Because the Headmaster has no use for a second office, he has re-purposed this room for an entirely different use. The room is larger than it should be; the fact that Tate reduced a wall into an adjoining room is obvious by the fact that his ‘office’ has two doors along the same long wall. Rather than leaving an empty office or reinventing the standard dueling area, the room now serves as a training facility for those with an interest in Defense and Defense related careers: Aurors, Hit Wizards, and the International Task Force (among others).

The two windows in the room face out over an inner courtyard and let in tree-filtered light throughout the day. Beside one such window, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves have been stuffed full of countless Defense texts. The titles range from ancient tomes in spidery indecipherable scripts to glossy hardcovers featuring some of the premiere Defensive authors of the day. The long table is conducive for transcribing notes from the various books, but there are also a few deep chairs pushed together for general reading or quiet conversation. There is a sign posted on the bookshelf.

Along the opposite wall, leading from the far door halfway to the window, Tate has set up various pieces of exercise equipment, intending for those interested in pursuing a Defensive career to develop themselves physically as well as mentally. A punching bag is suspended from the ceiling in the corner, sitting beside a stand of free weights and other odds and ends, mats and exercise balls and the like. Stretching along the remainder of the space to the window is an enormous climbing wall, complete with hand and foot holds all the way up to the ceiling. There are no ropes, but the floor is generously cushioned with a charm.

Between the two windows sit a series of padded dummies, perfect for any dueling practice needed for class or just to be used in the process of learning new spells. Drag one or two out and practice. Either of the windows onto the courtyard may be opened and, weather permitting, training can extend into this open space. Try not to kill and trees or squirrels in the process.

Raven saw a Ravvie look like he need a practice buddy, why not, Raven here need to practice spell casting.

"Hey, I just notice you, -practicin' by your self, wanna care for a double practing, will you lend me a hand here" Raven greeted the Claws

It worked. Surprisingly. The pressure was lifted and the ropes slid off. They had been there only for a few seconds but it felt like forever. "Sabel. Not nice-Everte Statum." He said the words quickly as he flicked his wrist. Simple payback.

He wasn't concentrating on the next spell. Wasn't even considering defending himself. The pain that had registered on Legend's expression had brought him to an abrupt halt and standstill, his wand lowered and his body moving forward to make sure the boy was okay. He hadn't meant the spell to be painful or hurtful, but perhaps he was used to a heavier style of dueling.

Danika's words about pausing for one's opponent came rushing back to him as the spell left Legend's wand at the same time a question about whether he was alright or not had begun to leave his lips. All the air he had been about to offer into the words was knocked out of him as the spell compacted against his chest, sending him flying backwards a few feet and sprawling on the snow covered ground.

The second time the wind had been knocked out of him. Not good.

JP looked down at the newly formed mice then realized the gryffindor speaking to him. "Oh, hello there! " Jp stood up to greet the new person speaking to him. "Yeah sure. What do you need help with" He said with a smile.

Rowan excitedly entered the training room. She couldn't believe that she was finally going to start learning the patronus charm. She looked around the room for JP and saw that he was helping another student. She decided to have a look through the books while she waited.

Woah. Legend took a couple of deep breath's still getting used to his normal breathing. He hadn't expected for Sabel to just stand there. If the boy had just done something, the spell wouldn't have even been that powerful.

"You alright man?" Legend took a couple steps forward in Sabel's direction still, hesitant. If this were a trick he could be attacked at any moment. Yet...the other boy could have just been hurt.

After all he was just standing there when he attacked him. That meant he was trying to see if he was alright, right?

Let start with stupefy first Raven say simple, this Claw is very kind. Raven drew his wand, it obvious practicing a spell need wand --no book needed.

When the air finally re-entered his lungs, Sabel couldn't help but laugh. Roll over onto his side and look up with Legend in pure amusement. He was going to be ridiculously soaked after this, especially given the extra handfuls of snow that had just been unceremoniously shoved down his back.

"I was worried about you." Shaking his head a little he pushed himself back to his feet, brushing off the snow as he gave the boy a sideways glance. "That binding looked like it had you in a bit of pain." All at once the humor was gone, replaced by serious concern. "Are you okay? I didn't intend for the casting to hurt." Then again, thanks to his experience with Danika, he had learned duels weren't very innocent when one got down to business.

"Ok. Stupefy isn't too hard at all. You basically just flick your wand and say the incantation. Focus and it should work in theory. Now something else to take note of is that your intent changes what this charm does. It could knock someone unconscious, send them flying backward, freeze them in place or knock someone down. What happens Kinda also depends on the skill of the caster as well. So watch me and then you can do it as well." JP stepped back a bit. "Step back." He told Raven. He pointed his wand at the dummy. To quote the great Remus Lupin "A Patronus is a kind of positive force, and for the wizard who can conjure one, it works something like a shield, with the Dementor feeding on it, rather than him. In order for it to work, you need to think of a memory. Not just any memory, a very happy memory, a very powerful memory… Allow it to fill you up... lose yourself in it... then speak the incantation "Expecto Patronum".. That being said, a full fledge patronus can only be produced by a very STRONG happy memory. It will only stay with you for as long as you stay focused. Once you loose the focus then the patronus will no longer exist. The patronus itself is made up entirely of positive energy so any negative feeling you might have will make it even harder to produce to corporeal patronus. First thing you have to do is think of a memory. Make is the strongest, happiest memory you can think of. Make sure it fills you up inside and consumes you completely. "

Raven nodded to JP. He is thinking all spell, is like a battle of wish and intentions. now, now for the practical method.

Raven move the wand flick it snappy and "Stupefy" a small spark is noticeable in the tip of Raven's wand but the dummy isn't move even a slight inch. Heh, as always you didn't do it at first try. Raven inner self say --concentrate --the will, the intentions --it's the key.

Raven's tries again this time, there is a huge intention to stun who else may be moving.
He do the wand flick and say almost a shout "Stupefy" there is a blast on the tip of the wand and hit the dummy, and the dummy flew backward but not long enough, it fall after a reasonable distant. Raven grin, he do it, not best but better than before.

then he watch JP and Rowan to the more complex spell they trying to practice. He think of what he over heard, the happiness may produce powerful spell specially to what they called Patronus charm. Raven wish to study it, but he knew also maybe he didn't get it in the next two or three years of magical education.

Okay. She told him to practice only the wand movement but it seemed like he already knew the spell. She looked from the dummy he had just disarmed to Benjamin. "Mind if I try?" Helena asked, pointing her wand to another dummy. Wand movement and... "Expelliarmus," she said, but it came out almost as a whisper. But at least the wand flew gently out of its hand.

She smiled more to herself, then turned around to face Benjamin again. "Okay, so you're a fast learner. That makes my job easy." Another spell. "What do you say about... the Stunning spell?" She turned around once again to a dummy. "You just have to point your wand at your target, then... Stupefy."

"And done."

Oh no, Rowan thought to herself. One thing she was short on was happy memories. She frowned a bit, trying to think of one really happy moment. Her letter from Hogwarts? Nah. Mostly that frightened her as she thought she was being sent to another orphanage. "OH! She exclaimed! I think I have one. Do I tell you what it is or do I just focus on it?" she asked JP.

"It's completely up to you Rowan. If you feel as though your memory is strong enough you don't have to. If you think i could possibly help gage the memory to see if it is , then by all means share it." JP half smiled at her excited to see what she could do.

"Okay then," she said. "Here goes." She thought about her parents and her favorite memory. Starting to feel the joy she had felt back then, she focused on that felling, allowing the joy to fill her completely, not realizing that the happiness was making her hair turn pink. Grasping her wand firmly, she said "EXPECTO PATRONUM" as forcefully as she could. To her surprise, a slight wisp appeared at the end of her wand and then she let her focus slip. "Geez, is that it?" she asked, never having seen her own patronus and feeling a bit disappointed.

"That binding looked like it had you in a bit of pain." All at once the humor was gone, replaced by serious concern. "Are you okay? I didn't intend for the casting to hurt." Then again, thanks to his experience with Danika, he had learned duels weren't very innocent when one got down to business.

Legend let out a breath of relief as Sabel began to laugh. Alright he was okay. "I thought so but I realized that a little too late!" You know, after he had attacked him and realized that his fellow Lion had just been standing there. Legend grinned, alright they were both okay.

"It was really tight." He nodded his head. But he had expected it. When that spell was done right, ouch. "Yeah I'm fine! It's just a duel man!" Legend chuckled. "No offense but, you'd make a terrible Auror." Sabel was just too...caring. Yes. "Still wanna go?" His wand twirled in his fingers, ready for whatever decision they would make.

Oh God, he noticed her. Why? Boys don't notice. Nothing. Never.

So it was pointless to lie, if he already noticed that she looked paler... than usual. "Not really... My head is about to explode and I don't know why. It's the second time already." Uhhh she hated being in the center of attention, even if it was only Benjamin. "You stay here and practice, I'll go to the Hospital Wing," she smiled, not sure where to look.
