Once you arrive to the Divination classroom, you enter to find what looks like a standard classroom setup. Desks arranged in the center of the room, facing Professor Bishop's desk and organized into pairs, look toward a charmed blackboard which currently simply says "Divination Lesson 1" in a graceful cursive. A good-sized bookshelf is against the right-hand wall and contains a large amount of small fabric-wrapped shapes.
Professor Bishop is seated at her desk, writing on something, the wooden box from her office moved to the desk in here, but she's still aware of the room. Don't think she isn't, just because she looks occupied with other things.
Feel free to take a seat, talk quietly, get your things ready and class will start shortly.
Feel free to post your character entering, speaking to each other or the professor. I'll check in when I can, so don't go overboard, and the lesson will begin tomorrow.
Lexi adjusted her robes and hiked her bag up higher as she came through the door of the Divination classroom. She was all set to be grouchy. "Good day Professor," Lexi said bowing her head in respect before finding a seat near the door. Divination was not her strong suit, but she would give it a shot.
Perhaps things would be interesting and she wouldn't fall asleep and drool on her desk or something. HOPEFULLY.

She then smiled at her again before turning and seeing her best friend Selina. Violet quickly walked over to her taking a seat right next to her, pulling out her book, ink, and pen. "Good morning Selina! How excited are you about Divination?" She giggled as she played with her a hair a little bit.
Still in her seat for the time being, Renée's expression turned curious as it seemed the next student to enter felt the need to approach her directly instead of a simple greeting while finding a seat. Hmm, she thought, before smiling at the Hufflepuff. "Good morning. It's nice to meet you Violet, and I'm glad to hear you're excited," she replied, glancing at the desks as if to silently nudge her to take a seat. Introductions could take place any time, but right before class wasn't necessarily right. But it seemed Miss Le Veela took the hint, as she giggled her way into a seat next to another girl, and Renée went back to any new entrances.

"Good day Professor" she said polietly, taking a seat at the back of the room. She may not like the subject but she still wanted to make a good impression.
Renée nodded at the two girls who entered after Miss Le Veela, smiling at each of them. Even as one chose to approach her desk first like the Hufflepuff had. Maybe it was a respect thing, like being called ma'am. "Good morning," she said to both of them, momentarily watching as they settled into their chairs before returning her attention to the room as a whole. At least most students seemed to have politeness down, and even some excitement. She didn't know if it was sepcifically for the subject, but she coudl work with it either way.

It wasn't like he had actually done something wrong, for as far he knew, the adult at Jake's party was the new Divination professor. But he just so wondered if he had made a bad impression to the new professor when he met her at the party. Guh, he was being silly. Definitely. 'Are you nervous?' or 'You're nervous' couldn't exactly mean he'd done or showed something wrong. Oh. Silly him.
It was after a moment when Cedric shrugged the 'silly' thought away (yes, he decided the thought itself was silly. Totally not him). And so he walked into the room, his hands on his pockets, and eyes glancing round the room casually. Then his gaze fell upon the woman. "Hello ma'am," he greeted, and then noticed Treyen... looking a bit gloomy unlike his usual self. He walked toward Trey, flopped down on the seat beside him, and offered, "Hey Trey. How's life treatin' you?" For it was treating him... a bit too wickedly.
Renée started to wonder if she was missing something as it seemed yet another student was paused just outside of the door. As far as she knew she hadn't made anyone think she was scary yet. Not among the students, at least (except for a select few), and even the other staff hadn't seemed to snub her. But she smiled as the person entered, and proved to be the other boy she'd spoken to at the party over the summer. That could explain it. "Good morning," she replied as he made his way to a seat near Mr Lockhart. At least people didn't seem to be confused about the concept of making themselves comfortable before the lesson began.
Although as she went back to her idle perusal of the classroom, her gaze stopped momentarily at a seemingly blank spot on the wall. Hmm, she thought again. That was definitely interesting, but she decided to let things spool out how they would. No need to make things worse before they started.

Rolling her shoulders, Evelyn eyed the room as she sat down in a random seat near the back. This may have been Josh's favorite class, but she had a tendency of falling asleep in it. Obviously, she wasn't going to fall asleep in the front. Seriously, she wasn't a Hufflepuff.
Pausing for a moment as she got out her notebook and quill, it took her a moment to realize that... MEEP! "Good...good day, Professor." she said, stumbling to stand up from her seat to say hello to the professor and making a tiny bit of ruckus. Eh, she could blame it on seeing a spider or something. Merlin, she had forgotten to greet the Professor in potions and Lafay looked like she was going to hex her. Who knew what this professor would do!
What...was her name anyways...
And Renée's contemplation of mysterious things faltered as she ehard a faint huff from outside the classroom, and she watched as another Slytherin girl made her way in and dropped into a seat near the back. ironically, it seemed, not far from where she'd been looking before, but she wasn't about to say anything. Her eyes widened in surprise, however, as the girl seemed to jump out of her seat suddenly, although they returned to normal soon after. "Bishop," she supplied with a smile, reading the question into the words. "Good morning to you as well. Are you quite alright . . .?" Yes, she really needed to learn the students' names. Without getting them directly from their heads, as that was rude. Most of the time.

Renée's attention to the Slytherin girl shifted as another girl made her way into the room. Another girl who seemed a bit grumpy, but she was hoping it wasn't the subject making her that way. She hoped it wouldn't be too confusing, as it was better for her when people had fun with Divination. They seemed to learn better that way, at least. "Good morning to you as well," she replied with a smile for the girl, inclining her head as she had been given a slight bow. Seat choice was completely up to the students. She didn't mind where they wanted to sit. It told a lot about the student, though.
She wasn't going to make too many assumptions, though. Or focus on her earlier suspicion. That only led to problems, and she wanted to try and avoid those as long as she could.

Katie smiled, this teacher was nice "I'm well thank you Professor" She said nodding her head once, yes she liked this teacher she was nice like Truebridge, at least, she is know.

She was really going to have to learn everyone's names.
Kurumi smiled at Professor Bishop before finishing setting out her things. Parchment and quills to her right while her Divination notes from last year, kept in a green clear file, to her left. One never knew when old notes would come in handy. "I am, thank you," Kurumi smiled in reply. She certainly had calmed down a bit since that night. No more jumping to conclusions about people being her classmates' mothers.

...
Yea, she would have probably asked herself if she was alright too if the roles were reversed.
Aw okay. "Good day, Professor Bishop." Well, it didn't seem like she was upset, angry, or ready to hex her into next week. Huh. "Oh, I'm fine. Just..." What was her excuse again? "...a spider..." Did that sound convincing enough? Right there on the floor where that small black dot was. Maybe it was a piece of black lint actually? Or a thread?
Chuckling as she felt her face warm up, she smiled and sat back down before immersing herself in doodling random dragons and creatures in her notebook, completely missing the fact that the professor would have wanted to know her name. She had some roster sheet or something didn't she?
Class hadn't even started yet, much less the actual year, and she was already losing it.
Eino entered the classroom humming to an old song his mother used to sing to him, trying tried to remember the lyrics. It went something like: To view the future through the glass pick a flower and kiss the lass, If her name Fair Phyllis be the mist will clear and you shall see, Her lover Amyntas and her flocks running away from a sly fox, And if towards you they make their way... Eino couldn't recall the last line, but it was supposed to help clearing one's mind to study Divination. He chose a seat somewhere in the middle and set up his desk with parchment, ink, quill, and his textbook, leaving everything else still in his bag until the professor instructed them to be used.
I'm just one of those pretty little liars... | | I'm held down in this starless city...
Helena entered the classroom, a little bit dreamy. "Hello, professor Bishop," she said as she walked past her desk. She also looked for a free desk and sat down, waiting for the class to start.
Jacqueline ran in the classroom, tired already. ''Good day,Professor!'' and quitely took a seat in the front. This is going to be fun,but she has a really bad headache now, hope it will pass soon.
Divination. Evangeline had mixed feelings on the subject, but she was giving it a try. Because being here now was a completely fresh start, so she was open to doing divination presently. "Hello, Professor." She said, nodding to her as she walked into the class room. "I'm Evangeline Benford." She introduced, not knowing if she was a new teacher or not. Either way she hadn't really met any teachers.

She looked around the classroom for somewhere to sit, when she caught sight of a familiar face. "Hey Lexi," she smiled, walking over to the girl. "Think I could sit here?" She asked, motioning to the sit beside her.
Entering the classroom, Dianna noticed the way the chairs were arranged. Great. She was already making up an equation in her head as she sat down on one of the chairs.
Two chairs+stuck together=Partners
Sighing she placed her bag next to her then greeted the Professor.
"Good day, Professor Bishop." she smiled. Nothing like starting the day with Divination.

Destiny was sure the stairs were out to get her. That would be the ONLY logical reason why there would be so many of them. To get her and only her. The stairs made her dislike Divination and when she failed her Divination OWL, she was going to blame them.
Her lack of studying would have nothing to do with it, nope.
Finally reaching the classroom, she took a moment to catch her breath before walking inside. And..it was a classroom. A normal looking classroom. Shrugging her shoulders, she gave the Professor a salute before walking over to Evelyn..

WHO WAS GOING TO KILL A SPIDER!
That was wrong, wrong, unacceptable and just WRONG! Walking a little quicker over to her friend, she placed her bag on the desk next to her, not really thinking or caring if she was saving it for someone else, and bending down, Destiny picked up the thing that sorta resembled a spider leg.
Was it a piece of thread? Yes, but Destiny didn't know that.
"Evelyn! You ripped it's leg off!"
Frown.

Honestly, Treyen Lockhart did NOT want to enter, he lingered for a while outside the door preparing himself for the no-Nolan scene.
But he couldn't just give up Divination, right? He actually liked the subject very much as to not be a part of it, not to mention he'd been pretty good at it before. There was also a part of him that felt curiosity at the thought of having this woman as a Professor. There was something about her...he was simply curious.
The boy straightened himself and sighed, then announced his entrance with a simple "Morning, Professor," and made his mind go blank. He didn't want any memories from when Nolan was here to be in his mind...or he'll break down in class.
He took a seat, not at the front like he used to. He took nothing out of his bag either.
Ellie was SHAKING. It was as if she was afraid. And, in a way, she really, really was. Her stomach hurt, she could barely see, her eyes were turning watery. She probably wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the secret mission she'd promised herself to go through with. All for Reyn's sake.
Slowly, she walked into the classroom. The seats...were in pairs. UNLIKE Reyn's seats. HMPH. Looking around, she spotted Treyen. She...couldn't smile at him. No. But she let her gaze stay on him for long enough to make eye contact. In a silent, 'Dear Merlin what am I doing here.' communication. She would have gladly sat next to him, but he was taken.
Maybe it was better that way? He'd probably try to stop her. From what, you ask? Her plan. Which, wasn't much different from what she usually acted in Divination. But her voice wasn't going to have the sarcastic tone it had with Reyn. She was going to be totally serious.
Maybe the teacher would quit?
Anyway, Ellie took a random seat, uncertain of whether it was next to someone or not. She...didn't have the focus to pay attention to such unimportant things.
She crossed her legs and crossed her arms. A position she was hoping to remain in through class. Different from the relaxed demeanor of Reyn's lessons. Though, LIKE Reyn's lessons, she didn't have materials for notes and such. Divination wasn't real anyway.

Renée bit back another grin as the next girl arrived shortly after she'd spoken to the Slytherin boy, silently asking for her name. if she'd been just a few seconds earlier, that might not have been a question, but she wasn't abotu to begrudge the girl. "Bishop. Professor Bishop," she supplied, "and good morning to you as well, Miss Salvatore. You seem excited." She wasn't against a bit of prying for basic information.
Professor Bishop. Right. Freya memorized the Professor name in her brain. She knew how horrible she was with remembering someone name. "Oh yes. Divination is my favorite subject, Professor Bishop" she said with a smile. She really like her new Divination Professor, she seems really nice.

Divination... why was she here? Considering she was awful at it, Zoey was extremely confused as to why she'd decided to attend this class in the first place. *siigh* Oh well, she was here already- might as well make the best of it. "Hello Professor." she said smiling, before taking a seat randomly. Not all of the Professors set their students on fire right?
Renée had taken the time between setting up the classroom and class beginning to jot down a few more plot ideas for her next book. Normally, she would have tried to just remember everything until she had free time, but she had a feeling her train of thought would shift before then. Especially if students actually appeared. She'd hoped there would be more than just the few students who'd seemed interested earlier, but she'd decided to hold the class either way. She'd get people interested one way or another.
She'd glanced up from the page on her desk briefly as people started filtering in, however. Smile growing as they kept coming, and she found her hopes growing. "Good morning," she said to those who greeted her. "Make yourselves comfortable, and I'll get things started soon," she added, before briefly noting a bit more on her paper.
Looking up again, another amused smile crept onto Renée's face as she saw the familiar figure of Rae, from the feast. Not to mention the expression on the Slytherin's face. "Good morning Miss Skye," she said, somewhat deliberately. The girl could dislike her, and could continue to choose not to speak. She was fine with that, simply because she knew it was just because of Jared. But that wasn't going to stop her from continuing to prove she knew she was there.
Her dark eyes tracked over from Miss Skye as Renée sensed a bit of boredom entering the classroom, and she smiled at the blond boy as he spoke politely. "Good morning,' she replied. "Hopefully you'll find my class is less tiring than you've previously thought." Just an assumption, nothing more, but people who chose to sit at the back usually expected little from class.
Renée smiled at the next girl who entered, skipping. The enthusiasm was almost refreshing, even if she couldn't say where it came from. It reminded her a little of herself when she was younger, really. "Good morning," she said in response to the greeting, as the girl made herself comfortable. "I'm doing quite well today." It seemed she wasn't going to get much more written though. Oh well, class should start soon anyway.
Her dark eyes widened slightly as she watched a boy literally trip into her classroom, but Renée remained quiet until he spoke. She watched as he righted himself, however. She just didn't want to step in if it could be taken wrongly. "Good morning," she replied as he settled into his seat. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Brooks, and I'm happy to hear that." There were still too many people who looked down on the subject as a bunch of guesswork and smoke and mirrors. At least he seemed to have recovered from his near miss.
A dark eyebrow raised infinitesimally as Renée saw the silent shudder of the Ravenclaw boy who entered. There was definitely a bit of curiosity as to where that had come from, but she wasn't about to call him out in front of the others in class. Perhaps later, although the smile she gave him as he spoke was just as curious. That smile could be a ruse, and she wasn't about to take it for granted as otherwise. "Good morning, Mr. McKinley," she replied instead, simply. Setting her pen down finally as she decided she wasn't going to get much more work done.
She had thought there was somebody standing just outside the door, and Renée smiled as it proved to be Mr Lockhart. opening the wooden box, she slid her papers inside as he greeted her, noting the neutrality of the words as she watched him. "Good morning, Mr Lockhart. You seem to have come to a conclusion or two," she commented idly, but still welcoming, latching the box and settling back into her chair as she smiled again. Perhaps he'd figured out a few more things, as she found amusement in how he'd cleared his mind, or possibly he just didn't want another situation.
As the next girl entered, Renée was both surprised and not surprised by the brightness. Of the girl's hair, of her demeanor. It seemed there were all kinds at Hogwarts, which was the exciting part of the Wizarding world. Along with the many things that could be learned. "Good morning, Miss Farris. Pleasure to meet you, and in fact my break was quite lovely," she replied with a smile, watching as Satine seemed to go through some consideration as to where she should sit. And as she chose, Renée kept watching. It seemed the bright girl knew Dallin, at least. "Be careful with the note passing. You don't want to risk the wrong person getting hold of them," she warned, before going back to waiting for others to arrive.
Another bit of amusement went through Renée as she noticed the next arrival to the classroom. Or, the student, who appeared to be a Slytherin, seemed to notice her. Interesting, going back to Miss Skye and her resentment. Seemed Slytherin was the place for that type of response. As he slid into one of the front desks, she fought to not laugh as she remembered the feast again. it seemed there was the possibility Professor Descoteaux wasn't the only one who gained the attention of students. He just got them first. "Good morning," she replied, still choosing to simply be amused by the way the boy was staring. Even as it could be just this side of creepy to others. "I appreciate the respect, but 'ma'am' makes me feel old. I'd prefer Professor Bishop," she said with a little grin. If they were continuing the respect issue.
Renée's amusement faltered a little as she watched the next young girl enter, smiling at another girl before apparently deciding against it. There had seemed to be excitement moments before, but now she felt a pang of sympathy. "Good morning. I'm quite well," she replied, giving her a smile. At least she would pay attention. "How are you?," she added, continuing her choice of being polite. At least there was time before the lesson. She thought she'd let more people make their way up before starting.

Jamie had entered smiled politely and said, "Good day Professor." She sat down in a chair and sighed. she was eager for the class she just wasn't sure if she'd pass.

When she entered she noticed that desks were paired up. As she walked in searching for a desk she introduced herself to the Professor, "Howzit, Professor. I'm Satine Farris, Sixth Year Ravvie. I hope you had a great break!"
She glanced around the classroom and saw an empty spot beside Dallin and paused for a moment debating if she should sit by him or not. She didn't want to seem needy or annoying so she made the decision to sit at the pair of desks across from him not at the desk paired directly with him. You never knew who might want to sit by her...right...
She sat down and pulled out her rainbow quill that made taking notes more entertaining and a purple notebook with a butterfly on the front of it and set them on her desk.
Satine glanced over at Dal with a smile and then opened her notebook and began writing on the first page. Then she tore the page out and folded it up and passed it to Dallin with a mischievous smile. As she handed it to him, she whispered, "for your eyes only..." with raised eyebrows trying to convince him that it was muy importante.
Text Cut: Note (just Satine being herself)
Howzit! =0]
As she waited for Dal to read her note, she turned in her desk and watched the door to see who all came in so she could be prepared for who was going sit at her partner desk.
Isobel moved her stuff with her and slid into the seat by Satine. "Hey Satine," she greeted. "Mind if I sit here?"
Patroclus was growing into a tall kid, and due to that fact one thing that he really enjoyed about divinations, what that it was held in a tower, and he looooved towers. He slept and studied in one, so being in the divinations room felt very homely.
With a quick glance at the view from the window just outside the classroom, Patroclus entered, a smile on his face, and hop in his step. "Good day Professor Bishop," Patroclus greeted the Professor, in a warm happy tone, "I hope you enjoy your first class with us." It was not just the students that had to enjoy the lesson, the professor should as well! It's only fair!
Heading through the desk, Patroclus spotted two of his favourites, Evelyn and Destiny. Dropping himself down in a desk, he grinned at them and said "Ladies" in the voice of a cool cat.
Bennet was struggling to keep the strap of his bag on his shoulder.
Why. Is. This. Thing. So. Heavy?! Really should have gone back to the common room to drop off some books. He scurried over to an open desk and practically threw the bookbag down on the desktop with a loud 'BANG!!' "Whoops," he muttered to himself as he checked to make sure he didn't crack the desk. Nope. Allllll good.
Bennet plopped himself into a chair almost as roughly as he had plopped his bag on the desk. With a big sigh, Bennet ran his hands through his hair (a habit which emerges with ever-increasing exhaustion.) How many classes am I taking this semester? Evidently too many if I'm this tired already.
Jamie had entered smiled politely and said, "Good day Professor." She sat down in a chair and sighed. she was eager for the class she just wasn't sure if she'd pass.
"Good day, Professor," Rowan said as she entered the room. Looking around, she spotted her new sister sitting alone and walked over to join her. "Fancy meeting you here," she giggled as she sat in the nice comfy seats next to Jamie.
Pandora walked into the classroom and looked around. She thought that it looked a little ordinary for a Divination classroom, but she had also heard that the Professor was new. 'She'll make it her own,' Pandora thought. She walked up to the desk and said, "Hello, Professor. It's nice to meet you." She gave a sweet smile and turned to find a seat.

Pandora noticed a boy sitting by himself. So she went over to talk to him. She walked over and said, "Hi, I'm Pandora Black. May I sit here?"
"Good day, Professor," Rowan said as she entered the room. Looking around, she spotted her new sister sitting alone and walked over to join her. "Fancy meeting you here," she giggled as she sat in the nice comfy seats next to Jamie.
Jamie smiled at her sister and said, "Well I am a first year and I do have to go to classes."

Was it a piece of thread? Yes, but Destiny didn't know that.
"Evelyn! You ripped it's leg off!"
Frown.
Glancing up in alarm at the way her name was being said, the Slytherin stared at Destiny for a moment, trying to understand what in the world she was talking about.
Ripped what's leg off?
Staring at the piece of black thread she had been staring at previously, Evelyn took a deep breath before putting on a rather...amused smile. "No Destiny, you ripped it's leg off."
Bwahaha!

Lets Divine!
Snickering, her gaze moved past her Slytherin friend and to a rather tall boy who just entered the room. Was he ever going to stop growing? She was beginning to actually feel short next to him, and she rarely thought about her own height unless someone brought it up.
"Lemur boy. Looking quite...prefect-y today." she grinned, closing her notebook of doodles and leaning back in her seat as Patroclus sat down near them.
"So are you anxious to get started?" she asked. "I loved Divination last term but we will have to see what this year brings."
"I'm nervous." Jamie said smiling. "I hope that I'll actually understand everything in this class. What did you do last year in this class?"
