Once you arrive to the Divination classroom, you enter to find what looks like a standard classroom setup. Desks arranged in the center of the room, facing Professor Bishop's desk and organized into pairs, look toward a charmed blackboard which currently simply says "Divination Lesson 1" in a graceful cursive. A good-sized bookshelf is against the right-hand wall and contains a large amount of small fabric-wrapped shapes.
Professor Bishop is seated at her desk, writing on something, the wooden box from her office moved to the desk in here, but she's still aware of the room. Don't think she isn't, just because she looks occupied with other things.
Feel free to take a seat, talk quietly, get your things ready and class will start shortly.
Feel free to post your character entering, speaking to each other or the professor. I'll check in when I can, so don't go overboard, and the lesson will begin tomorrow.
Satine didn't really hate classes because well she was a nerd, but a pretty cutie patootie nerd...but back to what she was thinking...she didn't really hate classes but she did dislike Divination. I mean she understood it and followed it and such but she had never really seen much truth in it, but it was a requirement so she headed to class.
When she entered she noticed that desks were paired up. As she walked in searching for a desk she introduced herself to the Professor, "Howzit, Professor. I'm Satine Farris, Sixth Year Ravvie. I hope you had a great break!"
She glanced around the classroom and saw an empty spot beside Dallin and paused for a moment debating if she should sit by him or not. She didn't want to seem needy or annoying so she made the decision to sit at the pair of desks across from him not at the desk paired directly with him. You never knew who might want to sit by her...right...
She sat down and pulled out her rainbow quill that made taking notes more entertaining and a purple notebook with a butterfly on the front of it and set them on her desk.
Satine glanced over at Dal with a smile and then opened her notebook and began writing on the first page. Then she tore the page out and folded it up and passed it to Dallin with a mischievous smile. As she handed it to him, she whispered, "for your eyes only..." with raised eyebrows trying to convince him that it was muy importante.

Howzit! =0]
As she waited for Dal to read her note, she turned in her desk and watched the door to see who all came in so she could be prepared for who was going sit at her partner desk.
Kellen hadn't overly frequented Divination, and rarely thought about it in his free time, but it was for this reason that he figured he should take a seat and get to know it a little better. Why not, right? Final year, no regrets, and all of that. He still couldn't quite bring himself to descend into the Potions classroom though. Something about all his friends ranting... made him want to avoid it just in case he disagreed with them and actually enjoyed himself. It could get awkward.

Things were getting busy fast, which was why he wasn't sure if going to divination would be such a good idea. He was sort of dreading it in all honesty, though each and every class had been it's own little bubble of interesting event, comments and emotions, almost like a mini theme-park ride, some better than others. This class though should prove to be one of the better ones. And if not for the content than for the one person he had been trailing since he started towards the classroom.
It was only when he was inside the room that he caught up to Stern and he wasn't about to waist the opportunity or time. With a grin, and a bit more of a childish attitude than his age suggested he should, he half-jumped onto Kellen's back before sliding off to grab the boy in a brief headlock. "Where have you been?" He tried to eye the Head Boy with a disapproving frown but it didn't have as much weight as the grin on his expression as he released his hold to fix the strap of his backpack on his shoulder.

It said something about Kellen's survival skills that he didn't even hear Sabel coming. Or maybe it was because he wasn't expecting to get tackled in a place of learning. His arms waved around a bit as he exclaimed, "Get...! Nargh!"
Respect for the badge: Sabel Dakest did not have it. Unfortunately, there appeared to be a grin on Kellen's face, and he pointed his finger at Sabel's face, "Demerits will be thrown, Dakest. Thrown."
To demonstrate, he grabbed several invisible demerits out of the air and limp-wristed them at his friend. Reprimand given, he took a seat and slid his backpack off his shoulders, "I was wondering the same about you. After class we go pester the house elves for food and talk, yes?"

Salander trudged up the Divination tower, seemingly in no rush. He remembered how Prof Nolan dropped the bomb during finals last term, so the Slytherin lad knew that its gonna be another new face to replace him, maybe another dude that he couldnt possibly be bothered about.....

Hello!
It took him a moment to realize that he was staring at a hawt brunette seated where Nolan was usually perched, greeting students coming into the classroom. Is this the new Divinations Professor?
"Goodmorning Ma'am" he greeted her as he slid into a seat riiiight by the front. And sat there. Attentive. Almost unblinking.

Laughing, Sabel playfully batted Kellen's hand aside when it was jabbed in his face. To the demerits he simply rolled his eyes, grin ever-present. "If I trusted your throwing skills, that might actually work. And if paper flew better without having to be folded into airplanes."
Moving over to the seat beside Kellen, he flopped himself down and placed his backpack beside the chair. "Busy. Lots of classes, lots of drama --" Wait he wasn't going down that road. "Busy. But catching up sounds like a done deal."
Tilting his head a little, he pulled the sleeve of his shirt over his wrist and gave a spot on Kellen's badge a little rub. "How's Head Boy life treating you?" A slight frown took hold as the spot didn't seem to want to come out. And he didn't think Kellen would appreciate spittle on it. So he took his hand back and went to retrieving his books from his bag.

DIVINATION! Sammy had missed out on Divination for the past two years, but now MWAHAHAHAHA! SHE WAS HERE! No one can stop the insane gifted mind of Sammy Star now. Anywho. She took a seat, somewhere in the middle of all the desks. She was too excited to realise Selena and her dorm buddy were there."Hello Professor" she said happily, with a smile.

It's time for her favorite class. Divination..!!Yaaayyyy..!!
Freya walked towards the Divination classroom with a grin plastered on her face. She couldn't wait for her first Divination lesson this term, too bad that Professor Reynolds wasn't teaching Divination anymore, she really enjoyed his class. She entered the classroom slowly and saw that a few students already there and the new Professor already sitting on her chair. "Hello Professor.." umm..the blonde realize that she didn't know the Professor name. After she greeted the Professor, she settling herself in an empty seat.

Katie walked into the classroom exited, she couldn't remember is she came last year buuut, who cares, Katie smiled as she saw her sister and smiled at her, buut she probably didn't see her so who cares "Hello Professor, how are you?" She asked looking at the professor instead of Sammy.
Emmaleigh hiked all the way up to the divination classroom, and let out a little pant when she reached the door. She was so excited, and yet so nervous about this class. Taking a deep breath, and walked into the room. Seeing a seat at the front of the room, the young Puff headed to it. It was an unusual move for the girl, but since Divinations was one of her favorite classes, she wanted to have fewer distractions. As she sat down, the girl smiled at the lady behind the desk. "Morning Professor."
Brittany walked entered the classroom fairly Quickly. She was dying to have a seat because the journey there was not a short one. She looked at the professor upon entering ang noticed this was yet a new face. so basically it was another teaching style to get use to. She didnt let it bother her though there wasnt anything she could do about it. "Hello Professor." she said as she looked around and spotted her best friend. She walked over and plopped down beside her. "Hi hun." she said letting out a much needed sigh

But as soon as she greeted the snake, she was aware of someone sitting beside her. Turning her head, she smiled as the other girl greeted her. "Hey," whats up?" she asked.

Another one of Mia's favourite classes and another one where there was a new Professor. She had liked Professor Reynolds but oh well this Professor was probably very nice too.
Making her way into the classroom, Mia gave the new Professor a cheery smile. "Good day Professor." It was a shame that she couldn't remember the woman's name.

"Hello." Her eyes drifted up to the girls hair again and Mia smiled. "I really love your hair." Actually it reminded her of Eli, who she had met last year but hadn't seen since. He had been a quirky kid.
Mia pulled out her quill and some parchment and waited patiently.

Kurumi's cheeks turned the color of ripe peaches the moment she entered the classroom. Jake's fake mother was in the front. At least she had gotten the awkward part out of her system at the feast, so there was no need to make a scene now. Just, take a deep breath, walk to the front, say good morning, and find a seat.
"Good morning, Professor Bishop," Kurumi smiled nervously adding a small bow at the end. "I-I-I-It was nice talking with you at the opening feast." She flashed another smile at the professor before turning her head slightly to the side to find a seat.

Adam! It was really nice to see him taking a more active interest in classes at Hogwarts. Waving at him, Kurumi didn't even feel the need to ask for permission and took a seat next to him. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any outbursts this term telling the other students that their dreams were lame. "Look at you, sitting in the front," she teased nudging him softly with her shoulder before setting her textbook, parchment, and quills on the table.

Tyrone was excited. It was time for Divination. He entered the room and nodded in greeting to the Professor before sitting in an empty seat at one of the empty tables. He couldn't wait to see what was going to happen during the lesson. While he had to wait for the lesson to start, Tyrone grabbed a book from his bag and settled back in his seat to read it.

Sebastian walked into the Divination classroom. Oooh yay, another class. Blaghh. Hopefully this one will be better than all the other ones instead of him getting so nervous about embarassing himself in front of people. He watched as the professor seemed to be concentrating on other things as he took a seat. It seemed tough as he knew almost no one here and in his case, he seems to think that if he does things wrong in front of people he doesn't know, well it could be bad. He hoped for the best.
Witsy looked up when she noticed a girl was standing in front of her. "Oh, hey Chris, it's nice seeing you." She smiled and moved some of her stuff indicating for her to join her. "Sure can; how are you?"
Witsy's pocket started making bubbles, oh no, she thought. Popping them with her hands. "I was practicing charms studying the simplest of ones and I saw ones dealing with bubbles my wand backfired" The bubbles started multiplying, "What should I do?" She was hoping Chris would have some idea.
"I'm pretty good. My mind's gone a bit numb from the sudden rush of new information though," she said. Then she noticed the bubbles. She giggled, reaching out and popping a few, wondering what on earth Witsy had done to that wand. "Well, it's a long shot, but maybe just try casting something different. Simple. You're wand's acting like it's stuck on that one charm, so maybe you can distract it with something else. Well besides the fact that your pockets are bubbling, how are you?"
Blue leather bound journal tucked under her arm, Ivory made her way across the seventh floor from the Ravenclaw Common Room, glad that she hadn't been in the Great Hall or anywhere else. Anywhere that entitled climbing more stairs then she had to, especially on a day like today which was sure to be jam packed with classes.
As she approached the classroom door, she paused for a second realizing she hadn't bumped into anyone. Was she early or was she late?
Peeking her head into the Divinition classroom just to see if she'd gotten the right time, she caught a glimpse of the new Professor and gave her a friendly grin. Early it was.
"Morning Professor."
Hopefully, there'd be time for better introductions later but for now she seemed a little engrossed in her work so best to be polite and well mannered and find a seat.
Seeing an empty one near Kellen and Sabel, Ivory plopped herself down and set her journal in front of her mindful of the empty spot next to her. "Hey guys." Leaning forward in her seat, she propped her chin up on her left hand resting her elbow on her desk. Hopefully, Arya would join them. What was a class without her best friend, really.

Taking a seat near the front since it seemed few others were willing to, Katie set her bag at her feet and pulled out the usual class room materials: Parchment for taking notes, a self-inking quill to write the notes with and the textbook itself. With that done and set up, Katie crossed her arms over the book and rested her head on top. Just until class actually started, you know.

Renée had taken the time between setting up the classroom and class beginning to jot down a few more plot ideas for her next book. Normally, she would have tried to just remember everything until she had free time, but she had a feeling her train of thought would shift before then. Especially if students actually appeared. She'd hoped there would be more than just the few students who'd seemed interested earlier, but she'd decided to hold the class either way. She'd get people interested one way or another.
She'd glanced up from the page on her desk briefly as people started filtering in, however. Smile growing as they kept coming, and she found her hopes growing. "Good morning," she said to those who greeted her. "Make yourselves comfortable, and I'll get things started soon," she added, before briefly noting a bit more on her paper.

Looking up again, another amused smile crept onto Renée's face as she saw the familiar figure of Rae, from the feast. Not to mention the expression on the Slytherin's face. "Good morning Miss Skye," she said, somewhat deliberately. The girl could dislike her, and could continue to choose not to speak. She was fine with that, simply because she knew it was just because of Jared. But that wasn't going to stop her from continuing to prove she knew she was there.

Her dark eyes tracked over from Miss Skye as Renée sensed a bit of boredom entering the classroom, and she smiled at the blond boy as he spoke politely. "Good morning,' she replied. "Hopefully you'll find my class is less tiring than you've previously thought." Just an assumption, nothing more, but people who chose to sit at the back usually expected little from class.

Weeeh, class. Divination was one of the only cool or fun ones it seemed. Hehehe. She hoped that they would get nap time...
Renée smiled at the next girl who entered, skipping. The enthusiasm was almost refreshing, even if she couldn't say where it came from. It reminded her a little of herself when she was younger, really. "Good morning," she said in response to the greeting, as the girl made herself comfortable. "I'm doing quite well today." It seemed she wasn't going to get much more written though. Oh well, class should start soon anyway.

Her dark eyes widened slightly as she watched a boy literally trip into her classroom, but Renée remained quiet until he spoke. She watched as he righted himself, however. She just didn't want to step in if it could be taken wrongly. "Good morning," she replied as he settled into his seat. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Brooks, and I'm happy to hear that." There were still too many people who looked down on the subject as a bunch of guesswork and smoke and mirrors. At least he seemed to have recovered from his near miss.

"Hello, Professor," he greeted, taking a seat a few rows from the front, in the middle. "I'm Dallin McKinley." he added with a bright, I'mma Good Kid smile.
A dark eyebrow raised infinitesimally as Renée saw the silent shudder of the Ravenclaw boy who entered. There was definitely a bit of curiosity as to where that had come from, but she wasn't about to call him out in front of the others in class. Perhaps later, although the smile she gave him as he spoke was just as curious. That smile could be a ruse, and she wasn't about to take it for granted as otherwise. "Good morning, Mr. McKinley," she replied instead, simply. Setting her pen down finally as she decided she wasn't going to get much more work done.

There was also a part of him that felt curiosity at the thought of having this woman as a Professor. There was something about her...he was simply curious.
The boy straightened himself and sighed, then announced his entrance with a simple "Morning, Professor," and made his mind go blank. He didn't want any memories from when Nolan was here to be in his mind...or he'll break down in class.
He took a seat, not at the front like he used to. He took nothing out of his bag either.
She had thought there was somebody standing just outside the door, and Renée smiled as it proved to be Mr Lockhart. opening the wooden box, she slid her papers inside as he greeted her, noting the neutrality of the words as she watched him. "Good morning, Mr Lockhart. You seem to have come to a conclusion or two," she commented idly, but still welcoming, latching the box and settling back into her chair as she smiled again. Perhaps he'd figured out a few more things, as she found amusement in how he'd cleared his mind, or possibly he just didn't want another situation.

Text Cut: Note (just Satine being herself)
Howzit! =0]
As she waited for Dal to read her note, she turned in her desk and watched the door to see who all came in so she could be prepared for who was going sit at her partner desk.
As the next girl entered, Renée was both surprised and not surprised by the brightness. Of the girl's hair, of her demeanor. It seemed there were all kinds at Hogwarts, which was the exciting part of the Wizarding world. Along with the many things that could be learned. "Good morning, Miss Farris. Pleasure to meet you, and in fact my break was quite lovely," she replied with a smile, watching as Satine seemed to go through some consideration as to where she should sit. And as she chose, Renée kept watching. It seemed the bright girl knew Dallin, at least. "Be careful with the note passing. You don't want to risk the wrong person getting hold of them," she warned, before going back to waiting for others to arrive.

.... or so he thought as he walked into the classroom.
Another bit of amusement went through Renée as she noticed the next arrival to the classroom. Or, the student, who appeared to be a Slytherin, seemed to notice her. Interesting, going back to Miss Skye and her resentment. Seemed Slytherin was the place for that type of response. As he slid into one of the front desks, she fought to not laugh as she remembered the feast again. it seemed there was the possibility Professor Descoteaux wasn't the only one who gained the attention of students. He just got them first. "Good morning," she replied, still choosing to simply be amused by the way the boy was staring. Even as it could be just this side of creepy to others. "I appreciate the respect, but 'ma'am' makes me feel old. I'd prefer Professor Bishop," she said with a little grin. If they were continuing the respect issue.

Renée bit back another grin as the next girl arrived shortly after she'd spoken to the Slytherin boy, silently asking for her name. if she'd been just a few seconds earlier, that might not have been a question, but she wasn't abotu to begrudge the girl. "Bishop. Professor Bishop," she supplied, "and good morning to you as well, Miss Salvatore. You seem excited." She wasn't against a bit of prying for basic information.

Renée's amusement faltered a little as she watched the next young girl enter, smiling at another girl before apparently deciding against it. There had seemed to be excitement moments before, but now she felt a pang of sympathy. "Good morning. I'm quite well," she replied, giving her a smile. At least she would pay attention. "How are you?," she added, continuing her choice of being polite. At least there was time before the lesson. She thought she'd let more people make their way up before starting.

And as she'd decided to let people continue to filter in, Renée looked toward the door as she heard another person arriving. "Good morning Miss Hollingberry," she said to the Gryffindor from the feast, charmed by the apparent continued nervousness. She was going to get the girl to relax before long, especially as she wasn't offended by the mistake from the summer. "It was nice. I hope you're getting more into the swing of things." Relaxing and all. She hoped the girl didn't retain her embarrassment for too long. At least she seemd to have a friend in the lesson, as she watched Kurumi take a seat next to another Gryffindor boy. She was really going to have to learn everyone's names.

I just wanted to take the time to tell you that I am looking forward to your class. My name is Selina. I'll be taking my seat then." She said bowing her head in respect one last time before she say at a table and saved the other two seats for Elektra and Violet.
When she sat down she pulled out a piece of parchment, her self correcting ink, and a phoenix feather pen. She was ready.
Violet walked into the classroom seeing other students already there. She saw the Professor in front of the room and she smiled walking up to her gracefully. Violet continued smiling as she said politely,"Hello Professor Bishop, my name is Violet Le Veela. I'm sure I'll be learning a lot of new things in this class and I'm very excited." She then smiled at her again before turning and seeing her best friend Selina. Violet quickly walked over to her taking a seat right next to her, pulling out her book, ink, and pen. "Good morning Selina! How excited are you about Divination?" She giggled as she played with her a hair a little bit.
Cass entered the room and looked around. Divination really isn't her fave subject...but if she planned on being one of the best students in Slytherin...then she had to take divination as well..
She walked towards the table and said with a smile. "Good day Professor." Then she turned around and walked over to a vacant seat.
Emily walked into divination.
She wasn't 100% sure why she was here, Divination sounded a lot like guesswork to her. Not the kind of magic she was into! But her sister had told her to try every subject before she decided to drop any, so here she was.
"Good day Professor" she said polietly, taking a seat at the back of the room. She may not like the subject but she still wanted to make a good impression.
Cedric laboriously paved his way to the tower, quite unwillingly, and now stood on the threshold of the Divination classroom. He was somewhat hesitant to enter further into the room which was, quite an addition to his already mountain-high hesitation of doing so, already full of students. It wasn't like he had actually done something wrong, for as far he knew, the adult at Jake's party was the new Divination professor. But he just so wondered if he had made a bad impression to the new professor when he met her at the party. Guh, he was being silly. Definitely. 'Are you nervous?' or 'You're nervous' couldn't exactly mean he'd done or showed something wrong. Oh. Silly him.
It was after a moment when Cedric shrugged the 'silly' thought away (yes, he decided the thought itself was silly. Totally not him). And so he walked into the room, his hands on his pockets, and eyes glancing round the room casually. Then his gaze fell upon the woman. "Hello ma'am," he greeted, and then noticed Treyen... looking a bit gloomy unlike his usual self. He walked toward Trey, flopped down on the seat beside him, and offered, "Hey Trey. How's life treatin' you?" For it was treating him... a bit too wickedly.
Why not start at the classrooms at the top of the school and work his way down? That was Gevrik's plan, at least for now, to occupy his time at the school investigating its...security issues. Of course he would diverge from this plan here and there as he saw fit but for now...
The Divination tower was just one of many on his list.
Naturally the Astronomy tower held more significance from a historical standpoint but Gevrik had been roaming both towers for some time now, in his usual manner of being one hundred percent invisible. He had come to the conclusion that the Divination tower and its contents were of more interest to his goals.
Today he entered Renée Bishop's classroom before it became too full and was currently lounging against one of the walls, as a silent, impartial and still invisible observer.
It was the professor who held his focus, for now, not the students. They could not see him anyway but if she was as...clairvoyant as he suspected, then perhaps she would understand his honest intentions and reasons for remaining out of the way.
For now.

Having known that this was Josh's favorite class, the Slytherin found herself glaring and giving a huff as she made it to the last step at the top of the stairs. Yes, she was going to Divination, because it was her boyfriend's favorite class. So her boyfriend better be here! She didn't climb those stairs for nothing.
Rolling her shoulders, Evelyn eyed the room as she sat down in a random seat near the back. This may have been Josh's favorite class, but she had a tendency of falling asleep in it. Obviously, she wasn't going to fall asleep in the front. Seriously, she wasn't a Hufflepuff.
Pausing for a moment as she got out her notebook and quill, it took her a moment to realize that... MEEP! "Good...good day, Professor." she said, stumbling to stand up from her seat to say hello to the professor and making a tiny bit of ruckus. Eh, she could blame it on seeing a spider or something. Merlin, she had forgotten to greet the Professor in potions and Lafay looked like she was going to hex her. Who knew what this professor would do!
