Lucy was listening carefully to what Helena said about the problem thing "hmm, okay, that sounds a bit better to me. Thanks Helena" she said and smiled "So do you have any doubts?" she asked her to see if she could help her too.

Jake nodded at Bishop and reached for his bag when she said they were all done. Treyen was already gone, thank Merlin, so Jake wasn't tempted to hit him around the head with his bag.

"Thanks for the information," he smiled slightly at the woman, shouldering his bag properly and referring the answers he'd got. "Laters."

And, leaving the cards on the table, Jake left as well, unsure of where to head to before his next lesson.

Yeah, fun, but she hadn't really learned anything.

He looked at the cards lined up before them "The Knight of Wands, The Moon and The Fool." He frowned just slightly. "You know what those mean?"

Nika picked up her things and put the strap of her bag on her shoulder. "Good because I didn't want to walk back to the common room alone! I really enjoyed the lesson! I thought it was fun too!" Nika held her hand out to Emily and skipped towards the door.

"Thank you proffessor I really enjoyed the lesson! I can't wait until the next class," Nika smiled genuinely. She wasn't trying to suck up to the teacher. it was true that she loved the first lesson! Although at first she was a bit lost, when it got more into the class she felt as though she could pull through. Divination maybe a challenge, but Nika loved challenges and so this was her chance. Nika waved goodbye to the professor and continued with Emily towards the door.

Oh, so it was time to go now? She and Satine had both done three readings for one another, so she guessed that was enough information to handle for now. Besides, Sierra was running out of creative ways to say 'look within your inner self'.

Her gaze traveled from the professor back to Satine, and Sierra neatly stacked her deck of cards together as she spoke. "Well, I guess that's all then, hmm? Thanks for partnering up with me," she said. Grabbing a hold of her school bag, she stood from her desk and got ready to go. "Have a good day, Satine."

With a parting glance toward her Divination partner, Sierra turned on her heels and made her way to the shelf she'd gotten the deck of cards from. She laid them there neatly, gave the professor a tiny wave, and then walked out the room.

Simon wanted to have a word with the Professor as he wanted to know if there was any book he could read to help him get better on Divination, something like the Guide to Divination for dumb people, because Simon surely needed a mircle now to get better at Divination. "Professor can I have a word with you please?"

Salander listened to the young Slytherin girl as she read the meaning of the Knight of Wands 'An excting trip?' Salander mused tilted his head. He had been traveling quite a bit over the summer-- well truthfully he's gone over more miles over the summer than in all of his 17 years.

He nearly choked when Faye began reading The Moon card. "Trickeries and falsehoods?" he repeated dumbstruck as he stared at the middle card. How did this thing know? Heck, did this thing know that he was being duped for a while now?

Can it foresee the future?

He listened extra carefully to the meaning of the last card. To start with he didnt like it-- The Fool. He's been called that way too often and was pretty much how he's been feeling for the past few weeks. He leaned back in his seat when Fee was done reading "Huh.... so I could 'be all I could be'-- except I gotta watch for the landmines lest I blow my foot off?'"Well, that kinda made a bit of sense, although he had wanted something more definite-- like if he'd win the lottery or if a certain Durmstranger will get kidnapped by aliens and disappear off the face of the Earth....

Bah focus Salander!

He watched Fee pick out her three cards and started to read their meanings left to right "The Star-- Its the card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming..."

He then moved on to "The Sun-- the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises the Querent their day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully conscious and wide awake. This is science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy." He looked that the Slytherin girl "Sounds like you got some good things going already..."

He looked over the last card "The High Priestess-- is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know in order to make a decision about a problem or a job, an investment, love, career, family, etc."

She turned her head to face the professor. "Goodbye, professor. And indeed, it was a great lesson," she continued for Lucy. "Maybe I'll see you later," said Helena, facing Lucy again.

That would be totally scary. But then again they lived in a magical world, everything was possible.Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success.Sounded good didnt it? Lets see what the future would bring. You never knew.Looking at the Slytherin the blonde nodded."Dunno what it could be",she chuckled,"makes me excited though."Who wouldnt be after hearing something like that?!

Reveal the secrets you need to know in order to make a decision ?How about finding out Hugo did like her too? That would be a goiod thing. But pfffft, the girl shouldnt day dream about something like that.Wasnt going to happen anyway, so what?!Maybe there were some other undiscovered secrets it got to find out.Would be interesting. Rowan collected her things and walked to the front of the room. "Thank you for a wonderful lesson, Professor," she said. "See you next time." She then made her way out of the room and headed for the library for some much needed studying.

Luinevaug 01-20-2011 10:25 PM

Luin had finished her reading although she wasn't convinced of everything in the meanings of the cards. She shrugged though, at least this was more practical than tea leaves. She listened as the teacher told them they could leave if they were finished. She packed up her things quickly and started towards the door, "Thank you Professor." she smiled, and then left.

SPOILER!!: card no 10 = probable outcome

he may be knowledgeable, he think in magic, instinctual as muggle, reveal the secrets (no don't do that)and make a decision about a anything.

secret knowledge (his magic); yes, maybe I'll be learning some very odd things. "if being a wizard is odd to my mother, then I'd love to be at odd". Raven murmur

now, now, Raven need to clarify his reading to the professor.

Professor, need help and clarification, please
. Raven say

Raven waited to the professor to attend him.

"my first card say, if not mistaken, tell me this, that my mind strength is more vicious than the my physical, the second card say I am likely be unbiased in making observation and prediction, the third card is make me a man of wild behavior and unbridled desires with temptation." Raven paused he need to inhale some oxygen to continue.

"The fourth card signify that I'm a wizard rather than a muggle, and I reflect the past in the present, and make move upon it, the fifth say I am full of enthusiasm, energy, aggression. and make a direct maybe decision, and intelligent." Raven paused again, eyeing the professor, giving emphasis to his word.

"The sixth told me to be at great transformation, and changes, in the near future, that there is a huge changes will going to happen to me, the seventh card say like that my magic is at best, when my emotion is at high, the eighth card say I have the spark. That maybe lead me to "usual" directions and seasons" Raven momentary stop.

"The ninth card say that I am not the serious type wizard in all aspect of life, I am always find a ways to get funny thing, even in awkward situation, the spark, that is my hope professor, and the fears, being stagnant like water in a bowl, if I stay to as playful one. and lastly the deciding card , the tenth card say I become knowledgeable maybe in magic, and instinctual maybe like muggle, but I have also the tendency of revealing secrets (I didn't do that) and can make a decision about a anything. and lastly the tendency of making very ODD thing. Isn't that right professor, tell me please." Raven say likely begging to Professor.

Before she could really settle behind her desk again, giving a smile to each of the students who thanked her or simply said goodbye on their way out, Renée looked up as she heard another plea. “Of course, Mr. Perevell,” she said, standing up again and making her way over to his desk. Glancing at his spread, she nodded slightly to herself as she briefly analyzed all the cards, before turning dark eyes to the Gryffindor as he spoke again. “Well, most of that seems fairly accurate. Or, not so much accurate as a good interpretation, as I can’t say I would know better than you if it was accurate. However, there’s a few things I’d clarify. First, I think you’re misinterpreting the Devil a bit. It’s not so much making you a person like that as explaining that you either have those ambitions and temptations inside you or you’re withholding them. And I’d interpret your eighth card as symbolizing more of an instance that your friends and family ground you. Beyond that, it seems only the High Priestess you’ve had difficulty with, as she doesn’t reveal her secrets unless she so chooses, and you could learn odd things from that.” All in all, she was rather pleased, really. People had worried they wouldn’t understand, but it was fairly simple with a little interpretation. “Was that all you needed me for?,” she asked then, with a smile. “If so, I’ll just head back to my desk, and you can find me there.” Since she’d told everyone else she’d be there, after all.

A black crow was launched from the point of her wand. In flew a few laps over her head and disappeared. Damian was able to turn little things in birds but never was she able to cast a long lasting spell to create a bird from thin air.

And, returning to her desk, it seemed her thoughts had been well placed as people started approaching almost as soon as she’d arrived back. But first, Renée had glanced at Damian for a moment, as the girl seemed to be having a few difficulties. There hadn’t been any requests for help, so she merely gave her a concerned look before continuing on her way. Hopefully someone could help her if necessary. There seemed to be enough Slytherins for that, if they were willing to help their housemates. But once she returned to her desk, she smiled as Kurumi approached. “No, feel free, Miss Hollingberry,” she replied. “As long as I get them back at some point.” She hadn’t brought her favorite decks into class anyway, those she wouldn’t lend out.
Turning as she heard Jake speak, she sent the Hufflepuff a nod. “You’re welcome. Any time,” she said with a smile, noting he’d left his deck on his desk. It wasn’t a big deal, really, as she could clean up after everyone left, but even so, she lightly flicked her wand at the deck, wrapping it again in the fabric and sending it to rest on the shelves. It made her feel better. But then she had more students with questions, and she turned back to give Simon and Miss Kelley a smile. “Certainly,” she said to both of them, “Would you rather talk right now, or is this something you’d rather people not hear?,” she asked. She wasn’t sure how many people might be at her office after class, that was, but then she also didn’t know if the questions were private.

He had been invisible. Invisible naps were naturally more satisfying than regular ones.

"Yes, Professor," the Security Liaison spoke up, falling in step behind the Hufflepuff boy. "I was wondering the same, if I could perhaps speak with you at your convenience."

Gevrik smiled politely and stood with his hands folded behind his back as he waited for an answer.

Shortly after the students had asked to speak to her, Renée’s suspicions about people having been invisible were proven as Mr. Gevrik suddenly appeared where she’d thought she’d sensed him before. His reappearance didn’t seem to affect her as much as it had the students, and she turned a calm and generally friendly smile to the dark man as he spoke. “Of course,” she replied, neutrally. She still had the feeling that he was similar to her in certain ways, which both piqued her curiosity and unnerved her a little. It was definitely different than when she’d discovered Jared’s ability, which had also piqued her curiosity. But she felt like she completely trusted the Charms professor. The security liaison was another story altogether. She’d hear him out, though. There was no reason not to, but she’d talk to her students first.

Raven smile back, he seem happy being corrected, his worry been lost and give him a nice feeling. "Thank you, Professor", Raven replied back.

Now, time to go, Raven smooth away the Tarot card, properly place it in box, then into the rack, where originally placed the card, before he turn back to his desk and pick his things, "Good day again, bye, Professor" Raven say while he walk toward the classroom exit

Cass's Reading

"Alright, sounds simple enough." Cass said with a shrug. Then she randomly picked out three cards while thinking "Will I ever make it to the best student's list?'" over and over again
Audrey flipped over the first card, the one that shows the past.

Quote:

"The Emperor Reversed Opposite: If the Emperor is the father, the adult parent, then the opposite is the baby. The negatives or opposites of the Emperor card is that of childishness: the leader is tyrannical, the worst sort of Nero-like dictator; he uses his aggression, temper and his charm for his own selfish wants rather than to help his kingdom.
In the opposite camp, this is a card about inconsistency and unpredictability. There is no control, only impulsive demands."
"Were you a little impulsive in the past?" Audrey asked seriously.

"Never mind," she said "I'll flip your next card. Oh dear, Nine of Swords Reversed."

Quote:

The "last stand" card has a person putting their final reserves of energy into maintaining, guarding and supporting whatever it is they've built. There is the temptation to surrender, to give up, but if they just hold out, they will succeed. It's almost over.

Reverse this and we might well say to our poor soldier that the cavalry aren't coming. The reversed card signals either not having enough energy for that last stand, or a waste of energy. Like putting all your energy into an important sales pitch and succeeding, only to find that your bosses have changed their minds about the deal. Trying to save the fort wasn't worth the effort."
"You need to but your energy into important things Cass."

Audrey did the last card.

Quote:

"Queen of cups, this is a good one. A happy card which indicates balance and harmony. Also symbolizes high achievements."

Cass frowned at the cards that were before her. Sure she was impulsive as a child, but hey that just who she was, she wanted something, she would get it in a snap. That's her world.

"Oh well, do you still want me to do you?" She asked

"If you would like to, sure" she replied.

"Also your last card was Queen of cups."

Queen of Cups

Often a healer, counselor or psychic, this is a woman who seems to know what's wrong even before you open your mouth. Call her the emotional fix-it woman, but she seems to have exactly the right solution to problems relating to home, friends, love. Sometimes she is shy, self-effacing, you might not even notice her; other times she can be a little scary, dreamy, mysterious, a creative storyteller. Affectionate and loving, she is a "mom's mom" always there to hug, heal and bake cookies for her children. Her intuition is uncanny, her temper...well, it runs very deep and you don't ever want it turned against you. Talk about scary. Unfortunately, this is also a queen who can suffer from female hormonal problems, depression, moodiness, alcoholism, drug addiction, psychological problems.
