Because the Headmaster has no use for a second office, he has re-purposed this room for an entirely different use. The room is larger than it should be; the fact that Tate reduced a wall into an adjoining room is obvious by the fact that his ‘office’ has two doors along the same long wall. Rather than leaving an empty office or reinventing the standard dueling area, the room now serves as a training facility for those with an interest in Defense and Defense related careers: Aurors, Hit Wizards, and the International Task Force (among others).

The two windows in the room face out over an inner courtyard and let in tree-filtered light throughout the day. Beside one such window, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves have been stuffed full of countless Defense texts. The titles range from ancient tomes in spidery indecipherable scripts to glossy hardcovers featuring some of the premiere Defensive authors of the day. The long table is conducive for transcribing notes from the various books, but there are also a few deep chairs pushed together for general reading or quiet conversation. There is a sign posted on the bookshelf.

Along the opposite wall, leading from the far door halfway to the window, Tate has set up various pieces of exercise equipment, intending for those interested in pursuing a Defensive career to develop themselves physically as well as mentally. Between the two windows sit a series of padded dummies, perfect for any dueling practice needed for class or just to be used in the process of learning new spells. Drag one or two out and practice. Either of the windows onto the courtyard may be opened and, weather permitting, training can extend into this open space. Try not to kill and trees or squirrels in the process.

What did he just do?

Helena was about to say 'okay' or something, but one moment later she was up, suddenly grabbed by Benjamin, his arm being around her. She giggled. "I can still walk." It was a bit odd, but she took back her arm, the one he had wrapped around him, and smiled. "Okay. You win. But you have no idea how afraid I am of healers."

Althought that fact was true Legend still doubted Sabel's abilities as an Auror. The dude was skilled, he juts needed more drive. Legend grinned, he'd push him. "So what? Do you actually want to be an Auror?" You had your work cut out for you then buddy.

"Round Tw-Petrificus Totalus." The blond smirked as he send the curse flying toward Sabel. What? He HAD agreed.

Raven nodded to JP. He is thinking all spell, is like a battle of wish and intentions. now, now for the practical method.

Raven move the wand flick it snappy and "Stupefy" a small spark is noticeable in the tip of Raven's wand but the dummy isn't move even a slight inch. Heh, as always you didn't do it at first try. Raven inner self say --concentrate --the will, the intentions --it's the key.

Raven's tries again this time, there is a huge intention to stun who else may be moving.
He do the wand flick and say almost a shout "Stupefy" there is a blast on the tip of the wand and hit the dummy, and the dummy flew backward but not long enough, it fall after a reasonable distant. Raven grin, he do it, not best but better than before.

then he watch JP and Rowan to the more complex spell they trying to practice. He think of what he over heard, the happiness may produce powerful spell specially to what they called Patronus charm. Raven wish to study it, but he knew also maybe he didn't get it in the next two or three years of magical education.

"Brilliant Raven! you did amazingly! Accio Dummy!"
It appeared before them again.
"Now, would you like to try something else of practice this one again?"
JP was very proud of Raven and his abilities!

"Thanks," she said. Rowan again thought about the memory of her parents. Letting the happiness of the memory fill her up again, she took a deep breathe and said, "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" "Eating is a great idea," she said. "I hadn't even noticed how hungry I am. Guess I was too excited. Where shall we go to eat?" Rowan asked.

"Okay, I'll do it again" Raven say while he prepare for another go. he make the wand flick as natural he can be. then he say loudly "Stupefy" there is a light skip in his wand, hitting the dummy, and is it suddenly flew toward the other side of the room.

Raven think that is enough for now, he will continue training that spell as he go along studying magic.

"how about the other spell, the Protego, JP --do you think I'm ready casting it. Would you give me a orientation and show me how --please" Raven say it smiling. Raven choose to be honest, it will make him better, than saying he knew the protego but didn't did it right.

He didn't stay long though, rolling onto his side and flicking his wand twice at the boy's feet. "Aguamenti!" The other was a freezing charm sent right after. Hopefully he could somehow trap Legend's feet in a puddle of ice; the boy was at least wearing boots.

"Now, Protego is a bit like stupefy. The theory behind it is kind of simple. Depending on the instance protego can either deflect hexes and such, it can reverse the effects of certain spells and lastly create sort of impermeable shield that prevents physical traverse. The reversal of spells is kinda hard to explain. Think of it in the instance of harry potter during his privet lessons in occlumency. Protego cause the spell to back fire of Snape and thus allowed access to his mind for harry. Basically with this spell you flick your wand and say protego and it appears. I believe we need to get supervision to try it out on each other so let me get the headmasters approval first."
JP called over to the headmaster to try and get his attention

"Okay, that is best" He say.

"Ok well while we wait for the headmaster. We can practice protego in a different manner. The way in which we shall do it right now will be to in a sort of barricade type of thing. Now i am going to cast protego and when i do you will try and walk past my wand through the shield that is produced. Are you ready?"

Raven watch careful the casting of the protego, seem simple but he saw JP trying it hard to keep it. meaning it easy to watch than to perform, hehe.

Raven is walking trying to past in like a shield of likely light. but he didn't do it he totally blocked by it.

"your shield is tough thought as expected to a Ravenclaws" Raven said

He never did get to hear Sabel's answer. Shame, it would be important to know if the guy actually did want to be an Auror. His spell had been so close! But at least he succeed in getting making the other boy land in the snow. Again.

Woah. Somehow Legend had gotten distracted and in an instant his feet were soaked. "Bombarda!" Legend yelled, his spell hitting the other charm right on causing icicles to explode into the air. Legend's list of spells were running thin. So it was always good to go back to the classics! "Expelliarmus!" He said, actually pointing his wand at his opponent this thing, and just for safe measure he picked up and snowball and threw it.

"OK." Raven replied.

Raven flicked his wand down and say "Protego" his wand produce some likely smoke and definitely not a shield.

Once more.

Raven flicked his wand and loudly say "Protego" another failure, Remember, need to concentrate to make a shield.

Raven do it again "Protego" almost shout, and a wisp of light erupted from his wand and surround Raven body but this can't long, vanish in about 10 second.

He stop, he need suggestion...

"Good one mate!" A slight grin caught Sabel's lips at the other boy's deflection of his spell, his own wand darting up to cast another shield about himself.

He didn't however account for the snowball and was once again rewarded with cold snow to the face. Yicky, wetness. More wetness. But there wasn't time to wipe the discomfort off as he flicked his wand once again. "Confundo!" Followed by another quick movement for a silent casting of the jelly-fingers charm.
