Corridor outside Professor Bishop's Office In the corridor immediately outside of Professor Bishop's office, two comfortable looking chairs sit, flanking a large potted plant. They are placed there so students can feel comfortable while waiting for entry. Feel free to talk to friends or whoever else may be waiting, and you will be asked inside as soon as possible. Provided the professor is in her office at the time, but you may as well feel comfortable either way. ooc: Please post yourself in here knocking on the office door, before getting involved in anything else, conversation-wise and the like. That will be the post I respond to to let you into the office. |
Emily moved up the Corridor and stopped at proffessor Bishop's office. ANother year another bout of talking to the divination proffessor. TIP TIP TIP Emily used a single knuckle to knock on the door and then she waited patiently. |
Preston loved Divination, or well he enjoyed the way it was taught the previous year. He had some how gotten the hang of the class and decided to stick with it once again during his second year. Preston walked up to the door and stood there for a moment before giving the door a couple of knocks with his knuckles before he turned around and took a seat in one of the chairs. Slouching down in the chair, Preston let his head lean back and rest on the back of the chair. He gave a small sigh as he waited, the chair was ever so comfortable. |

Slight grin coming onto her face as she thought that, she finally made her way to the tower only to see that she'd apparently been beat there. Amused grin turning into one of a more friendly aspect, she stopped for a moment to regard the two young students waiting. "Hi there. You don't waste much time, do you?," she asked both of them with a soft laugh. Obviously she wasn't offended by their interest. Especially the Hufflepuff, as he had to have actually made quite the trek to visit. Taking her wand out and tapping the lock on the door, she turned back to them with one hand on the doorknob. "Feel free to come in," she added, slightly tilting her head toward the wood as she heard some scrabbling inside. Obviously Bowie was still awake, so hopefully neither student had a problem with crup puppies. Either way, she made sure to precede them inside, nudging her pet away with a foot as she held the door open. ooc: feel free to post inside the office thread now. ;) Remember to follow the rules, of course. |
Finally, she had made it all the way up to the tower where Divination took place. The climb was a lot harder than she remembered. All those stairs had been one of the few things she hadn't missed during the summer. Seeing the door to the professor's office ahead, the young girl walked up to it. She knocked thrice and then took a seat in one of comfy chairs. |

Selina was panicking. After what had happened in Divination today she needed answers. She was scared that something was wrong with her. Ever since she had gotten to Hogwarts she had had these feelings that things were going to happen and then they would. Then today in Divination when they were pulling out the cards for readings she saw and image flash in her head of the Temperance card. Then like magic she flipped over the card and it was the Temperance card. Things were getting weird. She needed to talk to Bishop and ask her if what was happening to her was normal. It was freaking her out. So she knocked at the door and waited. |

Thank you for waiting ^_^ After the last couple visits to her office, Renée had understandably been a little wary of knocks to her door. She still knew she could handle those who disliked her, and Miss Stone barging in before meant it wasn't like she had to be nervous about knocks, but she'd still spent less time in her office than usual. However, right now she'd been inside, working on letters and the like while Bowie slept. It was a lot easier dealing with work when she didn't have a bouncy crup puppy asking for attention. At the knocks, she'd gone quietly to the door and after a moment to make sure the noise hadn't woken the puppy, she poked her head out to smile at the four girls waiting outside. "Hi there," she said in a friendly voice, still keeping it lower than usual however, before holding the door open carefully. "Thank you for waiting. You're welcome to come in, if you like. All of you at once is fine, if you don't mind the company. I'm sure we can find things to do if you;d like privacy though." At the least, four new people in the office ought to attract the attention of Anastasia, or wake up Bowie. And the puppy could definitely be distracting. |
Kurumi wasn't sure what made her arrive at Professor Bishop's office, yet, here she was with her latest batch of cookies in a small box under her left arm and Walnut following close behind. Seeing an open chair, Kurumi went to sit on it, but was beaten to it by Walnut. "You could scoot over a bit you know," she said putting her right hand on her hip. Ignoring Walnut's obnoxious purring, Kurumi knocked on the door and waited for Professor Bishop to answer. Her thoughts suddently went to Selina and the conversation they had had the other day. It really got Kurumi thinking about all types of special abilities out there. |
feel free to post in the office next. ^_^ Quote:
Opening the door, she smiled as she saw Kurumi standing outside, although she sent an amused glance toward the cat curled up on the chair purring. "Well this is a lovely surprise, Kurumi," she responded, indicating that the Gryffindor was welcome to come in with a nod of her head. "What brings you over here?" It wasn't extraordinarily far, given her common room was in the towers as well, but she imagined that this wasn't exactly a random visit. Most students didn't just show up at their professors' offices without one question or another. |
Well, yes, Treyen was slightly nervous, he had mixed feelings about coming here in the first place, and even more about stepping inside her office. But he ought to deal with this sooner or later. It was better if it was sooner, though he should've come right after the first lesson. Either way, the boy knocked on the door...and was about to sit on one of the chairs, but decided against it. He'll wait...standing. He didn't feel like sitting just yet. |
To get things started before lessons take priority. ;) Quote:
Opening the door, she raised an eyebrow slightly at the sight of Treyen standing outside, before glancing back as she heard a quiet woof. Returning her attention to the Hufflepuff, she smiled. "It's good to see you, Treyen. Did you have something to speak with me about?," she asked, still a bit curious as it couldn't be said they'd had the best interactions before now. "I was about to go out and take a walk in the grounds, but if you'd rather come inside, it can wait a bit." Bowie would just have to run around inside for a bit longer. |
SPOILER!!: Haaaiiii Ack! The door was opening! The door was opening! And...Treyen wanted to run away before she could see him, but it was already too late. And he had to do this, anyway. The boy kind of peeked in at the sound of a 'woof'. What did she have in there?? A puppy? But wait...good to see him? Exactly...how? From their previous experience this woman must not be too thrilled to see him. By now, Treyen was sort of playing with the right sleeve of his robes, and couldn't possibly make a sound. He straightened himself first, and then kind of sighed. "Actually, I sort of did," and what? He doesn't want to, now? "I...," yes, dear child? "I could walk with you if you don't have the time," he nodded, and tried to peek in again. Though, he really didn't feel like seeing the office. |
hmm, corridor and eventually to the grounds? Or office? You choose. :P Quote:
She smiled as he veered away from whatever topic he'd been getting at, though. "It's not so much that I don't have the time. I was going to take Bowie for a walk," she explained, opening the door a bit more and letting the crup puppy peek out more. She always had time for the students. "If whatever you needed can be discussed while he joins us, you're welcome to come along and nobody will have to wait. But if you'd rather keep things private, I'd suggest we stay here." The likelihood of there being others in the grounds was high, and that they might listen in. But if he was willing to let her continue her original plan, she wouldn't turn it down. |
office *nods* we're being mean to the crup. Quote:
...but fear not! He remembered. At last. Ooooooh, a crup! A little crup! Treyen couldn't help to smile, and then his eyebrows knitted together as soon as he heard Bishop speak again. "As much as I wouldn't want to get in Bowie's way," he said, and yes, he used the crup's name, "I think I'd rather not go to the Grounds," yes, please? What if Ellie saw him in there with Bishop? There was no way it could turn out good, right? |
office it is, then. ^_^ feel free to post inside next. Quote:
And as she saw him notice the cruppy, a faint smile crept onto her face. It seemed her pets were working their magic, and the smile only grew as Treyen spoke again. "I wouldn't worry too much about getting in his way," she replied. No, Bowie was pretty much the type who could get by with whatever he was given, as long as some attention was part of that. Waiting a bit longer for a walk wouldn't cause too much trouble. "And okay," she added, taking a few steps backward and back into her office, the crup turning to trot back inside as well as he understood things were going to wait. "Why don't you come in then, and we can have a little talk?," she concluded, still holding the door open for him to enter. Something told her she had an inkling of why he wanted to avoid the grounds, but that would hopefully be confirmed whenever he established his reason for trekking up here. |
Holding his cup tightly as if it could run away if he had eased his grip on it, Josh rushed into the corridor that led to Professor Bishop's office. He was not sure if Evelyn was following him since he had forgotten to look back while running there for his mind had been too busy with what to do with the list in his pocket. Well...he could not think of any way to destroy it without drawing any extra attention on himself so maybe it was better for him that he kept it there, safe in his pocket. Once he realised that he had arrived there, the Gryffindor boy stopped right at the door and knocked on it three times. Hear me Professor Bishop! It's the Master of Everything visiting you! Then he took a step back his gaze meeting that flame figure in the cup. Maybe he could just destroy it with a little move of his finger. Yeah. That was a way...buuut on the other hand it could ruin the whole reading for him and he'd never know if he had a quest ahead. Ooor maybe he had read the wrong meaning on the list. Yes! Yes! Yes! He definitely read the wrong meaning. That should have been the case! So, right after checking the corridor for people, he took the list out his pocket as he saw that he was alone there...yet. Good. Now to find the meaning of that...fire... Pffff...no! He was never that lucky. It was still there and it was still the same! *groan* Was not this the magical world? Why could not it just change itself?! The lion boy unholstered his wand and started to poke the piece of parchment with it. Turn into something else...or just vanish...go away! |
Having packed her things up, rolling her eyes once the Gryffindor had ditched her for the Professor, Evelyn stood and left the classroom, though she was quite curious what the lines in her cup meant. And not having the parchment that listed the meanings with her, that only meant she too had to...go to the Professor's office. Eh. Backtracking her steps, the Slytherin sighed and headed towards the Professor's office, not surprised to see Josh already there. However, what caught her attention was.... "Is that my parchment?" she asked, looking around him to see what he was holding? Was that the parchment with the list at all? Hmmm? It looked like it. |
*poke...poke...poke...poke...poke...poke* C'mon! He was a wizard, was not he? He was. So, the parchment had to obey him! Behave yourself parchment! However no matter how much he had poked it with his wand, the words that needed to be destroyed still remained there. Even, for a moment, the boy thought, now, they were bigger than the other words on the paper. No way! Yet it was a relief for him to see after blinking a couple of times that they were the same as the other words. Great. Now his eyes had decided to play with him. Anyway... If the words were that stubborn and happy with the place they had on the parchment, why did not he just destroy the whole parchment? Well...this idea seemed a little bit mean to him but the words had left him no other way. If only he had another way. Incendio would do that job efficiently, yep, it would. So, the lion boy was about to cast the 'fire' spell when he had heard footsteps approaching followed by...a question voiced by that certain she-snake. A question that made him shiver inwardly. Quickly, looking up at the Slytherin girl, Josh managed to put an innocent smile on his face while tucking it back in his pocket. ''No, it's...it's my shopping list for the summer break!'' That was what had escaped his mouth. Shopping list? Seriously? As if he did shopping and cared about a list of it anyway. |
lol you two xD (I'm heading to bed after this, but head into the office thread) It had taken a moment to make sure she had everything gathered up, not to mention the quick counterspell to return the cafe tables to their original desk form, but Renée arrived at the door to her office just in time. At least, she walked up to see Josh poking at the list with his wand, and Evelyn questioning him. She'd forgotten that she'd locked her office door before heading to the classroom, but she grinned as she headed past to unlock it with her wand, box still under her arm. "You regularly prod at shopping lists with your wand, Josh?," she asked, keeping her tone innocent yet curious. he could stick his own foot in his mouth. She wouldn't outright reveal his theft before he did. Either way, she held the door open as she waited for the two to move things inside, glancing inside only to make sure her crup puppy wasn't about to make a run for it. "After you," she continued, still smiling. If she was lucky, this visit would consist of a simple check of his cup. She had a feeling it wouldn't be that simple, though. Amusing, but not simple. It seemed things never were, but he wouldn't have needed to deal with the questions if he hadn't taken the list in the first place. |
