walking over to Em he goes past a girl in a cat costume that had just wiped out stoping to give her a hand up " well that one of you 9 live lost" pointing his wand at the tail "reparo"watching the tail sort it self out but still bent at an odd angle on the very end " I had a cat like that once.. but Yall might want to swap around unless yall both left leg dominate"

"Aghhhhh.." Ella made a noise of pure annoyance, irritation... and slight pain! D:

The impact was much greater because she had dragged Sierra along with her. Whoops. She scrambled back to her feet, pulling the younger girl up with her. Maybe this three-legged race wasn't so exciting after all. "Sorryyyy." She was frustrated with herself, then she remembered that Sierra said something about wanting the rope loosened before they fell. So she crouched down SLOWLY this time, and loosened it.

"There. Is that alright?" She asked just to make sure, before continuing, "let's get this over with." She sighed, then her free leg took a step forward, but oh wait.. "We are ready, professor." PHEW, she remembered that the teacher asked to let her know. She she did so.

What lesson were they in again? OH YEAH, care of magical creatures...??

She knew him? Jacob never met Mia before... Unless... NO! Its Not Dementia! "I wish I could say the same for you... I can't even remember breakfast, so don't be offended" Wait Jacob didn't have breakfast... or maybe he had eggs and bacon... what ever.

Jacob waited for Mia to return with the rope, and after she tied it, Jacob stood up. But the gorilla suit threw him off balance, but Jacob caught himself, hopefully Mia won't fall from that. "If I'd known we were going to be doing this, I would have worn something lighter" he said... or heavier, if he wanted to get out of doing it.

"I think we should stop thinking." Emily laughed "Yeah, we'll have two stronger legs on the outside then."
Emily put her left leg next to Nikas right then tied them together.
"Not too tight?" she asked Nika laughing and holding her arm, as not to fall over. "Are we ready?"

K-Lee looked around the classroom where everyone was pairing or paired up. Flicking hair out of her face she searched for someone who wasn't paired up.

"Anyone else need a partner? Or is willing to have 3 in a group?" She asked loud enough so everyone could hear. The second year Slytherin hoped that someone would notice her.

Iris smiled. "Awesome. And don't worry, I won't." Iris looked down at their legs. The height thing was either going to be a huge advantage, or an even bigger disadvantage. And there was really only one way to figure it out.

"Professor Saylen! We're ready!" The prefect yelled out. Well... she did say to tell her when they were ready. hehe.

Hm.

No responses. Well SOMEONE had to be her partner. She couldn't have a three legged race by herself. Though technically she could if she stepped halfway out of her costume, but where was the fun in that?

Her eyes continued to scan the class from her spot on the bench, settling on a Slytherin girl. Hm. She seemed familiar, but Arya couldn't really place where she had remembered her from.

Hopping off of her bench, she skipped over to the girl, plopping down beside her with a smile. "You lookin for a partner to?" Cause one had found her if she was. Mmhmm.

"I think so!," This was going to be fun. "Professor, Emily and I are ready!

Mia giggled again. "I'm not offended. And don't stress, we haven't met before, I just make it a point to know who the authority figures are." She tipped him a small wink before laughing.

She stood up when Jacob did and she wobbled a little but was just able to right herself before she fell. Turning to look at him, Mia grinned again. "You'll be right. But I think we may need to put our arms around each other. You know, for support." She didn't want the poor boy to think that she was hitting on him or anything.

Hehe, look at that, some students were already falling on their behinds.
Maya sort of hid her face behind the cute Crup she was still holding, not wanting the kids to see how much she was enjoying this.

Hearing the calls of some students that were good to go, she nodded at them, "Feel free to walk about a bit, get familiar with your legs all tied up like that." Not that it would matter much later. HEHE.


"If anyone hasn't found a partner yet, let me know." She called out, scanning the area to see wether someone needed help.

Spotting a Hufflepuff boy strolling by and looking down at her, Sierra gave him a glare, silently telling him that he just better not laugh or make fun of her in any way. Although she wanted to be angry at him, she couldn't help but laugh lightly at his comment on losing one of her nine lives. She did kind of turn her head as she laughed, though. She didn't want him to think she was getting too friendly with him.

Then suddenly, she felt something blow up behind her and attach itself to her lower back. At first, she thought she'd been kicked, and she rolled over and glanced around in horror. It was only then that she saw her cat tail swishing around behind her, and she realized Puffer Boy had put it back on for her.

That made two times he'd helped her out, so she fairly sure now there was something he wanted from her. Just what did Puffer want, hmm?! "Thanks," she softly said.

Then suddenly, without warning, she was being pulled up off the ground, much in the same way she'd imagine a puppet being tugged along by its strings. This whole tied together/three-legged whatever deal just wasn't working out for her so far. She narrowed her eyes, annoyed simply at the situation in general. Exactly what was this supposed to prove?!

"That's alright," Sierra mumbled, brushing some dirt off her costume. She adjusted her mask and then nodded toward Ella. "Yeah, that feels much better," she said. "Thanks."

She turned her gaze to the professor when Ella announced that they were ready. Well, ready or not, something disastrous was about to happen. She just knew it!

Hearing the question as Evelyn found a partner of her own, Simon moved closer and offered a polite smile to the younger Slytherin. "I do in fact," he answered her. "Would you accept me as your own?" he added having never met the girl before not to mention a difference in heights between a second and sixth year.

She would have been happy enough to pair up with someone who's costume wasn't going to get in the way but...

...

Right.

"Not anymore." she said, and even put a smile on her face. It wasn't even forced! Mostly, because she had been practicing. Teehee. Hmmm, had she met this girl before? "So, the rope."

Yea. That thing, over there. They needed that.

Stare.

Oh! It was just a charm; the crup still had the awesome tail. Good. ...Not that Dallin would've done anything had the tail actually been moved... but still. Forked tails were cooler.

...They were going to put their costumes to use? How was a three-legged race supposed to put costumes to use? "Anyone still need a partner?" Dallin asked, looking around the room. Hopefully his partner wouldn't be wearing a full-body suit that's hard to move in.

Eino made the utmost effort to stand up and walk towards Kurumi. All the rocks on his back were so heavy and hurting so much that he felt like he was going to break the ground! "Ow, ow, ow, ow." He complained with each step he took as he walked towards Kurumi. "Let's be partners, okay?" He asked looking for the nearest place to rest. He had never participated in a three-legged race, in fact, he didn't know what they were, but he was mostly curious as to how this related back to care of magical creatures.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Vashti," the Ravenclaw replied before moving over the pile of ropes and picking one up. "So, Kita, how do you want to do this? Do you want your right or left leg tied?"

Ella caught the little 'narrowing of the eyes' business, and even though Sierra wasn't glaring directly at her, Ella knew that she had annoyed her already. Her eyebrows creased together slightly but she didn't comment. Wasn't her fault this three-legged thing was stupidly dangerous.

Getting the OK from the professor to start the little walk, Ella nodded. "Right." Yes. "Okay." Gah!

Once again, she held out her left foot to make a step, then pulled the weight on their tied feet. All she needed was Sierra to do the same and off they would gooooo! "I was excited for this, but now I'm not so sure." Ella commented, in attempts to make small talk.

What did this have to do with de-tailing a crup? Quite an abrupt subject change, if she said so herself.

Snatching Walnut up before fur began flying, she turned around when she heard the sound of...rocks? "Eino? Is that you?" she asked trying to hold back her laughter a bit. How was he expecting to move with all those rocks on him? "Nice costume. I am sure you will attract lots of Pogrebins." Okay, now she was laughing.

"Sure, I'd love to be partners with you, as long as you are okay with me holding Wanut," she said holding up the kitty. Walnut, was not all that happy to see Eino. His ears went back for a moment. The kid better not try anything shifty... "I'm afraid he might try to make friends with the Crup that Professor Saylen is holding."

Kita smiled. "Nice to meet you too, Vashti," she said. She watched as Vashti walked towards a pile of ropes and picked one up. She just hoped it wasn't going to fall off during the race. "Um... I don't mind..." she said, "I'll have my right tied up." Her and her lack of decision making skills was seriously going to be tested one day.

Alright, so that meant Vashti would have to tie her left leg. She nodded and stepped to Kita's right side, placing her leg next to Kita's. She then bent down and began tying the rope around their legs, taking a few seconds to tie it tightly and hoping it wasn't too tight so that they wouldn't be able to untie it. "There," she said, standing once she was done.

Authority figure? What Authority? Jacob couldn't even controll his aye-aye, Bertha, let alone people....... oh right.... captain. No one listened to him anyways... so there goes the authority part. its just figure, Jacobs not a figure! He's are real boy!

Yeah, unless he passes out... the costume was sufficating him!

Wait... what? He raised an eyebrow at Mia. Girls were so weird, he didn't need to hold onto no one. Jacob could do even this by himself.... if he had the abilty to grow a third leg. "Whatever." he said and put his hairy gorilla arm around her, and looked down at their feet.

"So how are we gonna do this?" he asked. "Outer foot, then inner foot? or like what?" cause Jacob's never done this before... it it would be awkward if a Quidditch player fell on his face even before they started.

With exhausted and heavy steps Damian stepped inside the class area.
Her look was messed up as usually - unbuttoned shirt sleeves, dangerously leaning robe on the end of her shoulders, bloody hands and shirt from owl scratches, school uniform skirt. Her hair was ragged, falling on her face and covering her cheeks, yet out of her dark, almost black eyes with red circles around them like she was sick, making contrast with her pale and cold skin. Her damaged lips seemed frozen and unable to move.
Damian gave a dead look around the room with a lazy movement and went for the closest seat. The voices around her seemed distant like they were coming from under the water. She closed her eyes, concentrating on "coming back to earth".
"Pleasure to finally meet you, Professor..." Damian smiled.

Noticing the raised eyebrow, Mia couldn't help but laugh again. She supposed he thought he could do this on his own and she was tempted to let him try it but she didn't really feel like hitting the ground with her face right now. So she placed her arm around him and gripped tightly onto his hairy back.

Mia looked down at their feet and chewed on her bottom lip for a moment while she thought which way was the best way to go about this. "How about we start with the inner foot first?" Although she usually started off on her right foot so this might be a little weird.

"You ready?"

Good. Arya's smile grew wider. So, she wasn't gonna have to find another partner. Good.

Oh, the rope. She has plans of asking the girl if she wanted her to get the rope or not, when the other girl just stared at her. It was a bit unnerving, the staring, but it did get the older girl's message across, as she probably had wanted it to.

Arya nodded her head, "The rope. Yes. I'll go get it." Nope. No argument being put up, she was in too good of a mood to do that, as the boucing over to the box had proved.

Picking out a rope that would wrap around her big leg and the other girl's, she made her way over holding the rope up. "Got the rope." Now they could play! "Oh, my name's Arya by the way."
