too fast. Then she saw what he was talking about when she faced him. Her hand found her open mouth as she gasped. "Oh dear." She was not sure how she could help him. She wanted to so bad, but was not sure. "I won't tell anyone, but you must promise you'll get some help. This could be bad and I wouldn't want something bad to happen to you." She was really concerned for him.

"Are you sure you want to tell them?" She already knew how they felt about muggleborns, she wasn't sure how they'd take this. She held her breath as he leaned in to kiss her. Totally unexpected, she thought, yet nice. She smiled back at him. Secrets were what they had to share. He grabbed her hand and seemed to be trying to get her away from something. As he turned to leave for his common room, Jaina still had his hand. She didn't know his name and she hadn't told him hers. "It's Jaina, in case you were wondering. Jaina Maloney." She leaned in and gave him a huge hug. "It'll be ok. I promise you. We'll figure this out." The strength of the promise could be heard in the words she spoke.

"By now, you know my last name is Trevors, first name Benjamin. And I'm in the process of talking to Professor Lafay about this. But I don't really think that she can help much withought the Headmaster and runes teacher knowing it too. But, I'm tired of trying to hide these all the time. It's stressful, it can get complicated, and mostly, I'm just tired of what people will say or think when they see them. You'd better hurry up to your common room before Gervik spots you. We don't really know exactly what he'll do if he does happen to see you. I'll walk you halfway, then run my little butt back down here and into my common room. Ok? I think I can deal with the punishment if I'm caught. But I don't want you to get in trouble. So let's hurry."

Jaina held onto his hand as he bolted up the stairs with her in tow.
ooc: heading to kitchen level corridor

"Uh... I think I will," said Helena, trying to catch up with Damian. "I told you, I'm not very fond of this kind of places," she added, blushing. "But it's weird, because I don't enjoy that much the warmth, light and... I don't know what to say about Hufflepuffs yet." Well, the house was really not important for Helena.

"Oh, don't take me too seriously. I just like making fun of those folks." Damian pointed out to Helena when the girl caught up her, still smiling with warmth in her eyes. Quite a rare phenomenon actually. "So... What were you planning for today before I disturbed your day?"

Whistling a loud and somewhat eery tune, Jake strolled ever so casually down to the dungeons and then just wandered up and down the corridors, sunglasses on, still whistling away.

He was thinking... and this seemed to be the best place. The whistling echoed off the walls and the sound of his footsteps reverberated as he walked... it was all quite creepy... therefore Jake loved it.

"Oh, nothing... I just wanted to... explore, I guess," said Helena unsure. "And you didn't disturb my day," she added, now laughing.

"So, do you have any plans?"

"As a matter I was planning to curse someone but it's against rules." Damian answered laughing. "Wanna go check out our table in the Great Hall?"

Helena suddenly stopped when she heard her talk about cursing. "That was so not funny," she said, trying to laugh. "It's a good thing it's against the rules," she added, playing along.

"Sure, let's go."

For a moment Damian's eyes turned dark as she said quietly "Doesn't mean I can't do it somewhere else..."
Damian extended her hand in the air, inviting Helena to go first.

"You're really starting to scare me," she said, laughing. Or... should she laugh?

A moment of silence as Damian eyed the girl with a serious face expression. Finally she spoke in a low voice, slowly, trying not to fail her explanation. "You shouldn't be scared, Helena. I am a violent person, indeed, that's true... but... I don't harm those that haven't done anything to me. And I would never harm you unless you stab my back." she rested her hands behind her back, continuing to walk, and added with a smile. "I find you interesting, as a matter of fact."

Helena listened carefully to everything Damian told her. "Then I guess we'll be okay, since I don't stab anyone's back," she said, grinning. "Even though I didn't know about the 'violent' part. But I guess it doesn't matter if we're going to be friends. Or aren't we?"

Interesting? Okaaay.

"Of course I would like to be your friend. It's not like you're Hufflepuff!" this joke never got old.

"Hey! What's wrong with the hufflepuffs?" she asked, slightly laughing, not exactly understanding the joke. Okay, now that she thought about it, maybe it sounded a little bit odd. Oh well.

As he strolled, Jake came across two girls. When he'd spoken to before and another he'd just seen but not really registered.

"Yeah, what's wrong with the Hufflepuffs?" he asked them, coming to a stop by them and shoving his hands into his pockets. He wasn't wearing his robes, but his zip-up hoodie over his uniform, then again, he may already be known as a Huffie.

"Oh, hey," said Helena, remembering the boy from the runes classroom. Great. Maybe she shouldn't have said that so loud, the Hufflepuff part. But she didn't say anything wrong, did she?

"Oh, you know, nothing personal, just my mean Slytherin duty to tease you guys," Damian bursted in sarcastic, yet somehow friendly laugh with an old English accent and manner. "And what is your name, my fellow Hufflepuff friend?"

"Hey Helena," Jake responded, friendly enough. This was the one he'd remembered.

"There's no such thing as a duty for any house," Jake responded, completely deadpan. He wasn't one to understand sarcasm or the rest of it. The young man frowned slightly and blinked behind his sunglasses. "Fellow Hufflepuff?" Nnnnooooooo. "I thought you were a Slytherin. My name is Jake."

...

Was he forgetting something? OH.

"What's your name?"

And as far as he was aware, they weren't friends yet.

A smile on Damian's face grew bigger. "I'm Slytherin indeed. And that's my name as well... Damian Slytherin." she extended her hand for a shake towards the boy.

So Jake remembered her! Yay, it turned out she wasn't so invisible as she thought she was.

"Heeey there's no need for... this," she said, referring to their argument-to-be. "But I guess I should shut up because I'm just a first year," she added, blushing.

"Mmm," Jake nodded. Quite literally a Slytherin. "I've not seen you 'round here before. Did you transfer in or have you just been lying low?"

Wait, huh?

"What?" Jake looked confused for a moment. "No need for what?"

But that wasn't important. "Hey now..." the young man frowned slightly as he let go of Damian's hand. "Nobody should ever have to shut up. Regardless of age or anything."

Lying low... heh.. speaking of Common Room under water... "I was homeschooled for first 5 years. But I dropped by once in a while to get materials from here..."

Helena's face was completely red now. "Well, I don't want you two to start arguing," she hesitated, "but maybe I'm just being paranoid as usual."
