Braeden laughed as Caroline complained over his teases before the girl went on to smack him - twice! She was, of course, being playful. But Braeden was a drama queen. Now his brown eyes grew sparkly and he pouted like a child whose hand had just been slapped for getting too close to the cookie jar. "Why must you be so abusive, Caroline?" he asked with mock sorrow in his tones. "Is this how you thank me for trying to save you from living the rest of your life as a walking, talking popsicle?" he asked, keeping on the act for a couple more moments before giving in and flashing her the goofy smile he'd been holding back. "Wise choice," he added as she decided to keep the jacket so he wouldn't cry. |

" Really? Abusive? who me? I'm the sweetheart of Slytherin, remember?" She smiled incoently up at Braeden, batting her eyelashes. Caroline ran her fingers though her hair, trying to fix it. She wasn't much of a girly girl but her hair was her best and favorite feature. She shrugged. She really couldn't figure this boy out. Braeden was very interesting. Now he uses the I saved your life card "Well it seems like you are always saving me" She said. She nodded in a agreement that it was wise of her to take the jakcet for herself. She walked on arms linked. Getting warmer and sleepier. She put her head on his arm and closed her eyes as the walked. "You could carry me to the common room, you know?" She said with her eyes closed. She was picking. Of course. |

Or, they did, at least, until Cassandra happened to mention that they were all closed now-a-days. "Secret passages? What did they lead to?" she asked. "I remember hearing about a few of them, but I don't really remember what they were used for. Too bad they're closed. It'd be sort of fun to explore them." At least until someone got caught... "Dive into the lake? In the middle of November?" Sierra asked with a tiny laugh. "No, thanks, but seeing the squid would be sort of cool. My sister's told me a little about that squid." She shrugged, no longer really interested in exploring the castle, since there didn't really seem to be any super shifty places to go to. "Are all the classes usually about muggles?" she finally asked. "I've noticed most of them, so far, have focused on the muggle world." |

And then Caroline was closing her eyes and resting her head on the boy's arm. Goofy Braeden's eyes shot up from the floor and widened at the sight; suddenly he felt a lot more awkward than he normally was. Oh Merlin, when was the last time a girl just randomly fell asleep on him? It had been a while… He would never get used to it. It made him feel all flustered. He was just about to suggest to Caroline that she open her eyes so she wouldn't run into something, when the girl suddenly spoke again, suggesting he carry her to the common room. At this suggestion, Braeden's dark eyebrows rose slightly. Could he pick her up and carry her again? His arms were still a little sore from the last time he had to carry her and then Ellie's books… he wasn't used to that much exercise... Braeden came to a sudden halt then, his feet becoming still as he turned to the girl at his side, watching her sleepy face with sympathy. "I can't guarantee I can pick you up without dropping you this time," started the boy with a soft chuckle, "But I could carry you on my back if you'd like," he proposed. He could do that. He carried his little sister around like this all time, why wouldn't he be able to do the same with Caroline? They were about the same size, even if Caroline was a bit older. |

Caroline's eye's shot open. Really? She used to love when her Brother Casey and father would give her piggy back rides. "Really?" she asked. She was so excited that she starting jumping up and down, clapping. She was so excited that she jumped on his back, not really jumped but got on. "Got me?"she asked, and grinned this may turn out interesting. |
Braeden almost fell flat to the floor when Caroline jumped onto his back like an excited six-year-old, not giving the boy the slightest chance to prepare himself for what was coming. His knees almost gave in at first, but he was able to straighten up and hold the girl on his back, his hands under her knees as her arms (I assume) wrapped around his neck. As she asked if he got her, the boy chuckled softly. "Well, I probably would've been a little more prepared if someone hadn't just attacked me like that," started the boy playfully, obviously just teasing her, "But I'm feeling pretty confident I won't be dropping you any time soon." He chuckled softly, obviously just teasing again. There was no way he was dropping her, but he let her doubt just for the fun of it. |
Caroline laughed like a hyper little 8 year-old after eating to much halloween candy. She added a snort to the end of the laugher. She covered her mouth with one hand and held on Braeden tigher with the other. "Sorry I suppose. I should have warnied you, I was going to jump on you" Her face went pink. "It just that I would love it get piggyback rides, from Casey and Da..." She cut off her speech. Luckily Brae had started teasing her about dropping her or not droping her. She trusted him. He didn't drop her the first time, and the had to go from the courtyard to the Hospital Wing. She was sure that they could make it from the Dungeon Corridor to the Slytherin common room. It wasn't far now. "You better not drop me"She sounded terrified."I don't want to explain to anyone what we were doing in the corridor this late at night with you, and and another bump on the headShe laughed "They might think you're the abusive one."The piggyback ride was pretty smooth. Caroline put her head on her arm, which was holding on to Braedens neck. She closed her eyes. She soon drifted off to a lite sleep. As the was being carried to her dorm. |
Braeden laughed lightly as Caroline apologized, going on to add that she should have warned him before jumping on him. "That, you should've," said the boy, though he was only teasing her. He didn't really mind all that much that she had jumped on him like that; sure, he almost fell and landed right on his face, but that didn't end up happening so there was no use getting upset over it. He wouldn't even have gotten upset even if he had fallen, anyway; it was hard to upset Brae. The boy was quiet as he continued down the eerily dark dungeon corridor, holding Caroline firmly and listening as the young girl began to explain to him how she loved to get piggyback rides from Casey and her dad. But then she trailed off, getting the boy's brows to furrow slightly in confusion. Huh. Did she maybe… not want to talk about her family? Well, if that was the case, he was better off not poking her with personal questions, then. So he kept his mouth shut. And then Caroline was warning him not to drop her, going on to add that people might begin to think he was the abusive one. The boy gasped and his jaw dropped at this. "That's ridiculous!" he said, amusement behind his brown eyes as he spoke. "I would never lift a finger at a girl. Or a child, or an animal, or even another guy… at no one, really," he said with a soft chuckle. It was true, though, Braeden was the most non-violent person alive. "No one would believe you," he added confidently. But Caroline didn't respond. A bit puzzled, the boy turned his head only to find Caroline's own resting on her arm, her blue eyes closed as she seemed to be falling asleep. Braeden smiled warmly at the sight and said nothing, not wanting to disturb the girl from her sleep as he continued down the dark corridor toward the Slytherin common room. They were only a minute or two away now. |
Caroline liked that Brae never asked questions. althought she disscussions about her family were near nonexistent, besides her brother and sister, which she was the closest to. She could faintly makeout his voice thur her lite nap, but she opened her eyes slightly, enough to see Brae's brown eyes looking at her. She gave him a sleepy looking grin, and closed her eye tightly shut. She knew that they were getting close to the Slytherin common room. She really wouldn't have minded if this was the way they come from the kitchens, like this she didn't have to do anything. |
Eventually, after a couple more minutes of walking down a creepy dark corridor with a sleeping girl on his back, Braeden made it to what he believed to be the dungeon leading to the Slytherin common room. He didn't visit this place very often - actually, he never visited it - so his memory had gone a little foggy about which way the common room was. But he was able to remember more clearly the closer he got to it, as he remembered taking this path on his way to and from Potions each year. The boy came to a halt right before the dungeon doors and turned his gaze back to the girl who was still merrily sleeping on his back. He felt kind of bad waking her up, especially when she looked so peaceful, but… well, even if he didn't mind, he couldn't be her bed tonight. He had his own bed to go back to. "Caroline…" he spoke, trying to wake the girl up without being too obnoxiously loud and awakening her too abruptly. "We're here," he announced with a small smile to the sleepy girl, beginning to release her slowly and gently until her feet met the cold marble floors of the school. Brae turned to face his shorter Slytherin friend and flashed her one of those dorky smiles of his. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" he said. "Try not to fall asleep on your way to the dormitories," he teased, well aware that the girl's sleepiness had her barely fully alert at the moment. He could relate, though. He was so sleepy he could just drop to the floor and sleep right there. |
Caroline wasn't fully awake when her feet hit the floor, but she was awake enough to stand on her own. Thanks she whispered sleepily. She opened her eyes just enough to see Braeden goofy smile going at her. She smiled back at him sleepily. Thanks Ponyboy. My dad said that he would get make a unicorn before he died, but I guess, I've got you, my Brae ponyboy instead you'll do she said with another sleepy smile. Goodnight, Brae She said giving him a sleepy friendly goodnight hug See you tomorrow. as she walked to the door. I'll try not too while she pushed the door opened. Dont get caught on your way back up to Gryffindor tower. I'd hate for you lions to lose any points, Ha ha....not she smiled, and walked thur the door and shut it behind her. she smiled a smile of satisfaction. That was interesting. |
Braeden seemed to sigh in relief as Caroline, sleepy as she was, thanked him for the ride. Okay good, so she wasn't sleepwalking, she was actually really half-awake. That wasn't as good as completely-awake, but it was something. And then she was calling him 'Ponyboy'. Braeden couldn't help but laugh lightly at this amusing nickname; his laughter died out, though, as the girl continued speaking, sharing with him how her father had promised her a unicorn before… dying? Had he heard her right? Braeden's brown eyes widened, and the rest of Caroline's sentence seemed like a bit of a blur to him. He hadn't expected to find this out now, at… well, the most random of times. It completely shocked the boy; it wasn't so much the information that shocked him, but the fact that Caroline would share something so personal with him. She must've really trusted him. And, well, that really flattered Braeden. The Gryffindor boy returned Caroline's hug a bit distractedly, flashing her an absentminded smile as she headed on over to the Slytherin common room, mentioning something about him being careful and not losing Gryffindor more points. "I'll try my best," said the boy softly, giving an awkward wave as his Slytherin friend disappeared into the Slyherin dungeon. He remained standing outside for a few more seconds, just sort of frozen to the spot, before sighing softly to himself and starting on the way back out of the dungeons, thoughts of his bed in the Gryffindor tower gone and replaced instead by thoughts of that night; of how much he had learned about his friend in just a few seconds. He would have trouble sleeping that night. |

"Do you know anything about that security officer?" she asked. "I was a little leery of him at first, but I met him at The Hog's Head, and he seems alright. He's not half as bad as I thought he'd be." |

"I need to get going," she finally said. They'd been standing in this corridor for a while now, and Sierra still hadn't made it to the place she'd been trying to get to in the first place. "It was cool meeting you, though. I'll see you around." With a parting glance toward the girl and then a small smile, Sierra turned on her heels and then headed off down the corridor. |

He had never visited the dungeons?! D: "Really? That's a crime." Violet came down here all the time, which made sense since that's where her house is. Yeah... "YUP. I'm going to get all warm and cozy in my comfortable common room." GIGGLE. |

Destiny hehe Holy Merlin! She didn't expect Destiny to chase after her! Bursting through the portrait door, she made a hasty turn to the right and ran down the corridor as fast as she could. Well, not really as FAST as she could, but she really was trying to get away from Destiny. It was just a horn! She could totally find something else to annoy people with! That was...less annoying. |
Quote:
Yeah, I'm going to use it to study.. Or whatever was said. It wasn't really important. What was important was Evelyn was getting away with the horn and Destiny wanted it back! She wanted it back right NOW! "Evelyn!" she called, running (which looked more like galloping thanks to the sofa cushion) after her down the looooong corridor. "Don't make me give you hair balls!" Because she so would. |
Quote:
She would…wouldn’t she… Which just made this situation that much worse didn’t it. Good Merlin, Destiny can get quite scary sometimes; perhaps not with her expressions, but…hair balls? REALLY!? "You'll have to catch me first!" And whenever her friend DID catch up to her, the horn would be destroyed, and she’d have a shield up. Hehe, as easy peasy right? Right! Taking a quick glance over her shoulder, Evelyn smiled before turning around another corner, and running down the length of that corridor. Eh, did she just miss a turn? Or went down the wrong way? It felt as if this went forever! And she’d been here for almost 5 years already! |
Quote:
Destiny didn't have to catch Evelyn to give her hair balls. It was a spell and she didn't have to be anywhere near her to use it..or did she? She really had no idea and she should probably pay more attention in DADA lessons from now on. Of course, she could always just practice and if it didn't work, she would just have to catch her. But, she couldn't do anything with the stupid sofa cushion in her hand. She couldn't even run properly! Tossing the cushion to the side, hopefully she would remember where it landed for later on, Destiny continued to run annnnd almost missed that turn. Sneaky Evelyn. "Just give it back! I won't honk it anymore!" Lies! |
For Trinaaa <3 Braeden rubbed his hands together deviously (and because his hands were freezing to death; sheesh why did it have to be so cold down here?!) as he and his fellow troublemaking Gryffindor walked down the freezing cold dungeon corridor. Sadly, their plan to kidnap the suits of armor and move them to the Gryffindor Common Room hadn't worked out, BUT. They were back. And with new ideas. And new victims. This time it would be the Slytherins. Things were not yet set in stone, but they knew one thing for sure so far - whatever prank they pulled this time, it would be a war of the Houses: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. With Gryffindor on top, of course. "How do these people live down here? It's always freezing," said Braeden as they walked down the corridor, his teeth chattering. It probably didn't help that it was the middle of winter and below zero outside. |
